We had hoped to walk in the hills but discovered that they are closed due to fire risk so the Taylor valley was a good alternative, walking to the dam and back , finding cache on route. Quick find here in the obvious place
Together with the Grandkids and their mother, we set out to enjoy a walk beside the river, and to bag a few caches. This was the first. Thanks to bumandworker.
A quick easy find of this longstanding cache. We had planned to do more caches alongside the river, but as the rain set in again, we decided to leave these for another day. TFTC
Now off for a walk along Taylor River. Quick find here. Cheers
A chance to help Signal get further through his Hedge Maze while Im in town.

Grabbed this one on the way passed on a beautiful sunny day. Lots of muggles out so took my time. TFTH
We discovered this trail yesterday and we were keen to bike it today. We'd hardly sat on our bikes and then the first cache was ready to be found. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
Quick find today. Also dropped of a fresh log paper in an additional zip lock bag. Original log still in place. Unfortunately I don't have any waterproof paper handy. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. I got the old bike off the car and took it for some excercise down and up the trail.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. We of course had to get there first, and today we cruised around Blenheim and then off to catch the ferry tomorrow., The weather was fine and sunny, until we hit Picton, and now it is raining. We're still having a lovely time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

The log was quite damp very hard to sign but managed to put our mark.tftc bumandworker
less muggles up this end of the track but still nearly got caught. all restored to resting place. nice sunny day for a ride.
Nice easy cache to find after a DNF. Kaikoura bound after a few days in the Sounds. Tftc
Been in the South Island visiting the grown up kids who are on Uni holidays. Travelling home but mechanical problems means an extended stay in Blenheim. Well more time cache and today we hired bikes to cycle to some of the wineries. Would highly recommend it although July may not be the best time in terms of temperature. Started by heading out to the Taylor River Reserve. Quick find. Thanks
#7820. My final day in Blenheim for this trip. Came over on the weekend to spend a few days doing the TMGT caches and then attended a work meeting, Heading back home today but had time to grab a few quick caches before I fly out. This was one of them. The reserve is full of bird life with all the finches enjoying the grass seeds. Wandered over to GZ and made a nice quick find. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks bumandworker for the cache.
Family holiday time...loaded up with bicycles to find some fun tracks. A couple nights Kaikoura, a couple in Blenheim & then finally a couple nights in Richmond.
After a couple nights in Kaikoura it's now time for a couple nights in Blenheim. After a nice night in Springs Creek we bought the bikes out to our turn around point from yesterday afternoons wee town river cycle and parked up in the gravel car park beside the olive grove and headed out on the bikes to see if we could make it as far as the reservoir....successfully accomplished and now heading back down the other side of the river.
Quick stop here....cheers.

After paint bombing yesterday I got home and found that I had passed this one so came up again, with a replacement container for Paint Bomb. Easy find here, no clue needed. Always muggle central here too.
Staying close by and began the day with a walk with a couple of bemused muggle friends and dog. A quick find here while several dogs met up and owners chatted TFTC bumandworker
Handily beside my favourite place of the day - 5 trips with the trailer to the dump today so after one visit came down here and grabbed this one. Cheers
Arrived in Blenheim off the morning ferry and decided to ignore the rain clouds and cycle up to the Taylor River retention dam and back before dinner. We only got a little wet on a really interesting trail' TFTC
We came over for the weekend to round up some mythical Hidden Creatures. With a successful trip down the Awatere Valley yesterday we had well and truly achieved our Hidden Creatures goal and made it passed the Dragon already. Today was a residential/town day which can take longer to navigate but we only needed 20 more to reach the World Turtle and we finished the day with almost double that. A nice quick easy find here. It been found alot aswell. Just as we got back to the car another car arrived and out jumped 2 poodles ready for their walk. You dont see that everyday. [B)] Thanks for your effort in placing this cache for everyone elses enjoyment.
We had planned to walk/bike along the track closer to the centre of town, but quickly discovered that Miss 3Prettys' bike had shrunk considerably while we were overseas this summer. So, we headed to the recycling centre to see if we could find a quick replacement (sadly, no, but we did donate hers), which put us next to this section of track. We walked to the vehicle bridge and back, then wandered over to find this cache. For the second time today, it was Mr 3Prettys who made the find.
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Nice quick easy find. A Christmas tree decoration made it very easy and the tiny human thought the cache was a present. TFTC
A quick find while out walking on a sunny morning. Collected travel bug KBKTZ2. here but not noted in cache. ? TFTC.
We are keen geocachers from Tauranga staying with friends and gathering a few smileys as we go. Out on our bikes today, exploring this great area. This one was indeed a nice quick findas it was out on the ground. Cache all good. Carefully replaced. TFTC
Quick find this morning with eltee291. Pretty quiet around here today. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache!
Quickly found today with hingis20. Bit of a grey day but we were not to be deterred. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
QEF. One muggle in a car, so used bike as a shield. They moved off quick anyway. TFTC
Although the forecast wasn't that great we decided to head Marlborough way again today to grab a few more caches. We haven't cached in this area for some time so concentrated on this side of town today although intermittant and sometimes heavier showers meant we didn't wander too far from the car.
We had wandered along here from What'l Work not at that point realising we could have driven to close by. Never mind, we enjoyed the walk.
Thank you bumandworker.

