Unfortunately we are now no longer allowed in this area and all the trail signs have been removed. (Basically any part south of the Bibbulmun track towards the Weir will incur a fine if found in the area.)
Will relocate this series to another spot soon.

Couldn't find it, spent a while looking too. Found where it looks like it should have been, but there has been a recent burnt and the rocks even look a bit burnt. Couldn't find any evidence of melted plastic though. Who knows it may still be there, my GPS took me to about ten different spots...
Found my way here from the previous cache on a lovely winter morning. Cache was found without issue (besides all the spider webs I seemed to be crashing through) and was in good condition. Took a clue card as there were plenty.
After eventually emerging back onto Allen Rd, it was a short walk to this cache. After a brief search, i was adding my name to the log before rehiding as found. There ware around 6 clue cards left in this cache (as there was with all except for #13, which only had (and still has)1).

Found while on a short one-week holiday to Perth and surrounds.
Needing a decent bushwalk I headed to Mundaring Weir looking for some trails.
Another shady spot which was quite welcome in this heat. Again I left the clue card for the final and made my own notes.
Thanks for the cache, Chwiliwr.

All going to plan so far, third in this series.
Added 1916 penny and 1947 half penny to cache, now onto the next.

Such a relief to be back near Allen Rd after some woeful attempts at navigating to these first three caches. Thanks for the cache Chwiliwr.
I went in a clockwise direction having been in the area the previous week. I still had a lot of uphill sections, lost the track and myself nearly, I tried hard but found my way.
What a great walk, nice views, kangaroos, claustrophobic pine plantations where only pine trees grew - sterile.
But yeah it was a good walk. About now Im starting to get worried, the sun is going down and I have 3 more caches to get. Get on with it then. Thank you Chwiliwr

Part 3 in our run another of the CPS circuits. The length and terrain certainly seem to be increasing. Some nice views over the dam and through the bush. We disturbed a few roos in the heat and did not really have any issues with the. hides although mobile reception is very bad in the back half of the circuit and leaves you stranded trying to get the images for the two mystery caches. The track markings are a bit hit in miss and seem not to have enough at key points particularly at intersections and when the track seems to bend away from GZ. We completed the signing duties and have a growing collection of cards.

I was within a metre or two of the cache when I heard voices. Turns out a couple of muggles (I'm guessing a father and son) had driven their ute in and set up camp about 20 metres away, where the Patens Brook Trail veers off Allen Road and bends right. Didn't have much choice but to move on to the next cache.
Did this series in reverse so this was our fourth. We will gather the clues and return another day for the mystery caches.
Found by the richlink / iluvtrekking boys team while the girls were off doing the easy stuff. TFTH.
Out with iluvtrekking for a days caching in the hills. The boys volunteered to do the hard slog and completed most of the Mundaring CPS caches while us girls cached in the town itself.
First find of the series on my way back from Helena Hut on an overnight hike.
Thanks for the simple find and I look forward to completing the series.

We went out today to track down the CPS series by Chwiliwr with Kimakazi. I attempted this series last year but when we arrived for some reason the coordinates werent on the Gps except CPS-17. It was a beautiful walk through the bush and a great way to do this series and a couple of others along the Bibbulmun Track. Thanks Chwiliwr the walk.
Three down, three to go, till we can look for the two mystery locations.

I stuck to the trail for this one and my geo-wife still complained ... I assured her it was only going to get easier from here on and luckily I was right. Quick find, but I left my finder's card on a rock near the cache and only noticed as I arrived at GZ for CPS-16 ... so jogged back here to grab the card while my geo-wife enjoyed some respite in the shade. [:(!] Went for an early morning of caching to get this cache, arrived at GZ and within a couple of minutes the cache was in hand. SL TFTC/TFTH
An enjoyable walk doing the series. GPS was having trouble getting a good signal but found the cache ok. TFTC.
Follow the track and finally spotted the blue tongue on the track... Signed the log. Thanks Chwiliwr.
It was a short walk from #14 to here, and I was starting to get into the swing of it now. I got a bit lucky with the find here, as there are certainly a lot of places to hide a cache!
I grabbed the TB. Just as I finished replacing the cache a car drove past on the road, very very slowly... I just stood back in the bush and waited some time for them to clear off, and then continued on my way.
Thanks Chwiliwr!

Got to a bitumenised section of the road and was just retrieving the cache when a car drove by... and just before that a chap on a push bike. These were the only 2 muggle sightings all day. Not sure where the car came from though. It was getting to the stage where a lift would have been very welcome! So... three down now, but must away as time is fleeing. Thanks again for the hunt Chwiliwr.
Out caching with Me&B and keego and Chil, there are rocks eveywhere and I think Me&B will soon run out of space on her camera. Nice easy find. TNLN TFTC.
Out on a caching run with GeoWife, Me&B and Trevkevred to do the Mundaring CPS series plus a couple. Another easy find SL TFTC

A sunny warm Saturday morning...and what better to do than do a series in the bush with like minded people

We parked in the carpark near the start of Paten's Track and completed the circuit in an anticlockwise direction as suggested.
The 'gumleaves' guided us around and we only strayed from the track for short distances to find the caches which were all found very quickly.
It was quite a long walk, especially as we had already completed the CPS series at The Spectacles and Karnup this morning and found the final as well. But it is a really beautiful area and now we could take our time.
We met a family here and they had a GPS but weren't caching - the young children helped us find the cache and then collate the information we had collected so far.
Thanks Chwiliwr for bringing us here and thanks for the hunts.

First cache for the day found at 9:50. Followed the main road from the car park to the cache, the walk in was pleasant despite the chilly air. Surprised a fox on the way down. The ground near the cache seemed to be very disturbed, it looked like animals but what kind I do not know. Thanks for the cache.
With the dissapointment of CPS- 14 behind it was good to be back on track. And after reading the previos entries I see FelixII and The Machman were nearly drowned at this spot. Four days later and its wall to wall blue sky.
After the confusion at CPS-14, the rest would surely be a breeze.
Nicely hidden.

Okay so after all the drama of the first 2 in this section of the series it can't be any more daft can it? Sure it can.[B)] We were almost back to our previous turn around point when the skies just opened up! OMG! It just chucked down buckets of Cats (Felix??) and Mach (Dogs??) There was nowhere to turn. We tried a half hearted attempt up against a tree but it was useless. So we just trudged on in the absolute driving rain. A quick find of this cache once we arrived. TFTC Chwiliwr
