A nice afternoon for a ferry ride. On my way to CCC, on a slightish detour. Cycles worked well for me, so a quick little multi. TFTC.
TFTC and another of my ferry experiences where I do multiple trips across and the man running the ferry asks if it is my last crossing for the day and I say yes and he says are you sure and we both laugh. It started when I parked on the side where I got the best advantages. Then as a passenger crossed to get the info. Got talking to another passenger and we both got caught up in our conversation that we were heading back across and we both had wanted to get off. So after 5 crossing and finding the cache I was on my way . The last time I did multiple crossings was on the Webbs Creek ferry and my battery died in my car. It took 3 crossings back and forth before the ferry driver could find somebody to jump start me. I held up a lot of traffic on a busy Sunday afternoon. BTW I came 1st in year 7 in Spelling way back and received a prize. Thank goodness for that otherwise I might still be on the ferry.
On my way home from Lake Macquarie and picking up some caches along the way. A detour via Berowra ferry was certainly worth it!TFTC Wilbert67
Decided to do the walk from Cowan to Jerusalem Bay this afternoon, and the ferry was on the way. We spent most of the crossing counting, but had plausible numbers at the end. At GZ, the well stocked cache was soon revealed - Youngest Bruce took the Lego earrings for when her ears are pierced. Thanks Calypso62 for keeping the kids entertained
Great cache! Took a couple of trips to and fro because of a misspelled donning instruction! Beware the spelling mistake, it does matter!
Visiting family close by who planned a drive through this very scenic area today. Spotted this fun looking cache on the way, then noticed it was another Calypso62 cache - even better. Has to get added to the itinerary! Now how to work out which way to go and which side is GZ on! Turned out only one trip was needed. GZ duly calculated and a park found. Small search with semi muggle brother, who came up trumps. A great fun cache Calypso62 - you are using up my favourites! Great tribute to the area, I have enjoyed all the various ferry crossings today exploring the area. Thank you.
Well that took two trips to Berowra Waters as there was unscheduled maintenance due to a broken cable when I last visited. The ferry cables look very thick so how can that happen??
Anyway today was a rainy morning so I decided to come here regardless and by the time I got here it had turned into a beautiful spring day, just right for a ferry ride!
I parked on one side and caught the ferry across collecting the necessary information on the trip. It was so quiet and peaceful down here, I loved it. Not a sound to be heard until a Superb Lyrebird somewhere nearby in the bush began going through its repertoire of calls which was nice started up.
After a couple of other cache finds I sat in a shady spot to crunch the numbers. The solution surprised me! I wasn’t even sure my answer was correct so did the number crunching a second time just in case.
Satisfied with my calculations I began my hike to GZ.
Then the light dawned!
Once near GZ I found with all the tree cover the GPS kept changing its mind about where I should be so I started checking lots of spots, just in case, I didn’t want to have to return again, well maybe for a meal but not for this cache.
There’s rockwall and paving work going on here although there were no workers today. It looks almost finished.
Lucky I’m slim or I wouldn’t have been able to get to GZ but with no one around I went to where I decided GZ must be anyway.
Well with the work that’s been done here I’m really surprised the cache is still here. The workers must be geocachers as they must have come across it. Anyway I found it, signed the log and replaced carefully as found.
Favourite point for the great location, etc.
Lots of unloved days here for me!

And with that my geocaching challenge for 2022 is completed!!

The Berowra Waters Ferry website is still saying it is closed the second Tuesday of every month, between 12pm and 2.30pm (for scheduled maintenance).
Perhaps today's extended hours was a one off Jackscruff?
Perhaps today's extended hours was a one off Jackscruff?
Well ............. ferry is now closed from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
Grr, not happy Jan, petrol is so expensive to get there and be told I would have to wait 4.5 hours to cross.
Did consider swimming over.

