Found while on my Christmas holidays in Pauanui with Tramyard. Beautiful place. Thanks for the cache
Not a quick find and took a while. PBB found it on the ground. Replaced as per description. TFTC
These types of hides can be tricky but we were fortunate that there were no muggles around and that we happened to look right at it almost immediately.
Cache is in good condition. Nicely placed.
We walked over to the beach afterwards and had a look at the surf. TFTC.

Another hiking day for D4nielB and me. We started on Broken Hills (Water Race Track and Collins Drive) and continued with a relaxing walk in Pauanui. Of course, we also took the chance to look for some caches on our way.
This one was a quick find without any problems.
Greetings from Hamburg, Germany.

Wir fanden nach einer wundervollen Strandwanderung dieses kleine Hängerle und sagen dem Owner Danke für das Vergnügen. LG von uns Berlinern.
Today Jul1ane and me started with a hike at Broken Hills, going to the Collins Drive via Water Race Track and back down the main track. Afterwards we did a short trip over to Pauanui.
An easy find.
An easy find.
Biking around pauanui. We aren’t caching much lately but we’re on fire today. NINO TFTC
It was hard to screw it back together at night, nobody to hold the light.. But finally managed to close it again. TFTC
It’s pretty deserted down here. Everyone’s eating Xmas dinner. Ours is chicken and cranberry rolls at the picnic table. Thanks for the cache. Merry Xmas!!
Bit of climbing involved when you're not very tall! Lots of fun thanks for the cache
Day 2 of our Whangamata holiday and on the quest for more caches and some fun winter beach time. Decided today we would head to Pauanui to tackle the cycle trail and a few others.
Took a few circles before I spotted this one. Must be icecream time!

Came here to see 2 clients today. Was hoping for a easy find before heading home. Very quite spot. No one else arround today. Thanx!
Having a bit of a drive-around Pauanui now picking up the odd cache.
I was looking in the wrong area for this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Easy find. Beautilful spot in the noon. Now that its winter not many muggles around either
Down here for the weekend and headed over this way whilst there was no rain. We walked the beach for a bit and then found a couple of caches and headed back to the bach at Tairua. Perfect time to come and hunt . . . . no one else was here. TFTC
Me and rustynz came down to Whangamata from Auckland for a very long day of caching, but mainly to try for a possible ftf on a new virtual cache that popped up a few days ago in Whangamata. If you want to read about that adventure look at GC7B898.....
Well I'm not too sure how C:geo navigated us here but we ended up on private property just 10m north of here or so, never mind I said to rusty, who cares if the owners spot us in their driveway - not going to be here long! We parked up, opened the rickety old gate, walked down some dodgy steps and wandered to GZ, I found the cache on this occasion hanging about, very obvious when you see it off course! So as per usual rusty signs us in. Cheers G for the cache. All good here today.

More adventure in Pauanui with gorby. We are finding a few caches in town, it was gorby who suggested coming here. So next stop was this cache. All quiet at GZ. For some reason I was convinced this was the school holiday start, so was expecting an influx of visitors - got it so "wrong" as it starts at the end of next week!
As to the cache cgeo navigated us to a nearby cul de sac, and when we realised the road ended abruptly, it was time for a short walk to GZ. So many builders around maybe a builder will take pity on the step we used to get to the next level
Gorby spotted the cache immediately, and the log was soon signed. An awesome afternoon, the sun is shining, and no wind. Thanks G-2 for the hide.

. What a beautiful spot this morning I am out and about early so hardly any muggles around. I was surprised to see this cache just hanging there obviously safe place for caches. TFTC
drove around the water to get here from Mount Paku.
Enjoyed thefantastic beach and had a brief jump into the water.

Staying in Pauanui for a week or so at my cousins’ bach. After a drive that seemed to go on for ages twisting and turning I wanted to stretch my legs after settling in. This was the last of 3 for today. Looked and looked for ages at all angles to no avail. Just as I was about to give up I found it on the ground with its line attached. Not sure where it should actually be attached but secured to a branch. Perhaps the CO could pop down and replace as original.
Fantastic sunset.
Thanks for placing and greetings from the .

Am now trying to clear out the caches in Pauanui.
First we found the wire hanger in the tree, then we found the cache on the ground. We did our best to rehang the cache in the tree with some fishing line. Its now on the carpark side, just overhead but could do with a more permanent fix.

