Found with GodfreyH. Council needs to repair bridge, I'm pity sure Papakura City Council would have had it in a better state than that. Just over our "new" back fence....moved in March, and finally got it. TFTC. TNLN. Quick find using Cgeo on phone.
Found today as first cache on this trip to NZ.All well with the cacheLNTN Y4TCTB VisitGodfreyH
Definitely took the longer track down. But we’ll worth it and nice to get yet another smiley today. Also a bit of reprieve from the hot sun .
Found with toby84. Not sure if we took the extra hard path or not. But it was very sketchy if we would make it there or not. Coordinates were spot on. Easy find.
So... we ended up heading straight downhill from the top through the bush, which turned out to the dumbest path. Tip for others: take your time and find the pathway at the top! Once reached GZ the cache was super easy to find, then a much more easier path up and out of the bush. Found with Reny90
Great piece of beautiful bush.
Really enjoyed the walk. Thanks.

Very interest wee walk to get to this one
One of the neighbours took as long the track talk all the way down to the bridge
Cache is still nice and dry
But the Bridge is a bit unsafe looking
thanks

I attempted this cache a few weeks ago but got foiled with road closures but as I was back in the area today I took the long way round. What a beautiful bit of bush this is! I really enjoyed my walk to this cache despite the fact it was all uphill on the way back. Cache was found in good condition
In the area collecting the maze cache nearby so we thought we better get this one as well as it was close by. Nice walk in the bush here
Was with Sparkman 733 & Lumpy29058. We found with. No problems at all - the track is back open now. The problem was getting out again- we followed the path and got 3/4s of the way back and then lost the track. Backtracked & then found our way out. Great famliy bonding time. TFTC
Good tips, was funny watching my sister become one with the bush (she followed the gps) follow the hints not gps. Haha
After dinner, went for a walk to look for this one. It turned out the path was very much a zig-zag through lots of overgrown paths. At times we were wondering whether or not the path was correct. Eventually we came to a place that looked promising. The cache was where it should be and signing it was quite easy. On the way back we discovered a much shorter path to get out. Who knew? Thanks!
An amazing spot. Overgrown, so take care when ducking and weaving on the narrow muddy paths. Remember your path in. Multiple paths out can lead you a stray. Cache is slightly damp. Plenty space on the log left. GZ location is accurate. No digging required. Tftc
Having been to solve the nearby Slide-A-Square and having the dogs in the car after a tracking morning in Te Hihi and the cache description mention taking dogs for a walk why shouldn't we stop to see if we could find this cache? Thought we had taken the easy path for a while and then decided that was not the case. Found the cache in good conditions and then made our way up what was the easy path only to have GAR take us along an imagined path to the back gardens of a couple of house. Retraced, he tried another path and ended up in another back garden. Retraced a second time and followed the path we should have taken to end up back where we started - where on earth did we diverge the first time to take the more difficult path???? Confused but glad by this stage we found our way out. Then had to spend a long time getting rimu out of the dogs' hair . Thanks for bringin us to this piece of bush JohnnoNZ!
A little intimidated by the sign and its ambivalent message "Path closed, please proceed", I plucked up my courage and went down the track. It wasn't muddy at all, but first thing I got into my face, was a spider web... Argh. Due to the hint the cache was an easy find. Astonishing how loud the traffic can be heard from this little jungle... Nice hide. TFTC
Had a great adventure finding this one today!
Was on my wish list for a long time ; but not keen to go here on my own in a big unknown Scenic Reserve .
Lucky for me Ric 1942 had a free day today too ; so we made a plan to do some caching in this area .
Had waited till weather good so track would be safe ...the day was lovely and sunny too!
We had quite an interesting walk all around and about....zig zagging and up and down .... in this peaceful reserve ....
Luckily it is very open bush.....and we managed to follow the track to the cache with the helpful hint .
After the signing we soon found the easy track back thank goodness !!!!!!!!
Great to explore a Scenic Reserve I had not been to before ! Thanks JohnnoNZ

We certainly missed the easy track, however, with a bit of care we managed to find our way along the trail. My first time in this reserve and very impressed with the area. A short search at GZ and we were back out the easy way. A favourite from us. Tftc
Find number 3785. I was in the area so decided to have a look at this one. I parked up at the top and headed for the park. At the start of the track was a big closed sign. And being a good geocacher I ignored it. Admitted it did say proceed with caution. The track was easily followed as it weaved it way through the bush. Some supplejack had crossed the track and was abundant around it. At GZ the cache was quickly located and signed. I then made my way back up thinking. "What an amazing little park. So overgrown but accessible. It was like being 2-3 hrs from the road somewhere up the Coromandel ranges. But in fact I was within the largest city in the country. Thank you for bringing me here.
What a Cache!
It feels like if you are in the Dschungel, lians and string overall around you and a crazy way toward that. I love Caches like that one, that is pure Geocaching!
The coordinates jumped a lot and without the hint I think I would not had find this one.
Nice!