Now that the NSW Government is beginning to ease lockdown restrictions, it’s time to bring my caches back into play.
Just a reminder, a fundamental rule of geocaching is that, in order to be able to log a cache find online, you must retrieve the cache container and sign the physical log located in that container. Failure to comply may result in your online log being removed.
I know the Covid virus is still about so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you from harm by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle geocaches as well as using hand sanitiser regularly.
Keep safe everyone and enjoy your geocaching activities.
Cheers,
Calypso62

Now that I will be able to travel about again, I'll be collecting the cache from Rama497 and will get it replaced ASAP.

Out today with the family to a new place for lunch and a little walk.
Although this cache is disabled I was able to collect the required info from the ferry, do the maths and get coordinates for GZ.
Quickly made the find.
I can now mark another C62 cache of my list.

The Covid situation in Greater Sydney is still critical. As a result, this cache remains disabled for the time being. I'm monitoring the situation and will bring the cache back online when appropriate to do so.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.

I had worked out the coords for this ages ago after a ferry trip, but we overshot & had to keep going in the car. Today I parked at the marina and was a pedestrian on the ferry. Nice quick find and a gorgeous day to be down there. TFTC.
A very pleasant day out in a beautiful spot. Following the ferry trip we solved the puzzle and found the cache quite easily. Picked up the TB to move on. Thanks for the cache C62.
Spent the morning collecting a few puzzles with old mate “Macca”, he ventured homeward after crossing the punt while I parked up and played passenger for a ride over.
Had a plausible GZ upon exiting the craft only to confirm correctly with CIH soon afterwards.
Thank you Calypso62 for this fun puzzle, fp

Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Cache check completed today. All is in order.
As per deusy's log, I noted on one Donning Instructions sign, that in Step 6, the word "collar" is incorrectly spelt with only one "l'. Other signs seem to have the spelling correct. Just use the correct spelling and the coordinates will work out.

The work has now been completed and the ferry is back in service. I've enabled this cache however I still need to take a run down to Berowra Waters to confirm that all is well on the ferry itself as well as the cache at GZ. I'll do that and report back when I have some spare time to make the trip down.
The work on the ferry approaches is due for completion on the 12th July. Once the ferry comes back into service, I'll do a maintenance run to check that all is well with the cache after which I will enable the listing.
The Berowra Waters Ferry is currently out of action and will be for the next 5 weeks. Workers are upgrading the approach ramps on both sides of the river. There are free water taxis to get across for pedestrian and cyclists.
As a result of this work, the information required to access my cache is temporarily unavailable.
As a result of this work, the information required to access my cache is temporarily unavailable.
The Berowra Waters Ferry will be out of action for a 6 week period commencing the 1st June. Work is expected to be completed by the 13th July. The closure is so work can proceed on upgrading the eastern and western approach ramps. While the ferry is unavailable, my cache cannot be found. As a result, I will be disabling the listing for the period of work.
As the NSW Government is now beginning the process of easing some of the Covid-19 restrictions, it is appropriate that my geocaches be brought back into play.
**Please Remember - It is still very important to exercise social distancing while you are out and about and to practise good hand hygiene after touching caches out in the geo-wild.

Thanks to deusy for the heads up on the spelling mistake in the donning instructions. I've adjusted the calculations for A so everything should be ok.
Was great to do this one on the ferry I've caught many times before. I'm informed the ferry has been updated recently to a new one (?) and it appears the line 6 of the puzzle now has a spelling mistake - but by spelling the word correctly the coordinates were bang on and we found the cache on returning to the area in the afternoon. A great hide, will contact the CO about the potential required change.
After kayaking up the creek to find the nearby cache, and gathering the earth cache information, Lee 737, Samuel 737 and I boarded the ferry to get the required information. With the correct coordinates, the cache was found. It was then back to our cars, and then back to the ferry for our fourth ferry ride of the morning. TFTC
#3333 (What a cool milestone!)
We were in Berowra Waters with Banj Ward to do some kayaking. After that cache, we headed on foot over to the ferry to find the info required for Windy Waters. Some counting and quick calculations later and GZ was worked out. No problem..... At GZ Samuel spotted the telltale camo and the nice sized cache was extracted. Thanks for a nice puzzle Calypso62....

