GPS co ords all over so didnt find. The waterfall was lovely and lots of people her today.
Had a thorough look for this one, but not long after we arrived, we had muggles galore turn up!! What an awesome spot though, thanks for bringing us here. We didn't get to sign the log, but we signed the tree!!
Out with brisal5 and Aussie M & M trying to make our way home from the JLW.... A beautiful location that we had to stop at.
Thanks for the challenge.
Thanks for the challenge.
June Long Weekend with brisal5 and mogni. Today was a day of taking the long road home. Something we cachers seem to do more often than not.
We really wanted to visit this one and give it a go after only fleetingly visiting this one yesterday during the event. At that time we had no time for the traditional, but we had plenty of time today. Boy, what a challenge. We had been told that there was no need to climb to the top, but the bouncing GPS signals had us going all over the place. We used the updated coordinates from a previous log, but this too had us about 11m from where the cache was finally found. This was definitely a case of quitters luck.
TFTC huxiekez.

After a great June Long Weekend with Aussie M&M and Mogni it was time to head home and collect some caches along the way. .
The GPS was going haywire here bouncing off the rock face. Have 1 metre and walk 1 metre to now show 20 metres. Other JWL attendees had found it but their descriptions were of no use when faced with the terrain at GZ. [:o] Mr M. finally spied a trail going to a place he thought nobody should really want to go to so he took that and came away with the prize. Thanks huxiekez.

Found during the June LWE event. Everything about this cache seemed shonky... was with shonkylogic trying to find it... was given a shonky lead that the cache was 5m from the temporary cache (later found out it was 35m), ...and now logging it, I find the co-ordinates may have been a bit shonky.
But... I couldn't think of a prettier spot to spend extra time looking for a cache. Thanks for bringing us here, huxiekez. Took plenty of photos

A lot of cachers were collecting around here during the LWE event. Mr S was on the hunt for a game hide on the other side of the creek but that was proving elusive. In the meantime Mrs S was talking to some Kiwis when Skippy and others found this tradtional so we had to log it in passing. Was educating the Kiwis about geocaching.
Thanks huxiekez. Nice spot.
Thanks huxiekez. Nice spot.
Was with Skippy and Moneydork during JLWE -- ran into the Stanleys too. This is a gem of a spot!! and goes on my favorites list for visiting caches. Thanks kuxiekez.
Found while attending the JLW Event at Yankalilla. Nice spot, but the coords are a bit out. TFTC.
This was our 3rd cache find in the caching run.
So this now makes our total find count 6782.
[blue]
Found while we were attending the "Friendly Fleurieu Frolic" event. It took us (and quite a few other teams that were with us) quite some time to locate this one, as the satellite coverage wasn't really great at this spot.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: ????
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks huxiekez for the hunt today.

A part of the June LWE event I visited the falls with several other teams looking for one of the event temporary caches. What do you know, there's also a GC.com cache here! So a search ensured. Some (dodgy) intel had us looking in the wrong spot. One of the team who was not actively cache hunting saw it and guided us to it. The falls were falling today after some rains over the last week or so.

Took a while to find this due to some shonky information from some of the other teams. Not 5m but 35m away from the temporary cache. Ms shonkylogic spotted it while waiting for all the other teams to look fruitlessly on the other side of the river. Owner PLEASE change the coordinates to S 35° 31.871 E 138° 20.580
Found during the JLW event. We found the event cache that was close by, and then began looking for this cache,Took way to much time ,as the GPS signal was a bit dodgy. On the verge of giving up, when a bright eyed lady spotted the treasure from where she was standing. Thanks for the hunt.
We were out roaming the countryside completing the hunt for the June Long Weekend Event when this cache appeared on our radar. It is virtually imposible to go past a cache (well, at least for us) and we just hade to go and search. This one took some tracking down. Our GPS invited us to climb up a steep rocky area but, thanks to Dazzatron and Laighside Legends, we learnt that the coordinates were very inaccurate and only an excursion of 1 to 2m off the track was required. This made it a quick and much less taxing find. The cache and its contents were in good condition. TFTC huxiekez.
I remember finding an old cache here back in 07, today we found a newish one a lot closer to the falls. Always love coming here, especially after a good rain, TNLNSL Thanks from PG
15th find of day 2 of my June Long Weekend Caching Trip.
This one was an adventure. Not reading the previous logs we assumed it had to be up so Ben (Leighside Legends) headed up and I followed I decided to stop at one point as was getting dangerous but ended up continuing anyway but once arrived at the location looked for a while only to finally read previous logs telling us that it was within a few meters from the path so down we went. upon arriving at the base again we couldn't find it to start with and then it was finally spotted and signed. Think we turned this into a 5 terrain cache the way we did it but we got it in the end and that is the main thing. Think you will need to correct the coords a bit to avoid this in the future.

