I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi Felix!
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I would say i was in exactly the right place judging by the hint. Looks to be goneburgers.
I've been meaning to tackle The Tripod for some time; today was the day. Sat and quickly worked through the clues, then homed in on GZ. Unfortunately, as previous loggers found, no sign of the cache. Found the zip-tie that may have once secured it...
I believe to have the correct coords, there is a bank at exactly GC, but nothing there.
I was down in Wellington for the week for induction to my new job and wasn't sure how much time I'd get for geocaching but I was determined to try and find the ones close to my hotel in Cuba St.
I had decided to get up extra early and go for a walk around the area, particularly since we would be sitting for most of the day and after our training, we would be having a large group dinner with our executive leaders, so this was likely my only chance to stretch my legs for the day.
I ended up relatively close to the final of this puzzle which was solved while I was still home in Auckland - as I was able to find the information online and my final looked reasonable. Since I still had plenty of time before we started for the day (who needs breakfast anyway ) I continued my walk. As I was approaching GZ I heard voices behind me so sat down to let them pass before I attempted to search. Had the cache quickly in hand, signed and replaced. I then stopped to visit the actual Tripod on my way back to my hotel.

Out with Geoson for something sweet after dinner, stopped at nearby Sweet Mother's Kitchen and then completed this fascinating cache. As previously noted, container needs urgent replacement. Tftc. MattyH from Tassie
Found whilst on a quick trip to Wellington from Melbourne. Brought with me a (former muggle) Elgee who may well take it up.
This one's container could very much do with some TLC...
Thanks for the hunt and the fun - greetings from Melbourne.

Thanks for the hunt and the fun - greetings from Melbourne.
Quick multi and then an easy find, just the way I like it. Cache is super rusted and the container needs to be replaced.
Found it! Great puzzle! Box was quiet rusted. Definitely needs maintenance. Tftc
First quiz cache, really fun and interesting to solve. Did with Snugglers. Cache itself was quite rusted though and in urgent need of repair
Quick grab of the info on the way through.... nice and easy which is pleasant. Grabbed the hire car and slid past GZ on the way back.... and I have never seen such a rusty container, the crack on one side goes almost the length of the container... didnt attempt to sign. Have phot of container if requested
Tftc found with geeves90, once we got the answers correct we were set! Have sent you a pic of the tin it's a wee bit rusty.
Out on a full day Mystery at the Museum Gem hunt with Kimmy+co.
Up hill and down dale, great day with not too much wind and the sun shining, a lovely winters day.
Legs will be letting me know about this for a few days, I bet there are bruises to come up too.
TFTC
Note the container is needing replacement - it is very rusty.

Up in Wellington to do a course for work, seems wrong not to sneak in a few caches whilst I'm here...
A straightforward hide - Container is a bit rusty.

(# 5160). I solved this a while ago and finally decided to grab this one today at lunchtime. Was surprised how quiet the area was. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
I’ve been trying to find an opportunity to do this one for ages and today it finally appeared! A quick bit of research at puzzle GZ led me to the cache in no time at all and I can finally claim my smiley face! The cache itself is getting quite rusty but otherwise it’s all good.
This was so much fun! Added a new sheet to the log book. Thanks for the adventure!
I had a spare 2hrs to do some caching while 8yo was at a birthday party. This tripod is great sculpture and I've always appreciated it. The final location was muggled as I approached so I went to the nearby Dairy hoping she would move on. Luckily she left just as I was passing by again and the cache was retrieved easily. The cache is a bit sad looking and could do with a replacement container and log. TFTC
Great statue. Thanks for bringing us to see it as wr would likely have missed it. Answers got easily and a short walk to final. Tftc.
Saw the object while walking around yesterday and recalled there was a cache related. Did the numbers and hoped they were right. Spotted the cache and signed one of scraps today. The container has become rather antique. Thanks Felix!.
We visited the Tripod as we headed off for a full day of exploring the city. Coordinates were calculated and the cache found shortly afterwards. As mentioned by an earlier finder, the container is now rather rusty and no longer watertight, although the log is currently dry.
Quick find or 3 before the city got too busy this morning...
Thanks for the cool puzzle cache Felix!