Came down here to do the cache Berowra Berries for our D/T grid. Awesome cache out here never been on a vehicle ferry. FP from me

We are walking part of the GNW today from Berowra to Cowan with perfect Autumn weather. What a fun idea for a cache this is. We took a photo of the required info so we could just enjoy the ride across. We did the calcs whist having a seat in the park and a bite to eat before heading back to GZ where we found the nicely hidden cache. TFTC!
This morning was my chance to put as much of a dint in this cache carnival nonsense as possible so I decided to take a trip to Sydney to find some caches with FPs which, to be honest, is not my favourite geocaching thing to do. Anyway, time ran out by about 11am at my seventh find as I had to return home (central coast) as I'd promised to take the young bloke to soccer for 1pm. But when that was over, everyone just wanted to veg around at home and do nuttin... so I jumped back in the geocar to come back down to resume where I left off! Did two more down Carlingford way and then a cache by this same CO in Dural to get across the line with the Souvenir. This here "Windy Waters" was the final one on my day's agenda and not required in the end, but in meeting the CO at the cache before where he confirmed that the ferry would indeed be operating (operated 24/7 except for a brief scheduled maint every six weeks on a Tuesday morning or something), I decided to drive home via the ferry and grab this find, which surprisingly would cut off 20 mins driving time anyway (according to my Google maps).
I had solved this puzzle with my boys and a then-muggle friend of theirs who is now a geocacher with his grandfather, in fact they recently got back home to Australia after doing some geocaching in Switzerland! Anyway, so we passed by here somewhere in the mid-year school holiday break of 2017 when doing "Point Of Some Regard" to the north of here. I remember that day well - the boys were worn out at the end of that! Hence we only grabbed the numbers for this puzzle and worked it out once I was home. Good to finally collect after uncovering another clever hide from this CO. TFTC and puzzle, Calypso62. This was the final find of the day making 11/11. Looking forward to the next one of yours!

Went for ride over and back. Took photo of info required in case we didn’t have enough time before we reached the other side.a nice quick trip. Cache found and we sat and had a rest.
We were coming here for a Riley breakfast run, I checked out what caches were in the area and remembered this one, I thought Wazza9 had completed it many years ago, but on checking no. When we drove down the hill, I got out and was a walking passenger on the ferry, getting the information, then walked to breakfast. After breakfast, got the photo out, and started working it out, Wazza9 said did you get it, I said no it doesn't work out. I walked away Wazza9 read the instructions and had the coords in no time. My excuse is I must have had too many coffees and can't read. Arrived at GZ, even got a Nana nel park close by, walked up no muggles today, I quickly found the green thing and signed it and replaced. Thanks to Calypso62 for a fun puzzle.
TFTC,
Came up here for Breakfast with the Riley Club.
I off loaded Nana nel to get a photo of the required information to work out the location of the container over breakfast. We did that and made our way to the container before returning home.
Visited trackables.

I took the kayak out today and found Berowra Berries, Views of Home, and How Far Down before heading back to Berowra Waters. With a bit of time left before the I had to pick up my sons from school, I hopped on the ferry and donned the relevant information...then found I was on the wrong side of the creek. This is a great, fun cache, and it's better that you may need to take the ferry twice, so you can take in the views. A great hide and a really solid container. TFTC.

I LOVED counting and going on a ferry boat ride on the way there and back!
I also went with Kala my best friend.
The ferry boat moved slowly but it was still AWESOME!
The cache was hard to find because it was hard to calculate all the numbers and to add up all the numbers and to count letters on the ferry! It was GREAT fun finding and counting!

