Cache has become damaged and I have moved from the area making maintenance difficult
Parked up the top and headed down towards GZ, all the while thinking to myself how much I’m going to enjoy going back UP the hill Found the cache quickly, unfortunately the container is broken so the log is soaking and I was unable to sign this one. See photo for proof of find. Now....back to that hill....
TFTC!
TFTC!
Found. Ground zero bounced around a lot. Eventually found. This one needs a LOT of maintenance
Grabbing a couple of local bush caches that we didn't do in summer. Nice walk down and up. TFTC DJTracking
Great view when you pull up, however not so great view when staring at the hill... TFTC
After looking at the slope I thought "no way!" but took it carefully with bristracker encouraging me on. Once we arrived at GZ it was a fairly easy find. Luckily I had a small notebook and plastic snap bag. After signing the piece of paper put in original container. Next visitor might like to bring a new container/and bag to take wet contents back to a bin.
It was a slower trek back and awaiting sore muscles later on!!!

Did the walk and the climb! With joojoo57 today, just for the exercise! Love this view of the mountains here.
The container is cracked and no longer waterproof. Recent heavy rain has damaged the gc contents including the log.
Found but the container was ful of water and log was unloggable. Needs maintenance. TFTC.
A short stroll to this one. A very easy find with the cache lying upside down in the grass.
All good apart from the location though. I replaced the cache close to where I found it. Left it a bit more covered up too.

Wow, I didn't know this area was so beautiful with such majestic views. Thanks DJTracking for bringing us up here and TFTC
a great location. when I disturbed the cache ants went everywhere WillPunkey grabbed the TB
We felt like a wee walk this morning to put the burn into the glutes so I said "hey, let's make like the grand old Duke of York and head up the hill to take some photos, them walk down a hill just to walk back up again!!". This cache fit the bill perfectly with the added bonus of having just gone into forsaken/lonely/ unloved cache territory. Quite pleasant up here, though I was a little disappointed not to get a better view of the dam. I guess that's a walk for another day
Thanks for bringing me here

Happy New Year
Found at 2.20pm car stopped twice to these caches but was worth it!! Not only stunning views last night's storm and fireworks would have been amazing from parking waypoint.
TFTC now he'll back up this hill
These caches happen to perfect for a challenge cache I'm doing #GiveOldCachesLove

What a beautiful area. Great spot for a cache. A nice quick find while out on a little mission today. TFTC. TNLN. SL.
Having grabbed the two along the road at the top, it seems Apple disappointed me again here with another road marked on the map that is not actually a road at all. Anyway no problem cannot be a bad walk down.
So over the fence and down I go, LHE_Duo waited at the top, and well a little steep a small jog the whole way down was easier then trying to walk it. I had been kind of hoping to maybe get a view over Hinze Dam, but I guess the trees are just to think and it was not to be.
Soon enough I arrived at an area that looked good and soon found the container, I signed the log book and removed another book that had been jammed in making it hard to close properly. Considering the lid has already had some repairs thought it better that there was a little more space to ensure it was closed properly.

We carefully headed down the track for this one as there had been rain and thought it may be a bit slippery but we all went down pretty sure footed. Number one son (Golden Dire Wolf) made very quick work of finding the cache and the views of the Dam gave us an idea to head down and grab the Dam wall series. Thanks DJTracking, for placing the 524th cache we've found so far!
We found the cache but we are pretty disappointed the combi TB wasn't in the cache (I have a slight obsession with combis) but TFTC
I was up here again this morning so I walked back down and droppwd in a TB. The red kombi key ring
Went for a big run down to Tweed Caldera area, picking up over 30 for the day. Caching with some of the little kids as is normal for me. Some fantastic caches, including a visit to Heinz Dam, and two earthcaches in total for the day. Visited so very nice scenic spots, had lunch out on the road, and did a bit of walking in fresh air. What else could you ask for... My thanks to all cacheo owners for placing and maintaining their hides.

Nice steep walk and a great view. I uploaded a pic of the walk down. TFTC.

