Maybe this one is muggled, please check! My GPS told me GZ was at the fence, but no zebras. The trees and reeds side seemed more likely. However no show of zebras near there either. Did find a ball in the place I thought a container had been situated...see image.
Found that at GZ grass all crushed down and area where it looks like the cache possibly should have been was a bare patch of earth..
CO may need to look into this one as I feel it may have been muggled

Je n'ai pas essayer de faire cette cache, car j'ai vu qu'il y avait un dnf juste avant...
J'aurai peut etre du allez voir quand meme.

Was unable to locate this cache despite GPS showing I was standing right in top of it. Has anyone seen it recently?
Continuing our hunt for large caches we headed over to this one to see how zebras are caught. The Tom Tom got the car near from the north and we saw an area in front of us that looked like it was being cleared so we hoped GZ would still be there. As got closer we realised there was a walking loop around the pond and GZ was on the other side. We made our way round and once close soon made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. Great sized cache. Take note however that we did see a couple of syringes in the area when we were looking for the cache. Didn't spot any zebras though!
always great to find a large cache. had to wait for some muggles to pass by but then it was down to checking out the swag and signing the log. TFTC
Nice quick find to the sound if water in the wind making me want to wee. That should stop people trying to small zebra. Tftc tnln
Didn't think I was going to be successful with all the works that are going on around here. Fortunately I found the water hole and then the cache - but no zebras.
The wetlands are always a surprise to me in the middle of Ballarat.
Great to find a large container.

We came here attracted by the scent of zebra and a large cache, but we're either blind or the shiny new fence a GZ has something to do with the cache's disappearance.
Our 4th DNF for the day

Had the day off work today due to the festy weather, what better to do than tick off a few more local caches!
I wandered about for a bit hoping to spot some zebras, but to no avail, perhaps its not close enough to their season
I was beginning to think I wouldnt find this cache and then, there it was right in front of me!
No swaps today, found at 0912hrs.
Thanks for the hide

Nice easy find, today the only muggle was a little kid on his bike doing laps
Easy find. Our first cache of this size and type of container so a bit of a thrill to find.

what a great place, it must improve the quality of the water markedly. the vegetation was certainly thriving. Sadly no Zebras, it was worth a try. I just saw lots of ducks instead

littlest Lookabout found this with McLookers on a great geocaching adventure day. Thanks McLookers!
Wow, what a big cache and some great swaps. Geokid and his friend The Lookabouts Geokid were excited. Took ball and tree, left rattle, footy card and badge. Thanks for bringing us here.
A pleasant walk to an area I have never been. The number of Zebra hunters has increased by one, see photo. The leopard was purchased from a market near Johannesburg RSA. Give him a good home.

Found with little effort after parking car in nearby industrial area.
Took a working lighter from the cache as something that should not have been placed there to start with.

Last cache of the day and a lovely spot to go zebra hunting. Although we didn't see any zebras we did see a zebra duck!!! TFTC. We have enjoyed hunting zebras even if it isn't JUly!
God bless my gps. On a previous occasion I was scratching around on the opposite side of the track. TFTC
After a day of doctors and tests out was good to get out for a cache. Went down the wrong side and ended up doing the circuit. Well the doctor did say to try and keep exercising..not sure he meant that far though lol This was my cache for the day ....3 more days to get my 31 in a row.No zebras today just a few ducks in disguise. Found this cache over a year ago. Some how i missed logging it. GPS wasn't heading us in the right direction but we soon found it. Fantastic cache.

Great little spot, had some muggle workmen in paddock next to it, lucky a big mound of dirt was blocking there view. Geofamily went in and retrieved the big cache, took fish and left dinosaur.
Found with the munchkins! What an awesome find, such a big cache very well camo'd
found after some initial trouble with the gps taking us down a back road to get as close to the cache as possible, friendy tip for everyone park at the entrance to the wetlands area TNLN TFTC

Having been locked inside for most of the weekend, trying to get End of Year Tax Reconciliations done, I discovered I needed to make yet another visit to the office to pick up more paperwork. Have had my new Montana for a week, and not even getting a chance to play with it, so decided to give myself half an hour out of work, and collect 2 x caches on the "long way round detour" to the office. Enjoyed the walk to GZ in the chilling Ballarat winds, and the large camo was quickly spotted. Nice to see a big container out when so many now seem to be Micro or Nano. Cache contents in tip top condition, log signed and on my way to the office. Many Thanks to 64EH for another of this series.
We went zebra hunting on the first of July and found this cache! I was confused for a while because my Magellan Explorist GC took me to the wrong side of the trail. In the end I decided to follow my instincts, crossed to the other side of the trail, and found the cache immediately. I was with my 5-year-old boy. We left a TB (Gorilla in the Garden) and took nothing. We were lucky with the weather. It had been raining most of the day but the rain stopped for us just long enough to find the cache and return to the car. The rain settled in again immediately after this!
Because it was raining, i decided to stay in the car with my 3 months old daughter while my husband Clayton & 5 yrs old son were looking for the cache. Signed log as Bolitho Gang TFTC. Oh...forgot..we left a TB there too
Found with geo child on our way to Tailem Bend to do Wandering Hero's Series of caches. This was No 4 of 23 finds for the day. Geo child was onto this on. Was a little wet around here. TFTC T1L1
I had a bit of spare time before the Ballarat Flashmob Event, and this one was close to my route, so I headed here. I first found the nearby micro, then headed here for a nice quick find. Thanks for the nice big cache.
I have been hunting these elusive Zebras in Ballarat for a while now and have not spotted any but I will keep an eye out.
Parked where the GPS suggested but I had quite a wander to the cache location and thought it was on the other side of the path but once the old GPS settled the very generous sized container was found and signed.
Very soggy around here today, thanks to 64EH for placing this cache.