While in the vicinity, I completed a cache check. The container is probably in need of another paint job but will do for the time being. I added some more "treasure" for the geokidlets to discover and swap. The cache has been returned ready for the next geohunter.
Cache on...........

Setrite and I headed out this afternoon, trying to outrun the rain... and aiming for Berowra Waters where there was an Earthcache we still hadn't found. It being International Earthcache Day. Even more, there was a mystery there, and I ADORE MYSTERIES!!
(On that.. we were aware that this whole area is Calypso territory - and that his (inaccessible to me) evening Coffee and Conundrum Events are held nearby... so we bowed respectfully in that general direction.
I remember going to Berowra Waters as a child - so this was a bit of a nostalgia trip too. (My Dad taught me to drive in Galston Gorge!)
Anyway, the ferry ride was awesome. We worked out the co-ordinates and ended up finding the cache.. YAY.
The satellite part of the gps on my phone operated all right across the water, though my app access to geocaching.com failed completely.
Thank you Calypso for a fun afternoon. Favourite point.

Tftc, needing an Earth cache for the weekend souvenir I convinced the wife to come for a drive to Berowra Waters with the geotoddler. A bit of bribery with the offer of lunch at Pie in the Sky and she was on board.
After our lunch we headed down to the Berowra Waters Ferry. The windy road proved a bit too much for the toddler who showed us her lunch on the way down. After a quick clean up at the bottom we got the ferry over. The wife was kind enough to grab the required info for me while I sat in the car.
On the other side there was a distinct lack of rain so the toddler was able to shake off the cabin fever and have a good play in the park before I got the required info for the earth cache.
As the rain reappeared we caught the ferry back to Berowra and quickly stopped to grab the mystery cache before driving home to finish our day.
Thanks C62 for the great caches as usual!

Found with Orrsome86 on a trip down to finish his D/T grid and find a few puzzles. A lovely morning of paddling, some other caches, and a fair few walks/puzzles.
On the way to our paddle, I was a passenger on the ferry, so I could solve this one. With our coordinates looking good we waited til we were there. Then we made a quick, but sneaky hide.
Thanks for the ferry ride, puzzle and cache!

After finding my targeted cache in the area we stopped by this one. I was the driver so TOMBI was tasked with grabbing the required info on the way over. We then had a chat through the windows about the sums and managed to get it all calculated before we arrived on the other side. ON our return journey we stopped to make the find. Thankfully there was a park very close to the final and we wondered over to make a quick find.
OCW morty8888 who earlier in the day had promised me a ferry ride. Once at ferry terminal I wondered whether I was going to be lucky enough to get one or three trips on the ferry. As it turned out I only had one. Morty8888 was the driver today so the responsibility was with me to collect the required data to enable us to do the calcs. Too much pressure for an old fellow I thought but I needn't have worried as the required info was soon spotted. Once on the other side I jumped back in the car to do the sums and very soon we had a reasonable looking GZ. Walking to GZ we noticed a nice restaurant by the water whereupon morty8888 said we should of had lunch there. Perhaps another time. The cache was found fairly quickly and after log signing we were homeward bound. TFTC and a fav point for the ferry ride Calypso.
OCW Oldmorty with some unfinished and new business. Another Calypso cache and a beautiful windy drive down to the ferry. Love the fact this still takes many to and from the shores of east and west. Oldmorty was the pedestrian and I sat in the vehicle. Picked the right side and found GZ no problem. FP for the ferry ride. TFTC!
OCW the Bebes. I drove over while the Bebes went on foot to collect pictures of what we needed to solve he puzzle. We stopped the other side to work out the coord hoping we didn’t have to go back over. Lucky for us we were on the correct side. Tftc.

