I had a quick look on the way west and a slightly longer look on the way back but still nothing. I’ll try another day and spend a bit more time. It has been a year or so since last find so who knows.
Had 5 sets of eyes, and none of us could get this one. Two phones were giving quite different readings and there are so many logs!! Will have another go next time we are back, and might walk the whole track, it looks awesome! Tftc
I was staying in Picton for a couple of days before heading over Nelson/Motueka way later next week. As it was turning out a nice day I decided to take a drive along Queen Charlotte Drive to do a round trip back to Picton via Spring Creek. What a fantastic drive this is.
This one had me going for a while and was going to log a DNF. But I came back after doing another along the track to get an annoying something out of my boot. I used the seat to make it a bit easier to get my boot off. After tying the boot back up I decided to give an area I hadn't searched earlier a go and there it was. The GPS showed the GZ to be 11m out but it was there in front of the seat by about 3m.
Cheers for the cache.

My friends and I have stayed in a bach near here a few times now, and I just can't leave these caches around the hills unfound any longer. So I went for a loop walk, ended up being about 8km in all, such a nice way to spend a dreary afternoon, with excellent views of Grove Arm for most of the way. The tell tale stack of bark/sticks made it a quick grab. Almost done! TFTC (3739)
As we had a whole day in Picton we explored the town and its surroundings.
Visited a lot of cool places with marvellous views [^]

Our target today was four caches on this track before heading off to Momorangi for the rest of the day. Thanks for the cache Stay on my tail. All good here.
Caching with Kiwi Grandad today. We parked down at Ngakuta Bay and rode back up the road before taking the bridle track back to the car. A really nice MTB ride on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
Thanks stayonmytail for the cache.

On my way home after a very smooth ferry trip with time to make a few finds.
I've driven past this one many times and never quite figured out how to access the track. Then a new cache was published nearby that gives parking coordinates and all was revealed.
The track is in good condition and interesting views.

This track is great after the hard work of team re opening it. Lots of nice views along the way. TFTC
Found in the company of Kiwimykl. After spending yesterday on the Grampians in Nelson we decided to try something a little closer to home and did another one of the options Kiwimykl selected for me to choose from for this weekend. He had already done this section of the Link track a month (and one day) ago without me but missed one on purpose just so he had an excuse to go back with me. As we didn't have an hour and a half drive to get to the caching area today we had a more leisurely start to the day and gave it a chance to warm up I bit before we started.
This was the first cache of the day and was unfinished business for me as I was scared off by the wasps around GZ last time I looked here. I have an allergy to wasp stings and we gave this a pass.
The wasps were nowhere to be found today, at least on this cache anyway which made for a QEF.

We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
One of the benefits of being a member of our country's military forces is the opportunity to take time out to partake in the activities organized by many of the sport and recreational clubs that abound at our military bases. While these benefits aren't as generous for the civilian members as they are for the uniformed branch, the opportunity to take part in these activities (if we make up the time off) is something not available to the average worker in 'civvy street'.
So when the RNZAF Base Woodbourne Adventure Sports Club decided to head out to the Link Track between Picton and Havelock this afternoon, I along with fellow geocachers, runners, walkers and mountain bikers leapt at the chance to take part. There were 11 of us in total doing the 5.5km section between Wedge Point and Ngakuta Bay, some one way (the geocachers and walkers), and others in both directions (the runners and MTBers).
I had six caches along the track targeted this afternoon and this was the first. NZDi and I had attempted this on a previous visit, but had to abandon our attempt due to the large number of wasps in the area at the time. As NZDi suffers from an allergic reaction if stung by wasps, we decided to bypass this for another time. Today there was no sign of the wasps andit was a QEF at GZ.

A great afternoon off work with a bunch of people doing various activities out here on this fantastic track that is evolving in our region. The weather was testing us but held off for the afternoon.
This was the first for Kiwimykl and I and was quite visible to me as I arrived at GZ. Tucked back a little more discuised.

I first started out on this track at the end of June last year but for once I retreated due to the signs saying it was closed and the various bits of machinery indicating the workers were on site. I really enjoyed my walk today - they have done a great job with this old bridle track and the views are stunning. Checked all of the many hint items, some of them several times before finally finding the cache. TFTC #8082
After a short walk in the bright sunshine it was an easy find. Thank you for showing us this walk! And thanks for the cache!
A steep climb for a fantastic view, we looked on the wrong side first, but then it was found. Thanks for placing
We put the car along the road and took a short hike to this cache. Nice and beautiful walk. Sorry for the late log. I didn't had internetaces sooner. Tftc!
Day#2 of our trip to Picton via Port Underwood Road and time to head home to Richmond, via another scenic route, of course. Another stunning sunny day and lots of interesting places visited so many thanks to all the COS for their cache placements.
We used a WP for parking and access that was provided for another cache on the Bridle Track. There was a Keep Out sign at the start because the track was still under construction. We dithered about whether to proceed but as it was a Sunday, we thought that there would be no construction going on and it would be safe. It was indeed and judging by the bike tracks we saw, it looks like others have used the track of late. Didn't take long to get to GZ and find the cache. This is going to be a great walking track when it is finished, thanks for showing us. TFTC.