Very happy to have found this cache. First time it's been found in a while. The track is overgrown but we managed to find GZ. Log is damp but readable. Favourite point from us for the bit of adventure.
Got the reminder for this day being a DOT day for us, so a cache find was in order....and the dog needed a walk, so 'to kill two birds with one stone' so to speak the plan was hatched to take the dog exploring in the bush to locate this cache, which by the looks doesn't get too many visitors....
Yes the track has been closed, but there is plenty of room to navigate past the sign from the top entry point to the rerserve.... Using this entry point started you in on the trail which was easy to follow... things did get a little over grown but still quite easy to locate the path, and within a few minutes walk arrived at the clue/hint location.... yes the co-ords are out a little due to the canopy cover but the hint is a sure give in.....
This fitted nicely into this years type of cache finds I'm looking for .... a little bush scenery....
TFTC.

While staying at a friends house on Redhill Rd I decide to check this out and see if I could find the cache after the two previous 'Didn't find it' log entries. We went to the coordinates and used the clue. We searched high and low but could not find any trace of the cache. The track was also very hard to follow and a bit treacherous in places as it has significantly degraded since it has now been closed for some time. I'm sure this would have been a great cache a year or so ago but the track has certainly seen better days and I am fairly confident the cache is no longer there.
Tftc. Out with Pricefamily6 today on a trek to the hunua's. Hunted high & low for this one. Had 2 phones & a GPS all were bouncing & the supplejack was not helping either. Went down the hard way came up the easy way somewhat dejected.
I looked in about 5 gz according to my gps.
Couldn't get a fix on it so had to give up on this one. Vines make the going really bad.

like others before me i ignored the sign saying danger path closed. with all the rain as of late it was very slippery underfoot, with steep hills to slide down if you were so unfortunate. found the clue and cache easily and made the slippery ascent out. I live in papakura and never been here before, so thanks for bringing me here
Cache intact, signed temporary envelope log.
TFTC
Getting to this cache was insane.. We took the longer path accidentally and experienced a fall. We probably shouldn't have ignored the "DANGER: path is closed" sign. Finally we made it to the GZ (that had been hinted at) and the find was quick. Getting back to the car took less time but it was still a work out! This one's getting a favourite point from us for being so damn satisfying after the slippery walk!
Walked down and back a nice track past orienteering marker. Easy find. Added an envelope as a temporary log. Cache owner will still need to replace that sometime before that is too wet also. Thanks
Been a long time since anyone has found this cache (almost a year!)
Cache was totally water logged even tho was clipped shut.
Couldn't write on paper and didn't have any more paper on me so have taken pic of the log book as proof of find.
CO - you may want to give this old cache a little bit of care

A quick find thanks to the helpful hint. What a fantastic reserve, explored all the tracks and thoroughly enjoyed the visit, TFTC
Wow, did not find track head so just plunged in after it. After finding a bit of track and following it I realised I had gone wrong again after the second 2m waterfall drop. Turned around and eventually found the cache then lost the trail again and ended up escaping the briar patch through someone's back yard. Not one to do in failing light but a good little adventure all the same.
Cool little spot, never been here before, like emm-jay said would be awesome if the tracks were a bit more maintained. tftc!
helping martz_10 get the hudy caches. Success. Wish this path was maintained, it would be awsome.
Out and about this afternoon after work for a spot of caching. I was familiar with the start of this trail so after ignoring the barrier I was soon making my way towards GZ. I was in full wet weather gear, but it seems the worst of it has passed. Still, very wet underfoot so I took it carefully. Soon came upon GZ and soon had the hide in hand. Took the TB. Cheers for the cache placement!
Nice easy find whilst up in Auckland to go tree climbing with Kiwis69 and HKCB. TFTC
Out with K69 and JDM99 tree caching in Auckland. As the gear was getting set up for the nearby tree cache I wandered down to this cache. Great piece of bush. TFTC.
Mr P and I made our way along the overgrown and muddy track to GZ. Found wihout trouble and left TB. t4tc
Today I wanted hiking and searching some Caches. This one was the first and fast to find.

I didn't let the sign slow me down as I pushed past it, presuming that this was difficult way down. I stopped a few times to make sure I was still on the right path, or any path for that matter. I found the cache without any problem. I followed another path on the way back. I was easier, but I ended up in someone's backyard. XNSL. TFTC.
happy about this nice easy find after a previous no find in the same area. Had to hurriedly sign our names before legs became completely swamped by mozzies!! Would advise not to go looking for this cache after 6pm!!! TFTC!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We were out and about for a Sunday drive today, and a spot of caching out East. We went down the track behind the warning sign, till we got to GZ where the cache was quickly found, then returned to the car the same way. Don't know if this was the easy or hard track, but it was dry and the track seemed pretty good. TFTC!