It’s more than 12 years since I rode this Berowra Ferry and it was just as lovely an area as I remember it.
I took note of the safety precautions and after joining PDG in the car we did some quick maths
GZ was another cute area and we had time to set there just as the last light left the sky
Fav point from me

We'd come to Berowra Waters some month ago because it had looked like a nice place to explore and have an outing on a weekend. Definitely didn't disappoint. While we were here I also noted that there was a mystery cache on offer, which required a ride across the water on the ferry. A ferry trip is always a great adventure for my little lad, so there was no hesitation about taking the trip.
After lunch nearby we made our way down to the ferry. By now the traffic had eased considerably, so there wasn't much of a queue of cars waiting to board. I stayed in the car while my good spouse and our lad went onto the ferry as pedestrians, the plan being that my wife would take a photo of the required information.
We got the necessary photo, but for some reason we didn't stop to work out the final co-ords. We really should have done that then and there, because we were now on the correct side of the crossing and I may even have made a brief stop very close to GZ. Ahh well, I often have to get around to finding caches on another day ...
So today was our day to pick up the cache, finally, after a lovely trip through the Galston Gorge, an enormous lunch (we obviously hadn't figured out how the Korean BBQ worked) in Hornsby, and a quick walk on a bit of the Great North Walk to pick up a cache there.
We stopped at a suitable parking spot and noticed the car on the opposite side of the road had a flat tyre. The occupants (a young man and an older one, possibly father and son) seemed to be poring over some instructions. I enquired whether they needed any assistance, but they assured me they had everything under control.
Thus, we found ourselves a nice picnic table where we could have some coffee from our thermos flask. While the others poured the soothing hot drinks, I busied myself making the easy find. As always with a Calypso cache, it was a good sturdy container. All was well with the log, which was duly signed before everything was returned to where I had found it.
By the time we had finished our coffee and headed back to the car, the people with the flat tyre had replaced the wheel with the spare. I wonder whether it had been a good educational experience for the younger man to learn how to do the job, assisted by the older man.

The Tipler's time series is perfect for this cloudy day.
We really like to take this kind of ferry. On the first way Gaga stayed in the car and Coco cross the river as a pedestrian to find all the clue.
But we have to cross again to find the cache. And ... cross again to go back home !!!
Very funny experience. +1FP

Went for a quick ferry ride to get an earth cache on the other side and noticed this on the way. What a great idea. Got the info we needed and then went to GZ and made the find. Once at GZ realised this was a Calypso62 puzzle so was happy to complete a bluebie of his. Giving a fav here as this was something fun and different.
Thanks for the bluebie calypso! Something very different and lots of fun. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Had to wait til i got reception to log though fave point awarded for the uniqueness.
Our primary mission today was to visit the old hotel ruins at Calabash Point, and to find the cache that's placed there, going via the car ferry at Berowra Waters. Also on our cache list was an EarthCache, a Mystery cache, and a few Traditionals located along the route. This was the 5th of 6 finds for the day.
We had collected the required info during our ferry trip across Berowra Creek earlier in the day. Due to us making the ferry crossing in our geomobile, and taking careful note of the CO's warnings regarding not being able to leave your vehicle during the ferry trip, the family's chief puzzle solver (seemed appropriate for a puzzle/mystery cache) elected to jump out of the geomobile before we boarded and made the crossing as a pedestrian passenger, enabling the retrieval of the information. She also managed to do all of the calculations, and come up with the final GZ coords, before rejoining us on the other side of the water crossing.
And now on our return journey it was time to go in search of the cache, parking the geomobile in a convenient spot and then heading over to GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Calypso62.

We had a great time in this area and a little Geocaching on the side.
Needed a smily face here as it is a very special place.

