We had the great chance to travel around New Zealand during six weeks and were able to see wonderful cities, landscapes and meet nice Kiwis. While staying in NZ many cache owners gave us the opportunity to search for very well hidden treasures and we thank them very much for preparing and maintaining them.
Too well hidden for us, no find.

Nice hide to find while waiting for our car to be fixed on Orewa. Thanks for the cache
We found the cache after a bit of a search, though I couldn't spy any red line trimmer on the tree
Merlot58, Aiden29 and ourselves returned to the sunny Orewa to collect some new caches that had been published since the last time we had been up here. Took a bit of searching but we soon had the cache. Can't say that we saw in red line trimmer.
Located the cache after a short search, although we couldn't find any red line trimmer pointing the way
Crused by tonight while ons walk. GPS out by 5m but expanded search to get the find. TFTC
Another neat little park. Some people playing croquet nearby, but didn't see me. TFTC
Battled against the creatures of the night to find this one - tricky as it was getting dark, found eventually with the help of Sam and Maddie tftc
Out and about today for some cache detection. Great weather for it; cool breeze and plenty of sun. I was passing by this way and made sure to detour to this cache. After my DNF when the cache was MIA I am keen to earn the smiley on this one. Ladies were playing croquet next door as I walked to GZ. After one false step I soon had the cache in hand. Nice to finally complete the formalities, over a year since my last visit, on this hide. Cheers for the cache (re)placement!
Having a great day in-between cold showery weather. Managed to bag this one before the heavens opened up again, thanks azza-ro for the hide. Log nice and dry too.
Actually easier than we expected and in the end when we looked in the right place the cache was visible so we signed and covered it up with the camo that looks like it was supposed to be there to conceal the cache. Looks like the neighbours have replaced their fence so that made it much easier to grab and sign without getting muggled. TFTC.
Kiwiscot & Kiwi out exploring some parks in Orewa. Easier than expected find here. Followed the GPS and Kiwisot soon uncovered the hide. Did not notice the Red line trim. TFTC
Lovely walk to gz. Found the red trim wire then looked down. Good came nice and dry
Lots of trees to choose from, and couldn't see red line trimmer. However, perseverance prevailed, and was first to sign clean dry log.

Judging by recent posts it looks like a new fence may have disturbed the cache. We will check it out ASAP and replace if necessary
Pretty sure the red marker and cache are gone as trees cut back and fence has been built.
The fence has been rebuilt. I suspect the rebuild has taken the cache with it. I found the coloured item in the hint, but no hide. I suspect this one needs a CO check. Cheers, Lostcourse.
We are Geocaching overseas ATM and will check this once we return. Sounds like the new fence may have disturbed the cache, but knowing what we are looking for we may be able to find it scattered somewhere.
I felt really awkward looking for this one. Coords had me searching the boundary of residential land right next to the houses windows. I found the red marker eventually and then the cache but this was behind the third or fourth tree tried.
Only one muggled at 1830 hrs. He didn't spot what I was up to...
Find #1084. Thank you very much for the cache. 23/12/2014 18:35

Arrived this afternoon and will be staying in this beautiful town for the next few days. The opportunity to cache came when the rest of the family decided to have an afternoon siesta.
A string of DNFs near the beach had me rather dejected and I stopped by here with the hopes of lifting my spirits. When I arrived, my GPS pointed towards some bushes bordering the path. Noting the hint, I stuck my head into them and noticed a person's home & backyard. Feeling very uncomfortable with walking on private land, this search proved to be a difficult task. My GPS was out by around 6m but finally located the cache.
SL & replaced. TFTC.