Container must have gotten wet, log was soggy. Would have replaced but had nothing on us. Maybe next person could change the container.
TFTC first cache of the year! Very good... I have been here 12 times and not found it... Finally! TFTC
Rode past this one all week but never had a pen so returned today to do the deed. Almost in plain sight yet not overly noticeable. Tftc
A lazy stroll along the beach to this busier sector. After having found a piece of metal wire I nearly concluded that cache is gone, but no. A different viewing angle and I nearly hurt my eye with it
Staying in the area for the weekend and thought we would collect a few caches.a nice and easy find.love the sound of the waves crashing in the background.
Had a nice weekend away with my family and this cache was a part of it. Thanks!
Took a while to find as we thought it was hidden beside the surf life saving club building. Very small. This deserves a favourite point!
We used to own this one 5 years ago but it was gret that G-2 took it over. It has been moved since we owned it so i can claim it as a find. It is Still there. Very small. Took me a while but we had the area to ourselves so finally spotted it. Yes it is very very small so have a good look. Great spot to park and walk to the surf. We did that as well. Awesome place.
Very recent maintenance on the tree. Not a lot of branches to peer into. I suspect a working bee occurred on the weekend.
#265. Had to have another go at this one. Took a wee bit of peering into branches, and finally spotted it! Tftc g--2, & re-placing it mike-miss. I have had a great time here in Pauanui this week!
This was definitely easier at night. We were not sure whether the gates would really close at 7, so decided to play it safe and did not drive to GZ. Quick find with no muggles around. TFTC
Didnt realise this one was disabled until we got to GZ and spent a couple of minutes looking. As we had a suitable replacement in the car, we replaced this one on behalf of the CO not knowing when he would be at GZ next. Same hint, same location, same size, and by the sounds of it a similar container - all good here
The tree at GZ shows signs of recent pruning. If co-ords are accurate, I reckon it's a gone-burger! CO needs to re-check. Nice spot on a sunny afternoon regardless.
Didn't look for long, but probably is there, good luck finding! If you find it contact me because I was with a friend/neighbor who was very dissatisfied/disappointed.
Please contact me.

Am ersten Abend haben wir hier lange vergeblich gesucht, beim zweiten Besuch am Morgen war's dann nur ein kurzer Blick! Vielen Dank!
No muggles here this morning - poor things have all gone back to work. Very quiet all round so it was a quick find and sign. Not sure if it is in the right part of the tree - I thought it was a bit exposed but I put it back from whence it came. Thank you.
Took about three goes to find this one. Just can't see the wood for the trees!! Placed some new paper in the cache for a log to replace the full log. Hardly anyone around now - most people back at work. Thanks very much G--2
2.35pm - Just had to wait for some people to move on before grabbing this cache. SLTFTC
This weekend we are caching a few corners of the Coromandels that we have never visited before. We have seen Pauanui from the 'other side' many times, but somehow never made it here.
There were plenty of people Hanging about at the Surf this afternoon, and many of them seemed to be leaving the beach as we arrived. Despite that, we were able to discretely search and find this cache. Thanks.

Stopped here to eat fish n chips for lunch. Happened to park right next to cache. Quick find right where said it was. Tftc
Cute little cache. Found quickly GPS right on. Biggest challenge was getting the log out of cache!
Found this one pretty quick in the evening when all the muggles had gone home. Helped it was on my back door step. TFTC
Another cache I got a little worried about - sometimes you just don't know how hard it's gonna be? Or how easy as the case turns out. Cheers G-2 a nice little park and grab
Had a good look through the tree. Read the logs and so looked around the ground too but nothing there. Might have gone missing?
Found on a quiet day so no muggles to deal with... like others it was found on the ground... needs new log too... TFTC
Visiting Pauanui with family before heading down to Turangi for the Mega. We were very lucky with the weather, which was beautiful. The cache was found after a short search - luckily, there was no-one around as it was just before the long weekend. Timing is everything. TFTC.
Took a wee while to track this wee one down but luckily it was a quiet muggle free day at the beach today. A gorgeous spot. TFTC.
Spending the weekend in Pauanui at a friend's bach, and as the rain was holding off, we decided to go for a walk along the beach. We started quite close to Pauanui mountain, so it was quite a looooong walk down the beach, but it was lovely, and quite deserted, which made it very peaceful- just myself, hubby, the wind and the waves. Finally got to GZ, and although there were a few people around, it was a quick find without getting spotted by any passing muggles! What a beautiful place Pauanui is..... and nice to have the added bonus if caches, too!