Did a cache check today while out and about with the grandkids. Unfortunately, they cleaned the cache out of "treasure" and I left my supply to replenish back in the car. I'll come for a run and replace sometime in the near future. All is good with this hide.
Grabbed the instructions for this on the way to Blue Mountains for the Long Weekend. Quickly worked it out on the way back and stopped to pick up the prize. TFTC
I found this one while taking a little side trip from the Great North Walk section of Cowan to Mount Kuring-gai. It was such fun to jump on the ferry and check out what was on the other side. Didn't take too long for me to do the maths for GZ. Thankfully, the coast was clear and allowed me some time to find the clever hide here. TFTC Calypso62
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Decided to head up to Berowra Waters this afternoon for a spot of caching on a glorious spring day. Once I made my way across the ferry of infinite waits it was a bit of a struggle to find a parking spot with a lot of people around.
On the way back over I was parked in the right spot, and while reflections meant a photo of the sign didn't work I managed to do the counting on the way over. Once finding a parking spot on the eastern side (a fair way from eventual GZ) I did the calculations. Initially the phone took me to the wrong side of the road but sanity prevailed and the cache was found fairly quickly. Thanks Calypso62. Left a TB I had gathered in New Zealand.

Did this one on earth cache day while doing the nearby earth cache. Beautiful sunny day. Had afternoon tea at the cafe. Lovely afternoon, Tftc.
Passing through Berowra Waters while doing the Berowra to Cowan leg of the Great North Walk, I took the ferry across the water, noting the answers to questions while in transit. After finding a couple of other caches on the western side, I had a delightful lunch at the local fish place before making the return crossing and homing in on the cache. It didn't take me long to have the good-sized cache in hand.
I took the Apollo 12 Mission geocoin to move on.
Many thanks for a fun puzzle in a beautiful spot.

Our search for real estate brought us to scenic Berowra Heights. For lunch we decided to drive down to Berowra Waters and then do two short caches. This is a beautiful area and a great place for a holiday retreat!
After having lunch at 'A Chef Secret' at the waterfront, we took the ferry across the water, picking up the clues and we first walked over to the cache 'Berowra Waters Views'. Then it was back with the ferry for this cache. I was pleased that I correctly counted and calculated as the coordinates were spot on!
The cache was found in good condition and I dropped off a geocoin which I have taken with me from Europe.
Thanks for the cache Calypso62.

I have been wanting to do this one for a long time and at last made it down to this beautiful place where I enjoyed the ferry crossings and a fairly acceptable coffee and banana bread at a waterside café.
It's a great idea, thanks Calypso62, a favourite from me.

I had a good time assisting with the calculation of the final coordinates and was praised for my counting skills, which were spot on. All in all, today’s excursion was a very pleasant time, the scenery was spectacular and at last the weather wasn’t too bad either. Thanks Calypso62, it must have a favourite point.
Out for a cache run today meeting up with Team Merlin and TARDIS 0061 we decided to target a number of caches in the area of Berowra Heights
With Team Merlin and TARDIS 0061 completing all the parts of this very complicated puzzle. With the green light given we now had the final coordinates in hand. Parking as close to the indicated coordinates we then walked a short distance towards GZ. Once at GZ we quickly located the hidden cache. With the cache in hand we signed the log and returned to its hidden location. Cache log and container are in excellent condition. This cache was the ninth of nine today.

Solve this sometime collect today on a Sunday drive after collecting 1984 TFTC
We worked this cache out a few years ago after a trip on the ferry during the inaugural Geotrek event, but never got around to finding the cache at the time. Thankfully we still had the coords and today we were passing by again and stopped off for a quick find. TFTC!

Have been doing a few ferry trips in my pursuit of the hardest locals so had the opportunity to see where I needed to be - but was in the car.
With a bit of contorting though, to the alarm of nearby travelers, was able to get some numbers.
Alas was on my way elsewhere so had to come back today and make a tidy fund.
Sort of astounded that it is still tidily in place m, despite recent council work, but I guess my eyes are now better attuned to the nether sides.
Took a TB.
PS Hate the timezone shift!

