Having emailed the CO and received explicit directions I returned with a method of checking the exact spot. Unfortunately my reward was an empty hiding spot.
This was actually my second visit but I put the first down to inexperience with Little G hides and didn't log a DNF. Apparently rightly so as it's been found since.
Today I made a concerted effort (both sides of the road as the cords put me in the road). I did eventually see something unusual but it failed to yield a cache. Will email the CO for confirmation as if that item is significant then it's likely the cache is AWOL.

No joy with this one, though our GPS telling us it's in the middle of the road. Will be back
Waaayyyy too tricky for us I'm afraid. Didn't have a clue. Not a good start to caching in the Garden City .
YES! Finally found! Don't have to bike past in agony every day now! Clever hide LittleG. TFTC.
This has been my nemesis for a while.
Visit 1: Nothing
Visit 2: Oneeyedcantab tags along and we find a spot at given coords that HAS to be right. Take a look: nope. nothing.
Visit 3: Come back again to see if I missed anything. Still DNF
Visit 4 and 5: Same thing
The most infuriating thing is I bike past here every day! I am slowly loosing my mind.
Either a) Its wrong spot
b) right spot but muggled
c) right spot but just missed something continually
Because its little G I'm guessing its C.
this cache WILL be conquered!

I was up in Papanui... running an errand after work. Something needed picking up just round the corner from here.
I still needed my cache for the day, and spied this one on my radar... difficulty 2? I could do that.
I started looking about, and then decided I may need some help... but before I recieved it, I spied something a little out of place... (Well this was after spying the out of place abandoned birds nest... no... it was not the abandoned birds nest...those are real old egg shells... and good thing I have detol in my car... )
So saw this out of place thing... and saw somthing that I definitely needed in order to be able to sign the log after a wee look around... yus! Getting the cache wasn't too bad then once I had found it... it was the putting it back...
And no screams came out anywhere! Which I was pretty surprised about... caches usually make me scream involuntarily... it just happens... hahaha.
TFTC!!

After randomly meeting ADV at another cache in town, a hint was given on where I could find this cache. Drove past after work, and could spot it straight away from when I parked my car. Thanks for the cache. Clever hide.
Spent a bit longer looking for this one than I normally would but it sounded interesting and I wasn't disappointed when I finally found, a clever hide.

I strategically parked the car to allow the search to go hopefully unnoticed and soon had the cache signed off. You got the desired response from me.
Nice one guys

Finally success on our third visit to this cache, but even with an explicit hint from the owner, it was a while before we spotted the cleverly hidden cache. TFTC
Omg I can't believe I got this one. I came last weekend but a dog and a handicapped muggle interrupted me. What a tricky one this was. Tftc
I have this been past this spot so many times, but only had a really good luck for the cache once. Then was driving past I though why not stop and have a look. I though, I had the appropreate equipment with me. I had the cache in hand, a quick smile and there we were. TFTC
On the way home and still needed to grab a cache or two to keep my streak alive. I've been saving a few for days like this. I approached GZ after sitting in traffic for a bit on Main North Road. Had the place to myself. Hmm, this is a LG hide. Think like LG... Let GPSr settle and then my gut instinct at first arrival was proven correct. I spotted something and knew where to look. I positioned my 'tool' and was able to make the find and had a smile on my dial! Fun hide and container. Returned and headed off to find the one around the corner. Thanks for the fun boys. Streak alive day 141.

I spied a clue and pondered how to retrieve it. Thankfully I had something with me which helped. Nice hide. TFTC
FOUND IT, I used to sing the spider song with the action to my kids when they were younger. The sun was out so off to find this incy wincy spider, took a wee while worked out where the incy wincy spider would be sun bathing, had to use some specialist equipment at the back of the car, "got em".
(incy wincy spider went.......along came the rain and.........). Nice one TFTC.