#10018. We thought it would be OK going to the closest of the caches on the track (but didn't carry on to the next one). It's certainly an ambitious project. TFTC.
Found with capperz on a caching day (refer to capperz log for more detail) T F T C
With the eldest daughter here for a weekend visit, and many of the local caches now found and logged, it's going to be a long winter with slim (cache) pickings. Talk of a trip to Picton via Havelock to enjoy the scenery of Queen Charlotte Sound had me scouring the map for the few caches that have been placed out this way since I last passed through this way just under 2 years ago. We packed into the car without the dog and head a pleasant walk around Cullen Point before setting off along the winding road through wonderful scenery.
After driving past the trail head and watching the G P S dropping down to double figures I carried on up to the nearest parking and walked back down. The recently upgraded track isn't open yet but deserted enough on a Sunday to go on up safely to make the find. Took a little while and after looking right was all ready to give up. One last look before returning down had the container found and grabbed. Replaced as found
T F T C stayonmytail, great views from up here. nightowl19 enjoyed it too

This cache and the one further along were on my plans for today but there was a sign a little way along the track stating it is undergoing construction and to keep out. As there were several vehicles parked on the road from the same company I decided to do as the sign said. It looks like quite a bit of an upgrade too.
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Grabbed this one while heading North.

[green] Got invited to a road trip with Taybee and TaybeeNZ, and Taybee cleverly worked out a route neither of us had been - 40 caches worth! Picton, Queen Chalotte and Pelorus. Long day.
This is a classic example of a cache that should have a trail head waypoint (That's a hint, CO), however we did actually find the trail head quite easily. A nice little walk, although TaybeeNZ was a bit upset about all the gorse. Back in the car we shared the sunscreen, using it as moisturiser to help soothe those gorse scratches!

It took some perseverance and using the hints to find the 'wedge' end of the track; then it was a nice walk. Kudos to those who are working on re-opening this old bridle path. TFTC
Missed these on my last trip as I couldn't find the entry point did some homework for this trip so no problems the track is a little over grown in parts but a interesting pice of track one you are on it
Nice walk, a bit slippery as was raining today, cache was in plain sight, must have slipped. Just like us on the way back down. LOL. TFTH
Compelling story and kudos to the locals for restoring the track. Not sure I'd want to be on a horse. Very narrow on bits and not sure how the horse would have gotten up from the road but that might be the boat lag talking. PINO TFTC
I have been eyeing the caches up here for quite a long time but never had enough time when in the area to go for them. I had a spare hour after getting off the ferry today so took advantage of it. Found the access point instantly thanks to good accurate coordinates for the waypoint. A quick although rather muddy and slippery walk up the hill and then along the bridle track. There were signs of recent track maintenance which is just as well as the gorse and cutty grass seem fairly aggressive around here. Found the cache very quickly - signed log and on to the next one. Thaks for an enjoyable cache in a very scenic spot.
Found it after a short, but very steep climbing on this track. Very nice surroundin. TFTC and greetings from Germany
First cache of nz holiday and what a find. Lovely view over that bay on this amazing day.
Luckily I had Mrs Biggles in the car to go and wait for me at the other end of this track. Using one of the marked entrance waypoints was useful too. It's certainly very easy to miss the track entrance from the car and it wasn't until I got out and had a look on foot that I could see it. Anyway, No problems with the cache as I found it in the first place I looked. TFTC, Biggles.
Well found the track and climbed up it, again I wore incorrect footwear lol, quick find tftc
Thank goodness we've not had any rain for a few days - otherwise we'd have been sliding backwards in some places. We're impressed with the initiative taken to open this old pathway in the Sounds. Neat cache - TNLN. TFTC.
Nice find on a holiday (geocaching) down in the south island. Good climb up to this one. SL TFTC
Went here from Old Pine Standing, and this was a much nicer walk. Beautiful view in some places. Easy find. TNL Sg coin. Greetings from Singapore and TFTC!
Getting tired. Made it back to the car when I realised I didn't do this one. Doh. Trapping next. Saw stoat near cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Could you believe I dropped my pen too! Took a photo though! Could the next person put my name on please! Loved the walk! T

Ever since the idea of coming to Nelson was researched I had wanted to run this track to get the caches along it, so today was the day, Mrs Geckoh drove on to the end coords and I jogged off upwards for the cache finds.
Nice track and set of caches!

The cache came up on the GPS and I spotted the entrance off the side of the road. A quick about turn to find a carpark then it was up the track. Definately recommend appropraite footware, you wouldn't want to be doing this one in jandles or barefeet. A good walk through the bush. Cache all good, log signed and tucked back away. TFTC
LAst cache on the bridle trail expedition. Took a bit longer than I thought and it was getting dark by the time I got out on the road. Then a quick 4k run back to car (mostly down hill TFTC
A quick find on a great wee track, didn't find either of the other two further along but enjoyed the walk. Picked a few bananna passionfruit on the way up.
Took a leaf out of jigsawnl's book, parked as close as possible, straight up the hill, signed log book, and straight back down.
A very interesting looking track, obviously well made in it's day.

Not a 1st, 2nd or 3rd log.Room is left for those. Signed log the day it was placed. Great spot and fun if damp trip along the track with C.O. Good to see old become new. Hope they carry on with it. Such good work being done. Thanks T
Yeah FTF. Parked the car as close as possible and climbed straight up trough the bush to track. Found the track spot on the coordinates and the cache was located in seconds. Then it was time to find the next one. TFTC.
The log has been signed by a fellow cacher who accompanied me on the track. He is not claiming the log as a FTF.
