Logs
Well, we actually found this cache today when looking for the new cache placed here!!! Will attach photo when I can get it to work lol
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.

This area seems to be undergoing a real face lift and I note the last few logs have been unsuccessful. Suspect this cache has been disturbed.
The long weekend seemed to be the perfect opportunity for caching and Burge and I were at it again tonight. Unfortunately we couldn't locate this one. There were a surprising amount of muggles around at this time of the morning too!
Didn;t find this one today - too many mugglets to look carefully though there appears to have been some gardening done around GZ recently.
Too many muggles. Need to come back later

Another after dark cache, took a little time and ended up being distracted by another out of the ordinary object! Eventually found ad signed log. 1 is wet and 1 is dry. Have tried to protect the dry one as much as possible
29/08/12 2:44 PM Find #1810
took a bit to locate the cache, but nice park to stop and have a cup of tea while we searched
took a bit to locate the cache, but nice park to stop and have a cup of tea while we searched
There was no-one in the park as we jumped off our bikes and started to search - or should I say while I started to search and someone else headed for the fantastic swing - and then interrupted my searching with a demand that I push the swing!!!
Anyway, eventually I spotted the cache at 1:10pm and was signing the log as a hoard of mainly junior muggles invaded the playground. Fortunately they were well occupied as I replaced the cache and got out of there quick.
thanks musta9

Had to wait for a muggle-child on the swing before attempting to search nearby. This gave me time to look at the lovely new park, before I had cache in hand. Thanks
Second attempt here - last time too many muggles enjoying this cool new playground. Geokid 3 and friend very happy to return and play on the rope swing. TFTC
We took the geobeagles to a couple of parks today for post lunch walkies. They always like to lend a hand when we eat so we don't get obese. Not many muggles about as it was starting to get quite cold and damp. Thanks to the cache description and the hint I easily spotted something 'out of place' in a bush. I retrieved the small container and took a seat at a nearby picnic table, which looked very new. There were 2 logs in the container - one was damp but the other one was quite dry, and had probably been put in the container by a previous finder (thanks). So I signed the dry log at 5:20pm and then replaced the cache where I found it.
TNLN. Thanks musta9 for the cache and for bringing us to another lovely little urban park. We had a nice stroll back to the car, which we had parked about 200m away so we could enjoy the area. The beagles really enjoyed meeting several other dogs along the way. [^]

Find # 339 logged at GZ at 2:23pm, during cache sweep of area on foot. Managed to sign wet log. T4TC!

I must admit I did feel a little exposed here.
The neighbours were home but were otherwise busy doing other things.
A little searching managed to bring up the hide.
The log is certainly wet.

A little park beside a canal. The log was very very wet but sadly did not have the hours to lay it out in the sun to dry off.
Found on my second visit after trying and failing at night. They have just re-modelled the playground so this would be a good one for those with little Geo-kids.
Thanks musta9.

Made a quick find here, though I do hate having to search this kind of grass for caches! Now I regularly wear gloves - helps protect from the arachnids too. TFTC
Nice quick find. Tom Tom wanted to take me further up the bike path and get me to walk, so I ignored it and headed to the closest point. It was on the wrong side of the creek, but fortunately there was a bridge, so all was good. Thanks for the cache.
We were a bit alarmed when we approached and there were some people sitting on the seat. In the end, it didn't matter at all. Found it without anyone knowing. THanks for the cache.
Quick find after getting distracted by the clue, co0ords are great, and so is the hide.
Thanks again musta9

out caching with the team.... sometime you need to do more than just look under the object. sometimes it pays to look in. TFTC
Found @ 3:34pm, find # 1290.
We made our way to GZ and after looking in all the wrong spots, we finally found it in the last place we looked.
Thanks to musta9 for this cache

Out for an extended lunch break, though I would pick up a cache or two on the way. Quick find
Third for the day on a mission to find my 1000th cache overall. This was quite a difficult find for me. I was expecting it to be elsewhere and because the clue didn't exactly make sense, it was even more of a challenge! In the end it was in a spot that I should have looked at before. It is a nice spot, but the hide is a little bit strange. Anyway thanks for bringing us here musta9
Found @ 1525 after being given 'time off for good behaviour' from my nephew's school award ceremony. Still wrecked after the drive from Canberra last night/this morning, it was good to slip off into the fresh air. A lone Muggle with pram was camped nearby, so I shifted into my guise of 'AmethystPig - Amateur Photographer' and proceeded to intently take photos of anything I could - but particularly of things 'of interest' around GZ. The cache was soon located, and there was natural cover to hide the retrieve and return. The log was still damp with a small amount of water in the bottom of the container (which I shook out as best I could) but I managed to make my mark. TNLNSL-TFTC musta9.
Found together with Square Pegs. Had a chat about the fun of geocaching, then off to a nearby kids birthday party. TFTC.
Came back for another attempt today, with StephanieK as a good reason to be there! We had the pleasure of meeting a fellow cacher at GZ, when we ran into Flukeywife. We stopped for a quick chat about things geocaching, before I returned to the playground with StephanieK. Thanks for the cache. The log may need a little TLC as it is damp but still signable.
Not an instant find by any means and I think I was lucky to see this so soon after getting to GZ. Part of a short speedy cache run in these parts. TFTC
It took a little while to locate as I suspect we were all looking for a slightly different hide style. Eventually Maccamob discovered the hide.
They have made a bit of a mess of Gardiners Creek here!
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks, Robmc.
Found at 3:13 PM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob and Robmc. Not as quick for us as we don't like those nasty spikey bushes which pricked David for his efforts.
Thanks king6475
Thanks king6475
Found by Mary & David, with pprass and robmc, at 1510. This one took a little longer to find than our average for the day. There was no muggle problem, just a lot of possibilities. Finally looked from just the right angle and there it was. Not so quick, but still fun. Our thanks yet again to musta9

