Unfortunately we are now no longer allowed in this area and all the trail signs have been removed. (Basically any part south of the Bibbulmun track towards the Weir will incur a fine if found in the area.)
Will relocate this series to another spot soon.

Originally I was waiting for the vegetation to grow again but now there are conflicting reports that walkers are not supposed to be on the trail that these caches were placed near so until this is sorted I am not replacing the cache or enabling the listing.
There has been a recent burn off in the area (recent enough that it was still smoking when we were walking through). The container is completely melted and cracked and needs replacing. The stuff inside was ok though.
Found this cache, and while the container is a mess (thanks to the recent burn off) the inside was fine.
Found it. Great walk from car park to here. We have all the clues for the finals now
Thank you! After a brief search, I was a little worried I wasn't going to find the cache, meaning I couldn't complete the series. However, after looking again I a spot id already searched, I found it tucked in and hidden from the angle I was at.
Really enjoying the walk through this beautiful part of the world, and the caches are now getting closer together. This one didn't put up much of a fight, and I was soon adding my name to the log . All good with this cache ... onwards I go to the next one.

Found while on a short one-week holiday to Perth and surrounds.
Needing a decent bushwalk I headed to Mundaring Weir looking for some trails.
This one took slightly longer to find than the others, but all was in good order. I was enjoying the walk, with no-one around at this time of day. Perhaps because it was a couple of kilometres from the nearest carpark. I like it this way...
Thanks for the cache, Chwiliwr.

All going to plan, No.4 in series and a fast pickup. 1924 penny and 1961 halfpenny dropped this time.

As per usual, I was charging ahead while MDV maintained a pace that allowed me to sign logs while he caught up. I scared 2 roos who were sleeping only a metre or two from the trail and as they leapt up and bounded blindly getting their bearings, I similarly bounded back to my knife wielding companion. Turns out his knife wasn't needed for anything other than to open my box of muesli bars for afternoon tea, but better safe than sorry! Could've been roo stew for dinner!!! Thanks for the cache.
I went in a clockwise direction having been in the area the previous week. I still had a lot of uphill sections, lost the track and myself nearly, I tried hard but found my way.
What a great walk, nice views, kangaroos, claustrophobic pine plantations where only pine trees grew - sterile.
But yeah it was a good walk. Thank you Chwiliwr

Part 3 in our run another of the CPS circuits. The length and terrain certainly seem to be increasing. Some nice views over the dam and through the bush. We disturbed a few roos in the heat and did not really have any issues with the. hides although mobile reception is very bad in the back half of the circuit and leaves you stranded trying to get the images for the two mystery caches. The track markings are a bit hit in miss and seem not to have enough at key points particularly at intersections and when the track seems to bend away from GZ. We completed the signing duties and have a growing collection of cards.

Did this series in reverse so this was our third. We will gather the clues and return another day for the mystery caches.
Found by the richlink / iluvtrekking boys team while the girls were off doing the easy stuff. TFTH.
Out with iluvtrekking for a days caching in the hills. The boys volunteered to do the hard slog and completed most of the Mundaring CPS caches while us girls cached in the town itself.
Had a good dig around but couldn't find this one.
Will have to reattempt when I do the rest.

We went out today to track down the CPS series by Chwiliwr with Kimakazi. I attempted this series last year but when we arrived for some reason the coordinates werent on the Gps except CPS-17. It was a beautiful walk through the bush and a great way to do this series and a couple of others along the Bibbulmun Track. Thanks Chwiliwr the walk.
The hunt is getting exciting. nearly got all the clues. One half of Husband Kimakazi had to leave and go to work, so Wife Kimakazi soldiered on with Team Khaki. Amazing,,, trecking through the bush and still no ticks.

Arrived at GZ via the suggested route only to realise that I had left my finder's card behind at the previous cache, so left my geo-wife to enjoy some peace and quiet in the shade while I jogged back to CPS-15 to grab the card. Then came back and took a long time to find the cache here. Seems that my GPSr was playing up and I think this was the most difficult hide in the series. Eventually had it in hand. SL. Grabbed finder's card.

Found this one while out and about with Team Setter. Great area to get outdoors and enjoy the bush.

[:(!] Went for an early morning of caching to get this cache, arrived at GZ and after wondering around for several minutes waiting for the GPS to settle, finally the cache was in hand. SL TFTC/TFTH
Getting closer and quicker to find now, trying out new GPS which is working well cordinates spot on. TFTC
Caches closer together is making kiddies happier as they are starting to ask how far to the car. Grownups happy as can be with this series. Thanks.
There were quite a few cars parked near to GZ which probably shouldn't have been there but no one was around so made an easy find. TFTC.
Another follow the track and still enjoyed the bushland. Signed the log. Thanks Chwiliwr.
I'm really enjoying the walk trail, and was wishing I had my mountain bike as it would be a great track for it. A quick and easy find here, but it took me some time to fit all the contents back into the smaller box.
Half the puzzle coords found, 3 more to go Thanks Chwiliwr!

Out on a caching run with GeoWife, Me&B and Trevkevred to do the Mundaring CPS series plus a couple. After a little walk we found this one another easy find, TFTC SL
We parked in the carpark near the start of Paten's Track and completed the circuit in an anticlockwise direction as suggested.
The 'gumleaves' guided us around and we only strayed from the track for short distances to find the caches which were all found very quickly.
It was quite a long walk, especially as we had already completed the CPS series at The Spectacles and Karnup this morning and found the final as well. But it is a really beautiful area and now we could take our time.
Thanks Chwiliwr for bringing us here and thanks for the caches.

Third cache for the day in the Mundaring area, just starting to warm up now in the cool conditions. I detoured off the series to pick up Perfect tee . This cache took some hunting down it wasn't until I stood in the right spot did I see part of the well hidden container. Thanks for the cache and the hunt.
Even if I'm going up hill it all appears down hill from here and the caches are getting closer together.
The distance between Caches seems to be shortening, or is us walking faster in the pouring rain?
Socks drenched by now, a familiar squelching noise coming from Caching partner as she places one foot
in front of another !!!!

[:o)] Okay so from here on in all I wanted to do was get out of my wet socks. With the pouring rain from the last shower the water was just dripping down my trousers onto my socks and duly straight into my boots. Waterproof boots are just no use when the socks drain into the boots! However as much as I was not happy with my decision to go caching in the rain was really glad to think that this rain should be reaching our dams. Really nice area this for a walk not in 36degrees, so it was simply all good!!! Nice quick find, we must be getting used to them by now! TFTC Chwiliwr
