First hunt of the day and a resounding DNF ... It looks like there have been some earth-works around GZ recently. I expanded my search a bit, but only half-heartedly as my GPSr kept taking me back to the same spot.
Will send you some photos of my GZ AmstradKid. If the cache is at my GZ, it is probably well and truly buried. I will be back if you confirm that the cache is not where I think it is. TFTH.

Found cache in plain view. Must have been disturbed. Hid again and left. Series complete. TFTC
Was a bit concerned upon appoach to GZ as BMX style jumps have been set up within meters and lots of associated rubbish was also in the area. At GZ look through the numerous hiding spots 3 time before finally spotting the Bug! The cointainers in this series are cool and funny [^].

Have been wanting to do the bugs series for awhile and seeing as though I had nothing else planned this arvo, I managed to convince hubby to do a few caches with me.
We loved the walk, very relaxing, except when we had to walk thru the long grass as a bit paranoid about snakes now that the weather is warming up. We never saw any, so all was good.
Finding the scorpion was fine as no long grass to contend with......nice bugs.

Don't know how this series had slipped under my radar until today. After doing some pretty heavy trekking up through the hills, thought we would finish off our day with this fun and light hearted series. Loved them all - some were easy while others were a bit trickier, but got them all in the end. This one, the last we tried, was the hardest to find. Thanks AmstradKid
Was in the area so have changed the log book. Took some finding very tricky AmstradKid
What a search we had on this 1 after almost giving up giving 1 last heave and kicking around with our feet we must of kicked it from its hiding place will put back in the most appropriate hiding place, thanks for a great series, also need a new log only 1 spot left on it
GZ does not fail; just look where scorpions normally hide. Thanks for all these brilliant hides, AmstradKid.
I was in the area today doing the AP series' and after finding 032, I noticed there was a big gap before 033, and this series filled in that gap nicely, so I crossed the road and walked over to find this cache.
Straight over the field might not have been the best option at times, but it wasn't too bad and I was making a lot of noise. At one point a small rodent-type creature bounded away from me very quickly.
At GZ I made a quick and easy find, which was a great way to start the Bugs series.
Thanks for the cache and series AmstradKid!

Found this one just in time batteries ran out so that was the end of our days caching. Thanks for another great series and a walk enjoyed by all a favourite from us.
Easy find once you ignore the gps. I really need to learn how to use them better lol. this makes my 80th find.
[:(!] Went with geowife on a late afternoon of caching, arrived at GZ and had the bug in hand in a matter of minutes SL TFTC
After completing the nearby Tour de Tonkin series we headed here and completed these buggy caches. We didn't have any problems locating the cache, although we did appear to be on the wrong side of the water a couple of times while getting to GZ. Another nicely done series of microcaches AmstradKid. Thanks for the hunt.
How I missed this one on 2 other visits I don't know, must have been having a blank
Moment or maybe it was a.day! Nice easy find thanks for the series Amstradkid I've given you
One of my favourite points. TFTHides.

Continued on from the previous Bugs, crossing the road and into a bit more rugged countryside. There was dad and lad muggles on a go-cart roaring about the area but my searching area was mostly out of their sight. Spent quite a bit of time examining all the nooks and crannies and was about to give up when a piece of the tail caught my eye. Major muscles had to come into play and with a final heave was only just able to extract the poor totally flattened blighter, along with me directing nasty thoughts to the previous hiders. [:(!] Replaced the Scorpion in a nearby and much more extractable hidey hole.
Thanks for another hunt AmstradKid.