Was a great little adventure. Was a little slippery which added to the fun. Went down the hard track first (only one we could see... yes the hard track is the easiest to spot...lol) and then saw the easy track on the way back. Nice little jungle to find and explore! TFTC!
Having not read the cache description very well I found a path down (not sure if it was the easy or difficult one!) and then bounced between the path, some bush, the path again, and then some bush that was very much like a jungle! Eventually I reached GZ and easily found the cache. On returning I followed the path making things much more easier!
Thanks!
Thanks!
As a kid this was one of my favourite places to explore, the tracks are still there (mostly) and so is the steep banks, and lovely stream at the bottom, well turns out i still enjoy the place, TFTC.
This was a fun cache, starting off with a big danger warning sign (see photo) indicating that the footpath was closed but it also said you could proceed with caution. Obviously a cache was there to be found, so the cautious route was taken. The path or paths are now rather overgrown and it is often hard to work out if you're still on a path. So I think I took a combination of hard and easy routes to get to the cache. I soon found this with the hint as otherwise an 18m uncertainty in position would have made it a fun search. Much easier going back to the car, probably by using the easier route.
Heading back from an early morning walk at the Falls & thought I'd grab a few Drury caches while in the area. Snuck around the closed track sign & then off for a lovely walk. Nice hide, TFTC
Ignored the danger sign at the start of the path... decided to go down the difficult path (which wasnt that difficult). Great little walk in the reserve
Found this cache right where the hint said. Also went down to the stream, very nice, clear water.
Just slipped around the "Do not enter" sign anyways, clue is spot on, nice walk, bit steep in places. TFTC
Nice walk to GZ, actually set out to find the Tree Cache in this bush area, but after failing to locate it we proceeded in to this one, Yes the co-ords were out for me, but that is to be expected for the amount of tree cover, but the clue helped out alot.

Quite a fun cache find, with a nice walk. Didn't sign the log as it was damp and wouldn't allow the pen to work! Great spot. Met an old flat mate who had been blackberry picking-may revisit!
Confused! Certainly was. I took one in and the other out. The in track was the easier to spot.
In: TB.
Cheers for the cache.

Slippery as! Took the harder route in and the easier route out of course. Great urban adventure - enjoyed it. T4TC
A decent walk, makes a nice change from the driveby's I've been doing.... I've been getting lazy.
GPS signal in the trees was quite variable, but found it with the clue.
Took the easy way in and out.
Thanks for getting me off my fat behind

On a bit of a geocaching holiday and touring around the area. Soon had the cache located. A nice bush walk. SL TFTC
Wouw what a great bushhide is this one. Really good hide as a first cache. Our coords where a bit out, still the foodbridge was easy to find. Dogs loved this one. Left TB for the next challenged stairs
Found the path after wandering around the edges, and headed down into the bush. After a quick stroll, found the required bridge and evilno9 made the find. Signed the log and back up the hill the quick way. TFTC!
Out with mel_ramsay with a trip to the Hunuas planned and stopped in here as a gentle warm up before the main event. Found the easy to find path on the way down and made a quick find before figuring out the harder to find path for the walk back up. Great little spot and a nice hide. TFTC
Had a spare few mins after some errands in Papakura this afternoon. With little time the difficult path was indeed easy to find and quickly led to GZ. Having left the GPS at home the hint was the only thing to go off and fortunately made a quick find. Then with time pressing the difficult path was retaken back to the road. Beautiful little reserve. TFTC.
Im not sure which path I took, but a nice easy walk and quick find. Im glad the hint was specific and NOT cryptic as the cords had me about 20m away. Thanks.
No idea which track was taken, just kept following anything that looked like a path with steps. Found cache okay and made way back to street level quicker than going down via some other route. Took TB. TFTC.
Quite a neat bush track that I'll have to explore further one day, when it's less muddy. T4TC - M@
7444 Managed to find the easy way in and out... but in our haste we dated our find for the 9th instead of 7th. An enjoyable mud free walk through some great native bush, thanks for the cache.
Didn't read the description and walked straight past GZ. Quick find once I realised my mistake.
Laying in bed about to get up for work when this new notification came through. Out the door within 5 mins and on my way. Arrived at GZ and it was still dark, damn forgot the torch! No one around at this time of the morning as i disappeared into the bush. Looks like i took the hard path as it was very slippery and muddy with plenty of stairs. Skated my way to GZ with the only light coming from my phone. Found the cache no probs as coords were bang on for me. Opened cache to a blank log - FTF #6 for us!! Dropped TB for moving along. Never been to this secluded bush reserve before. Thanks for your first hide JohnnoNZ - it was worth being a little late for work!!

7.07a.m email wow I can get that FTF. Zoomed off on my way up the Motorway. Parked and no other cars in site so I must be first. Took the long way down and short way back up. Alas the log was signed before me at 7.15 a.m. Checked my watch yep its 8.05 a.m so was never going to beat Mike-miss.
Coords were bang on for me as well and yes another 2nd to find for us..........better than a DNF.
Thanks for the cache.SL LNTN