On my final day of my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab a final 39 caches for the day. Had a great day with a few hard finds and a few walks. Thanks to all the CO's for their placements, and I apologise for the generic logs but I'm so far behind in my logging. Thanks heaps. Very steep walk here, but a great view at the carpark.
Headed up here early this morning for a few finds. It's been years since I've been up here, I think the last time I came out with some mates the car we were in had a dodgie automatic. So we all got out and tried to push it up the last part of the hill but failed. Thankfully my car today is all good.
As soon as I hit the track leading down to GZ, whip birds started goin off. You gotta love that sound first thing in the morning. Soon had cache in hand and another log book signed. I didn't realise Hinze Dam was so close until I fot down here. Think I mite have to come back to explore a bit more.
TFTC awesome views

Aha! This one had looked too hard for me previously. But today I brought Brother Colin along - known to be fearless when tackling bush tracks - and so I had confidence it could be done. The hint was helpful but we searched several places before the cache was spotted. Then I felt very relieved - the walk was worth while and I had the energy to "climb the mountain" back to the road. And another lovely view.
The last day of the August challenge.
After work I was to meet up with Bristracker.
While in the area we stopped at this one as I of had found this one.
A short walk had us at GZ and eventually we found it.
Thanks for the cache.

We did these two back to front but that didn't make the view any less stunning! This was a short walk in to the cache and it was soon spotted in good condition. We raced back up to the car and were very puffed by the time we got back! Thanks DJTracking
Fantastic views of the Gold Coast from this elevated, hinterland cache. Enjoyed the physical challenge of the walk from car to cache and back too. Cache was on the outskirts of Mudgeerabah, a delightful "village" inland from the Gold Coast. We stumbled accross the D'Arcy Doyle art show in the Mudgeerabah Hall, an annual event this time of year.
Started the day off with this cache close to home, box is overflowing with swaps.
182 meters said the GPS straight down a goat track. Off I went while geowife and daughter took it easy up with the geomobile. The walk began to the cache and a trot happened within a few meters as the hill took over. Down the bottom I slowed and took myself to GZ. Hint had helped as GPS was off slightly. Looked down and bingo there it was. I signed and looked back to see the geoothers watching my progress. I cooeed to them but no vocal reply just a text cooee, don't think they understood. The mobile beeped with more encouragement from the gallery of ' run and hurry up'. Who needs enemies when you have loving family. Great cache with plenty of stash to trade. It was a walk but just being up there looking out was well worth it.
Visiting from Newcastle, staying with my brother in Nerang, found with him (frayeromm), bit painful for us two old crocks, TFTC DJTracking!!
Mr Dannza and I ventured down the track to capture this smiley with discussions around the calf muscle exercise that would take place on the way up. Found cache safe and dry. TFTC DJTracking
This would have been a lot easier if the 'Road' actually went all the way down, LOL lots of muscles will be sore tomorrow......
Well, it seems this cache is a bit off the 'beaten track'. As it has been a couple of months since we were there and did some minor repairs with some borrowed Duct tape, that MVMB had found on the road trip North we thought that someone else would have found it by this (22/2/13).
A nice walk down in the mist, but then a trip up to the car for the tape and scissors meant that we definitely earned our smiley. Left a ziploc bag.

(Late logging of Find - 1/2/13) Found with MAP's and Cookie while on a road trip North.
Nice to be able to share the driving rather than having to pedal.
YES! We took the … road!
Am sure we didn't do the damage to the container in our collective hunt for it.
Having seen most if not ALL of the MacGyver episodes it was decided that the roll of Duct Tape that I'd noticed, and we'd stopped for on the side of the road down Grafton way would be very useful in repairing the lid, so MAP's went back up to the car and grabbed it with some scissors. Should keep out some of the rain, but not sure about the heavy mist that we experienced while there.

0640 GAFF1 Off on an early start with MAP's and MVMtBiker, and they took the right 'road' they were able to get to the cache quicker than me. You guessed it.
And while Manning Area Pathfinders are NOT Boy Scouts, they do come prepared. Well, it did mean a return trip to the car to retrieve a roll of Duct tape MVMB had picked up off the side of the road on the way. I'll let them tell their story (when they get a chance to get online).
Left: a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen, and a Ziploc bag to double bag the logbook until the CO can properly maintain the lid
Brought through for mileage: Through: CITO Tag, 3Bros, Lighthouses, IconicBridges, B2B, Baa, Neigh Neddy and Oink, Signal 2006, and 100 Finds achievements coins, Red Racing Ninja #4 TB, and trackable shirt.

