As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Had a good look and garball thought she knew where this had been having found it previously. Had a good look but decided to go on a find some others as the likelihood was that it is no longer
Found this a couple of years ago and today was with my sister who hadn't yet found it and I'm almost completely sure it is not where it used to be. An extended search showed up nothing either. Suspect maintenance might be needed here.
Had a look inbetween the streams of muggles. Found a small pencil which may have fitted inside a container but no cache. Spotted by a family of geocachers from Whangarei. Will add to watch list.
Crafty hide. One of those ones where you just stand back and you notice things. TFTC
What a windy day today is, although the sun is shining too. Walked with dogs through the park to get here. Never seen this estuary so close before.

We were out for a walk with friends and decided to show them a few caches. Last find of the the day.

Bodea found this one but didn't go for the grab b/c spider webs. Love that! I signed the log under the almost full moon near this lovely evening lit estuary.
When one thinks of an outflow, one might be forgiven for thinking of a pipe of some sort. So with this misconception in mind, Rebel98 and his trusty companion rustynz and I arrive to see some another sort of outflow! I guessed where the cache might be and found it in the first place I looked! Lucky me. Your mind has to be versatile to be a cacher! Cheers azza-ro.

Parked down at the bridge and now our small caching group is circumnavigating the estuary. This is our first find on our adventure, thankfully a quick stop, although did get sidetracked by the detour outflow pipe located nearby, but really only one place it could be. Found by Gorby, rebel98 was not far away! Thanks for the hide
Geodogs on best behaviour as people, other dogs and cyclists abound on this good sized circuit. Very busy for a weekday but the weather very spring-like for mid winter. Nice hide in good condition. tftc
I discovered, to my dismay, that my car battery was well and truly flat this morning. After getting some help to get it started I was left with the task of driving around to recharge the battery. Well, nothing for it but a long drive up the motorway followed by some park and grabs to get things make in full working order. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!
With the battery recharged and the tank all gased up it was time to tackle something other than park and grabs. I parked up nearby and made the short stroll to GZ. I had actually visited this spot earlier in the day, but with the GPSr trying to put me in the water, a constant stream of muggles, and then some students deciding they wanted to film right next to GZ I decided that discretion is the better part of valour and left. On my return a friendly dog walking muggle from a nearby abode asked if I would like a hint. Soon had the cache in hand after that. After a brief chat about geocaching we went our separate ways. Cheers for the cache placement!

Was busy with my head up an outflow when Ric found the cache !!! Thanks azza-ro ...good spot !
Mrs. Barny found this one. We were having a lovely walk around the estuary on a very sunny day!
Visited GZ after dinner in town with my muggle nephew. Searched for awhile and GPS had me initially searching in the wrong area. Once I stepped back to view the whole area, found a more likely spot and my nephew made the find.
Unfortunately I was spotted by a muggle neighbours :'( he stood very menacingly from his window and though I waved, he didn't look amused...

Very high muggle zone. Never seen so many kids on bikes and scooters as around here. Found pretty quickly and without muggle drama.
Today Mallorcatommy and me walked around that wonderful lake.
On our walk we could find some geocaches. This was one of them!
Thanks for hiding!

Today we started the walk around this nice lake, while great weather and with the last sunbeams in our back. This and some more geocaches we could find on our way.

Muggles to the max today... stealth was definitely needed. Thanks for bringing us here to this fantastic walkway.
Post find log. Found this a couple of weeks ago when out for a cycle. Beautiful area for a ride.
Discoverd after about 4 caches that I signed my first finds of the day with the wrong date - I blame the early start. Had yet to discover this fantastic walkway around the estuary where we can also take the dog so thanks for bringing us here. GPSr had me in the wrong spot but my other half spotted a likely place and sure enough there it was!
Out and about today with my lovely wife, Stella. Trying to pick up the caches in the northern side of the estuary. Was all good up until this point. Wife fell in water then found a bag of dog doo. We're just about to give up on this one when we both spotted it at the same time. Nice hidey hole. Tftc.

[green] At long last, after two weeks of Auckland Mega and the GeoTours North and South, I can get my bike out and go for a ride. Over 30 caches by bike today! This one was an easy find, but I had to disguise my actions from some muggles standing just over there.
A lovely windy stroll alnog the estuary. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely place. TFTC
Found it after extensively looking in a different place.. Have moved it less than 0.5m so now the clue makes sense. TFTC
It appears from previous logs that this cache has suffered from 'cache creep', so it would appreciated if the next person to find it would place it back closer to its original co-ordinates. TIA
Showing some newbies how it's done and so it was found by a newbie. TFTC!!!!!
Decided that biking this track was much quicker than walking as only got a short way round last weekend before the novelty wore off. Mr Alligator with me on his slightly worse for wear bike that needs a bit of TLC (who needs a bell when the squeaky brakes do the trick!).
Mr was keen as, turning over every rock he could find but alas to no avail, whereas I moved something gently aside and voila there it was. TFTC

No luck here. GPS honed right in but couldn't see cache. Nice view though- I'll be back!
Returned it to where I found it, which may not be the place where it was originally hidden as the clue does not quite correspond. Nearby though!
5.15pm - Great little walk in the wind & rain to find cache sitting out in the open, maybe this cache needs a bit of maintenance before it washes away in the tied, positioned it a little higher and is safe at the moment. SLTFTC
Found by Lizzie10 and Roger from the UK out with fellow cachers(family) ChrisnDust and James. No problem for a couple of old Rockers like us!TFTC.
Thought I'd may as well come up this way after work and find the last cache I hadn't already found on the walk. I finish at 4 so can grab caches before the evening walkers/cyclers are about. TFTC
Looks like a nice area but will be a while before I make it back to crocodile island

A quick find while out for an enjoyable morning stroll along the walkway. TFTC
Nice easy find on a really neat walkway. I notice that the tide is right out, so a trip across to "Crocodile Island" is in order for our 400th. find.
12.05pm. Found this one after an aborted attempt at the crocodile island. (It was too muddy) The info was in the car so we only had the GPS coords but soon has it in hand.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Have replace with a temporary log book. Original will be replaced once it is dried out.
Out today clearing up a few more......
Grabbing a few caches in the area while passing through on our 'how ever long it takes' NZ tour.
Thanks for setting this up.

This was quite an easy one to find and I found it myself! The pencil needs sharpening though, so would advise to bring your own pen.
A nice day at last, morning rain gone.....Having a great time finding these NZ caches. TFTC from a couple of Canucks.
An easy find in between hoards of walking and biking muggles along this rather nice estuary walkway. TFTC.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Set out today with the aim of reaching our next milestone of 500 cache finds. Heading to Orewa and Shakespear Regional Park to do this.
Quick easy find, under the first tried.
