Having been so close to this cache when across the creek earlier I was keen to get over there and knock off these outliers. All good with the find and removed a Maccas sauce pottle. T F T C T W
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

On my way back from the HCMC Xmas Autocross, I swung by to look for this one. Got out of the car, and spotted the cache falling out of its nook before I even had time to get the GPS out. Tucked it back in, a bit more securely. TFTC.
Easy to find, but not so easy to retrieve the cache. The entire area is covered in gorse, and it's not little bits of gorse but the kind with a trunk. Would suggest the next cacher to search for this to take gardening tools to cut their way in.
No luck for us. Lots of gorse in the way. Then the youngest in the family who were biking the Orewa bike trail, fell off and required some tlc. Had to make a hasty getaway. Will be back.
A quick park and grab as indicated, looks like a car almost found the cache too.... bit of damage to the wall and vehicle glass about. Cache survived all ok.
Great find! There's a lot of glass around looks like someone crashed into the wall so not too safe for kids
Phone put me in the middle of the road so had to check both sides, first guarded by gorse and second revealed the cache. TFTC
First find for this weekend on the way up North. Thanks for the easy park and grab
An easy find, though I was worried about getting my face scratched off by the local flora.
1st find for today. Really quick and easy to get me started. Added a few more treasures to the collection. TFTC
As we approached GZ, there was a car parked right by where we thought the cache was hidden. We soon realised that the driver was asleep and oblivious to us searching. The cache happened to be on the opposite side of the road, so we didn't have to stand right by him while we signed the log.
I can see how this cache got it's name, there was plenty of thud, thud, vroom happening while we were there. There was a man sound asleep in a car parked right by GZ, but he didn't stir thankfully and once we were on the right side we made a nice quick find. Rather an odd place to take an afternoon nap!
Merlot58, Aiden29 and ourselves returned to the sunny Orewa to collect some new caches that had been published since the last time we had been up here.Thud thud vroom. As we got to GZ a car was parked nearby with a man asleep at the wheel. Grabbed the cache and he didn't stir.
I also started on the wrong side. I didn't want to move over because of the gorse (of course), but eventually did and made the find. Took: VW-Bulli TB. TFTC.
Out and about on a lovely day for a spot of cache detection. I parked up and got to searching...on the wrong side of things. Quickly realised my mistake and was soon rewarded with the find after making the switch to the right spot. Left a geocoin. Rather prickly at GZ presently. Cheers for the smiley! Now to see where this road goes.
Chucked this one in gps and let google get here without any hassle, and only one car passed by as I went about finding the cache. Started on the wrong side but sanity prevailed and the cache was quickly found. TFTC
Nice quick find here ( Once I negotiated how to get here ! )
Thanks for this Team Welsh ....

Quiet little road next underneath a busy one especially at holiday time. Easy find.
Fabulous hide - nice to find a big enough cache to have swaps. Will bring my daughter back and do hat soon! Thanks for the easy find!
Came by this way about 7:30pm, very dark and I had my head torch upon me, I got to the retaining wall and searched and searched, I thought how small is the cache, checked the cache page again for the info and thought I have missed this somehow or maybe the cache has been nicked! My headtorch batteries were fading fast but as I was about to give up I see another retaining wall... OOOh what have I missed here then? I see that now and soon go to the end of that wall and very quickly have the cache in hand, very dusty it was on the outside due to the dusty road, but I was quite glad to have found it, vrooom... vrooom!
Nice find. Had to check twice until we found it and got a few scratches though.
The cache name was certainly correct. Tucked away a bit better, not that many non-cachers would be stopping here, tftc
Found once I realised that there's two retaining walls...
Quite a bit of moisture inside the container, and the logbook is still damp even in its new plastic bag.

Long time since this cache was last found and boy has the gorse grown! Managed to escape with only a few prickles however. Took TBs to move on.
Had planned on doing a different cache, but there were too many worker near GZ, so continue on to this one. Was a quiet road to nowhere but I suspect not for much longer with the new road bridge accross the estury from Millwater. Quick find and left a couple of TB's TFTC