The oars have been withdrawn from the water, the wake has subsided and the two men in the dinghy have disembarked from the SS Minnow. Able Seamen Chudles and EDF are back on dry land, and it is time to note a few recollections from the success that will be come to be known as the Excellent Adventure on the Hawksbury and her tributaries.
As we rode the fery back in our car Chudles was directed to park right next to the passenger section - this fortunately meant I could photograph the Donning instructions without leaving the car! The only issue is that there were passengers there would thought it would be funny to photo bomb this strange guy's photo. After all I was taking a photo of the passenger section which is a prety weird thing to do. Anyway we all had a good laugh from behind the glass that separated us. Pity I cant include the photo as it would give the game away but she didn't make the shot anyway.
At GZ I signed and Chudles left a TB which I discovered.
I think this is cache #2016 - the only time I can match the cache find with the year!
TFTC Calypso62 and also for keeping everything up to date.

I originally found this one 3 years ago. Was back in the area today with EDF, and thought that this was a good spot to drop off a travel bug that was looking to travel east. The owner might have to update its goal now ...
Actually just re-read its page, it wants to travel around the world east. Anyone heading to NZ?

Any cache that involves a water trip is excellent.
This one was clever too, and we got to watch a skink sunbake.

10/12/15. 8:17 AM. Cache #3286. Streak day #536.
Yesterday after getting home from finding "Among the Gum Tree's", I spent a while solving puzzles and looked at this one again. I realised that when the clues had been updated recently, I now had all the information that I needed for the solve.
So I decided to return up Berowra way again this morning to get the find and clear another from my 20km radius. A pretty easy find in the end, and retrieved the TB. TFTC.

After a week of wet weather and more on the way, it was time to saddle up the mountain bike for a short ride to Berowra. Having found the Forgotten Lookout and Berowra Waters Rd Bush, I couldn't resist trying Windy Waters which I had looked at doing a few times. Gathering intel for the field puzzle took me across the water on the (different) ferry and I figured I might as well check out the Berowra Waters View. Approaching GZ, I noticed in the recent logs that this cache had only just been re-enabled yesterday. How lucky was I not to make my trip a few days earlier . Cache was quickly found in its hiding spot. I left a geokrety for the next finder. Now for the ride back up the hill . Thanks C62 for a fun puzzle in a beautiful part of the world.

I went for a drive today to Berowra Waters to enjoy lunch and to check on the information available on the ferry. Talking to the ferry attendant, I discovered the original ferry is away at present for refurbishment. As suspected, the replacement ferry did not have all the information needed to discover where GZ is. I have now adjusted the description so this cache can continue to be found no matter which ferry is in place. A check on the cache itself was also carried out. it's in good shape and ready to be found.
I travelled across Berowra Waters today and noticed it was a different ferry. I'm not sure if the required information is available and I didn't have time to check. As a result, I'll disable this one until I can confirm the information needed is still there.
MrG drove onto the ferry, MrsG was the walk-on scout. It was a quiet crossing with just one other walk on...dad and 2 year old twins. He was too busy to see the wry smile on MrsG's face when she found the second sign. We should have known that! We spent some time kayaking and while having lunch worked out the co-ordinates. A big sigh of relief when they pointed to a likely spot. A beautiful location and a great idea for a cache, we really enjoyed it. TFTC Calpyso62.
I never thought it was possible to accidentally find a geocache, but that is exactly what happened when I found this one! On a hike from Cowan to Hornsby we stopped to have lunch - as we sat and rested the legs, I couldn't help but think to myself, "that spot over there would be perfect for a geocache". Curiosity got the better of me and I walked over and checked out the spot. To my amazement there was already a cache there!! My geocaching dream of accidentally stumbling upon a geocache finally came true. TFTC Calypso62
Came in from the %^$#%^ side to get the required info and had to wait for some Bicycle riders to move to solve the final bit and quickly jumped off the ferry before the boom gate came down, not knowing where GZ was. Did the sums and it proved right with which side I was on. Walked to GZ and saw a spot that needed investigating and soon had cache in Hand.
