Again, a couple more needed for that calendar. These two will do. First up here. Good track until about 200m past the stream turnoff, then yes, a wee bit overgrown. That adds to the challenge I guess. I am already huffing and puffing and it's only going to get worse. Easy find once here though.
Went up the mountain on a rainy day.The track is on son parts really over grown and quite slippery. But I made it to the first stop at the grassy bit and found it quick.
Located on a trail run - thanks for placing. Its little technical getting up here - dont recommend doing it when conditions are damp.
Found with NZDi. We are spending our Christmas at Momorangi Bay with our extended family and this morning decided to go for a walk to find this cache. As others jave said begore us, the track is overgrown in places with nasty cutty grass. It was also very wet after ovetnight rain, so mot one of the most pleasant caching experiences we have had.
The cache was a QEF at GZ thanks to ricardinho.nz's recent replacement. We also decided not to go for tje Top Spot cache ad we have heard the track is really steep and can be nasty after a period of wet weather.

We are staying at Momorangi Bay for a canoe club weekend however its too windy today so we all did our own thing, some biked to Picton for coffee others walked a part of the Queen Charlotte I decided to go caching. Was pleased to be able to sit down for a rest after finding the cache. Thanks handward

A fun day out exploring a bit of Queen Charlotte Drive & Momorangi with Ricardinho. Of course there was a bit geocaching participated in
A good easish climb to the lookout. The track was a little overgrown in places, but the view made it worth it

Nice walk up here. This track is a little overgrown in spots, but pretty achievable. We got here, took some photos and had a bite to eat. Decided not to move to the next one up, partly because we used our spare container on this one. Found the log unwritable, so have replaced with a glass jar and RITR paper. Thanks for the views though.
Today RG1972 and I went for a drive down QC drive to find a few caches around Momorangi and then Picton on our return. A great day, spring is definitely just round the corner, we had a nice hill walk, some impromptu scrambling, took some cool photos (including more RG72 selfies with me geocaching) and had a good late lunch in Grovetown on the way back. Thanks all.

When I planned the trip through New Zealand, I realized that I would cross twelve of your sixteen regions. That is much, so I decided to try at least one geocache log in every single Kiwi region I pass.
In the morning we went from Wellington to Picton by the ferry. In Picton we received our rental car. At the North Island we were not that independent because we made all our trips by bus or train. Now we could stop whenever we liked.
Since we would make it up to Nelson this day, we would pass Malborough only in this afternoon. For a little break for the first time driving a car on the left side I watched out for a nice little walk.
So I found this cache. Actually, we had an appointment in Nelson, soon. So we had not that much time. At the map this walk seemed to be not that hard, but I was wrong.
The path became small and then really narrow. The plants sometimes make it hard to see the path anymore. Fortunately, my partner made my taking a water bottle with me.
But I made it to the top. But I did not find a fine geocache. After some extensive searching all I found was a little piece of paper, washed out by the rain, but containing three different logs. So, after the hard walk, I decided to take it as found and put my name under it.
I am not quite sure, if the owner is still at the game, but a complete maintainance is absolutely necessary!
Nevertheless, thanks for leading to this beautiful view!

On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day three driving from Momorangi bay to Greymouth. Thank you for the cache
Found on a nice evening walk up the hill. Didn't go earlier because it was too hot. Staying in nearby camp
Followed the good instructions and zig zagged our way up here to the lookout. Stunning views in each direction today. I was hoping for a nice seat so I could sit to re-read the details for getting to the next one. But no - pity it would be a good place for one. TFTC # 10,728
I really enjoyed the walk through the bush from the camping ground. Great views from here. Spotted a likely looking hiding place and sure enough, there was the cache. Thanks !
Found with Annacons, who has found previously. What an amazing view and a lovely bush walk. We considered pushing on to the next one but with three young kids in tow, didn't fancy our chances of ever making it home. So we enjoyed the view instead and headed to the beach. Tftc.
Des isch Easy xi drum bin i do xi. Bin auf Tour mit meiner Liebesmuggelin zum 60ger in NZ um nebenbei diese tollen Dosen zu erhaschen. Geocaching isch so Gsund do wirsch nümma rund! TFTC ! Danke fürs legen und pflegen dieser genialen Dosen..uff is realy strong!
Managed a weekend away camping and although a very hot day, we thought we'd attempt this one! after about 8 'are we nearly there yet's' from Miss 5, we made it and were totally rewarded with the stunning views and quick find of the cache. I had wanted to push on to the next one but knew I would be pushing my luck this time. oh well, off to the beach for a swim! tftc
Wow what a great spot. The cache gave us the motivation for an early morning stroll up the hill before our boat to Wellington, such a great view and lovely stretch of bush
I'm catching up with my online logs. I found this one in the company of Mermaid Man - thanks very much for the cache.
We enjoyed a great family walk up the track this evening and loved the views at the top. The cache was an easy find and was all in good order.
Thanks very much for the cache, worth a favourite point for sure.