Tin very rusted and I found it really hard to get lid off....needs new paper log too....
Last day on my looong weekend in Wellington....had just done the new virtual on the Quay so thought I'd do this too!.
Awesome Creation!
Enjoy Field Puzzles....wasn't till later I understood the hint!
Many thanks....

I sat in the beautiful Wellington sun, gazing at the statue as we worked out some credible looking coords. Tftpc Felix!
This weekend was a first for me in Wellington, so I never saw the previous cache. This was a nice straight forward, but enjoyable field puzzle to solve. tftpc
Our find #3957
mrandmrs in town, ahead of the WENZ Mega
Dinner complete time for a quiz, and a short walk. This one had been on Mrs radar so nice to visit post coords and of course GZ...
Cache container quite rusty but managed to extract tattered log and put our mark on it

Thank you for creating this fabulous mystery and for leading us to view the iconic Tripod differently. We found the cache and it might need a bit of attention. We tried drying out the older log, but it’s in a bit of a rough shape. TFTC from markvier and Traveler9.
Had fun finding the final coordinates, ran to the final location but was unable to sign because the log was to crumpled and wrecked, but found it nonetheless
Thanks for this one. I miscounted the number of bulbs (one less than actual) and it took me to a dodgy AF alleyway. After a quick look I checked the hint and suddenly it became obvious. Rechecked bulbs and of course got it. Very rusty. Signed below Daffy's entry.
I realised the I could walk to the conference dinner and pass by a couple of caches, how convenient! A very time detour here, and luckily a quick find as it was a bit chilly sitting around! TFTC!!
The information for the final coordinates was quickly gathered. Final close enough that I decided to go for it. Cache quickly found. Lid was had to remove due to rust and the log has been stuffed in I was able to get the plastic bag out with a small scrunched up piece of paper to add my initials to but could not get the rest out.
An interesting puzzle cache thanks for the cache.

Quick find with a courier van parked directly besides. ...none the wiser. Lovely day in Wellington. TFTC.
I love this statue. It makes me think of War of the Worlds. Was a quick solve and find. Thanks!
This is more of a multi than a mystery, but nonetheless an easy solve and find. Tin is super rusty and log is on its way to becoming weetbix though. Tftc
We really enjoyed the mystery and the cryptic hint. Although our co-ords took us to the wrong location it was easy to back track and find the final CZ. Thanks for the cache CO. A Fav point from me.
Awesome sculpture but rusty and wet container. Could even see it when walking up the hill bc wasn't hidden as well as it could have been. Luckily the plastic log bag was still semi viable, but really think this should be fixed up a bit (I see there's a current need maintenance open)
Great puzzle. Found the cache easily at GZ, but had to sit a while to sign log and replace cache as quite a few muggles around. TFTC
TFTC. great puzzle. We were early for the new star wars movie and wanted to fill in some time.
Quite the delightful sculpture, and worth every moment admiring it. Did the needed and derived some good looking coordinates which I could Bank on being correct. Headed to GZ and a quick found was made. TFTC!
An interesting sculpture, demonstrating the work of the Weta Workshop. Not too tricky to sort out the details, so we modified our route to seek it out
We worked this one out, once we reached the tripod and took the short extra walk to find the cache.
Down in Wellington for work and some culture. Oh and some caching. Day three of our caching and we decided to check out the tripod. Looking like an invader from War of the Worlds we enjoyed locating the information and subsequently locating the cache. Loved the tripod
#383. I have been meaning to suss this one out for a while, and having driven my car into town for a service this morning, this was the perfect opportunity. Nice easy puzzle, and good co-ords to GZ, where the cache was in an obvious place, across the road from an "obvious" building! But sadly, the log is pretty much munted, (unwriteable) so I put in a dry piece of paper to record my visit on. Tftc Felix, but see next log.
Picked up the geocoin.
Consecutive caching day #75.

Arrived in Wellington this afternoon for a couple of days work, so went for an evening wander to find some caches, find some dinner and watch a movie. After collecting the required information, and a short wander the cache was soon in hand. TFTC.

