At this fine sunny sommer sunday afternoon we enjoyed the walk through the bush to this magnificant lookout. Unfortunally we met no fantail no tui only one single pigeon. We find the box 'greater then a nano' and we like it very well. All together: one blue tie. Thank you for this amazing cache.

[green] Here with popmac on a geocaching / daffodil trip. Popmac grows daffodils and is taking a bunch to a daffodil tournament thingy in Gisborne with plans to cache along the way, and I came along for the ride.
Heard two or three fantails on the way to the cache, along with other birds i could not identify, but then it turned out that one of the fantails was popmac, behind me, imitating them trying to encourage them to come closer. It didn't work. Cache took a bit of finding, though. Well, actually, I found it early on and ignored it...

Very cool, our favourite cache so far! We tried, didn't find it, sat and looked at the view, tried to be more open minded and then......found it

A quick cache run to check that this cache is all in order. The container is still working but will need to be replaced soon, so please just be gentle with it until I can get a replacement. New log installed waiting to be signed. Cheers SiLiRy

Nice little climb to the lookout. Pohutukawa still in flower and puriri berries on the trees but no sign of too much bird life today. A clever hide thank you. TFTC

We didn’t see any fantails today, only a tui. We could hear fantails, bellbirds and cicadas. A quick easy find of a nicely camouflaged cache one we reached the lookout. TFTC

a tui and fantails were there to serenade usBig Grin

26-Jan-12
Not sure but we may have heard fantails, the cicada fanfare was drowning out all other sound. Saw a pair of kereru playing against the blue sky and from GZ the breaking surf and fishing gannets were memorable. Great place, very nice hide. NINO TFTC

First ever geocache find attempt...sadly, didn't find it (I think we confused memorised clues from another hide!) but enjoyed the walk and views. Will look again if we are up that way.

Convinced Mrs Zorgon to join me on this walk as she hadn't been here before despite growing up in gizzy. Great views and nice camo!
Many thanks

Nice climb for us humans, but little 6-month old Turtleback puppy gave up and just lay down half way up. Love the camoflage with this one... TFTC Siliry, our second of yours today.

The cache is safe and sound and in the right spot. YuGeo4, think "tricky wee blighter" x10. Not your usual cache container, you will love it when you find it. Happy hunting Smile

14-Sep-11
No fantail fanfare for us… the views were worth the visit, TFTCSF

30-Aug-11
Yay! Found it at 6:35pm, after crawling for 10 minutes Big Grin, mind you was night and for sure not helpful Red Face.
Anyway, a pretty tricky one as I didn't really know what to expect. Good on you SiLiRy, like it and got me, but at the end still found it.
I am glad that I got the FTF on that one, as I like a lot the Piwakawaka. But at that time they were all asleep I suppose and other noises filled the air and the reserve.
TFTC, TNLN SL
Cheers nzkeko
