Boo. No luck for us today. Looks like the tree has been somewhat 'trimmed'.
Hopefully it was just our bad looking!

I think we met a Goondooloo local very close to this cache. It appeared he might have had car trouble due to the way he was parked, so we drove up and asked if he was OK. He was at the back of his ute, and informed us he was "just getting dressed". We decided to move on and return later.
On our return, the guy was gone, so we set about finding the cache. Mrs J spotted it, but did not see the large spider hugging the container. She got a bite from the spider, but it did appear to be only a huntsman, so we continued our days caching.
Thanks Freddo.

Off for a weekend of fun and caches with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat, and Alex our geonewbie.
Always best if you go on d loo. Or at least behind a tree.

The navigator over shot the coordinates as was distracted by a station wagon driving on the wrong side of the road. Nice easy find once back on track.
Catching up on a few late logs (something not that unusual for me). As always, I enjoyed the journey to find the cache, mostly I have been in the company of Team Crackers, maccamob, alansee and the Coffee's, but occasionally I have gone out solo to soak in the solitude of being out in the fresh air.
Thanks Freddo for placing this cache.

We are heading across to the Flinders Ranges on a 2 week sojourn. We don't intend to do a lot of caching but will try and pick up a few along the way.
Today we are travelling from Lameroo to Burra and collected this by the roadside.

Across The Murray on the ferry at Mannum, it was time for a leisurely drive to Swan Reach, then more OTD cache trails. This was a great drive, very picturesque. Thanks for the cache.

Doing a circuit today from Mannum to Mannum via Sedan and Swan Reach. The weather today is much more comfortable and we're enjoying our caching more. TFTC

I enjoyed spending a weekend up in Murray Bridge with my folks Sylken, and after a very fun and successful evening of night caching last night, we were up with the birds again today to grab some more caches on our way to Swan Reach to do La Cueva.

Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
Camped currently at Big Bend, with a beautiful sunrise that we only caught the tail end of it was time to set off and explore the local area.
What a beautiful part of the world. [^] Just Magical all the stories we have heard of the Mighty Murray had just been tall stories until now. But wow oh wow. So impressed.
Thanks for helping us explore this magical part of our Australia.

I am over from New Zealand for OZ Mega 2014 and today joined forces with fellow kiwis Yorkshirekiwi83, Slieschke and Cats&Dragons and hit a few caches under the team name of "3ST" (a reference to the first letter of our first names.) After completing the Fruit Loop series today, we made our way back to Murray Bridge, picking up a few more caches along the way. Thanks for the cache!
Vistra and I were in Murray Bridge for the MEGA event, we got a phone call from fellow Kiwis asking if we wanted to come out and play and hit a powertrail, well of course we were up for it. We formed the group 3ST (which consisted of Cats and Dragons, slieschke, Vistra and myself) and headed out to the Fruit Loops trail, after we had finished we travelled around a little on our wy back to Murray Bridge picking up caches as we went.
Quick find, thanks for the cache
Quick find, thanks for the cache
Found as part of a short caching adventure before the official start of the OZ MEGA with Slieschke, Yorkshirekiwi83 & Vistra on Thursday 17th April. All logs were signed as "3ST"
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the drive and the caches that we were presented with (learning along the way some local acronyms SPOR which occasionally we turned in to LPOR )
Thanks for the fun of the run and the sights that we saw including a large Lizard basking in the road (swerved to avoid) along a nearby power trail.
Collected following the finish of the Fruit Loops series and heading for a few more caches before heading back to the MEGA
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

just stumbled apon this cache when cross countrying stopped at intersection and spotted cache lid TFTC LEFT PATHTAG
Found at 11:04 AM GAFF1. Didn't want to frighten the sheep that we re near the fence, so went to the other side of the road first to find nothing. So I raced back and really frightened the sheep[:o)] That will teach them for keeping me away from a cache
Thanks Freddo.
Thanks Freddo.

Zoo, poo & loo? Not necessarily in that order. When we rounded "Chucka Bend" (love the name) & spotted Goondooloo pop up, well, another lovely name - we just had to go'n'do it didn't we? So we did.
The cache maker and I came from Queensland to find some caches and this was one of them.
We have seen lots of nice country, rabbit holes, sheep, rocks, etc etc etc.
We have also found lots of caches.
thanks for the cache

The first of our caches on our long weekend trip to Loxton. I am thinking that even with the cheap rent, I might prefer one of the shacks at Purnong. Cheers. MODU
Thanks for the quick stop off. I didn't notice the second one until now. TFTC.
Talk about making an easy cache hard! Searched for quite some time and just about to admit defeat when I saw the little hide. Have to say that the cache was well covered! TNLNSL TFTC Freddo!
Cache notes like this one make me happy that our chocolate coated friend is not employed in any way, shape or form, by the governmental types that make policy decisions based on statistics [:o]
In a Freddo'archy, the good citizens of Goondooloo would have government grants coming out of their ears by now.
A new community hall, skool, retirement home, swimming pool, centrelink agency and community bank would have received financial backing by now
Not too mention the new TV repeater and having the NBN fastracked into their area.
I'm sure a DGPS station would be on the drawing board too.
After "doing" Goonodooloo this afternoon, I find it hard to believe the population figures quoted !!
14 is closer to the truth and I am sure 12 of them lie in the nearby Bowhill cemetery
I do think the community is worthy of a geocaching grant though and more Goondooloo caches would certainly be welcomed

We did the other end of the road yesterday while filling a few haps in the Wandering Heroes. Is this one Goondooloo one then? TFTC.
Having done number too it was high time to do these couple, quick find brought the cache over to the car to log and a large huntsman fell off the base of the cahe and into the car well its been a while since I have seen Mrs frog move that fast, needless to say we were going nowhere until the little critter was found and back into the bush, we managed to coax the spider out before we were off once again TFTC
Whoops! I incorrectly logged this as found on 1-10-12 but it was go'n'do - goodooloo too two that I actually found. Other end of the road! Cheers to everyone who does find this one! Sorry about the mixup Freddo.
I was returning from a camping weekend with "Are We There Yet!" and he announced this was one of the few remaining that he hadn't found yet, so we Went'n'Did it. Thanks Freddo. TNLNSL.
Out for a days caching with Team Astro, Freddo & Winterdragon.
After a damp week in Adelaide it was nice to get out to the Wandering Heroes part of the world and find some caches.
This was one of our stops [^]

Another quick find for the day, thanks for informing us about the people of Goondooloo. TFTC Freddo.
A big day to clear The Wandering Heroes and pick up a "few" others.
It started out really cold, -1 in Murray Bridge and ended up cold by the time I got home.
Mostly there were no problems finding any of the caches, I even went back and found one that I couldn't on my first pass.
Thanks to all who placed the caches.

After having a fantastic time at the Oz Mega event we had to drop the youngest team member back in Melbourne as she had to return to work Tuesday but we are fortunate enough to have the rest of the week off and as the camper was already hooked up it seemed silly not to just keep going picking up a few more caches along the way.
It's quite obvious that Goondooloonians don't want for much and have been missed by the soaring house and land prices. We're not sure what you would do in Goondooloo but 154 Goondoolooians can't be wrong. The cache was a nice easy find
Our thanks to Freddo the Chocolate Frog for the cache.

Not really a place I'd like to call home but "each to their own" as they say. Found the cache on a hot, dry day.
A short diversion on the way to somewhere else (not Goodooloo) [:o)].
They even get rain out here - this close to Christmas [B)].
TNLNSL.
Thanks Chocolate Freddo.
