Came down for a walk with Skonos, who was reminiscing about his youth clambering around this area.
Unfortunately I think some of the current local youth may have found and disturbed this cache.
It’s quite out in the open, completely filled with filthy water and a bunch of debris.
The logbook was only partially recognise-able, and definitely impossible to sign.
Tftc, but there is some maintenance required.

As per my find log, this cache is in need of maintenance.
Completely waterlogged, and I doubt it is in its originally hidden location.

With several challenge caches signed earlier in the year we set about today to try and complete some of those challenges ...in particular the challenges which required a total of 50 large cache finds. After lunch we continued our cache hunt and arrived to find a container full of water but luckily we found dry but water damaged logbook nearby under the rock shelter. A cache definitely in need of some TLC. With the cache in hand we all signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in poor condition. Thanks for the cache kirby24706.

With the sun out after a few days of rain, a day of caching with Oldmorty provided perfect conditions for some searching for treasures. Followed the path to GZ, found a golf ball and a huge container. Unfortunately a saturated log so added a new waterproof log. TFTC!
Today I teamed up again with morty8888 for another day of caching, this time around the Pymble, Gordon and Roseville areas. We had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding many of the hides but also a few DNF's along the way. Really couldn't miss this one. TFTC
On my way home from work i decided to make a detour and come grab this cache.
After parking at the end of Spencer Rd i found the head of the trail basically by stumbling over it. You dont really see the trail till you’re right next to it.
After passing a family of rabbits enjoying the evening on the golf course i headed into the bush to find the GZ.
Taking care of the slippery rocks i spotted the cache after only a couple of minutes of searching.
Like the previous finders mentioned, the cache was wet and mildewey and the log was sitting in a pool of water.
A lovely spot.
Thanks.

Grabbed this one on my way home today. Pretty spectacular rocks to climb around. The cache itself had quite a bit of water in it and it’s very smelly but the log is in a bag that was quite dry inside. The log book is filled to the end, but there are odd blank pages still available for signing.

Located at 4:36pm. #849. Have eyed this cache for some time but never had the right moment to get it. Today, wanting to keep my D/T average up and also take the opportunity to log another Large-sized cache, I decided to make a play for it. Parked nearby and strolled in and was basically at GZ where I quickly had CIH. The cache still smells bad so I signed the log quickly, resealed the container and replaced as it was found. A good size cache, just a pity it has been mishandled by muggles . Большое спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
Nice quick find. Very cool container! Unfortunately a bit pungent as per prev logs.

In a nice and quiet spot. Hopefully I would not hit this far into the bush from the fairway but maybe as my golf is terrible at the moment! No muggles of any sort in sight. T&B
Cache needs to be cleaned out and probably disinfected because it stinks and has been found by muggles.
The second find of the day. Loci612 noticed this cache on the map and wated to make the grab, since it was a large cache. So this one was the next stop. We snaked our way through the backstreets to make our way to the parking area for this cache. A nice little stroll into a beautiful little area. It took a few minutes to locate the cache, which was quite possibly muggle-affected (I'll leave it at that). Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC kirby24706!
A large cache so close to our route up to the Geomuster so I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to come find it! Have been hunting down Large caches for a while now for a challenge back in Canberra.
Convinced Cankid to swing by and we were certainly not disappointed. It was a lovely walk and an awesome place for a cache, and the cache container itself was also pretty amazing, haven't seen one like that before.
Only problem is that it seems like someone has muggled it and "peed" in it in the past as it absolutely REEKS when it you open it up.....
We also enjoyed reading a muggle log from someone who seemed to be on drugs when they found it...
Cache needs a big overhaul and clean!
Thanks for this cool location and cache regardless

Came out this way specifically to grab some large size cache this being the fourth of seven large fins today. The purpose being to reach 50 large finds for a challenge cache in Canberra. This will be my 31th Thanks kirby24706 for the placement a bit whiffy at the cache cheers
Beautiful spot first in NSW. Nice find although had a bit of a fright from a large lizard!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this cache appears to be discovered by some unsavoury types. The cache was in the open and the lid had been flung into the bush. The log was wet but signable. Unfortunately after signing the log I discovered that the wetness was likely urine and not water. I put everything back together as best I could but its really gonna needs some attention. Such a shame too. A nice area and one of the bigger caches I've found. Thanks.
Today, after lunch, we headed westward across the Roseville Bridge to grab a few caches around the Lower North Shore. This was the 4th of 5 caches for the afternoon.
Parked the geomobile in Doyle Place (no parking allowed along St John's Avenue), then crossed over St John's Avenue and down the pedestrian access pathway. Followed the path until we were close to the cache, then dived off into the bush and down to GZ. Quickly spotted the hide and soon had the extra large cache container in hand. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC kirby24706.

