The time has come for this one and it's nearby mate to be retired. The idea was good at the time, but it's time to concentrate solely on the 1000 Club....which is the bigger milestone anyway.
Thanks to all who found this one....I look forward to seeing what can come in here in there place.

It was time to head out for the after work daily so I decided to target this one and the 2nd edition to complete the series so far
After making the find on another of the series nearby, I decided to wander down to this one to make the nab as well. Waded through the long grass to reach GZ where it was a nice easy find. Opened the cache to discover a bit of water in the cache. And it seems the log book has soaked up the rest of it-it is absolutely saturated I tried signing my name but the pen only merely scratched the paper. I took a pic instead.
Thanks for the puzzle and for the hide, Sol de lune

F(H)ound it! 4:45pm
I came out to pay our respects to the serious geocachers. I may get to 2000 one day, that would be nice .
I enjoyed the puzzle - after doing all the ACT 1000s series, I'm getting pretty good at navigating around the GC site and doing a bit of investigating into my fellow cachers statistics. I had to skip the 2000 1st edition today, might need to come sans Ridgeo-pup (she don't like BIG DOGS much). However this 2nd edition was RP accessible, if you excuse a few thorn-bushes. Some horses were being put through there moves in a nearby paddock, very handsome they were too. TFTC Sol de lune

Found in the Company of Rapidlywild while in Canberra for the weekend. Did the research and found the cache. Not fond of the long grass, so I was cursing a bit lol
Day 2 of caching around Canberra with Coruze from Albury/Wodonga. We picked up a handful of caches last night prior to resorting back to the warmth of the house.
As we continued our travels south side, this was the next target. Have had this one solved for quite a while along with the ACT 1000 clubs which I am yet to collect. Decided to head off for the stroll to collect the 2 of the 2000 club ones tonight. The longer grass really had Coruze on edge however she battled her way through and after a couple fence navigations, we were soon at GZ with cache in hand. It was rather muddy and slippery getting to this one, but patience and perseverance got us to the GZ eventually lol.
Thanks for the factual puzzle and cache placement Sol de lune

The third find for the day whilst collecting a few puzzles around town. I had solved this one, along with its partner, quite a while ago but had never stopped to find them. Today I had more time and we parked near the gate just as a security guard was leaving. He asked what I was doing and I just said I was going for a walk. After a short run, I arrived at GZ and had the cache in hand shortly after. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC Sol de lune!
Up early to complete the currently active ACT 2000 and ACT 1000 club series of caches (and a couple of others along the way). I spent most of a whole day figuring all of the puzzle caches. Also thanks to the CO for clarifying a few things for me.
A perfect morning to attack these after the overnight rain and overcast skies to keeps things cool. A quick and easy find. Thanks Sol de lune

Found this cache Nice walk along - good hide spot, signed the log. Thanks Sol de lune
Finding the gate wide open and no-one in sight I drove through and found both caches in this series quickly. One was even a drive-by. I did not delay after that, so I was in and out in a short time. OR...I would have been out if the gate was not now shut and locked . OOPS!!! Of course this was mainly my fault , but as I never saw anyone, or passed another car, I did not know anyone was about. Really they should have checked before locking the gate, or locked it after they entered, so no-one would follow them in. I read other logs where others drove in. They were lucky to get away with it. I rang Canberra Connect, and then ACTEW. An hour later (by now getting onto 7.30pm) a security car drove up and opened the gate and I was FREEEEEE... The security guys never spoke to me (probably as well), but the person on the phone wanted to know why I was on that road. I gave them some waffly story and they didn't question me further. !!!
Anyway, TFTC Sol de lune.
Next time I will park outside and walk.

#2166 - 17:35; After collecting the ACT 1000 Club caches yesterday and realising I'd made an error in calculating the ACT 2000 Club caches, it was back this afternoon to pick this one up. Despite the fact the gate was open, I parked outside rather than take the risk of being locked in. A wise move as one of the horse people confirmed my suspicion that the gate would be locked once the last person with a key had left the agistment paddocks. Made my way to GZ for a pretty quick find. TFTC Sol de lune
Day 169; cache 169. puzzled solved an quick pick up, enjoyed the easy walk to GZ! TFTC!
2013: 169 Days In A Row - Clever Fraggles solved this puzzle while I was at work today. We drove over with the munchkins and enjoyed the nice easy walk to GZ where they made the kid friendly find. Thanks for both the caches here.
Found on the same day of getting 2000 finds. After getting the milestone nearby, we walked on the road to this GZ. This was originally going to be 2000, but once we got our head around ver. 1, we decided to do that one instead. On the way, we really were wondering why there weren't anymore caches in here, there's so much room here. After wandering through the thorns and long grass, the cache was found nicely. Nice little hide. Left TB. TFTC SDL!
It has been a long time since I worked out the answers to this puzzle cache. I can't imagine why it has taken so long to log the find. Nice walk and good hide - although the log is slightly damp. TFTC
Lovely warm day today, homework puzzle last week as thumb up by POC then great enjoy stroll on your series caches area, and also luck the gate were open, can drive through to gz as easy to find as well hide thanks...
119, i like these caches but a bit afraid of spiders grabed this one wile a the xmass party nearby.
I may have this and the other mixed up but I'll pretend this was the first one. What a horrible Friday. Wind, drizzle but at least this was a new bit of bush to discover. Not sure that I'll ever make the 2000 club as I just don't like doing urban caches. Nevertheless, congrats to those who have achieved the lofty heights.
Well, did the required research and decided to go and collect this one.
Walked in along the road, then decided to cut the corner out and walk through the grass. Well, there is a hidden river there, so got both feet soaking wet. After arriving at the GZ, it was an easy find.
Thanks,

