Logs
Quick find on a muddy tramp log is soaked may need some owner maintenance???
Easy find except learn from my mistakes:- long grass gets wet. - very muddy in the bush (we are boots and not ballet flats!)- possibly one for a sunny day!Located it safely but it was out in the open in the clearing. Tucked back under the [hint], tried to shake out the water in the container, but could do with an upkeep visit at some point to dry it out. TFTC!
Cache found open and full of water, log paper also wet. Did what I could to rescue it. Should be alright for a while.
A quick find. As previous cachers have noted there is no logbook in the cache and some strange swag (chalk in a doggy-doo bag and a glue stick). I've added a piece of waterproof paper as a temporary replacement log, TFTC
Lots of violent blackberry vines to contend with for this one, and unfortunately seemed in need of some TLC. Container was half open and no log book. Unsure what the chalk was for?
This was a DEEPLY wet find at the start of a hike. Agree with all the previous loggers, it needs new waterproofing. However, thanks for bringing me to a place I've never been to before! TFTC!
Considered a couple of different approaches for this one, went for the most level option, and it was only boggy for the last few meters. the logbook is very wet, however, and was difficult to sign. Managed to get some ink on the page, but it could use some tlc. TFTC
A fairly quick find.If it's wet, gumboots would be handy.Log is a bit damp and stuck together.Tipped a little bit of water out. Some swag is in it.Cheers.Sleepy was here!
I found myself in Johnsonville this evening, and seeing that I had wanted to find a cache or two to bump up my 'Sept 4th' finds I saw this as the perfect opportunity to do just that. In the end I found four, of which this was the last.
I walked to get to this one, and encountered only 1 other human (and her dog) on the field. Heading directly to GZ, I had to stop short by about 10m due to extreme squelchyness encountered underfoot. A bit of a detour later and the cache itself was a quick find.
The log itself is pretty damp, although my pen does manage to work well on soggy paper. Everything was replaced better than found.
Thanks for setting this one up.

A pause for lunch while some doggo exercise happened nearby, then a quick find once GZ all clear. All good in cache, tftc!
But if navigation around dog poop on the wet grass, but fortunately was a quiet morning with no-one else around. Log book lovely and dry. Tftc!
I made this find over the past weekend, only just remembered to log it though. I had to go late given the usual use of the park, and that made for a quick in and out mission. However, fossicking around in a hint object that late is quite spooky. Tftc!
Found all safe and dry on a wet spring day. Another wee reserve discovered!!! TFTC
final cache of the day and quick find. Grabbed the "Frodo the Dolphin" TB - might be a while before it can get to Greenland!
First time trying to find a geocache and this was so much fun, left something in it too, didn’t take anything out though. Thanks for this
From the right approach ... it was a short walk across a grassed dog walking field to the hint object. Was an easy find - a very family friendly cache. Took x2 Trackables, left x1 Dolphin Trackable. TFTC
Thanks for the bushwack! Biggest downfall, not knowing what a punga is haha! I walked right past it on the way to look under the wrong tree
Today's journey will take us from Taumaranui to Picton. We crossed Cook Strait using the Inter Islander last Saturday. Today is day nine. I was stopping for regular sized geocaches on the way back. We allowed ourselves plenty of time because we were expecting delays
at Otaki. We didn't have delays so we spent two hours catching up with my geocaching friend Ethness and had lunch.
This Easter JDScout and I are off on an East Cape adventure. We are driving in our campervan from Christchurch. This has been something we always wanted to do. I am combining this trip with geocaching.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Found quickly. The zip was jammed so we got some tools and um did it. Popped in a trackable.
Found, but sadly we couldn’t open it....the zipper on the case was broken and we didn’t have anything to try and force it open.
Cool cache. Took a while as poor reception made it hard to lock in on the cache. Found after searching around for a little bit.
No cell phone reception at CZ made thing interesting. Quick find with intuitive searching. All good here. TFTC
Lovely park. Quick Sunday stroll pick up. Didn't know this place existed. Tftc
I practically waded to gz due to all the recent rain but was rewarded with a quick find. Picked up a trackable while I was there!
Out for my usual Tuesday walk and decided not only to find this cache, but have decided to follow Mary Hyde's advice and get more points for dropping off trackable. TFTC
In Wellington again catching up with friends and family. Another day to myself - so with a new Nigel Navigator to try out - so lets go walking. Took the train to Johnsonville to walk from Johnsonville to Ngaio via Mt Kaukau. Not many people about today and a beautiful sunny day for a walk over the hills.
Went along the walkway but realised its down there so its back track and down the steps and along the slushy park area. Snagged and tagged. Cheers. Now back to the path.

*Just one more while I'm in the area*! Fast find after working out approach and wading muddy trough… good thing gf doesn't follow me on here or she might be less generous with her car. TFTC caroii77.
Was passing and picked up. Good coords, good hint and good container in good condition. GLAD to have this one. TNLNSL, TFTC.
A park we have never visited before. Team geocacher Mr. T. got tangled up in some blackberry which he said definitely reached out and grabbed him. I went round a slightly different way and had no trouble at all! Nice camo. Tftc.
The coordinates are spot on. The obvious route threatened wet muddy feet, but there's a drier route nearby. I was just wondering where to start the search amongst the trees when I spotted the camouflaged cache nearby. Easy find, all in good order. Thanks!
Great fun! Need to go 'undercover' and wear good shoes. My wife got wet feet! TFTC
Last cache after walking the Old Coach Road and picking up the various ones along that route. A good outing with the geohound despite a certain amount of wind. This one was a fairly quick find. #1026. TFTC.
So foggy today!! Couldn't see the other end of the park. Super muddy near by but found a drier way around.
I had read the previous logs so I came prepared with my gumboots. A quick find once I got past the scrub. It's been a while since I've knocked off a cache in the Cursed series. TFTC
Quick find by Papa Bear after stepping in very swampy ground, which provided much entertainment for Mama and little bear. Contents all dry. Tftc
Quick find with Mrs JY (aka Mummy) who had to carry me across the mud. Made a swap. TFTC
From on high I wasn't sure if I was on the correct track but, being of the "in for a penny, in for a pound" persuasion, I optimistically continued walking and soon found a set of stairs that provided an easy route to the general area. A quick find after the Winter Solstice event in J'ville today. The cache is in remarkably good condition ... those dry bags really are the business! Tftc!
