Unfortunately GZ has been completely landscaped and no longer able to hide a cache. This was one of my favourite caches and was happy that many others got to see this great piece of coastline.
Looked with 3 sets of eyes. Found nothing except lots of garbage bags, overgrown grassroots and kina shells.
Got distracted by unloadi g of some equipment from a landing craft. Not sure what it was. First cave easy but took a while on the second. GPS was good though and with the help of some water could find it. Final was easy.
Finished work early and after doing the Trad of the same name I did this multi - a good walk and a simple find at the final

Out on a lovely sunny day with a group of fellow geocachers. Really liked this cache. Had fun finding the clues. Thanks to budokan for the cache and urbangypsynz for arranging this.
After enjoying the best little corner of the world the ones in the group who had not previously found this one moved on to this one, the Sun was relentless as we walked from Army Bay, quickly found what was needed at WP1 but not so quick at WP2, must have been a sight a group of adults walking around in circles intently looking at rocks finding the required information we moved on to the calculations and began our search, nothing. Thinking we may have suffered sun stroke we recalculated and checked with a previous finder, yep should have been there. We decided to replace the cache and message the CO, he can delate our logs if not ok. Great idea for a multi, loved the seacave. FP
After walking the long walk to get to the awesome views at "The Best Little Corner of the World" cache, a group of us decided we needed to also complete "My Little Corner of the World". And so another procession of cachers started another long walk along the beach and round the rocks (then repeat) until after much effort, we had some co-ords (WP2 proved challenging). The final also proved challenging but the log was eventually signed and it was into the water to cool down. Thanks for the two adventures budokan.
We made the trip to Whangaparoa to join a group of cachers and to walk to several corners of this great coast. It was a wonderfully fine day and after the first walk we were all getting quite hot but this walk didn't take quite as long as the first.
The kids enjoyed exploring the caves and helped with figuring out the answers at the waypoints (the second one gave us a little grief as we had spotted the correct word but we couldn't confirm it was right as the date did not appear to us in the bright sunlight initially).
Unfortunately back at the final even with 5 sets of eyes and a search of much of the surrounding area for about 15 minutes the cache could not be found. We called a previous finder to confirm we were in the correct place and they confirmed that it must have been missing. There was quite a pile of kina shells that have been eaten nearby so we decided that it may have been discovered and removed so have replaced and message sent to CO who will check later.
I will add a FP to this cache later when we have one to give - unfortunately a problem for us with so many puzzle finds!
Thanks for organising Lynette and thanks for placing this cache is such an interesting place.

After finding my main target "Zombie Apocalypse" and returning from GZ without any harm I decided to enjoy more of the weather to find some more smileys. Enjoyed the walk along the beach to find all answers. TFTC
After doing two events in Orewa today inc a CITO, me and FMZ and supernanny came here to do this potentially long winded multi. I have put this multi off until today. But now I have company, it's nice do it together. We parked up at the beach and it was very warm. Low tide today made for an excellent approach to the 2 WP's. We did both WP's from Army Bay with no hiccups. A previous finder mentioned that we might have to approach WP2 from a west to east direction, but that was false info. That would have meant crossing a small chasm with heaps of water - even at low tide - to get to the WP. So now, with a little bit of searching I found WP2 and we took the info with us. A little way along back, FMZ thought to check where GZ was, just in case we had already passed it, we hadn't and soon we were at GZ of the cache. I won't tell you what happened when we there for fear of spoiling the cache location! But it was rather hilarious! Cheers budokan for the multi, it was great fun! A FP from me.
Nice walk along the beach with supernanny and gorby visiting the waypoints and gathering the info. And a quick find af the final. TFTC
Thanks budokan!
Really enjoyed this one today!
Was up this way for Cito Event; and was pleased to be invited to join Gorby and FMZ to find a few caches on the Whangaparoa Peninsula afterwards !
This tide was still ok when we started out.
Had a couple of hiccups finding the 2 words at the waypoints...
But with very precise hints and instructions we soon had a likely lot of coordinates!
Luckily Chris did the math instantly as I was running out of hands to write on!
Coords spot on for final!
Cheers
PS I loved the caves; and the amazing patterns and geological points of interest on the cliffs....