Happy Australia Day. The geo-kids played for ages on the play ground, good name for the cache. TFTC.
an easy find although a muggle mother and child playing on the play equipment slowed me down. luckily they quickly left and I was able to grab the cache.
After work this afternoon I had no reason to go straight home so decided to do a few caches.
Last cache for the afternoon just before the rain.
Parked on the other side of the drain and walked over. It was not long till I had the cache in hand.

It was neither quick or fun on our previous visit but all was revealed today. TFTC.
With the end of the year looming, and LouiseAnn and I both being close to a milestone, we both decided we should try and get those milestones before the end of 2011. Late today LouiseAnn rang and convinced me we should head out for and find some caches as usual the discussion turned to where to go. Surprisingly, when we looked at the map, there were quite a few caches in my local area that neither of us had found. I guess since I had been a bit slack since finishing my personal cache a day challenge, but after at least one cache find every day for a year, I felt I deserved a bit of a rest! Since we were really out simply get to our milestones, todays caching adventure was named “It’s all about the numbers" spontaneous afternoon caching adventure. This was find number 8 for the day. After a nice walk across the creek from the car we waited for a family to move on from the park before we approached the GZ and grab the cache. Thanks for the cache, musta9.
Today’s late afternoon, unexpected caching trip turned out to be very successful and I passed my 1100 cache finds. Pathfinder24 and I are both keen to hit a couple of different caching milestones before the end of the year, so we needed to pick up a few caches. Since Pathfinder had finished his cache in a day run, quite a few caches seem to have appeared around his place, so we decided to clear a few out today. This was our eighth find. Parked across the creek and walked towards the cache, after a family playing in the park moved on, we found the cache quickly. Thanks for the cache king6475
We found this cache today at 3:30pm as the 6th of 13 on our afternoon Burwood or Bust caching jaunt. We enjoyed crossing the bridge over the very fast flowing creek on route to this one. Thanks from D,H & A B-A.
Found at 5:45 with e-facit, as some previous logs have suggested the caches name is deceiving in nature, however we did find it with help of a jumper to not get pricked the log was pretty soggy unfortunately so it will need replacing TFTC
Had a bit of a look around, but the cache location is totally overlooked, and near a playground to boot. Sorry, not a place I'm prepared to search.
5.05pm Out and about with 80 degrees with a well planned list by Mrs 80 in hand. The weather not on our side today we have a cleared spot. This is our 4th for the day and thought is would be a simple pickup by its name. Boy we were in for a shock. The clue did not help at all and none of the bushes were to nice to look through. After all of us gave the area a good going over the degrees phoned a friend. With guidenance the cache was found. The co ords we some 10 metres out so you will need to widen that circle to make that find.
Now to get out of the rain.
Now to get out of the rain.
Found at 5.05pm Had planned an afternoon out with xambo4u and when the rain cleared we thought what luck and headed out. This was our fifth stop and the cache was neither quick or fun. Firstly as we parked the heavens opened so we had to sit and wait for the rain to ease. Then the clue said the cache was hidden in a bush so we looked for and at the bushes - no joy. Checked previous logs and took the PAF option - most helpful - found it wasn't in a bush but in the green spikey yukka like stuff - SL and headed back to the car to dry off. We don't like caches in spikey stuff - needle in a haystack stuff.
Found in the company of lochb and coley_babee.
We were hoping for a quick driveby, in and out!
But in the end we almost left out of frustration, before reading some of the logs.
Lining up the park bench does help indeed.
The 'bush' isn't a nice one to place ones hands inside... It prickles!
Thanks king6475.

This wasn't a very quick find, Our coordinates had us a little off...
we were thinking of giving up till we read in the logs that Earthbound Chief's comment had helped a few people. It did the same for us.

The coordinates were spot on - but the hint didn't really help. A previous log (line up with the bench) was much more helpful. TFTC
After giving up a few days ago, decided to come back after a found log and coordinate update. New coords led us straight to the bush we had fruitlessly searched in, and there it was right before our eyes. Obviously wasn't our day before. TFTC.