1 of 37 caches Mum and I found today in attempts to reach 1000cache finds by the end of the year.
Yes! Finally got it. We needed the aid of something else to retrieve the cache but we got there in the end.
Thanks for the cache:)

Well our very last few hours now of our NZ holiday.
After abandoning caching early yesterday due to Mr Felix being unwell we were still supposed to grab a few caches today.
This again was a DNF for us today, but it would seem we were onto the hide from the get go but not luck with 2 visits. Another DNF for our trip.

Day 21 of our caching holiday for the MEGA tour of the South Island of NZ. Leaving Akaroa heading for Christchurch today.
Hmmm had intened on finding about 10 Little G caches today but after 2 finds and this DNF we were over caching for today.
Time for Mr Felix to rest, not feeling well at all.
Mrs Felix was determined that the cache was a certain sort but with muggles walking past and the guy gardening across the road paying more than a little attention to us it was time to call it quits....
Shame.
Bye New Zealand on a DNF

Neither of our GPSrs would settle on GZ, so we resorted to searching everything we could in a 9m radius but with road workers nearby and too much area, we called it quits in the end. Thanks anyway.

Arrived in Christchurch late yesterday on our way to the Event at Dunedin. Time for a bit of caching today before we head off tomorrow. We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
Used PAF and it was confirmed as being where we were looking - a second look and we couldn't locate anything! Our first one in Christchurch has beaten us (or been muggled).
Thanks for the hunt anyway LittleG Magic .

Returned to visit incy and after the great weather found him basking. Yet another very clever LGM hide. Thanks for the cache.
after some work out we managed to grab it, thanks for the last New Zealand cache on our trip

Arrived at GZ with the required equipment and had the cache in hand in a matter of seconds.
Finally! With cfahey1. As Clare said, we arrived under cover of darkness with the right equipment and had it quickly in hand. TFTC #113
Name fits the cache. Was a fun to find. Had us stumped for a few minutes. Made throne when the road works guys were looking the other way. Found with Espired. TFTC.

A second failed attempt! We think we know where it is but couldn't get to it. Will need to return with equipment.
Have tried to find this cache a number of times, and have worked out where it is. Just need to return with the right equipment.
2nd attempt and finally success. Had to use hints from people who attended the Shortest Day event.
The structure also defends itself well against unprepared cachers.

Mr KE thought of something. I saw a leg. After driving to GZ we organised a lineout and there it was.
Thank you for placing this cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.
I was onto you LittleG. A form of magic required to make the find but it was very quick and slight of hand. Good one again, thanks.
Another LittleG Magic's cache off my very long list. Finally got the bugger lol. TFTC. Cheers Bo
The first time we were gonna stop here there was someone mowing the grass so we never stopped this time the area was clear. From reading a few logs I thought I knew where to look but I guess I was wrong. either that or I just wasnt looking hard enough. Thanks
Out caching with gracie7 + Mum. first time here for me but we still didn't find it.
A bit tricky but found it with a bit of trouble getting it back. TFTC #265

We had a bit of a look for this one, but as the coordinates had us in the middle of the road, it was difficult to even know which side of the road to search, although we think we have worked that much out now.
This is one of LGM's caches that have undeservingly been put on my "to hard" list, for no other reason than the fact that it is a LGM cache! The other day I went through that list and thought - it's only a traditional, how hard can it be... turns out this one wasn't too bad... as for some of the others, another day... TFTC (675)
Pleased that I wasn't trying to retrieve this cache solo and there were other members of the caching party with the required attributes. They soon winkled Incy Wincy out of its hiding place.
TFTC.

Had left this as was well beyond my natural capabilities so was relieved to be part of a hunting party that could fetch & replace with careful safety procedures. Happy to report no mishaps here today.
#96 Incy Wincy tried to hide but this time we were in the right place and we soon had him/her in hand. Found while out with MacPacMum, BalooSu, KiwiCampNut and RuruNZ. Nice hide.
At last!
Had been several times looking for where Incy Wincy might be hiding. Was with 4 others (see JustMeG's log) and one of us parked in the right place.
Phew!