I was supposed to meet up with classmates to work on a group assignment, however we ended up meeting the day before, so I was now free to join Merlot58 and Jag50 who were heading up to Whangaparoa. The timing of the tides was not optimal, as low tide was an hour before we arrived, but we figured we'd have time. We headed off for the Zombie Apocalypse in the opposite direction and still had time to complete this cache too before the tide really came in. We made quick work of finding the information and calculating the final, rushing off before the tide came in too far. Made a quick find at the final.
In the area today with Jag50 and Aiden29. We arrived back from visiting the Return of the Zombie Apocolypse and figured we had just enough time to do this multi before the tide was too far in. we had no problems finding the required information and with the tide fast encroaching we did our calculations and headed to the final where a quick find was made. Thanks for bringing us to your little corner of the world.
We had just got back from the Return of the Zombie Apocolypse and knew we had just enough time to do this multi before the tide would not easily permit us to get it. We moved quickly gathering the data needed and even with the soft sand of the beach we had no problems finding the information and doing the calc's required. Once we knew the final spot it was a fast walk to it and in the process, we truned and watched the tide close off behind us our retreat. Well not quite. We had about 30 minutes to spare. And in the event we had not made it we would have got our feet wet but were not at risk of being trapped.
I really enjoyed doing this multi. The tide is way out today and I'm on a mission. First WP was easily found, and the driftwood was well up out of the way following recent king tides. Second WP also quickly found. Ran the numbers and obvious spot identified. Nice hide and cheers for the cache, FP added
I came to Auckland for work this week. Finished the work yesterday, and by design don't fly home until Sunday so I could have a bit of fun time too. I asked a caching friend for suggestions of where I could go close to Auckland. My "requirements" were: Nice place to walk with great scenery, and of course caches to find. He suggested Shakespear Park, and specifically linked this cache. So I booked myself into a B&B nearby for Friday and Saturday night, and make this my main destination for Saturday.
I checked out the tide times; low tide was 9:31. I had hoped to get here by then, but breakfast at the B&B was so enjoyable (chatting with other guests) and I arrived around 10. Still had time to get to the stages and back.
Stage 1 the cave was blocked by lots of wood, but I was able to climb over it and find the word. Stage 2 I was worried might take ages, but soon I saw that one too.
This is what I love about Geocaching, when a cacher shares a special place. I'm sure I never would have come here without this cache, and I'm glad I did.
Thanks!

Lovely stroll along the beach after doing caches nearby in shakespear regional park. Great little multi making use of the graffiti TFTC
22nd cache for the day while out and about with Gernita doing Shakespear. This was to be our last for today. We took a short cut via the stairs half way along the beach then quickly made it to cave one to get the details then cave two for the next info. Some quick math then back up the stairs to the car as the cache was "over there". Quick look and we soon were signing the log. TFTC
This needs to be found more often. A great seascape quite different to Russell. Thanks for bringing me here. Empty car park empty beach! Fav from me.
I have been working out on the water in Army Bay this week. I was checking the map yesterday for caches nearby, and saw this cache. Today, I was lucky enough to finish work before dark, and while the tide was going out. It looked like the start were aligning so I decided to come by to find this cache. I had a wonderful walk along the water's edge. I've been looking at this area from the sea for days, but it looks so much different from the land. Really awesome rock formations - this place is begging for an earthcache. I gathered my clues and turned around after the second sea cave, making my way slowly, enjoying exploring the area.
When I finally got to my calculated GZ, I couldn't find anything. I looked at the hint and then checked a number of possible locations, but still couldn't come up with the container. After bouncing around for a while, I sent a quick message to CO for confirmation on coordinates, and then went off to hike the Heritage Trail in Shakespear Park. As I finished that loop, I got a message that let me know that my latitude was off.
I went back and found the cache quickly in the dark, with no muggles around. I think I got the wrong four letter word form the inside of the cave - I realized now that the word I picked didn't start with a vowel. Must follow instructions! [B)] Glad to be able to find a Budokan cache while here in New Zealand. Thanks for the awesome multi-cache! Really enjoyed the walk - your little corner of the world is pretty fantastic!

