I loved this one my kids liked climbing on the rocks, at the start it was a bit challenging ,but then we found it.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 74 - Koorda to Moora via Cadoux, Wongan Hills and New Norcia. After a very wet night there were still showers and downpours all day. Each one impacting different parts of the day. There were plenty of roads that were not main roads on today's travels. I ventured to two side areas in the wet and had a great reward. The detour to New Norcia for the Labs there was an amazing experience. I had no idea it was such and architectural surprise. I made my way to Moora and after a few outlying caches in the car, I set up at the local caravan park and headed into town on my eScooter. Plenty of interesting thing to see and do. Amongst the rain I ventured out for an evening drink at a local and than back to the van for dinner. Tomorrow is a tun to the north, maybe it will get warmer > I am not so sure. I expect it will still be wet. After a quick stop at the shop for a morning tea snack, I was out on this mountain of concrete blocks. It took a full lap to get to the right spot, but once there, the cache was found and signed as the rain started again. Thanks for the cache Clarke Adventurers48394.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2018 El Dorado Guatavita Compass Rose A#376**Albida**
Dowerin last night, now heading north. A rather average type of day with wind and rain threatening. Rain has kept away here, an interesting location too. This took me a little search but was straightforward in the end when looking at the right spot. Thanks for the cache.
Found with e.gregory1 during a trip from Adelaide to north-western Western Australia and return. After camping out along the Great Northern Highway last night we continued our travels finding a selection of caches along the way. Stopped here for a short break as we were passing through Cadoux, before heading on our way . Thanks for the cache Clarke Adventurers!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. We camped near the Great Northern Highway between Paynes Find and Wubin last night, then continued our journey on a rather circuitous route towards home, finding caches along the way.The cache was found in good order. Thanks Clarke Adventurers for the cache.
Thanks for this one. Found with Caperdoodle 2 on our Wheatbelts wander. First time in Cadoux.
What bad luck to have such a big earthquake hit a little town.it see so be the towns claim to fame though now ( any attraction is better than no attraction) cache in good order. Tftc
Just out for a drive from Dowerin, decided to stop and see if there was a cache here, saw that there was and made a nice easy find.TFTCH
Gotcha Been out to Ballidu for a few days#ballidugravel23Now making our way to Albany TFTC
Arrived in town late afternoon and decided to camp here tonight. Quick find at gz as the only muggles are the thousands of parrots stealing wheat across the road. Tftc
TFTC. Cache needs maintenance as the container is breaking. Sorry I had nothing to replace it.
Camping at Pithara speedway overnight we headed off again with the dogs, cat and caravan final destination tonight Mukinbudin of course detouring of the direct route to gather a few smiles. Thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining caches.
On our way home from a maintenance run north of Wubin. Taking in the countryside and it’s glory of new green crops and canola gold! A quick stop here and we noted all the fault lines as we came into town from the north side. Quite a disaster site. In its day, Thanks for the hide and history here Clarke Adventures.
After doing a maintenance run we started caching our way home. This was the next one on our hit list. We parked right near gz and started our search, it took a few minutes before we looked in the right spot. We quickly added our names to your log and returned your cache back to its place of hiding. An interesting bit of history.

On my birthday weekend we decided to do geocaching and adventure very unplanned way. We spined the bottle and drove about an hour to the direction it points and do geocaching. Cadox was our eighth stop. Tftc!
Out in the Wheatbelt again for the second consecutive weekend. This weekend the plan was to attack a number of towns in the North Eastern Wheatbelt and attend the FOTT event in Minnivale. It was a terrific weekend. Thank you to all the COs involved in providing entertainment this weekend.
Had trouble initially pronouncing Cadoux, but have since learned how to say it! Cheers Clarke Adventurers!

Nice quick find - good place to stop before turning back towards the camp.

Off to see the wildflowers and decided to take a diffent route this time which brought us to several new places and also to the lovely town of Cadoux… Cache was soon in hand but we certainly took time to reflect upon how devastating that earthquake would have been and to see this mass of limestone concrete as a result.. Not to mention the other damage it did.. Thanks for bringing us here and having a much needed pit stop and break.. log signed and cache returned as found..
Stopped here for a cuppa on our way home from our Goldfields-Wheatbelt roaming. The logbook was damp. Dried best we could but may need attention. TFTC
Find 8 of 19 on day 4 of our road trip, today transitioning from the rocky goldfields of Mount Magnet through the wheatbelt, finishing in Mukinbudin.
Put all our LGA eggs in one basket and happily made a quick find at an interesting info plaque.

On a road trip up to the Mid West. Today, we drove to Dowerin, Cadoux, down to Cunderdin and on to Quairading where we stopped for the night. We enjoyed the variety of hides, particularly those that were placed on or near signs that depicted the history of the area. Thank you to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.
Find #4022 for us today.