Arrived at GZ. Admired the art work and gather the required info with a few peak hour punters minding their own business. Tested the final...14km....mmmm. Think I made a mistake, recheck of figures cast doubt on my basic adding up, not good for a maths teacher. Final redone much closer this time. Off to collect a couple of other local caches and then back to the final which was fairly close to our accommodation. Neat little hide but as mentioned by others was a little damp. Log signed and returned. A nice little cache thanks. TFTC
TFTC. Unfortunately the log is completely wet and it is impossible to log on it.
The qns certainly make you look more closely here and you can appreciate the detailing. We calculated our GZ and trotted off, made the find then started the whole "I thought you had the pen" exchange. As a result we just took a photo of the vintage cache container and the rather damp log. Hope that's ok. TFTC!
Very enjoyable puzzle around a cool sculpture. No problem finding all of the clues, and a nice niggle free find at gz. Thanks for the cache Felix!
Solved this puzzle after an info gathering mission to Wellington in early Feb and completed the find on a brief overnight visit. Love the sculpture. TFTC and Puzzle Felix!
After flying up from Dunedin this morning and gone on a ride on rented bicycles it was time to look for somewhere for tea. I just happened to glance at My GPS and realised we were very close to this so I did the sums while Mr i-gotit checked out the nearby movie theatre. The final was a nice short stroll away.
Gathered all the needed info at the very cool Tripod sculpture, with eltee291, and then we headed over and found the cache shortly after. Signed the log and replaced as found. That is a really cool piece of art. Loved working on this puzzle. Also loved eating dinner across the street from the cache! Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache!
Quick find this afternoon with hingis20 after we gathered all the required information at the Tripod sculpture. That is an awesome piece of art. On our way back to Auckland and staying overnight in Wellington. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
Nice fun quick one after dinner outside the restaurant I was at - and GZ turned out to be opposite my accommodation! TFTC!
Fun little mystery cache for a Sunday night. Picked up cache at final location in the dark by reaching straight for it. TFTC!
This was our first puzzle cache attempt. Stoked to have gotten some runs on the board!!

During our stay in Wellington we strolled through the city and found the big Tripod. After we collected the informations we headed to the final coordinates and found it successfully.
The logbook is more than full and there was an extra place paper where we found place to log.
TFTC . mosmoni together with redhead and capt'n mo.

Found on a brisk spring night after solving the mystery while having desert at Sweet Mother's Kitchen. Log book was a bit full and damp so added our name to the additional temporary log. TFTC!
Quick solve at coordinates. After a short walk cache was in hand but log is tricky to get out and could be updated. Signed kb no date. TFT(weta)C.
Cool little puzzle, nice sculpture and easy find. No space left on logbook so suggest next cachet bring a spare sheet of paper!
This sculpture is amazing right in the middle of Wellington every time we come we stop and look at it. Made the calculations and then off for a walk to find cache. Had to use beer opening technique to get into cache because cache tricky to open. TFTC
We figured out all the answers then made our way to gz in the dark. a quick find. great sculpture here in the middle of the city. Left Havelock North at 5am this morning picking up jordiporsche on the way. An overnight stay in welly to grab as many caches as we can including all the kiwi geo art puzzle's. Log signed as b&p.Tftc Felix!. Find # 3228
#435. I lived in Wellington in 2013 and always meant to get this one, as it was one of the closest unfound caches to where I lived. I don't know why I never got it, I think as I was new to caching then, I was scared of these "Unknown Caches". Since I'm back in Wellington this week, I thought I'd finally grab it. The numbers took very little time to find; I had parked my car right outside the published coordinates, got the info, retrieved the cache, and got back to my car in less than 10 minutes!
A very easy find at GZ - thank you very much!

Thanks for this nice one!

I had to drop my son nearby, so thought I use the time wisely . I had solved this one a while ago, but didn't have time to go to GZ until today. No problems at GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC!!!

Originally had the coords wrong and ended up on Caroline street but after checking we got it in the end. Now off to fro yo! Tftc!
Nice recognition of our movie industry Felix; found puzzle and cache easily, thanks!