This cache reminded me of another low-tide only multi in my old little corner of the world in Southern California - [El Matador](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC97AD_el-matador)
Up here delivering the Western Springs College team to the Lactic Turkey Sustainability Challenge, so had a couple of hours to kill while they rogained, and, with the tide being completely low, thought it was an ideal time to do this one. Waypoints were in the opposite direction to what I was expecting, so had a lovely walk along the beach where I'd never been before. Well chosen clues (though it took me awhile to locate the second), and found the final - though I had to loiter a bit as it is a difficult location to be discrete. Had to wait for numerous people and cars, and an occupied campervan, to depart before being able to search unobserved. A bit of hunting required as the cache was quite overgrown - it's been awhile since it had been found. All in good order though - thanks for the cache.
Lovely day for a walk down the beach. Our first muti.
We can confirm the TB is still there, but we left it as we are not planning going very far in the near future.

We have enjoyed this cache very much. We could take our doggies on to the beach for a nice walk. First WP, easy with the clear instructions and up to the 2nd WP. To find some fisherman just trying to catch some fish and some water diving also...just around GZ. Ahwell...as it is just an inscription and not a box where I was looking for I started my search. Soon I had a couple of more eyes following me and were wondering why I was staring at the ground all that time.....hahaha found it and showed them what I was looking for..They just shacked their head and invited me to have a swim....hmmm although the sun is burning hot, did pass on that one. Instead we took a look at the impressive cave.
With the coords in the GPS, we walked with doggies to the final.
We really have enjoyed the walk and a very good multi. We can recommend this one. We took the whistle and left an old TB behind for some encouragement for next cacher

Have always wanted to do this cache, but the tide hasn't ever suited. Today was the day to tackle it. Made WP1, got the info, trotted on to WP2, got the info. Calcd the coordinates and thought hmm, something's not quite right even though the coords looked okay. Checked the calcs, yep all good. Had I made an error at either WP? So then I thought, well maybe GZ is in that place, but not knowing the area, felt something was amiss with what I had for my calcs. Took a prod that confirmed what I had thought for where the final would be, so back to the WP info. Checked everything a 3rd time and found the error! Doh. I shall blame to bright sunlight and heat reflecting off the cliffs as the reason I was unable to see the incorrect GPS numbers on the screen clearly
Wandered to GZ to make a nice quick find. TFTMC enjoyed the walk. Gets a favourite.

I had decided to spend this afternoon caching in your little corner of the world. I thought the tides were with me but I didn't know that there was so much variation between here and Auckland. So, when set off from the car park I thought I wad dealing with an outgoing tide. In fact, I was dealing with an incoming tide that wad already at mid-tide! This certainly made for an adventure. I had only minor difficulty getting to the two caves, but could only find the relevant info at the first as the second was very full with water. At this point I realised that I had made an error and set off on a race back down the beach. Yeah, it was defiantly coming in as it was much trickier now, and I was getting pretty soaked. Still I arrived safe and sound back at my auto. With only one figure to work with I estimated the value of the second. My estimate was bang on as the GPSr zeroed out where I found the final. Some times it pays to be a lost course expert! Cheers for the adventure!
Loved it, great walk, neat hiding ideas. Loved the puzzle work. TFTC

Was out and about today and checked on this one. Surprised to find the original cache that was lost a year ago tucked next to the replacement container. Took the second one away and may use it to put out a cache on my adventures in the next fortnight.
Caching for my Duke of Edinburgh Silver exploration showing 16 newbies how its done!
Group was a bit apprehensive to do this one as it seemed like a big task - but they were so glad we convinced them, and some even mentioned it as the highlight of their day!
Very nice walk, lovely view despite the bad weather. Watch out for the slippery rocks between waypoints 1 & 2!

