In Auckland visiting family and finding a few geocaches while we are here. Quick find here of the replacement cache. Tftc
Had some help to solve this puzzle from no.1 daughter Kaneclan1234 and teenagers D10A10N and CrazyCat369.Was keen to sign the log,.. but not often in this area... Today, I was visiting my Greenlane sister, and it was only 15 mins further, so off I went!I had seen from recent logs that it may be missing....so I hope it's ok with C.O....have replaced with a new and different type of sistema...fresh paper in a pill bottle ...and tiny toys to swap.Found a likely place at the base of a tree... covered it with natural camo .
Solved the puzzle with help of the hint. Probably wouldn't have solved it without. Got a green tick on the Geochecker. Went to the location on my way home today and had a good look around, but could find nothing.
I solved this one years ago - 9 or 10 of them. So I was quite excited to think I would finally sign it off today but unfortunately that wasn't to be. If I had realised troodles and Streetwalker hadn't been able to find it I may have given it a miss. Had a good look round to no avail. Hopefully next time?
Can't remember how I solved the puzzle as this has been on my list for a while. Finally free of all obligations so taking the opportunity to clear a few solved puzzles. About 10 minutes zeroing in and the cache was found pretty much at GZ. Wet so replaced the log and recovered with natural. TFTC.
Solved this yesterday since I knew I would be working close by today.
I quickly located the needed I go to solve.
At the GZ there were a lot of choices of where to look, but after a few minutes I had it in hand.
Was half full of water inside, but the log is waterproof, so no issues there.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache!
Maintenance note : log is so full I had to sign near the logo, will need new paper soon.
Maybe a future finder can bring it a new piece.

Solved this forever ago and was at Rainbow’s End for a work team building event so afterwards popped here to have a little looksee. Tried a few items that matched the clue but only once I’d gone uphill slightly did I spot the cache. Squeezed my initials onto the log.
I used to have National Pride, but it’s getting weaker and weaker given the appalling state of my home country at the minute. Might be time to bite the bullet and go for that NZ citizenship. We’re nit perfect over here, but it feels a damn sight better than the UK right now!
Thanks for the extra smile for my afternoon!

This was our last cache for the day. My son was coming over for the evening so we were having a bit shorter day today - home by 7pm not the usual 8-9pm. We'd had an early morning (6am start) collecting virtuals in the CBD. We'd then been out collecting puzzles and trads around the Eastern suburbs to help fill in my XaXe suburb challenge. I didn't find this cache last time I was here and I was green with envy when my friend recently found it. Today it was a really easy find. It wasn't even covered and I'm sure I looked here last time. Oh well. I was very pleased to avenge this dnf today. Thanks for the puzzle cache
Day four of our 11 day binge trip we are signing as NNESGGF because Gracie's GPS Fun has joined us. We solved this a while ago.
Yay school holidays! Time for a road trip with my friend Ethness. I flew from Christchurch to Wellington. The idea is to drive up to the top of the North Island and back. We planned the trip ages ago.
Thanks DazndKy (adopted by FMZ) for placing this geocache 7761 find for me.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Solved the puzzle a while ago. With the help of the hint and a little research on the internet it wasn't too difficult. But when I remember it right, I also had some guessing to do. I came to Auckland today to find the missing jewels for the Mystery in the Museum challenge. With my smartphone bouncing around, it took us some some time to locate the cache location, but we managed. Cache was a little wet and we dried it off as good as possible. Logbook is also full.
Nicely hidden. It was fun. Tftc

Our first find for today in order to recover the missing jewels for the Mystery in the Museum challenge. Nice hide, very enjoyable.
Found together with Piratenschatzsucher and Greenkiwikids and signed as team Piraten. Tftc

On a souvenir hunt with Mum and Dad. The plan for today is to find exactly 6 caches in order to recover the missing jewels. This was strike one. Tftc
long time solved, today was the day to eventually find it, a quick find, nice and peaceful in here, tftc
23rd of the day. I think this was solved as part of another puzzle cache. Finding the cache proved difficult for me even though it was quite a simple hide. I walked around gz at least four times. TFTC.
Didn't take me too long to find a site to gain the info needed to solve this puzzle.. Once I had the first flag sorted it was a breeze from there. Then it was just a matter to do the math, I got the geochecker to work on my first attempt, very pleased with that.
So this puzzle was one of four I had on my agenda today, got to GZ and opened the container and realised I had forgotten to bring up the new log paper, couldn't be bothered heading back to the car to get it, so if the next finder could bring some new paper along please!! Then I headed back to the airport to finish off the new cycle way caches.