Had a poke around at this waterfall and found a great place for a cache… but no cache there! Widened our search and found the cache in an unlikely spot, but it is reasonably well hidden and in good nick.
After logging the find we couldn’t help but use the nearby good location – a lovely mossy log, as the location for one of our temporary caches for the weekend’s event.
Amazed at how many muggles there are at this fairly obscure location – they were coming and going constantly!

Found It!
Well this was an adventure. Me and Dazzatron got to within 40m and then read the 3 star terrain rating and decided up was the only way to go. Once we got to the listed coords we had a good look around and couldn't find anything. Then we looked at previous logs. Back down we go...
Even then it still took us a while to find it since every man and his dog seemed to be visiting the falls today...
You need to fix the coords (Freddo's are good). And D/T is more like 1.5/1.5.

Out and about hiding cache for the June LWE Event, then found a few cache down this way too...
Nice walk I've done before. Plenty of water at the falls today.
Had a heads up on the inaccurate coords before heading here and used tge previously posted finders coords. The listed cords are about 60m out. Found in the open so replaced a bit better.
TNLNSL
Thanks

Was heading down for the JLWE a day early to clear the playing field so there was no distractions on game day. Grabbed a few others on the way.
I made the trek up the hill to the posted coords. It took a while battling the ferns, bugger bush and blackberries to find a great view of the waterfalls from above.
After reading the logs and finding that it was back down the bottom, down I went. At this stage I was saturated from sweat and some of the muggles thought I had been swimming in the falls.
Found the cache easily down the bottom. Future finders - DO NOT GO UP THE HILL - it is not up there. TFTC.

A lovely area and we enjoyed finding the cache with Di Morgan and Bill. Thanks to huxiekez
Arrived at Normanville for the event, after some lunch we went out with Liz and Bruce to find a few caches.
Wouldn't have come out to this area if it wasn't for a cache.
Would love to see the area when its nice & green & some water over the waterfall.
Lots of places to hide a cache in the area.
Thanks huxiekez

I found this cache out in the open right on ufinditpoyndexter!'s coords. The published ones are a bit out. This hide has been discovered on at least 7 occasions by muggles, some positive comments left. I removed several pages due to the offensive nature of what had been written. I replaced it in a manner in which I would like my own hides concealed. TFTC
Very nice location, and agree with several other cachers that the coordinates need to be changed to
S 35° 31.871 E 138° 20.580. The original coordinates would take you up an approximately 20m vertical cliff, and another 30 or so metres beyond. TFTC

An enjoyable day caching with Whitepaws9. It took a while to search. I was happy when Whitepaws9 found it. Good to get this one off the list. Beautiful spot.
Thanks huxiekez for the cache.

Thinking to myself.."lots of crevasses, this could take a....oh look there it is". Wasn't as hard as I thought it might be!
Last week, using the original co-ords I thought the walk was a pleasant walk for a mountain goat and ended up with dnf. Today, armed with new co-ords (thanks to team Astro) found the walk easy with a quick find. Thanks huxiekez.
Pretty location. There was a drlbble coming over the falls. The cache was found 35m from GZ. The actual coords are s35 31.871 e138 20.580. Try them and see if they work. No need to get anywhere more than 2m off trail.
Try the new coords posted here. Reading the other logs, we put our units away. They were all over the place anyway. We stood back and spotted the suspicious rock. Bingo at these new coords. Lovely spot even though it was just a dribble today.
Thanks to huxiekez and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Our adventure cache of the day !
Sat. loc. here was rubbish today, even though the sky was clear [B)].
Walked up to the second falls, but our GPS still was saying we were 50 metres off .
After an extensive search at the second falls and reading of others problems, we started a 4.5 terrain climb , but retreated, expecting to leave with a DNF [:o)].
Once down again, we were walking away and checked a couple of places when we came across the hide . Our GPS said we were 40 metres away !
There's no need to even go above the first falls (although you may want to look at the second falls, since they're much bigger) .
Took sticker. Left soccer ball. SL.
Glad that one's found [^]!
Thanks Huxiekez.

A surprisingly quick find considering the GPS had a melt down when I got around the high cliffs near the falls and wanted me to go another 30 meters past GZ.

Found it suprisingly quickly considering gps said that we were not there yet.
Thank you for the good hide.
Thank you for the good hide.
had some geofriends help find this one as we were looking in the wrong spot, then nat0507 came out with us for a second attempt to find and she found it with ease!
Second attempt at this one so took some geofriends with us for some extra eyes of course Nat0507 found it first quiet a nice little hidey hole TFTC
Friend found it after saying to me has anybody looked over there? I said no, and low and behold she found it lol.. Great find, put two marbles in it..
After hearing it hadn't been found friends and I were more inclined to keep looking and finally come across it. Well done huxiekez great location !!
Was really hoping for a FTF, but after walking too far the first time(but enjoying the views) we marched back.
Hard to walk and read GPSr,walked it in several times and ended up trying for the 'likely spots' but no cache found