Glad I had RuruNZ with me this time and to have found this one so quickly. Nice one Little G. Kiwicampnut

31Mar12: Finally found it! On a day of caching with MacPacFamily Mum, JustMeG, KiwiCampNut and RuruNZ, I was the last to get here, and it was already in hand by the time arrived. Just where it ought to be. Haha.
29Feb12: Words can't describe it! Thought this would be a good place to finish a Leap Day. Drove to GZ full of confidence, with hints gleaned from encounters with fellow cachers. Followed the instructions, felt around and... NOTHING!!! No words, only symbols, and they read "?????????" !
13Jan12: DNF. Decided to move on before the sirens started coming my way.
21Jan12: DNF. With night approaching and 2 more caches to find though, I wasn't going to spend all night at it.

Only managed to have a quick look for this one before I had to move on as the owner came out and wondered what I was up to and said he had noticed his trees had been getting a bit of attention lately. I explained to him what it was all about so he left. ( I think he believed me ). I will have to come back for another look. Cheers Bo
Had another try but was still unsuccessful. At one stage I was convinced that I had found it, but on closer inspection realised that I hadn't.
Unfortunately another dnf. Searched for longer than I did yesterday but still no joy. I will not let this beat me though, and will return at some stage.
I didn't find incy wincy but did find some friendly ants and some not so friendly earwigs. Apparently they don't like having their nest disturbed. Coords told me it was on the street, but I didn't believe that and looked in the areas that seemed more likely. After a pretty thorough search I gave up as thunder rumbled and the clouds opened. I will be back soon to search again.
No idea where this cache is. Coords took us to the middle of the road and it was very busy with traffic so we gave up after a while.
So I am not so short... but still needed the assistance of backing my car up to stand on it as it was the only help that I had available to me... just sayin... not so subtle in the muggle world LMAO
Breezed through on the way to another Little G mystery cache. Had another poke and prod, but still no luck - but I'm sure I'm in the right place! With night approaching and 2 more caches to find though, I wasn't going to spend all night at it.
coordinates had me in the middle of the road too on 5 approaches...
didnt know where to start looking from there, check around a bit but no inspiration so I left

It is always good to knock off another LGM (even if you do need a hint from the cache owner to get there!) Think there should be some sort of achievement level if you can complete - say 50 LGM caches!
Thought we were on a LGM roll so went for another.... didn't find it and got muggled by the deputy mayor who's place we were outside....ooops try again another day.
Almost overlooked todays dot day. Needed Old Boots help for this one and a bark of encouragement from Rosie. Wonder where the P120 sign has come from. TFTC
Second for the day, and it is a week day . Come on 122 for the month [8]. Youngest got this one, frist spot we looked. Must be his young eyes, or just the different way he looks at the world. Not our normal 15 minute hunt for easy little G Magic caches , it was in hand with in 30 second of getting out of the car . Another outstanding execution of how to hide a cache. TFTC.
#576: Familiar Friend
I've started picking up some LGM caches again, now that my brain has healed from working through some other tough, but well-worth-it puzzles. I thought I'd start off with a nice, easy one, and then work my way back into the LGM mindset. I've seen this kind of hide before in the States (have actually hidden one myself), and had planned a hide recently that used a similar method -- looks like I'll have to choose a more-novel approach .
Quick retrieval with few muggles about, after the muggle-bus went past, and the farmer moved on, that is. Retrieved, signed, and replaced in short order. Thanks LGM for this nice hide, and allowing me to continue my cache-a-day streak (day 84!).

3752. We came equipped but in the end used different means and the cache was ours. We had worked out where it was but had to do some thinking before we came back to find it.
Thanks

First place I looked, but usual storyn didn't look properly, tried again and found it. Cunning hide. TFTC
One more DNF for the day! We really haven't done very well on this outing. Maybe we'll do better some other day.
Coould possibly be a DNF ... but didn't get much of a look before the local dog got let out when the sun came out and decided to make a fuss. Not my day - same thing happened with Out by One not long before.
Yay a LGM that I got on the first attempt (well 2 today). Must be doing something right! A cunning wee hide. Thanks for the challenge