Great walk, Pippa, the dog, fully enjoyed it. Not to many muggles around so easy to find without suspicious looks. TFTC. Left Travel bug - Manhunt Down Under. Picked up a 'Yours to Keep' Pathtag.
Good little adventure, entered the wrong coordinates first and thought I screwed it up.
Loved this multi. Parked the car right at the start co ords without realizing but tide was fairly high and we had read the description and already decided we'd save the multi for later. Completed the Heritage Trail along with half of Auckland (at least it felt that way). On returning thought this multi would be a nice final cache for today. 2 great wps. Loads of oystercatchers. Wp2 had fishing muggles and fabulous deep clear water. By now the hikers are all sun bathing and we wondered how we could make the find but I'm sure we were only observed by a seagull. PINO TFTC
#183, Nice walk along the beach, children loved all the rock pools got absolutely soaked (good job I had spare clothes for them in the car). Had difficultly finding WP2 but found in the end. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
Was out this way on a visit to finally test out the swimming hole. Pleased to report it is as good as it looks on a summers day. All waypoints and cache in good order

Awesome multi, the tide was perfect this morning, and the rocks not slippery at all, jogged to the 2 WP's before going the GZ for the final, nice spots chosen for both multi's and the final too was in a well thought out spot.
TNLN TFTC!!

Really enjoyed this one we did, got us out to explore a bit more of our new environment, thanks guys.
Just arrived back in NZ after a flying visit to the Northern Hemisphere. The dogs enjoyed their stroll along the rocks. The swimming hole near the last waypoint is starting to look inviting. Played a few tunes along the way and happy to have the chance to play them when I head to Hanjac's little corner of the world soon.
After speaking to a few French Rugby supporters I dropped in a couple of TB's to start the next part of their journey. Hope they enjoy the visit.

I was out this way last weekend but the tides were not in my favour. Today I struck in right. I enjoyed the walk along the beach gathering the information required.
Cheers for the cache.

My first cache in NZ for some time, with a new GPS and to make it excellent the wander was done and celebrated with the cache owner on a day we had planned for some time.
I arrived at budokan's place nice and early to facilitate a full action packed day and this was the perfect way to start it.
found the first way point and then wandered to the second. A quick bit of maths done in the sand and it was to the final resting place of the cache. Always good to sign a budokan log especially one that celebrates a million miles of caching a mammoth feat, and one that not many other cachers in the world will be able to do.
This cache will be enjoyed by many I hope and I will be coming back again to have a dip in the swimming hole close to waypoint 2.
A great little corner of the world. Added to my favourites list as I have done a fair few caches but this has got to be one of the best, and yes I am a little biased but for all those that do it you wont be disappointed.
SL TFTC bro.

7414 Our little corner of the world was overrun with cachers today… bumped into Team Welsh on the way to WP1, and Sp8sm8 on our return journey from WP2. Always nice to catch with Team Welsh. Joined forces with sp8’s to find a couple more caches in and around Army Bay. An enjoyable winter’s day outing… managed to get the tides right, many thanks for a fun multi.
This was originally planned for yesterday, but the weather turned against us just as the tide was right. The whole team ventured out for this cache today and the bonus was meeting YuGeo4 as we returned from Wp2. Nice to catch up and it seems we just missed Nick as well. Thanks for the walk and a nice way to end the school holidays. TFTC
Found our planned access to the waypoints closed so round for the longer beach walk. Found YuGeo4 playing in the rockpools between wp1 and 2 so completed the cache with them. Glorious day for a walk like this.

Decided to go for a walk during our lunch break today as it was so beautifully sunny (and the tide was right too!). Using our knowledge of the local area (this is our little corner of the world too! ) we thought we'd take a shortcut, only to find the path has been closed off due to crumbling cliffs. Ah well, longer walk on the beach it is then!
Found WP1 and WP2 without problems, luckily the tide was out enough to avoid the lethal looking rocks near WP2! Then a leisurely stroll back to GZ (phew it was hot in the sun today, had to peel off one layer!), and we found we had parked right next to the cache . Took some rubbish away with us and left a "be a tidy kiwi" badge, which we thought was appropriate . TFTC!

We bundled the two little cachers in their warm clothes and set off with the tides nearly against us. A gorgoeous winters day, for a fun, family cache. Logged co-ords and headed for final .... but where is it? oh no ... looks like we made a mistake ... made "dad" go back to re-do while the kids and mum made sancastles. This time success, and a nice blank logbook! Yahoooo FTF
Thanks for bringing us to this stunning beach too!