Not the fastest or easiest approach which should have been a consideration. A nice walk though and the weather gods decided to be on our sides. Thank you bumandworker
Out and about with Kiwimykl attempting to clear as many of the local caches that I can. KM has most of these already which gives me an advantage but I didn't need his help for a QEF tonight.

Yay a geo weekend away with my buddy Nosynel where we join forces and cache as NosyBear. Followed the trail along the river on a very lovely sunny day. Thanks for the caches Blenheim
Finally a fine weekend. Off on a campervan trip with my caching pal Bbear.
Off to the supermarket. Time for some Park and Grabs. We had our lunch at Withers Hills. 2 dnfs equals two grumpy geocachers. We headed back to the campervan. Another dnf.
This one was our second find after lunch. The second along this walkway. This one was spot on. Our grumps were beginning to disappear.

A blustery nor wester blowing dust up off the riverbed today. Snow capped hills around the valley are keeping the temperature down. Nice day out of the wind. I had some recycling to drop off nearby so this seemed a nice handy cache. Waited for some mountain bikes to clear out and it was a quick find. TFTC
Mrs Kiwimykl had plans other than geocaching this weekend which involved lots of manual labour in the gardens and around the section. Fortunately, knowing this was going to involve several trips to the dump. recycling centre and green waste depot, I had a strategy to keep my streak going.
This cache was probably within a 100m centroid of all three places mentioned above, all I needed to do was wait for a gap in the traffic. Fortunately mid-Friday afternoon turned out to be an ideal time to make a run on this cache and it was soon in-hand, log signed and replaced as found.
There's another B&W cache nearby for tomorrow. In fact it doesn't matter where you are in the Top of the South, there is always going to be a B&W cache nearby.

#9389. We'd enjoyed our trip up and down the river, and we were nearing the end. TFTC.
We had seen very few people on our walk so far, but now we were seeing a few more, especially cyclist around here. A couple biked past us as we were nearing GZ but were well past us when we made the (easy) find. There was a car parked close by, so maybe this could be a drive by? Anyway, we had a very pleasant walk to the cache. TFTC.
TFTC. Out for a wee wander on a lovely Easter Monday morning.
Thanks bumandworker for placing the cache.

Thought it had cooled off a bit so decided to take the geo-mutt for a walk down the river bed. Turned out it was still far too warm. Glad we took some H2O for him! QEF at the start of our walk.
Found with crman1 and FluffyUnicorn02. TFTC

Took my dog for a walk to find this cache. Didn't realise how close to the start of the track the cache was, so carried on walking afterward. Quick and easy find. Found with coastalmartinis and crman1. TFTC
Hadn't realised it was still so hot when we set out, but it was still a lovely walk. Will be nice to see some water back in here in a few months. QEF with FluffyUnicorn02 and coastalmartinis. TFTC
Neato. Starting to think we have had enough so for today. For this year! Cheers for all the caches guys. Ben an Jenny (juju_nz)
Quick find on a sunny afternoon with no muggles in sight. Caching with Gazedn. Thanks for the cache.
[green] Spent the day in the Wither Hills on a bike I borrowed from the base as there is no way my road bike would have coped with these trails. Man it was hot. I ran out of water and aborted the trip - there is drinkable water along the route, but the ones at the top had run dry. Anyway, at long last I am off the hills and cruising these wonderful river flats. Thanks for the tiny bit of shade!