Out for an afternoon caching working towards our 700th cache.
We have done all the caches around our area so I had to travel to get a good group together.
WOW!! I knew this was up in the clouds but the poor old geomobile just chugged away slowly climbing up and up.
At GZ the GPS was taking me all over the place so I put it away and went by the cachers eyes and brain.
Thank goodness I did because my GPS was taking me to the other side of the path.
Thanks DJTracking TFTC SL TNLN

I had two more to do to reach 50. Dropped the shopping at home put on my mowing boots for traction as I knew exactly what the ground would be like and went to get the two closest caches to my home. Left TB and took "follow the fire tacks skip" path tag. I have lived on the hill for 24 years and never gone down this fire trail!! It is a very slippery walk down hill, although the side grass has just been slashed and you could walk on this if you keep an eye out. The snakes are out ( one was crossing the road at the nearest car parking spot), and so are the ticks. Do watch out for the wallabies, three were on my lawn when I arrived home.
Thank you.
Thank you.
It was very dark in the outback of the hinderlands. I believed I heard a snake or an other dangerous animal... The box was easy to find. We enjoded the view on the goldcoast an on the skyraise of Surfers Paradis. Thanks for hidding
I tried to write some loggs in english and now i write in german. Danke fürs zeigen dieses schönes Platzes.
What a spot! Few trails are always going to give you nice surprises! Amazing to see the "new" dam from up here too. TNLN TFTC!

Would have been nice to have found this cache the other day when I was up here for Perfect Panorama 2, however, there are not too many local caches we haven't found and so we are trying to do the local ones one at a time when needed to fill in the caching calendar. So we had to come back for this one today.
This cache is certainly down a steep bit of track that we knew we had to climb/trek back up again, but we made it o.k.
Hunted around for a little while with nothing appearing quite right. Started to read through the logs for a clue and came across Fangsoki's co-ordinates. Changed the co-ords on the gps to his co-ords and then came up with the cache fairly quickly. We were surprized it's been a couple of months since anyone's been here. Cache is in good condition.
We left a Christmas pathtag in recognition of the season and took nothing.
Thanks for the cache DJTracking.

Found after a lovely hike and spectacular views of Gold Coast and Hinze Dam. Found a trackable so took if for a drive and photo before putting into another cache. TFTC
Wow, what a view from here. We've seen the view to the coast on previous visits to the area but never seen down into the Hinze Dam. Spectacular. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
After doing a mammoth milestone cache, Radnoski and I decided to grab these two new beasts in the area. We saw some people parked in a car right next to the entrance to the area. Other cachers? Apparently not.
We picked our way down to GZ and started our hunt and Radnoski soon came up with the prize. I have posted up the co-ords that worked for me.
There was some splendid views from up there. Good job DJTracking - TFTC

A group of us were up at Springbrook when we saw that these caches were published.
We were about to start a half day walk in search of another cache so the FTF wasn't going to happen this time.
On the way home we took a detour, checked out the view and grabbed the cache.
Thanks for the cache DJTracking. Great views.
While signing the log, one of those pesky cache stalking ninjas jumped on in.

While not all that far away at Bonigin Rocks cache, it was noticed that a couple of caches had also been published in this area. What a climb, even the car smelt a bit tired by the time the top had been reached! Walking downhill to gz we heard some bird calls we had not heard for some time. Watching the trees above we spotted a Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo, that also took flight with great views to be had of the bird. Not sure if this is an area they visit often, but certainly worth checking out. Not too far further we arrived at gz, a search revealed the hiding spot, and our 2nd empty log for the morning - where are the other local cachers! Wow *** FTF *** logged at 10.33am, giving it a favourite for the Cockatoo and the views which are incredible in all directions. TNLN. Many thanks DJTracking.