This was the last cache of our great day out. Solved this one a few weeks ago along with Nat Pride 2. This one will need a bit of CO attention as the log was full and there was a replacement but it wet and unusable. Will log a maintenance request
Logbook is full, replacement sheet from 2017 is wet and mouldy. Cache had a small amount of water in it.
Nice area, lots of birdsong this evening.
Nice area, lots of birdsong this evening.
Find number 4171. I had to drop my brother at the airport so I decided to grab a few caches before heading home. I had done the solve some time ok and it had been sitting in my solved pile too long. Thankfully it was a quick find once I got to GZ. So it was with pride I signed the log. Thank you for the placement
One last stop for the day to find this one after having solved it quite some time ago (have to start finding the finals on solves before all of them are disabled - there have been a lot in that category, unfortunately). Weather conditions weren't great and we were getting hungry, the time being well past lunch. As per the previous log, was walking around in circles until I looked once more in the area I had started in and discovering the cache container - note to self, look harder next time!!! Nice puzzle and hide.
Decided to keep my solved puzzles up to date. GPS had me walking around in circles so used my geo sense and the cache was soon located. Nice puzzle.
On a geocaching marathon today to get my numbers up for the year. This one was my last find today and was special as I had it solved since years. At GZ it container was easy located. Now off home.. TFTC
Nice puzzle. Got the flags, got the codes but stuffed the maths..... Anyway solved , found and logged. A nice mystery. Box totally full of water. Emptied it and replaced it. Thank you.
Heading out to Flat Bush with Merlot58 and Jag50. As we were in the area we made the slight detour to find this puzzle final that has been on my solved list for awhile now. I made a quick find here.
We had solved this puzzle a long time ago. We were in the area with Merlot58 and Aiden29 so made a slight detour to collect this puzzle final. Aiden29 made a quick find here.
Work visit close by so thought I could duck in and pick this one up. No luck for me today.
Teamed up with Cats&Dragons and RWIMF today to tackle some GROTTY caches plus a few finds in the Botanic Gardens, with the focus on a few solved puzzles that have been in the solved pile for a little to long. In the end it turned out to be a hugely successful day with all but 1 cache found, a big thanks to all the CO's for the hides.
Enjoyed solving this puzzle, and had nearly forgotton that it was in the area. Noticed it on the GPS as we were heading past so a quick detour and a quick find. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.

This one was found on a caching day with Cats&Dragons and HKCB. I stopped counting at 34! This was the 2nd to last one for me, before they dropped me off to drive up the Whangarei, and they continued to spend the rest of the day caching. I couldn't solve it, so HKCB explained it to me, so we were then off to the cache site. Yay! coordinates were bang on.
First find for 2017
Solved this a "very" long time ago, but for various reasons had not been to collect. So today, made a special detour to come and find. Arrived at GZ, the GPS bounced a bit, but eventually found the hide!

I've had this on my solved puzzle list for months but have never had the opportunity to swing by and pick it up. I was out in the area today so decided to turn some of my solved puzzles into smiley faces. A nice quick find here too.
One of the first puzzles we've solved with relative ease! Cache was a little harder to find, tree coverage didn't help. After about ten minutes Amy finally cake across the well-camoed cache! Grabbed the TB. Tftc!
Well I've been looking at this one for a while and not sure what to do with puzzles I'd left it. Been doing a few more and decided to give it another crack. Figured out what the flags were but could not figure out the next part. After asking for help, one word made me realise I was googling the wrong thing! Tried inputting my co-ords and was getting the no go. What was I doing wrong? Until I realised that we're in the South and not the North! Gosh!
Came out today to collect the cache between rain showers and got the goods very happy to sign this one off and get the Mission GC souvenir. TFTC

I solved this one a while back and since I am spending some time in the neighbourhood at the moment decided this was a good day to get this cache. Really nice spot here, very quiet on a weekday. A little hunt in the rain and the cache was found. Found a spot to sign the log and dropped a couple of little swaps and a travel bug.
Noticed log was very full so walked back to the car to grab a spare log in a ziplock bag, popped in cache, hope that is ok. Great puzzle and cache, tftc.