I was on my way home from work and notice I hadn't clear this cache from the area. It was not too far out of the way and parked at the end of Spencer st and found the 'hidden path'. I followed the path towards GZ and found I had the place to myself, all except for a few hopping, fluffy tailed onlookers that hopped away as I approached.
Noticing the dirt track that lead off the paved path, I followed it to GZ and soon discovered the enormous cache.

Some early evening caches in the neighbourhood. A nice, quiet area situated next to the golf course.
As my dog and I walked down the steps onto the trail , rabbits ran away in all directions. My dog was getting very anxious and if not for the leash she would have gone for the chase.
After a bit of rock scrambling, the massive container was spotted.
Nice hide!

I must have walked very close to this cache a few months ago while searching for another. Came in from the St Johns Ave side and was at GZ very quickly. Following the iPhone arrow, led me straight to the cache which was pretty much out in the open. I had a thorough look for trackables as requested by wackyweedos but there is only junk and the two log books inside. SL, secured lid firmly and placed under the ledge with a bit of natural camo.

We are wondering if our trackable "rainbow the Aussie octopus" is in this cache still? It was placed here 2 years ago & we haven't heard from him since... Geokids are wondering when he'll get moving again. Thank you
That's a nice sized cache! My only regret is in the pre-dawn gloom I couldn't see more of the very cool surrounding area. The creek was flowing full force and there was frosty dew on the fairway as I approached on my little detour before work this morning. Grabbed as not only a close to home cache but also a requirement of #geosportz2016 on 2016
Lid was loose and I couldn't get it to close either as a bit rusty but otherwise in OK nick. Cheers!

I had driven to this area intending to find a nearby challenge cache, but it was a bit too dark to find that one. This cache was in the vicinity, so I decided to have a go. I headed in with my torch and spent a couple of minutes climbing around the rocks before I spotted the cache container. Then I had to think about how I would get to it, which involved going up and over the top of where it was hidden and down the other side. Cache is a good size, which is nice to see for an urban area.

First cache of my long weekend caching adventure! Entered via St Johns St unintentionally as that's where Google maps took me, but thankfully that didn't hinder me. Found the large cache quite quickly, and signed my name in the smaller notepad. Tftc!
A really nice track and walk to this one.

What a big cache! Nice spot with a good walk. The cache is infested with ants so it needs some maintenance.
Nice big cache. Full of junk, but my kids enjoyed it.
Lid wasn't on properly so it was a bit damp inside. I fitted the lid properly before putting it back where we found it.
Nice cache. Thanks for hiding it.

Journal log 28th September. Gordon.
Searching for the Ammo crate. Rabbits and lizards watching. I feel so alive. They don't know I am here. As I uncover the crate, a twig snaps. I quickly turn around to see a dragon! Well a water dragon. It knows why I am here. I stare it down.
After fighting the water dragon, I sign off. Leaving the crate behind for the next soul who comes in search of it.

I always like to find a nice big cache. But tod one seems to be full of rubbish and the trackables are missing.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
That was a big un. tftc tnln. Its amazing some of the crap people leave in caches.
Collected at least 4x golf balls in which I tossed aimlessly back over the fence. Had me searching for quite a while before I spotted the camo from afar. Wow, nice container, the top and lid were exposed, so I added extra camo on top but left the lid, thanks kirby
Streak day #267 - I came over this way wanting to try for Kid Ron Satans' streak challenge cache, but arriving at the correct location there was a muggle family playing. Dangit. Knowing I didn't have a lot of time I had a look at what other caches were nearby that I could grab. This one was reasonably close and I am always curious to find more large size caches since they aren't as common. I saw that someone else had come in from the St John's Avenue end recently, seeing as that seemed like it would be the quickest way I parked in the street opposite. I ran down the path hoping for a quick find. I was a little wary of a muggle golfer who wasn't far away, but thankfully he wasn't facing me by the time I needed to leave the path. Heading bush I found that this area reminded me of the creek area near my house where I used to play as a kid. I would have liked to have more time to explore. In the end I spotted the cache from below. I then made short work of getting to the right spot to open it up and sign the log. When I put it back I tried to cover it a little better than when I found it. TFTC. A great spot.
Surprisingly I have never got down here to look for this one in the past, possible as the plague of pointless micros in frontyards nearby and to the north hidden by others means I don't tend to look at this area much. I approached this from the St Johns Avenue end of the path, and as I was getting out of the car a muggle couple took the path. I turned right a little early, and followed a narrow path that faded out but I could see the main one ahead, so retreated back to the fenceline and then took the right path. Once at GZ it didn't take too long to find the monster container! A nice big one, not sure about the dinner plates nearby but they would have fitted inside. Last for the day on a cold afternoon's caching. Thanks kirby24706.