#920 Finally found this confusing cache (after getting a heads up from a prior finder). Co-ords out, hint no help, catch/cache?, nothing "on it that seems to be out of place" - I guess something may've been there originally. Thanks king6475.
We sat in the shade and waited for the workers to leave but as with Laurenda - no joy. The hint is useless - all it tells you is that the cache is somewhere down that side of the park - may as well be no hint at all because the various coordinates already tell us that. We will watch with interest any other efforts.
Spent far too long looking for this today (felt rather conspicuous to neighbours but at least no-one was in the playground). Plenty of plants to look in but only 1 or 2 bushes, and certainly none with anything unusual on it that I could see. Hint didn't help at all, and then I see from the logs the concensus is the co-ords are out (curse that tree cover). Reluctantly I left defeated. Thanks anyway king6475.
Well I can I honestly say? I had an easy muggle free afternoon which of course lead me to finding the cache approx 8 mt's from the listed coords. It was due to the fact I decided to expand my search zone when I accidentally looked where I had no intentions of looking
I suppose the tree cover doesnt help with getting an accurate reading therefore I decided to take a waypoint average with my Garmin and they differ a little from the previous finders....

Found, and my, isn't this muggle central? Muggles from the north heading south, muggles from the south heading north, muggles from the west heading east, and muggles from the east heading west.
PLUS the muggles who come to the playground only metres from GZ and the house overlooking it.
Then there're the coordinates, which as others including Earthbound Chief have noted are somewhat inaccurate. His recommendations re GZ's location in reference to an article near GZ are spot on.
On my first (night) attempt I dared only use a small torch, and gave up. Today I came back, and ended up using the "phone a friend" option in a muggle break to locate the cache.
The South coordinate is OK; my measurement of the East coordinate today was E 145° 06.101 with a (claimed ... I'd take a pinch of salt) precision of 2m.

No muggle problems but needed the log of the chief to find it. Nothing much fun or quick about it, low investment cache with bad coords.
Thanks but please fix the coordinates. Finding a dog turd right there with it didn't highten my enjoyment so sorry if this log is a bit down market.

Spent more time waiting for the muggles to leave, again the middle aged bloke hanging around a playground is not a good look. So got to GZ when the park emptied but after a couple of minutes, more muggles so had a quick look and eh ads, that must be it as it was very obvious to my caching eye. Recovered then slunk away for the log signing and a subtle return with the camo returned to at least provide a bit more cover. The paint camo is nearly all gone by the way. Thanks to king6475 for this one
Caching to clear the Ashburton caches today. Not so quick this was.. I stood awhile trying to figure out where the cache was. Searched everywhere about GZ but no cache. It took me 10 mins before I read the logs and thanks to EB's log that help narrowed my search down. Found it immediately after. TFTC king6475

Arrived at GZ today with nobody about, unfortunately my GPSR was all over the shop and I could not lock closer then 15m. eventually I checked the clue and was able to get the rough spot to search and came up with the goods in a few minutes, after waiting for a short time for a couple of muggles to pass, i was able to replace the cache.
Did Cycling_guy steal my Icon? Or did I steal his?
I think My PC is playing tricks, as Cycling guy now has a st kilda icon)

My gps could not make its mind up and I went round in circles, thankfully Crazy! Nat Girl spotted the hide for us. Thanks king6475 for the cache.
Just as advertised - quick and fun - made even better/easier by the lack of muggles at the playground here, or passing by Left one of my personal path-tags - TFTC
Playground, houses over looking site, bushes to wonder around in!!!!!!!!!!!
After enjoying the Valley Letterbox series with Listmaker, we teamed up for just one more. As I was looking around wondering where the cache could be, she walked up to the hide and pulled it out!
No muggles on the playground on this wet and windy morning. Spotted the obvious "not quite right" giveaway while walking up. Signed log and replaced in between the muggle walking traffic. TFTC.
It sure was a quick fun cache today. I visited here last week but felt too visible to conduct a search. Came back today with Alansee, and had a vague memory about a bench (see Earthbound Chief's log) which turned out to be very helpful.
I was surprised when the cache appeared in no time.
Thanks for the cache, king6475.

This was my 2nd attempt at this one with the previous attempt during a night time cache run. Had no luck then so decided to return in daylight. Had to wait out some Muggles so as not tp risk the cache. Was worried about the house that look over this small park with sounds of running and jumping heard coming from inside. The coordinates were out by a guess of around 10m. The previous log by Earthbound Chief was quite helpful in narrowing my search grid, with the cache found within 1 mintue. TFTC king6475.

J&MMelb went off to watch a friends semi-final soccer match so GMelb was out on his own today. It was pretty cold so there was only 1 teenage boy with a dog at the playground but he soon left so GMelb was able to find the cache with relative ease.
He did feel a bit exposed due to the closeby house window and cubby house overlooking the hide however thankfully there was no-one in either those places. TNLNSL

This was our second visit to the cache after finding the new one nearby.
We spent a good 15 minutes before I decided to PAF. We then quickly found this infuriating cache.
I did a quick waypoint check and got s 37 51.635 e 145 06.104 but my epe was 8 metres.
Future seekers will want to be level with the park bench to conduct your search

The co-ords lead to many likely hiding spots and the clue is crap. Bit disappointing really.