First cache of the day with Pazzabella on ouf way to meet some friends at Totara park tftc
Geocchi and I enjoyed solving this on a cold dark winters night and picked it up on a scorching hot summers day. Cache all new tidy and dry. Thanks FMZ
Don't know why I struggled to find this the first time but today it was straight to it. Excellent puzzle TFTC
Mr A & I solved this one awhile back & now with him off to sleep for night shift I was given instructions to maintain one of our caches and to find this on my way.
The neighborhood dog wasn't that friendly but soon lost interest. Found reasonably quickly. Tis a tad damp inside but still able to sign log. TFTC

Completed this puzzle last night after looking at it on and off for a couple of months. Puzzles haven't generally been our strength, but decided that I didn't like the persistent unfound question marks so close to work!
Today was a dot day on our calendar and although the weather was marginal decided that, instead of going to yoga, I was going to get some caching meditation done instead! MrNZT rang and we decided to meet at GZ to claim our prize. Found the cache easily enough, was a little damp inside, but all in good order. re-hid as found. Yay, another smilie on our Manukau map! 09:15 - #20 Yes took me awhile and with a bit of help from my new found Geo-friends... Thanks...
This will be only the second time this year this cache has been found and I only managed to find it scattered over the hillside...
It looks like the weather got it more than being muggled... I put the cache back together, signed the log, thank goodness it was one of those waterproof logs, and placed it back where the GPS lead me covered it with debris so not so obvious and I carried on cache hunting...
Have a great day, everyone! e)

Out in South Auckland today to gather some puzzle finds and requirements for our GIO licence challenge.
We solved this puzzle quite awhile ago, so decided to finally head out today to make the grab. A quiet spot in this neighbourhood today, so we were able to make the find without any difficulties. Thanks for the puzzle and cache!

Most the time I ignore puzzles. Glad I gave this one a go! It didn't take tooooo long, and the retrieval was nice and quick. Cache is in good condition, nice and dry and tucked away.
I'd started this puzzle a while back before putting it on the back burner where its sat for a wee while now.
Finally made the effort during the week to get this one solved and with one pesky flag causing a bit of grief it took a wee while, but once I'd found the right location the geochecker was giving me the good news I needed to go and find the cache.
Nice quick find here at GZ which was pleasing as I'd not long come out of the optometrists and I was hoping my eyes would be in fine form today if nothing else.

I have heard it said that the more puzzles you do the easier it gets and this one proves it. I recall looking at this puzzle when I began caching and didn't have a clue where to start. One evening last week I sat down to see if I could solve a few more (in anticipation of the weather improving) and a short while later got a green tick on the first try on this one!! I then went on to complete some more
Was out and about today and saw this one was not far from where I was heading so a short detour later we were at GZ. What a great little spot! Left the kids to make the find and signed log. Cache is in very good condition, still nice and dry after all this rain.
Thanks for the puzzle and adventure.

There sure are lots of similar flags around the world! I finally got my error straightened out with some help from the CO. Fortunately, the find was much easier. XNSL. TFTC.
After having solved the National Pride puzzles at home before coming to NZ on holidays, I had found #2 on our way to the hotel shortly after we arrived. So today back in Auckland Street or trip I went and found #1
Thanks for puzzle and cache.

Really enjoyed solving this puzzle as it reminded me of when I completed my Level 4 National Certificate in Travel. Haven't been able to use that information unfortunately. However, found the cache, took the tb that was in here to leave in the hotel at airport for others to pick up.
A CITO would be good in this location as it appears it is a dump site for the locals.

