This was another find on my way to the Mega in Wellington with thegreatauk. We were on the road for 10 days and had a great trip. I haven't sorted out the stats for the trip yet as I'm just starting to log them but we found about 250-280 caches including about 90 puzzles. This was a quick find once we got the right hint item, thanks
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for. For today we managed 25 which is good. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches.
Found it! Thanks
GZ is bang on and the hint is very helpful
Word of warning for following geocachers... watch out for these guys! While looking around prior to finding this cache I copped a couple of stings from two particularly angry little buggers from this nest before I had spotted it... it is right by one of the access points to the cache (if you're deliberately coming to this cache maybe bring some spray to destroy the nest?!)

We are not really into motorsport but Hampton Downs is a special place for us as it's the place that you adopt the ex-racing greyhounds from. The cache is at the beginning of the road you go down to meet your new best friend. After getting the cache we did pop down, but being a hot day none of the greyhounds were out to play so Albert didn't get to see any of his friends. Cache itself was quickly found, fortunately while my plant recognition is not that great, I did know what that one was as we grew them from cuttings in 5th form horticulture. All good here and thanks for the cache.
Nice quick find with my grandson. Have been meaning to pick this one up for ages.
Bit of a rubbish too around here. Had to approach from a different angle to spot cache rather than spray cans nappies etc. Thanks for the placement CatsandDragons and kale29m
Always in too much of a hurry ...so have passed this one many times..stopped today in between showers and grabbed it...man there's a lot a rubbish in this location..thanks Cats and Dragons for the cache
love finding other ways to head north with out following the rat race.. so when we noticed this went some where more than we thought.. off we went.. darn there was a cache back there.. quick u turn... grab the torch.. fossick fossick ah there it is.. lol.. cache and log completely wet. so signed the bag... ( we have found that putting the log in a small pill container - rolled loosely enough that it fills most of the space in the container, and then popping that in to the cache is a pretty good way of keeping them dry)
Went around and around on the Hampton Downs circuit at up to 200kmh at the Toyota Festival. During a break between sessions, make a quick dash out to look for this one. With the good clues, was a quick find and then back to the track.

Well l sure went around & around according to the hint without luck. Then by good luck l spotted it out in the open. So after signing the log, replaced back where it should be.TFTC
On our way to the All Blacks. A quick stop on a beautiful summers day. We had to stop here because we have a racing car enthusiast
Caching my way south from the airport to Hamilton I pulled off the Expressway to grab this one. Successfully added to the soaking of my shoes and then proceeded to almost end up somewhere I didn't want to be when I thought the local road went through to Churchill E Rd TNLN, TFTC Cats&Dragons
On the way home from tackling Route 66 and took the opportunity to find this cache after securing some items in the boot of the car. Had a close call with a pile of vomit but the cache was a quick find so cheers Cats&Dragons.

After a long caching mission today in Auckland, we had a quick stop for this.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Nice quick park n grab. Great day for a road trip. Log signed as b&p.Tftc Cats&Dragons & Kale29m. Find # 3050
Thankfully we didn't have to go Around and Around here, it was a nice quick park and grab
Well this was a chance to have a last ride out on the motorbike before it goes away in the garage until the spring. A chance for a souvenir too.
I had to around and around to grab this one. Good sized cache here. TFTC

Skeleton close by gave me the hebe-jeebies but cache found and log signed quickly. Tftc
Todays trip had taken less time than we had thought, so found we weren't having to rush back up to Aucks. So stopped for a couple of caches along th way. The ones that I usually by pass due too much traffic around.
Having replaced the cache, I turned to getup and found I was being watched. While I had been signing the log a cow had comeupto the fence to see what I was up to.
When I stood up to leave, all the others came over to see as well. TFTC

Was out at Hampton Downs for work today so decided to stop and grab this before I got back on the motorway to Auckland. Nice quick park & grab cache is a little damp but log nice and dry. tftc
There were a few cars around today as something was happening over at the track. TFTC
Me and my buddy found this after being at Mrs Browns boys during Easter weekend.
Needs immediate attention, water has got in. Not sure if it is still in its original place.
Easily found as it was out in the open a bit. Some of the camo is coming off. I tried to rehide it a bit better as it lookslike is is used for a drinking spot with all the empty bottles about. TFTC
#11123. Sometimes we go around and around roundabouts (if having trouble navigating). It was good to have a break from the motorway, with good parking. TFTC.
After a couple of weeks in Northland, it's time to head south again. With the dire weather predictions, and the on again off again rain, we kept caching stops to a minimum.
A quick stop and fortunately a quick find. Never been here before and am unlikely to visit again as I think motor sports must be one of the most annoying (the sound of the engines) and boring (around and around and around) spectator sports ever. TFTC.