During our nearly two month holiday in New Zealand we spend time on both the northern and southern island. Both islands happened to be very beautiful, each in its own way. Together with Ninagustein we searched for many caches, as we think it is a great way of discovering the country. Numerous caches get you to places you otherwise wouldn't have visited and it is also fun to find caches at touristic places. On this day we went from our campsite in Picton towards Nelson. At the campsite of Momorangi we did this cache. It was a nice walk up the mountain and in the end we were rewarded with a great view of the Marlborough Sounds.

This year me and RobLigtenberg were lucky enough to spend almost 2 months in New-Zealand on a great holiday. We explored both islands and just like everyone else we loved it. Apart from all the major attractions (roturua, tongariro, abel tasman, the glaciers, the fjords and so much more) we also tried to do some caches in order to discover even more of the country. After exploring the North island, today was our first full day on the South island. We took the opportunity to explore the Malborough Sounds on this first day and we weren’t disappointed: what a beautiful place! The walk to this cache was well worth the effort: what a nice view . Thanks to the hint, the cache itself was quickly found.

Made a impressing walk through a 'dschungel' and reached the lookout. It is really awesome!
The log book unfortunately not - it is moldy and needs to be changed!

Love that geocaching is so educational. A log for the cache at the glow worms mentioned encountering baby goats. There was plenty of scat on the track which was in good shape. Not at all muddy. We would've been thinking small deer and marvelling that the scat stank so bad. QEF in a beautiful spot. PINO TFTC
Its an awesome day - too good to be at home, so I'm off with Nigel Navigator, to explore my own back yard at Momorangi Bay. There are very few people about and no one on the tracks today. Gave up on Experience Momorangi and will retry it on the return journey. Right - its time to get up the hill. Easy find once I had crawled up here, over, under and around the many tree obstacles on the track. Then onwards and upwards. Cheers
Had great intentions of doing another walk in Havelock - but drainage workers stopped that idea. Then I remembered this spot on the map that I hadn't been to yet.
Parked near the beach and chucked on a backpack with some water. Didn't bother with warm clothes - 25 degrees out there today - hoping not too cook myself too much.
This section of the track was great - not too steep and really dry under foot.
Cache was a QEF - stopped for a wee drink and look at the views before heading up the next hill.

[green] I am sitting on 5995 caches. Today is a one day, and I am trying to get my calendar up to three. And it's a weekend, so here is my excuse to get beyond my normal cycling radius. Okay, the Blenheim - Picton - Havelock - Blenheim loop is a cyclable distance, but once I factored in geocaching and some long bush walks... I got the car out.
Stopped at Picton for supplies at 7:00 and on the track to the first cache at 7:30.
And this is the third for the day, making good progress at clearing out those green spots on the Queen Charlotte Drive. Came up here, laughed at the sign that says the track ends here, when it obviously doesn't, and found the cache. Then went back down for the Experience Momorangi cache, and then discovered Momorangi top spot just off the edge of the GPS screen. So came up here again.
As the track is not on the maps, I breadcrumbed it and added it in. The map looked quite interesting with my four trails up and down this path!
Lots of pest traps about, good on you DoC. One had caught a very dead and quite smelly possum, and I say a goat just 5m away.

It was a nice walk to the top. And the view was stunning. Thanks for showing us this nice walk.
After a long trip to the lookout we found the cache. On the way back to the camp site the darkness was coming and we seem a lot of glowe worms.