Thanks,
Joined Bewiderbeest for a afternoons caching first stop, err after meeting at the wrong CP .. whoops. anyway once I got my bearing met up and observed the interesting wrestle at the GZ, once the frivolities over and done will off to our next appointment down south..
thanks SDL
thanks SDL
I made a bit of an effort recently to solve the kilo-club series puzzles. I also decided I needed to make a concerted effort to find all the mystery caches Ive solved, after a couple of the earlier editions got archived before I found them. So that put this cache squarely on the to do list. Added to that, it was also a good point-scorer for the Geosportz game I'm participating in.
So I arranged to meet up with Mtrax for a couple of caches, and dragged the family out to help with the game requirements. A pleasant short stroll and we arrived at GZ and found the cache no trouble...but then trouble ensued as Ultra Violet Z, Little Buds and myself got into a wrestle for possession of the treasured box.
Fortunately, the wrestling was the kind you see on TV these days - for fun and entertainment, not trying to actually hurt anyone. We signed the log and trundled off to the next destination.
Thanks Sol for the cache, Im looking forward to my own starring appearance in the 2000 Club series - at least I shouldnt have any trouble getting that answer!

#998 Okay, so we probably parked in the absolute worst spot and picked the absolute worst route to the cache. The map in the GPS said there was a road here but not even a hint of a road could we find! After crossing two fences and the Serengeti grasslands we came upon the GZ and made a quick find. So so so close to 1000 now!!! TFTC
Day eleven of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland was marked by the very dense fog in Canberra but this cleared very quickly into clear blue skies and virtually no wind – excellent caching conditions. We started by looking for a couple of puzzle caches in Canberra (plus some traditional along the way) and then we headed north to Yass, caching only in the New South Wales part of the drive. Again we had a very enjoyable touring and caching day.
We had solved this puzzle before we left Tasmania and in the process learnt more about some of ACT's cachers. We wanted to try to find the cache before we left the ACT for this visit (although we will be back for a few days in July). After getting saturated getting to GZ for our previous find, this one was much kinder. The access road and the old road were used to walk most of the way to GZ for this cache. We only had to walk through wet grass for about 30m to get to GZ where we were lucky enough to make a quick find. TFTC Sol de Lune.

Fortunately didn't have to go too far through the very long grass to grab this one. TFTC.
The grass is so long around here, poor the_proton got spiked by some of those large spiky (poisonous looking) red berry bushes. TFTC.
128 I felt a little guilty [8)] when logging this one being my 128th find. I certainly felt I was in good company, but isnt it what these things are for.
I pay good money to get access to this location and keep things here, so I made it a drive by but still managed to get my feet wet.
Whilst I have two feet on the ground, I shall endeavour to get to this milestone myself (and some).
Congratulations to all those that are listed and thanks for the cache.

I lucky to find the gate open so this was a very short dive over the long grass. Thanks.

Have had this one solved for a long long time. Just never been able to get out to gz.
Today I teamed up with jusojara and went out to gz. Got to the parking area and the police were doing speed camera work. We left the car with them saying hey the car will be in safe hands.
Walked to gz and can say it is very wet around it at the moment. Made a quick find TFTC Have enjoyed this series

I met up with mr_roo at my last cache so we would grab some solved puzzles around this area and this was our first. As we approached the parking area I saw the boys & girls ensuring everyone was obeying the road rules - right at the parking area but they didn't seem to mind us parking there though.
Whenever I park on the side of a road and walk off I always have the 'will the Geomobile be safe' thought but I did not need to worry this time - I knew it would be safe.
Once at GZ we made a nice quick find although there was a little water under foot today. TFTC (and hopefully I will make a future edition of this series some time soon)

Out on our puzzle run with Ozlurker, it was a good opportunity for the bikes to get a run. FurfacesLL1 and Ozlurker treddled off down the road, while FurfacesLL2 waited in the car. They soon returned with the find and another one we could cross off the list.

