What a great view. The younger Grebren found the cache after traversing the tricky path, after which the older Grebren could get there via the easy path. TFTC!
Nice easy find could have almost found this one whilst at work at the big open cut

I was spying the weather and saw an opportunity to duck out from work for a cache. i had this one on the list and not long after leaving arrived at the cache location. At first i thought this would be a terrain 3.5 but after heading past the cache location i saw a small carpark place with bitumen and a great view over the open cut mine.
I was tempted to get closer but this was not the 4wd and I decided to play safe. It was a quick walk to the cache GZ and with some agile standing I was able to sign the cache and replace it before i slid a metre back down.
Our sincere thanks to Nautilus7497 for the cache and a great viewing spot that deserves a favorite, really enjoyed this one.

A guy & a girl - 13 Towns - 500 kms - 60 caches
September Stroll was born earlier in the week with an idea hatched to head in a loop towards Sale starting from Moe. Heading north up to Heyfield, across to Stratford then down to Sale before arriving home late, it was a magnificent spring day to enjoy East Gippsland.
We parked above GZ and made our way, Trent eyeing off the suspicious pile of sticks. He made the retrieve and signed the log. We took advantage of the high nature of the area to take a few pics!!!
Thanks for the cache Nautilus7497!!!

No pen to sign log. logged with permission from Nautilus7497. Cache found and in good condition. A pen would be a handy addition as the friend who was introducing me to geocaching did not tell me I needed to bring a pen. Who doesn't have a pen in their car?
Haha had muggle men tell me there was a better view on the other side of the fence, so had to climb the damn thing and take photos lol. The mine is flooded and looks great. Can imagine going around in a tinny. Cache found while the muggles took their own pics and spoke animatedly about the coal seam. Quickly signed and re hid.
found it today at 2pm, on the way back from the Footy game of the boys (boys lost there first game of the season).
last time I stopped here was after the mine was flooded last year, what a different view today.

Quick find for number 60!! Nice view. Checked out the old hill climb track. TFTC.
1619 It certainly shows how much the mine has grown when they have to redirect a main road. Also interesting to see that they've pumped most of the flood water out now. Interesting spot. TFTC Nautilus7497
Attempted this one from the wrong entrance first. Drove round to the other entrance and walked up to GZ. Great views and spot. Would never have stopped here for a look without your cache. thanks Nautilus.
Wow! Such a nice view I never knew about!! Iv lived in Morwell for 20+ years and never been to this area! Nice hide!!
Awesome little adventure to get to this one, lovely view once we got there, just on dusk so the lights looked so pretty. TFTC!
Managed to get the car within 10m of this one.
Another random abandon uncovered.

Wow. Despite having lived in the area almost all of my life, hadn't realized the mine was so close to Morwell. I remember the old drive-in, the old tip and the hill climb circuit on this road. All of them just memories now. TFTC Sonia and the memories it brought back. (ps. There was a drive-in long before the Sunday market)
Enjoyed the view from this Random Abandoned site. Not sure we followed your suggestions of the best way to get to gz but enjoyed it just the same. SL TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 1715. We wondered what the subject of this cache was when we stopped at the nearest point on the road. When we found a parking spot nearby with better access, it all became clear. Quite different to others we've done so far. Good views at GZ too. Our thanks of course to Nautilus Soni+Dayns.
was about to give up on this one and thought i would try one more spot. hey presto. TFTC
Found at 16:30. Out and about with GeoDad on his 60th birthday. Parked the car and enjoyed the views of the big hole on the short stroll to GZ with the cache quickly found. Thanks
Amazing views over the open cut mine, presumably some of it where the town used to be. Nice quick find. Thanks for the views and the cache.
A very interesting view of the mine from here, and a most unusual cache container

Thx. For the extra info. P, Was wondering if the 'hill climb' was still happening, glad it hasn't moved too far ..
Found it on the way back to Lakes Entrance
I had said to myself that I would get R A's series on the weekend before heading home.
This site used be the Morwell Hill Climb Club which has now relocated (due to the expansion of the Yallourn Open Cut) to Bill Shultz Rd. Haunted Hills near Newborough

Found while out enjoying the beautiful weather for riding today. Much better to reach this hide coming up the hill as stated by owner. Terrific view into the open cut from GZ. Another one off my list for today. TNLN Thanks again to team Nautilus for the work on this series.

*FTF* with Kellyhaunts on a late night run. We first tried to approach this from the road side and failed. Getting towards GZ we where skeptical we where in the right place since a terrain rating of 1.5 did not suit the location. Once the GPS was getting close to zero we spotted a possible location and there is was. TFTC
