Find #: 3,684Companions: NoneMuggles: NoneWeather: Warm if windy winter morningCache condition: GoodAfter running the Werrington Lakes parkrun I decided to find some nearby caches, given I am not often in this area. The area was quiet, so beyond the "you're under constant surveillance!" signs (they could have come and helped?) I was able to search in peace, and it didn't take too long to get CIH - TNLNSL TFTC
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect the new Adventure Labs, Letterbox, Traditional, and Puzzle/Mystery caches that have appeared around Penrith & surrounds since our last visit to the area back in May 2023. Will also be returning to the lower Blue Mountains for some new caches and to attend a Winter Solstice Event at Mount Riverview, and a Post Winter Solstice CITO Event the following day at Cranebrook. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 17th of 21 finds for the day (day 2), and 28th find of the holiday. After completing a SideTracked MultiCache at Ropes Creek we next came to this Traditional cache at North St Marys. Arrived at GZ and was initially looking on the wrong side of the driveway, but then switched sides and after a bit of a scratch around we soon had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. It's nice and quiet here on a Saturday afternoon, but suspect it could get quite busy on a weekday. TFTC glenNally.Find #6878
Didnt find it this time, but not much time as I was on a work break it was across the road
Our second attempt at finding this one we finally got it, first time we looked drove us insane. Look low along the fence line
Going to have to log this as a dnf. Ill return with reinforcements another dayThere are tradeworks at GZ not sure if the cache may have been disturbed
My stubbornness got the better of me. Sat in the car to rehydrate and read logsThe logs help more that the clueWent Back and found immediately Great hideTftc
Searched at gz for a long time, eventually found it, hint helped but mainly logs helped tftc
Its one of those hides where one can find out by checking previous logs. Ah well, a little success nonetheless

After a lot of searching and reading past logs, finally found it. Ive been meaning to tick this one off the list for a long time now. Thanks for the smiley. Been replaced and tucked away hidden from muggles. Lots of loose leaf matter around so some digging required.
Took a fair while but finally found, thanks to previous activity mentioning there was no need to enter private property. Replaced the log with the only paper I had on me. My son had fun with the bugs nearby
A quick unplanned trip to Penrith today in support of some very good friends. After the official part of the day some catching up at st Mary's and then time for a few caches on the way home.

TFTC , 2nd time lucky. After reading a few logs, got the idea where to look this time. Log is full and unwritable, sending pix to CO as POF.
Found yesterday - logging today!
Nice easy find. Log is really wet.
Thanks for the cache

Being as it was Saturday afternoon I was not expecting any traffic in this industrial zone. Actually looks like somewhere locals come to learn to drive.
I don't know the area at all and as I approached the street I thought I was heading for a bus came along which I thought was lucky and I would follow it. It didn't turn so I went off on my own and eventually found myself in a deserted section and the GPS pinged.
For me the co-ordinates were quite good and I quickly spotted the cache which was hidden in a familiar way. Signed the log and then spent way too long trying to get it back in the container. Sometimes it happens.
Now how to find my way back to the coast???

In town on business for a few days. Grabbed a few nearby caches w/ my coworker. This one took longer than it should have. Found it in the end, a bit off on the coords as previous finders also mentioned. TFTC!
Almost left without finding but then read old activity and found within minutes! The guard dog was lovely
Ticking off some random smileys as I detoured on my way to visit family, wasn’t sure of the title’s inspiration as I signed the quickly found log. Crouched down to replace the camo then stood to be startled by a huge bus turning out of the driveway. Oh yeah, there’s the theme!
Out for another epic days caching with marj01; this time around Erskine Park, Orchard Hills, Kingswood, St Marys and Ropes Creek, suburbs that I would never have visited if I wasn't for geocaching. We found lots of caches; mainly nanos, minties and a few small sistemas plus a good old ammo can.
A big thank you to all the CO's who placed and maintain these caches.

This one eluded me last time, but thanks to previous logs I made a quick find today.
I had the coord being a few metres out so after reading some logs I made the find. TFTC!
Found at 10:16hrs. I have been here many times but either DNF'd or got muggled out. Firstly my GPS had me on the other side of the driveway, I then went back to where the big blue and white stand-alone sign is (and the hint indicates you should be). I resumed the search... Nothing.
Finally I read CO's comment from 07/06/2014 - thanks for that glenNally . Had CIH, signed log and returned as found. I placed a rock over it for camo. TFTC

Tftc - found the buses by driving down the driveway. Oops - reverse, turn, park, find, outer here........
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Found hard to find but after a good look we found the cashe well done small but awesome dates back to 2005
Find count: 274
Just a short day out and about to kill some time and continue increasing the find count.
---
We pulled up here, and wondered where the buses were. No such luck finding the buses.
A quick search didn't locate anything of value, but with a quick PAF, the hunt moved a few metres away and within seconds the cache was then found. Why did we not look here before phoning?

Took a little while. Looked in the wrong spot. Geokid was getting distracted by the wheels on the hydrant. A quick PAF so that geobaby wouldn't wake up while looking. CIH. Added more paper for log, signed and returned.

After searching for about 15 minutes and educating a friendly man coming into the business about geo caching and that I’m not crazy I had made a find - I needed a clue to make the find as it was hidden as a previous cacher had tried to cover it from plain sight, the log is very full but I found a small spot - TFTC glenNally, I really enjoyed it!
Finally found this one after scrolling back and reading all of the previous notes...Hubby came up trumps with the find in the end. TFTC
Red herrings, redbacks, near red, kind of... no busses... keep searching... oh, duh! TFTC
Logged on 12 March 2019. After conducting an audit with Mr MR of caches found in the area I discovered I'd forgotten to log this one, which we found after work on 30 October 2017.
Finally, after all these years we decided to grab this one, dropping by after work.
Nice one, thanks glenNally.
Nice one, thanks glenNally.
Couldn't see any old sign apart from what business is there now ..... been told the sign has been taken down by owner
I'll have to come back for another look when I'm in the area again! It it's still there

Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. Found it with Kise78 after orienteering in Wianamatta. TFTC
After finding a cache of the day we didn't want to stop there although the sun was going down. This one was quite visible, l'm not sure where the farmers friends have gone (l suspect they have been cleared) and the cache could be seen from the kerb. Tried to camo with a rock nearby. TFTC =)
After looking all around every, stood there, having a scan a round, I saw it. That shinny thing. Tftc.
This was made tricky by GZ being on the concrete driveway, but I searched nearby - the tree, the sign, the plumbing and under the concrete slab, the fence, but it was a DNF. I gave up after being asked what I was doing there; satisfying that person and then having another person sitting in a car watching me.
With the hint in a few recent logs and the CO's hint from 2014 there were only two choices and the first came up trumps.