Found with kiwicampnut on the last day of our Mega trip north.
Solving the puzzle took a little bit, as one number just wouldn't reveal itself, but go there in the end.
GPS all over the place in the trees, and kiwicampnut made the find.
GZ has become a dumping ground for the locals by the looks - currently a prime candidate for a CITO event.
Thanks

Out for a MEGA day of geocaching with Earthbound Chief & Co. We owe the finding of this cache to a FART. TFTC.
Found after a search of nearly every object in the vicinity as the neither of the GPS could decide where we should be. The Chief uncovered after he moved down wind of someone's unsettled stomach! TFTC Dropped off a TB.

Solved this fairly easily ages ago after working out where to get the numbers from. An easy find after spending the day nearby at the Gather unconference. Thanks!
I had to get a few caches with specific D/T ratings so that I can qualify for my Provisional Licence and this is one of them.
A great puzzle.
Cheers for the cache.
Proud to be a Dutchman living in Australia and caching in New Zealand. Now that's (multi) national pride!

This is one of a really neat series of puzzles and was on the to do list for Papa's visit to Auckland. Nice hide. Maraming Salamat!
In 1 TB.
Note. I'd like to endorse FMZs comments on the future of these puzzles. I'd be more than happy to adopt if a local could do the physical maintenance.

Got the green tick, first attempt, on this one, just haven't gone and found it yet - like the other National Pride puzzles, this is a neat puzzle and should be ekpt alive a bit longer, so I'll volunteer to keep it going if no one else does.
Having moved from NZ to Australia earlier this year we are no longer able to care for this cache. Sadly, though we are would love for it to remain, we wish to inform of the intent to remove and archive this cache on June 25 unless a cacher can be found that is willing to maintain the cache in our absence.
Many thanks, DazndKy.

Solved the puzzle a while ago and was in the area to make my first find of the day. The GPS was initially confused but soon experienced eyes spotted where the cache would be and there it was.
Received some kind assistance from the CO some time ago and completed the paperwork while in Auckland today - found just on dusk. in a spot I imagine kids would love playing in. TFTC
Second stop on my quest to score a National Pride hat trick. This little reserve is a bit randomly placed right in the middle of this neighbourhood. I’m sure it makes a good place for the kids to play in. Fortunately the cache was covered well enough to keep it hidden. I’m definitely glad I visited this one at night because the place was deserted. Another great puzzle and a good hide. TFTC!

Mrs SoBad had enjoyed solving the puzzle in Nelson so we decided to make this our first cache in a short trip to Auckland. Went from the airport via here to Herne Bay - as cachers do. Enjoyed the final placement and the hint!! Thanks

Finally got a chance to go to the final cache location and hunt it down.

Solved the puzzle from home a couple of days ago so headed out to GZ today while passing through AKL. Like the puzzle - mainly because I could solve it lol. Good hide too. TFTC, Biggles.
Solved the puzzle last night but couldn't make the find due to feeling too sick with the flu. Well, seeing that im off work today i may as well do something fun rather than being bored at home doing nothing. Initially, i was searching in the wrong spot about 5 metres away and then my GPS corrected itself and i was able to make the find. I really liked this whole puzzle idea and really enjoyed solving it! Its a favourite for me! Grabbed Two Factor TB and geocoin and dropped geocoin. TFTP&C DazndKy!
7432 A quick solve last night but had already grabbed our cache for the day... Many thanks DazndKy for a cool puzzle. Grabbed "Linke's - NZ Flag Earthquake GC"... appropriately themed with a mini NZ flag. TFTC
Got the publication about an hour after it came out and saw no logs were up yet so decided I had nothing better to do on a Wednesday night so I started on the puzzle. As mother was looking up the flags I was trying to sort the numbers. After 30min the numbers were found and the green words confirmed this. I was out the driveway with my adrenaline climbing, (could this be the first FTF puzzle for me) with that in mind the excitement grew. Arrived at the GZ and had to wait for the gps to settle, which it didn't. After searching for a few minutes Lostcourse arrived and the cache was in hand shortly after