Sunday morning caching and an attempt to clear my 6 remaining caches on the left of the road between Picton and Havelock. This would entail getting the Momorangi three, a couple on the Bridle Track and the random remaining cache Enticer. No dog with me as not sure of access and allowability for my furry caching friend and just as well as there wasn't a great deal of drinkable water especially up the Momorangi walk at the end.
Heading up to here from the docpicton cache further back down the track and a brisk 10 minutes walk to get to G Z. Great views from the clearing and took a couple of pics to upload too. Met a German couple on their way back down, jandals and all. they'd shied out of going up to the top after seeing the steep ascent. I told them the time/distance but they weren't keen, or prepared.
Q E F of the cache at G Z, recovered with sticks and replaced as found
T F T C handward, found at 1100 and heading up to the tops next. Phew, a hot day here today. Glad I brought water.

Found with Biggiles NZ before leaving Momorangi DOC Campsite. Great views . TFTC
I decided to take some time out today and head out on the road in our convertible cachemobile to find a few caches. I've been wanting to get out and do these Momorangi caches for ages and today was the day. I was accompanied to this cache by Mr 3 Fantails. No problems finding the cache at GZ as it was quite exposed. We replaced it and covered it a bit better. From here I was on my as I went onwards and upwards. TFTC, Biggles.
Nice day for a picnic and some exercise before the rain arrived. Enjoyed the walk very much. Momorangi is looking a picture with the new facilities. Workers on site are now building a new ablution block to replace the large old one in the top campground. Sure the summer campers will really appreciate it all.

I really enjoyed this walk through the ferny forest and on up to the lookout. Trails are very well maintained here in NZ. I left a couple of Canadian flag pins for someone to wear.

Bit of a bush bash up to the 'proper' track, then a nice walk to the top. Stunning views. TFTC
Walked up here today to find this one added bonus of absolutely stunning views down the sound.
A lovely walk On My first evening on South Island. Marred a little by the feral animals at large - one dead possum and 8-12 live goats. Ironically the lead item on the six pm news playing as I arrived was about the failure of DOCS to keep their numbers under control.
Still a truly lovely spot on a spring evening. Cache was pretty apparent so I have replaced on the original coords (or as close as my gps will allow!)

Was on the way up to 'Top Spot' when I saw the cache container out in the open under the 'End od Track' sign. I was last up here in early 2012 and no longer had the coords in my GPS so tucked it under the base of a small nearby tree. Didn't think to take a reading , duh! so hope it is close to it's published location.
Nice bit of a Bush walk was pleased to find a nice view at the top too thank for the excuse to come up here
Beautiful view from here. Had a chat with the friendly weka and quickly found the cache. Then kept going...should have read how high we were going to climb to reach the next cache.....
We are staying in the camping ground below and this was on the to-do-list all week but the water was more enticing. Gathered everyone up on our last day here to tackle both of the caches up here.
Some raced ahead of the group while others lagged behind but a find was made non the less and the views were enjoyable of the camping ground from a different perspective.
Next, the decision to carry on or not? Some decided they had had enough so just a smaller group of 5 from 12 carried on to conquer the mountain. Took TB. Thanks for the cache

Mr W took a Muggle friend for a jaunt up the hill - he found his first cache. TFTC! Dropped off Jeep travel bug.
Another track we had no idea was here. Hadn't long replaced cache when a muggle arrived. TFTC.
We're suckers for a good view so off we went. The track is a bit scruffy but we soon reached enough elevation to escape the outboard fumes wafting from the water's edge. A nice workout and views to die for. TFTC
Got there and back unscathed and un muddied though it wasn't from lack of trying
Thanks for the adventure

Great place to walk to, thanks for showing us the track. I bet most of the people in the campground below have never even been up here!
A great cache in a superb spot. Walked up while camping at Momorangi. Quite surprising to come to the grassy knoll after walking through bush. Great view down Queen Charlotte Sound. TFTC.

We had a bit of time up our sleeve so decided that I would run up to this cache while we gave the dogs a bit of a run around and a watering.
Awesome views up the top, did not take too long to get up here, shame we did not have enough time set aside to get the ones further up the track, one day hopefully!

fortunate coincidence find! the cache was really obvious in front of a bush! I placed it a bit more hidden. Hint: take a look for the stony shelter
Excellent location. Views are stunning and even better makes us get some exercise while on road trip.
Love these types of caches, did not know this track existed so thanks for bringing me here. Not a soul in camp today, couldn`t even find the care-taker. TFTC.
Was heading off for a paddle when a local geocaching deity rang and mentioned this. Enjoyed the walk. Beaut cache, and my gps was at zero at the cache. Place a tad quiet at the moment ! Nice one.