We were hoping to get fuel in Cadoux but shop closed. Made a quick find of the cache and limped on to Koorda. Thanks CampbellFamily
Quick find..and never thought I'd see Cadoux. can remember feeling the State Library sway when I was there at the time of the earthquake.
With the weather a little cooler we decided the weather was perfect for another road-trip through the wheatbelt... This was our first stop on our tour & Master 8 made the quick find here

We decided to stop at the recreation centre for the night and walked the short distance here to claim this cache. How great is the town to allow RVs to camp here. $5pn pp with use of power, water, toilets & showers. Well done Cadoux.
Found this cold and wet afternoon on my ‘geo detour’ from Kalgoorlie to Perth. Another LGA marked off the list. That’s an earthquake I didn’t know about. Thanks for placing this geo
We headed out into the country to get away from the weather and collect a few smilies, an 800km return trip which took us to some beautiful and amazing places, happy to say we came up trumps here and drove away with a smilie TFTC

Our trek through the wheat belt of WA continues as we pick up a selection of caches that represent the different LGAs as we go through. It was a hot day today, but the success rate was high, so we were happy to log our achievements along with ilook4geo.
This was an interesting place and the container was soon found amongst the rubble left by the 1979 earthquake. Thank you to Clarke Adventurers for placing this cache and reminding us of what nature can do.

Day 127 of our 366 day straight challenge. Road trip to Koorda with BradyBunch18.

We had a free day and the weather was perfect so decided on a short caching trip to Koorda. Thanks for the cache Clarke Adventurers we had fun looking for it and learnt a thing or two too.
Wow, sound bad one... Thanks for shared with me. Thanks for the cache and hunt
With a new GC.com challenge recently published that required the jinta team to find caches in another 21 Western Australia counties, we decided it was time for a big road trip day. Mrs jinta and I packed up the car and headed away from home at about 4.30am with our sights set on a 800+ kilometre round trip going through Cunderdin, Tammin, Kellerberrin, Trayning, Kununoppin, Nungarin, Mukinbudin, Bencubbin, Koorda, Cadoux and then home through Goomalling. It was a fantastic day and we spent about 14 and a half hours tripping around grabbing both GC and GCA caches.
A big shout out to all the CO's whose caches we found, the Wheatbelt was once again a fantastic place to visit and the weather was on our side with the temps maxing out at only 38 degrees.
A nice hide in a cool location. TFTC

Day 15 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. After a quiet night on the farm at Wyalkatchem, we are exploring the surrounding towns.
Bery interesting rubble! I wasn’t in Australia in 1979 but in another earthquake-prone place, NZ.
Good find by megawat60 here! TFTC!

We stopped here for a coffee and took the opportunity to grab this cache. It had me searching for a while, I couldn't even find the clue but then I spotted it and found the cache soon after. I can vaguely remember when this one hit/

Headed back up to Geraldton for another caching run (third time this year). We started off by picking up as many caches as we could in the wheatbelt on the first day before arriving in Geraldton. The next day we headed up to port Gregory and Kalbarri and the highlight of the day would have to be be the pink lakes in port Gregory. Day 3 saw us caching in Geraldton picking up some we missed last time and clearing up a few of our DNFS here before adding some more DNFS to the list. Day 4 we headed off to mount magnet picking up some caches along the way till we arrived there. I must say the caches in mount magnet were quite tricky to find and it was also a stinking hot day so we didn't get to find all the caches we were hoping to find there. The last day we cached along the coast on the way home. Once again it was stinking hot and we missed doing a lot of the caches we hoped to find plus the flies were driving us crazy but we still got to visit some great places. Most of the caches we looked for we did find and we came across some very sneaky well made cache containers along the way. Thanks to all the CO,s for placing there caches for us and all the other geocachers to find.
I distinctly remember what I was doing when this quake happened....cooking cupcakes...life turned to a weird sort of haze and I recall my dad yelling "get outside or under a doorframe"......there were a few small aftershocks and I've always kept this place in my mind. TFTC.
Having a planned wknd away with kyzabra and krabiboy we left perth bright and early at 4.30, this was to be a big first day of finds and klms. Getting towards the end of the day and keen to get somewhere near Bencubbin to camp this was a good quick grab. Interesting place with no doubt alot of history. Tftc
Today was a huge day. 14 hours, 625km, and 27 finds.
This trip out had been a long time in the planning.
Krabiboy and I had hatched a plan and probably changed it about 10 times. dallyho joined us, final plans were set, and off we went
Krabiboy went straight past this and I spotted it. A wrestle ensued and I came out victorious.
Clarke Adventurers - Kyzabra found your cache Rubble Rouser . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Kyzabra and I have had our eyes on this part of the Wheatbelt for a few months. We were joined by Dallyho and today was the day to head out and make a weekend of it.
We left at 4.30am on Friday and headed off to the northern wheatbelt.
We covered over 600km today, clocking up 29 finds, including 5 archived caches.
Kyzabra found this one in a place I'd already checked.
