While family had a good hunt around. Short of digging up the whole compost heap we didn't find it. Kids enjoyed the park though
Don't know about not disturbing foliage, but I sure disturbed compost, and an army of mozzies are taken revenge.
Must flee.
Must flee.
Took this as a challenge given the dnf logged on this earlier today.
Found pretty much as per clue. Compost heap is not an issue fortunately.
The comment on terrain is valid though... Maybe 1.5
Nice park , thanks

My Garmin thought GZ was near the small plank bridge. I looked about there, but then moved to the "corner", as per the hint. It's a compost heap there, plus it doesn't match the terrain rating of one, as a person in a wheelchair would not be able to get to the corner. I checked out a few other places; none of them wheelchair accessible (one star terrain) though. So I don't know where the cache is. This hasn't been found since July, so perhaps the CO should do a visit and confirm it is still there.
Have been here a few times but always with too many muggles around (and poor caching eyes) - the last time the people in the next property were sitting having morning tea outside and were looking at me. Today one of my daughters was having a driving lesson to see if she was ready to sit her restricted licence (yay - she was so go that booked too, just hope she passes first time cause now she's at uni it is harder to arrange these things) and I walked over to this cache just in case, even though it is school holidays, to see if I could finally get to the cache unseen. Yep - today was the charm. Thanks azza-ro - can get this cache off my list at last and added a smile to the map.
Out and about on a splendid Autumn day for a spot of geocaching North of Auckland. On the return leg now. Time for one last cache find and this was it. Parked up and made the walk to GZ. Checked a couple of spots before making the find. Cheers for the cache placement!
The flying leech's were out in fine form biting and chomping their way through my husband. Forgot to look at the hint so we went back after viewing hint and found second time round straight away. TFTC
Needed a stealthy retrieval here, as lots of houses about.
No problem today however. Tftc.

Today was my final day in NZ before returning to Australia. Was out this morning in the Orewa area for a caching run and this was the third find for the morning.
Parked nearby & enjoyed the morning stroll through this beautiful park. Approached GZ & found cache quickly. Ensured we weren't being watched by neighboring muggles, signed and replaced.
TFTC!
Greetings from Australia.

Glad the ground was dry underfoot, made for a quick find. Nice hiding place. TFTC, SL, TNLN
Today we headed headed from Auckland to Mangawhai Heads finding caches at each small town along the way. We enjoyed our drive around the lush green countryside.
Nearly thought we ha to log a DNF but a second look it was soon located.
Thanks for placing this cache azza-ro
Eventually found our way in after a circumnavigation! Thought, at first, that it would be covered but checked an alternative "corner". TFTC.

Nice little walk at night, found it quite easily, container was sticking out in plain view but it looks quite natural like that because of where it is.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent the afternoon caching around Orewa/Whangaparaoa, the park was nice and quiet and no eyes seemed to be watching us from the houses, so we made a quick find here. TFTC!

Nobody in the park so we had no problem poking about until we came up trumps.Allgood,thankyou.
Debris in the corner had us wondering whether this was covered, quite exposed with the neighbours nearby so quietly poked about, found signed and left, tftc
This one is close to our school. Found it after school today with the kids. Added a pig and sand balloon. Took out put under the log.
Found during fozzmiester's MEGA 2013 road trip.
A quick and easy find with the park deserted. TFTC

On our way to Mega after a week caching in Northland. Need 2 more to break 4000 finds. Easy find but challenging to recover due close proximity of muggles. TFTC.
No problems with muggles today - nobody else was silly enough to be out in the heavy downpours. TFTC
A few people and dogs walked through the park while I was here, but thankfully it didn't seem that anyone was home. Still, was very quick at signing log and returning.
On way back to car a very bouncy dog appeared and tried to carry a large stick (branch really) back to it's owner. Quite funny to see it half carrying, half dragging the branch. TFTC

Mmmmm, something smells absolutely delectable. Barbecue; invite me in! No tbs in cache so left a resurrected one.

Bit of an adventure finding this one, met the home owner who was preparing the grounds for a family wedding right beside GZ, I explained what I was looking and between the 2 of us found the cache, duly signed log and replaced cache.
She then told me that that explained the visitors who were often observed loitering around the corner of their place, but only for a short time -;)
All good, say high !
Thanks! ( all the best for the wedding -- to June & family)

There was nobody about today so I was able to quickly carry out mission. A nice park.
Didn't feel so comfortable to look here. Felt like eyes coming from everywere out of the houses. Was happy to ride back on my bike again.
Nice easy find. Lid could do with some more camo paint as this is what stood out when we were hunting for it. Didn't hang around here long cause the blood thirsty locals were out in swarms.
Nice easy find yet make sure you take mozzie protection as I became the main meal SLTFTC
Just realised we forgot to log this one! Not sure when we found it exactly, only that it was just before we moved down South.... nice easy find, luckily no muggles around, only a small one that was keeping busy in the nearby playground and didn't pay us any attention TFTC!

A nice quick find and a great chance for the dogs to have a run around before the long trip home. They must have realised that they were going to be cooped up again all too soon and ran around with great delight. Nothing like three happy dogs! Thanks for the cache placement.

We spent the afternoon in the Orewa area finding the many new caches that have been published. The park was almost deserted apart from a mum and her 3 kids. Managed to get to GZ without drawing too much attention and quickly located the cache. Hid behind a nearby tree to sign the log. TFTC.
Found it with Simal during our trip in Northland. Greetings from Czech republic and TFTC. IN: TB.
Missed one entrance so basically walked in a circle round to another then nice quick find. Then out of the entrance I should've taken in the first place. TFTC #2619
Nice hint! And nice cache
Beware of the window overlooking the GZ

Kids too busy playing on the playground to find this cache. Good find with my Mum instead
Beutiful Spring morning so had to get a few caches done whilst in Orewa. Only a couple of walkers around and no-one in the houses nearby, so no problems with cache. TNLN
Quick find. The dog on the property nearest the cache wasnt too impressed with me... must have been the presence of my 4 legged caching buddy that upset him! Thanks.
A very cool and quiet little park.
After we'd located the cache, our son and his friend played in the park and did some airplane flying.