This cache formed one of the many caches I grabbed on my overnight trip to Ballarat with Camping in a swag at creswick and a 1 of 3 flash mobs attended in 24 hours.
I remember when this series first came out I was looking forward to finding them. I enjoyed a clockwise walk around this area late and night and it was good to find a decent sized cache. TFTC

@1625 This was my second place hunting for Zebras. I wandered around the path looking for somewhere to hide. I spied a great spot and headed towards it. Once settled in there I herd a noise! Shh.... Could it be a Zebra? The noise got closer and closer. There it is I can see it! Disappointment came over me when I realised it was someone walking with a Collingwood top on and not a zebra after all. I was just about to leave and go to a meeting at the SES when I tripped over something. It was this cache.
So I signed it and then went to my meeting.

Day 3 and final day of our Ballarat Smackdown weekend with DazRascal, Blacklegend, Quasar3671 & Trailrunning which seen us collecting a great range of caches over 3 days, and this was one of them.
Well, still no Zebras, but we did find a good sized cache in another nice spot!
Many thanks for the Zebras caches over the weekend! Good fun.
TNLN SL. Cheers.

One of 184 cache finds during our "Ballarat Smackdown" weekend of caching on the 23rd to 25th. There were 13 of us including Blacklegend and three of his kids, Trailrunning, Haveanez and their two boys, Dazrascal and myself amd my two boys Tyler and Cooper. We'd spent a few weeks planning the trip, with every Ballarat Puzzle solved in the area, cache lists and road and route maps all ready to go. We stayed in the Miners Retreat Motel for the two nights and the accomodation and facilities were great. Our goal was simple - find as many caches as possible in the time we were here !
We found a great variety of caches and hides during the three days, which also involved a bit of walking and some 4WD fun as well in the state forests north of Ballarat. The weather was quite cold of the Friday and Saturday morning but eventually cleared to nice sunny weather Saturday arvo and Sunday. We all had a great time, especially the kids who did really well to keep up with the pace we were moving.
Our third day of caching and it was another big day ahead of us before splitting up early in the afternoon. With some four wheel driving, some essential caches to collect and getting 'lost' in the bush and some tricky caches found, the day turned out to be quite an adventure. With cars loaded with the gear and kids, we checked out of the accommodation and hit the road. A nice quick find and good sized cache. Thanks for the hide.

One of 182 caches I personally found during our "Ballarat Smackdown" trip. The trip included teams Quasar3671, Trailrunning, Haveanez, Dazrascal and myself. Caches included around 30 mystery caches, a few earth caches, lots of trads and multis and both day and night caching. Some 4WD action was encountered as well, which was great. All puzzles within 60kms were solved.
I took three of my kids, Jasmine 7yo, James and Jemma 5yo twins, traveling from Tocumwal. The trip covered 3 days and two nights, staying in Ballarat. Quasar3671 took his two boys as did Haveanez. One of the best caching trips I have been on, and certainly lots and lots of finds, almost clearing out the main Ballarat area. Home base was the Miners Retreat motel, which was quite pleasant and quiet.
This was a find on our Sunday day run, which was only a half day run. Continued our walk after pauls wetlands cache to grab this one. Nice to find an ammo can. TFTC.

We were up to cache 132 at the conclusion of the Saturday of the “Ballarat Cache Smackdown”. Having arrived here on Friday night we had gone hard all weekend. It didn’t stop last night with a few juices being drunk before going to bed. The after effects of this were that we are all a little slow in starting up today. Having packed the cars and checking out of our home base we started our Sunday run with a few caches we missed the night before (the kids really did need to go to bed). The highlight of my morning was straining my left calf muscle running up a 4WD track. That sort of slowed me down for the rest of the day. We had a few must do caches today before splitting up and heading home. This was one of them. Find #137 for the “Smackdown” weekend. A nice quick run around the lake. Thanks.
Drove here from burning tower, which meant the GPS wanted me to drive in from the wrong end, where there is no road. I'm sure I've looked for a cache in this park before. Actually now that I look there is is still one at the other end.
Dropped off a bug. The page says there should be two here, but not today. They hadn't been here long, so maybe they've been grabbed recently.
Thanks for bringing me here.

The last in the series to finish it off. A lovely wander around the wetlands to see if the zebras were home. Lots of water birds playing on the water enjoying the gentle rain. SL at 5.40pm Took: dice Left: Fluffy Ears TB to play with the zebras when they come home, and a PT. Have really enjoyed this series and absolutely loved going zebra hunting via geokids exciting sleepwalking! So TFTC series and all the adventures it took us on.#993
A quick find after walking around from the other cache in this wetlands area. This story never ceases to make me laugh! No zebras today. TFTC, TNL: pathtag.
Although I was looking and hunting, I couldn't find any zebra's today. However I did find a nice sized cache container that was simply but well hidden from prying eyes. Log signed and cache rehidden. Thanks for the hide.
Found whilst holidaying from Western Australia with a couple of friends... A very windy and cold day! But successful none of the less Thanks for the cache
I've already been to this lake before to do the other micro, this cache is a far more entertaining size to find. No real troubles finding the cache, it would be tough to spot at night though I think.
This ends my zebra hunting soujurn in Ballarat, I didn't spot one single zebra, not even a black or white stripe. I hang my rifle up on it's imaginary shelf and await more equid entertainment.

It was trickier than anticipated, but the kids enjoyed the hunt. No zebras, but we have left a snake, a boo-bah and a little Japanese figurine. Miss 7 says thanks for the necklace!