My daughter was invited to an event at a Lindfield school, so after dropping her off I decided to find a quick cache on the way home. I parked at the recommended spot, and was surprised by the solid path, which is presumably less of a secret than when the cache was placed. When I got close to GZ I followed a likely path down to the rocks. When closer I spotted a painting tray, so someone has obviously been trying to take a "human photograph" of this attractive spot. The impressively-large container was quite exposed only a meter away, so the artist must be aware of it, a theory extended by the logbook I signed, with the front pages appearing to be muggle-written.

After missing out on a First to Find, I continued onto here. I've been meaning to grab this ache for a while but just not got around to it, so I made the point to grab it today.
Didn't come in via the specified access, I instead went in via a path starting very close to GZ. It only took a short search, and a bit of rock hopping, to espy my quarry. And a good sized cache it is too, which means where I found it was very exposed - lucky no muggles have pilfered it.
Completed signing duties and added a pitiful amount of camo.
Then I watched a few golfers ruining a good walk - especially since they had golf carts.

I had some spare time in the morning before having to start work. This park looked really great so I headed in. Wasn't long before I had to deviate off the track. Stumbled upon two large lizards basking on a rock. They quickly scurried away. Then I soon discovered the treasure. At first I wasn't sure if this indeed was the cache as it was huge. Biggest one I've discovered yet. So big it deserves a fav for size and great location. TFTC.
Found it and was greeted with a very smelly bag but very nice spot. Dropped a tb. Tftc, wouldn't have found this spot otherwise.
On the way to the Emerald City came across a city of another dimension, or is it Tin man's helmet? Certainly fits the definition of "Large". In good shape, plenty of skinks about. Thanks for placing.
Lots of golf balls to find too! If you can spot them...

Thought this ammo box was going to look a little different but still yeah it was huge. should've brought some big swappables.. Found about 10 golfballs too which is always a bonus. TFTC
Biggest cache I have ever found. Good easy find that allowed me to introduce a new cacher to the game. Left a Travel Bug.
Another streak saver on the way home from work. With good coords and hint, not to mention the size of this thing...! It didn't take long to spot the hide.
Grabbed the container and opened on top of the rocks to sort through the tressure.
A little surprised not to find a dozen golf balls as they seem to find their way into caches everywhere else...

Hmmm, wow! Quite impressive! I saw that this cache was a large container before my search but I didn't realise quite how big until laying eyes on it. I approached the golf course just as the dark of the night was setting in so I knew it would make things a lot easier if I was quick.
I headed in towards where all the boulders/rocks were. It took a couple of minutes for me to make the find but when I did I was pleasantly surprised. This one deserves an FP for sure, a nice cosy hiding spot as well.

664 [388] The cache was out of position, very exposed and ripe for the muggling, so I tucked it back under and put some bark and stuff around it. I didn't see any trackables in it (although I didn't have the most thorough examination of the cache contents), so it may well have been muggled already. Tks kirby24706!
By the time I got to this, I'd struggled with what should have been some easy local finds and was in a crummy mood. Then I got to GZ here, and the sheer size of the cache made me smile again. Wasn't going to miss finding this! TFTC

This was a very enjoyable cache to locate. We enjoyed the walk and weren't hit by too many (any?) wayward golf balls. I was passing by and had a spare ten minutes so decided to grab this one after a DNF on my last visit a while back. Now... that's what I call a cache!!! We've been busy finding caches for the this fun challenge. The description and coords were were excellent. There were many places to look, but as it was dark there were no muggles around. I made the find using some good caching logic and we both soon had the cache in hand. We both were a little concerned about the exact location as the GPSr was jumping all over the place.
Anyway, it was a great night to chase the 31 one days challenge. It was a nice location and I know it well playing golf with firends here ruguarly. Thanks kirby24706 for another cache. This one has been ticked off. SL TNLN TFTC