Had decided that I was going to come and find this one while my daughter had her driving lesson in Orewa. Didn't know it was going to be so wet though. Never mind, dog had a good walk, I made a find and driving lesson went well. A win all round (and what good cacher lets rain get in the way?). And I get to make my first log under the name garball (previously krmNZ)! Did have a moment of anxiety when I turned around after finding the cache to see someone else walking their dog right towards me - no excuse as to what i was doing there but sort of nonchalantly walked across the grass until she left. Then hunkered down in the ditch in the shelter of the trees and fence to avoid the log getting wet! TFTC azza-ro.
Checked this one today after a DNF, and can confirm the cache is definitely there.
Found something black on the floor all wrapped in black tape, the only tree that goes red had nothing near
treaclepud77
The black taped container sounds like the cache - did you check it ? - trusting you didnt throw it ?

Took quite some time on this one. Just about to give up and go home but decided to re-check some obvious locations and eventually found it. TFTC
The good hint & knowing that said tree could well be red in season took me straight to the cache. Nice hide, thankyou.
been back twice . cant locate cache cache is not in gps location. please confirm if its still there.
[green] At long last, after two weeks of Auckland Mega and the GeoTours North and South, I can get my bike out and go for a ride. Over 30 caches by bike today! Nicely hidden just around the corner from the croquet players.
Found it. It was a little hard but the red marker got us there in the end. Kids having a blast
Found with Chosen1978 on Mega Trip. Attempted night before but couldn't find but got it this time in daylight.
Attempted last night without any luck in the dark, returned in day and quickly had in Hand, logged find with granville86a
Located at the second of my two options. Watched a spot of croquet while signing log. Extra hint wasn't much use to me

I was in the right park, in the right spot (i think) should have been within 20 metres of it, but my phone said that the nearest geocache was 300 metres away. (I found that on friday). Wierd...
I searched around a few small trees but no luck.
Please wright a note here if you know whats up with the iphone, i will watch this cache.

#21. Our Youngest Geocacher found this one without help, he is very proud. Thanks.
Oh dear!! Which one ??? Found after a few minutes..."Red" didn't mean anything though!! Good hide and all is OK..Needed today for FFED!! TFTC
Didn't have any luck here today although the GPS seemed to lead me right to a likely spot. Lots of grass clippings about which made the hunt trickier and I came across three little birds that had kicked the bucket. Not a nice find!
Felt like we were in the right place but maybe we weren't. Oh well. Have to come back again for another look.
Found this one after a search of a few small trees. Luckily the park was free of muggles. TFTC
No school children nor croquet players about so able to claim this one without much difficulty. TFTC
The showers had passed so I decided to get out for a spot of night caching - As such I didn't get much of a look at the park. This was probably one that I would prefer to do in daylight hours given the proximity to the neighbouring houses. A quick find and then away without attracting attention to myself. TFTC
Easy find on a stormy Saturday up from Auckland, during a return visit to NZ from the US.
I made it trickier than it had to be. Log was a little damp and seein as how I sacrificed my pencil in an earlier cache the log is signed with a dirt TCF. Tftc
Quick easy find. Nice to see so many people out playing croquet at the club next door. TFTC.
We found this one in the late afternoon. I had just retrieved it when we saw a young lady approaching, so we had to look as if we were just doing nothing. But we needn't have worried it was another fellow cacher. Hi Sonia 26642 it was jolly nice talking to you, and discussing the finer points of caching.
My mate needed to come out to Silverdale today, to collect her new car, and I on the other hand was coming up here anyways to go to snowplanet later in the evening. So, I just left early so she could come pick her car, and I thought to myself, YUS! Four hours of caching! Sweet!!
Parked here, and headed on over. Just as I turned the corner though into the park, the GPS was pointing about 40m... and I looked up, and there was a couple, with the guy jumping into the bushes! I laughed to myself, and though, well... if those are not cachers...
And as I approached further, they noticed me, and acted casual, but I noticed the cache, and started laughing! Haha, nice to meet you guys Team H&G!
So, I didn't really have to find this one, as it was already found for me, lol.
TFTC!!

Grabbing a few caches in the area while passing through on our 'how ever long it takes' NZ tour.
Thanks for setting this up.

In there area decided to grab a few, thanks for the adventure on this one. No issue with muggles today. TFTC!
GPS was spot on, needed a bit of contortionism from Mr Pastamaker to retrieve the cache though.
