Mum and Wendy are on the way south for the Mega in Dunedin and stopped for this wee off "road" series.A nice easy series to building the numbers up. The log on this was abit floury. Mum added a new staple and bag to keep it ticking along. Thanks for the smiley
One I didn't log properly and still showing as green. Knew as soon as I found it that it wasn't out out recently with the big swag of others. It is quite weighty. Thanks for placing it.
On a roadie with Kiscardi getting some caches on the way. Thanks for taking me to this place.
Day 2 - Labour weekend extended road trip with Kiwicampnut - relocated to stay south of the ditch.
Noted this one on the way to the PWGT so stopped to collect. Just 2m, yes, that would cause some concern!
Thanks for the cache erninz

Another nice quick find. Jude_E and I are on another road trip. We stayed in Dunedin and Oamaru. Last night we stayed in Waimate .Thanks for hiding this cache erninz I appreciate it.
Built a few of these compound in my early days..the only thing that seems to have changed is the technology...the structures are the same ..thanks erninz
Parked at the main entrance and walked to the cache, found it very quickly, tftc erninz
Stopped here this morning after finding the geotour cache on the coast. A quick find - signed log, TFTC!
Found on way to Geraldine for a few nights. Enjoying the caches. Took longer than it should have to find
Driving home a bit less directly, and doing a bit of caching. More crackling today. TFTC.
Nice easy find on a great day out and enjoyed finding the monument further up the road. TFTH
Heading home from picking up a car in Wellington. Off the ferry and heading home but had to get a few caches on the way. This was nice and easy to find TFTC
Out and about finding caches in the area. Always interesting to get off State highway 1! TFTC
Found with StreetWalker on our Queens birthday weekend trip down south.
Despite the cache being a decent size, it wasn't an instant find - maybe the humming put us off? TFTC.

#15663. Things were really humming today. Found after a short search. TFTC.
After travelling down to Waimate I was in need of a cache or two. Noted that this was another one I had missed on my last visit down this way. TFTC.
Driving down to the event in Oamaru with Injeanious, we drove slowly and took some of the back roads to pick up some caches on our way. We signed the log as JeJe to save time and space. TFTC!
Heading to Timaru for the weekend so a few caches to be found along the way. Quick detour off SH1 and had to search a bit for this one in the obvious places as gps a bit jumpy. TFTC
On my way to help get the Maize Maze ready to open. Come & join us over the next 5 weekends for either the fun family maze during the day or the Horror Maze at night!!!!

Heading to Dunedin for the marathon tomorrow so spent the whole day travelling there collecting some caches alone the way. TFTC
The second weekend of planned caching trips for Chelzea and I. This one started caching near Temuka and then on down to Timaru, Oamaru over Danseys Pass and then back to ChCh from Palmerston the next day. Long and winding trip in places but managed a good number of caches with only a few DNF's. Too many to remember in detail so sorry for the cut and paste logs but thanks to all the owners it was a great two days of searching new places for a good variety of caches.
On a mission around South Canterbury/North Otago. 114 found caches today. Thanks to all the CO's for their effort. Sorry about the cut and paste. TFTC.
I was down this way from CHCH to conduct a wedding. I had a bit of extra time budgeted into my travel today, so I decided to leave the beaten track and to grab a cache or two along the way. Our little fella would've loved this cache - he is mad about installations like this! If he ever spots these he calls out and is very excited about what happens here, not bad for a four year old!
Regretted making this quick find a few minutes after I drove off, that long grass had me itching and sneezing, but after dropping a couple of antihistamines all was right with the world once again.

Here I am, still locating caches in the Waimate District and having a ball.
Cheers for the cache.

The plan was hatched a few years ago now and it has been a standing weekend away with a few of us mad keen cachers. This trip was made up of Karma Reprint, Team_Gaters and me (TheWanglers). We couldn't use a previous anagram to sign the logs as one member was in Aussie. So we had to come up with another... Hmm, KiTT? We decided on KiTT but after signing the first few logs something KR mentioned took a while for me to sink in and I didn't really take on board until the next time I signed the log. "Hey, the double 'TT' looks like Pi!". Oh, that's what KR said! So we signed the log this trip as KaTT pronounced 'Kapai'! And the trip was kapai!!! We had an epic weekend starting with a detour to Peel Forrest for a few FTFs, stopped in Omaru, thrashed Dunedin and detoured to Port Charmers for a FTF and then back to Pleasant Point and Peel Forrest to finish off the weekend with more FTFs. We got home to our families at a respectable hour after clocking up just over 1100km!
We had a few milestones we really wanted to crack. My 4000th, TG's 5000th and KR's 10,000th. We cracked my and KR's goal and got really close for TG. It really is about the numbers. This trip was awesome as it has given me some ideas
Dang. It really hums.
Thanks for the cache.

Show weekend and a Road Trip to Dunedin with 'The Boys'....Karma Reprint & TheWanglers. Initially came up with the acronym KiTT but on seeing the TT looked like a Pi symbol we quickly changed to Ka(Pi) (ie. Kapai)....and a fantastic weekend it was. 3 days, 1100km, a heap of caches and great fun.
Spotted as we pulled up....humming alright....

Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #274 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and seventy fourth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip. Signed logs as HOAC to save room
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
Interesting area, thanks for bringing us here and placing caches for us to find

Humming along coming from over there and going 20km distant, saw this one pop up on the known route.. not wanting to have to find the one we had already loaded again..we thought we would get cheeky and see if we could use the cursor distance to find the cache..(brave because that meant no clues or description) while the gps kept working hard to find that one over there....it worked a treat, with a little help from "now where would i put a cache in this area.." Gps must have been getting right royal annoyed with us bit it didnt make a sound ....
Took a detour down this side road trying to push my tally to 50 aches for the day. This one helped.
The name of the cache made sense once we got closer to GZ. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
We found ourselves sharing the corner with a hundred or so calves who all thought we were going to feed them. Quickly found and left smartly. Thanks.

My birthday day, but also needed to be driving down to Dunedin to attend a Crossfit Competition day after.
So spent half my b day at work, and the other half driving - but it totally wasn't as bad as everyone thought that sounded!
It meant that I got to spend ages caching on the road on the way down to dunners, and I also got to announce the venue of the next NZ mega in the morning.
Number three. Wow... this place was loud!
But funnily enough, there were actually further up the road HUGE swarms of flies!! They were doing some humming too.
Consec caching day # 474

Once the local 'humming' worker had moved on, we quickly found this cache. Thanks for the excuse of a tiki-tour of these local roads erninz.
With the extensive irrigation in this district, there is a need for some of these.