We came in off ISabella Drive, so no driving to within 12 m of GZ for us. Instead, we unloaded the bikes and had a very nice ride to GZ and back. It was easy, the road was, well, a road - and the potholes ewasy to avoid, the inclines were gentle - it was very pleasant. Should be more of this riding to caches I said.
Thanks Sol, for a well-located cache with an easy path to get to it.
Grabbed the TB to move on. TFTC.

8410 We have become quite familiar with the names of the various cachers listed in the series, and have equally enjoyed finding their caches.
We found our 2000 milestone up a creek without a paddle, looking for an old Kauri Log Jam with KiwiGary.
Many thanks Sol de lune for setting up the ACT Club series, enjoyed reading about the achievements of the various club members. Congratulations and well done to you all.
Happy New Year and greetings from New Zealand, Cheers YuGeo4

First cache of the year and a nice one to mark the event too! We had the coordinates for some time but kept missing out on a chance to stop by. Today, on the way home from a family lunch this presented a nice walk! Well, as it turned out we actually drove to within 12 m of the cache! So, no exercise today!
Thanks SDL keep up the fine work!

First cache for the year and what better way to start than with a 2000 cache. Thanks Sol
Headed of early morning to do one and two after solving them last night. Only got 2 done as the grass is so wet and i didn't want wet shoes at work all day.
I will be back..
I will be back..
4212 + 266 = 4478. The fourth of several good finds this arvo...
As the first of the honoured Six new members of the ACT 2000 Club to make the find I was very happy to do the walk into GZ and make the very nice find - well hidden!! Thanks Sol de Lune !

We were out for a quick trip to grab a cache to fill the calendar, and because Mrs Winglen had recently plotted the answer to this we included it in the trip too. Rain has cleared, the sun was out and it was nice for a short walk. Soggy around the location at ground level, but the cache is all good. Thanks Sol de Lune.
A nice evening stroll with the doglette who is recovering from a bite and thankfully didn't want to chase the horses. TFTC.
back to our old stomping ground for an easy cache find. One of the stats logs didn't quite work out properly so left that til last and used the check sums to get correct answer. Was surprised to see the cache located somewhat further away from the other ones in the series but glad of the easier walk in and quicker timeframe to find it. No swaps so just signed log and replaced. TFTC
4941. [font=Century Gothic][green]Finally got around to solving this one on the weekend and as it's a short walk was my choice for tonight. Came from the longer straighter way and was interested by the change in walking surface. Wonder what the original configuration was. Found the cache easily and replaced it better hidden as it was completely visible when I found it. A nice stroll and really nice to find a cache at 7:50 without a torch.

Out for a days caching with Steeba and Hoojar. This was one of a few finds we made today.
I couldnt believe that we had to dodge the muggles as we came in here, but once at GZ the cache was easily found.
Thanks

Found with The Rats and Hoojar on long days run through Canberra.
Another nice set of cachers celebrating their 2,000th. A short trip from the other nearby cache. Thanks!

I remember my 2,000th cache, it was quite a challenge. I found this one today with two mates that I have found a lot of my caches with, Steeba and The Rats.

Found on a lovely lunchtime outing. I hope the lads near by ignored me.
I took the TB's and left a pink shoelace!
Thanks....I wonder which edition of this club we will be in? 3rd or 4th??

Ah, a lovely little walk down memory lane in the dark. Also, a walk down memory lane with some of the caches too.
Left TB, and the other thing, was that a coin????? Didn't pay much attention in the dark.
Thanks Sol for another in the series.

Woohoo! My 50th *FTF*!!
I got the email for this one on the way home from work and solved it while I was cooking dinner. By 7:45 I was really surprised TankEngine hadn't got it and so I headed out.
Bashed my way the hard way to GZ, but took the "easier" route out. Then I ran into TE as he arrived as I was leaving. Lucky for me it was a "special" day for him, otherwise he would have got it.
Forgot to drop the TB and so gave it to TE to pop in for me
Congratulations TE and thanks again Sol.

Ah yes – could have been here an hour earlier, but hey, being my wedding anniversary slowed me down a little! (I’d promised to cook dinner – well, I normally cook, but I couldn’t get out of it this time!)… Oh well – at least they only come once a year! (And no, it wasn’t a year ending in zero or 5).
Solved the puzzle quickly enough, but also didn’t find the road I thought I saw on Google Earth. Luckily Norkmeister appeared before I had travelled but a few metres into the very long grass! Thanks again Sol de lune!