Out caching after the morning 11-11-11 event.
Still with Team Machman-FelixII-Lbjezza
Mrs Felix drove the car to this one. Hmm which side of the drain do we go. Yep you guessed it, the wrong side. Hmm trudge through the sludge or retreat and go around. Nooo the boys say and find a way to cross. Well Mrs Felix was watching from the wrong side when Mr Felix started to perform a 'dance'. What on earth is going on over there!
Sure enough he had located the cache in the most obvious spot for a scorpion but right on top of the cache was an ENORMOUS red back spider. So he was stamping on the cache/ spider! Luckily the cache survived for us to sign the log, can't say the same for the red back. So be wary if you are following us in case there are any relatives hanging around the cache, maybe out of sight this time????
Thoroughly enjoyed finding these 5 quick grabs this afternoon. Glad they were mostly park n' grabs after our long walk doing the event published VC series.

Out caching after the morning 11-11-11 event with FelixII-Lbjezza.
Once again we found ourselves on the wrong side of the stream, but soon uncovered the Cache in a very appropriate
hiding place.
The Cache had also found a very dangerous friend..... (see log below) !!!
However I am afraid his life expectancy was very short lived as it came in contact with sole of Mr Felix's boot !!!
You will be pleased to know The Cache did survive to see another day.
Great little series and variety of bugs.

There was a ute hooning around through the mud on approach to gz. After avoiding it we carefully made our way to gz and made a quick find in the obvious location for a scorpion to hide.
Searched and searched but couldn't find it. Found two others in the series today but not this or green spider.
When we arrived at GZ which turned out to be a collection of rocks we searched over under and rolled some of them over them but could not find a scorpion, we then searched around the tree with the same results
After walking along the path and doing the other caches to the east I arrived back at the car and drove up the streets on the south side of the stream to near the cache. I soon found that the steam was wider here and I had to be on the north side. I could see that there was a track on that side so drove back to the road in and then drove down the track to near the cache. I wouldn't recommend this if you are not 4wd as the middle bit of the track is slippery clay after the recent rain. Arrived at GZ and couldn't find the cache. I looked at the previous logs that said the coords were accurate so tried again but still couldn't see the cache so widened the search and then came back to GZ. The third time I was looking from slightly different angles and spied the cache finally.
Thanks AmstradKid for the series.
Thanks AmstradKid for the series.
Today, I had a couple of spare hours from dropping youngest Geoson at work, only a short, 15 Km detour, and I could clear this series. Arrived at the GZ, and searched with little luck, reading the logs showed that other finders found the co ordinates accurate, but I could not find the bug. About to give up, thought I would attempt one more spot, and there was the Scorpion. Log removed signed replaced and the bug returned to its "natural" hiding spot. Thanks Amstradkid [^]
Found one these the other day and brought hubby back with the the geokids. Loved it

We had a very nice walk through this area today following along a little behind Trevared, dogs and family. Enjoyed the series greatly and reccommend it as suitable for the younger Geocachers (who love insects). TFTC
Hate to admit to a DNF!! when the other 4 were found easily. There were only so many places that scorpians could hide and I couldn't find the right one. On the way back met Jacaro44 again and told him I had a DNF. Later sat outside on the patio where my son was staying feeling annoyed with myself at not having finished the series Jacaro44 pulled up and told me I was in the right place and he had a find. Went back for a second look but still couldn't find. This is one of those caches that will BUG ME until I can claim a find. Had a great time though and thanks Amstradkid.
Day 69 .. Numero Uno........
Back a second time, this time better luck! nicely hidden, Im sure I checked there last week!!

2TF WOO HOO OK this did have me going for a while but it could only be where the GPSr told me, hmmmm started to think like a Scorpion, I liked this series, the Geo Kiddies will love this( I like AmstraKids thinking). Again it was a bit wet and slightly muddy getting there(just have to pick the high dry bits). SL TFTC
*FTF* one Bug down four to go!!!
I was at home mowing the lawn and came inside for lunch and saw the ‘Bugs Series’ so decided to take an extended lunch break. Word out on the trail was that AmstradKid was not doing any more series; just goes to show you can’t believe all that trail talk.
I can highly recommend the ‘Buds Series’ although if you don’t like big creepy crawly then you should give it a wide berth.
Thanks AmstradKid.