A quick find while travelling south to Hamilton. Log very wet but managed to add my stamp. TFTC
Detoured by here as we began our journey southward and heading back to home territory.
Enjoyed a great few days in Franklin district. Thanks for the caching.
Cache find was straightforward. True to the coordinates and hint.
All in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

Thanks for the cache.
On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Last day in New Zealand. All fun things come to end. Will defenitely come back! Today our trip continued from Hamilton to Auckland Airport. Of course with some caching on the way. We had lots of fun and saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

18th and last day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. All good things come to an end, and so did our geo-road trip.
Nice quick find, though the log book is absolutely saturated. Did my best to start drying it out... Don't know if it will help much...
Sorry we didn't have a spare log book with us. As the log book is saturated but we made a quick find on our way home from Auckland.

A quick find today, don't know how I missed it last time. Logbook is soaked however. TFTC
Today marks the end of a journey for me. As a carrier of the BRCA1 gene (hereditary breast & ovarian cancer) I went through a double mastectomy back in March, and 4 weeks ago I had my second surgery for breast reconstruction. I live in the Waikato but had to remain in Auckland post op (both times) to recover near my wonderful surgeons. Today marks me going back home for the last time, having reduced my breast cancer risk from over 90% to less than 5% ... it has been a long journey and its finally over so what better way to celebrate than a few cache stops on my way home from Auckland! Many thanks to the owner for placement of this cache, I am so pleased to finally get back to one of my favourite hobbies. Thos cache is very wet probably due to recent rainfall. Ladies please ensure you self check and attend regular checkups & gents please ensure your ladies do so - or even check for lumps yourself, it can be fun you know and it may save her life.
A short detour while on my way back to Auckland. Sounded like there was some thing on here today. TFTC
Out and about for a spot of caching in the rain while driving through the Waikato this morning. Super quick find here as the cache was out in the open, open with the contents strewn about. I emptied out the container and dried things out a little bit before tucking it back under the bush. May need a maintenance check. Cheers for the cache placement!
actually someone has pissed in it the aholes! robably not one you want to go puting your hands in!
!!
!!
I found this quite a while ago but looks like I forgot to log it found an old tape while looking and had a big convo rest of the way home with the kids about tapes and what they are.
Stopped for one last quick find on our way home to Auckland after a day of hunting in Hamilton. Fun day. Can't wait for more in a fortnight!
A bit of ferreting around but got it quick enough, helps to look in the right place!
Steed made a solo trip up to South Auckland to cache on his bike around Highbury. He added to the day's tally by collecting some on the way there and back too.
We have done a few in this series now, we must look into it and finish off the series, they take us to places we wouldn't otherwise visit. TFTC.

Quick find. Took a nice picture of the surrounding fields with the hay bales. TFTC
One of several we located whilst en route from Auckland to New Plymouth today. Great summer's day. Fortunately a quick find. #703. TFTC.
Quick find as we headed south again - glad it wasn't a race day, very quiet trafficwise. TFTC
It was just off the highway. It was a tricky place we kept walking around and around it. Another great spot
Found it, TFTC

With our eldest daughter emigrating to Canada and a need to drop off Corky the dog for her to emigrate too, a road trip was in order and of course a few caches along the way. The need to let Corky out for toilet stops and leg stretches coincided with caches placed along our route, funny old thing!
Today was the day of departure and after dropping off Laura at the airport I needed some in the dark with torch caches to get the day off to a good start
No problem with the find here today, dropped off some cache swag and made the signing duties all OK

Easy enough find early in the morning, but what is hebe? But I didn't need to know though, cache was easily found.
Found out and about on a caching trip to the Waikato with alpenmilch80 today. The cache lived up to its reputation as there was some around and around before the cache was finally spotted. Thanks!
After completing my work in South Auckland today I had to head to Hamilton for more work stuff. Decided to find a few caches along the way. Nice one. All good with this cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Quick pit stop here after checking out the new bit of motorway and doing a bit of a drive around collecting some caches
