Logs
This cache definitely needs maintenance. The original log is unsignable and the second replacement log is also soggy now. Love the Mosgiel sign though. Thanks for the cache!
Entered the under canaopy and let the device settle. Hmmm lots of fallen branches and overturned logs. Why??? A susicious pile of logs gave away where the cache was hidden and black pot soon in hand to sign. I see the out of towner owners haven't visited their caches in a long time. Someone else has been maintaining their caches as a RITR logslip in this cache has several logs on it and is still dry in the baggy. Returned cache to the hide putting stuff back in place. Maybe the kiddys need to go back to easier townie caches. Went up the hill to the damaged stairway terreace at GCA361J where some munter had pulled apart the neighbours sleepers from the garden. Six inch nails still poking out and an empty spot big enough for a 2Lt. Poor babbies. TFTC
Honestly did not enjoy looking for it. Too many branches, leaves, and other things to get in your way. Needs to be maintained soon.
Good to finally tick this one off, it was one of the first we went out to hunt last year when Rubydoo was introduced to geocaching. Great to finally have a smiley! We added an extra sheet or two of log paper in a new bag. TFTC
Cache 1140 another 2 DNFs on this one recently but thought id give it a go anyway, found at GL at base of a broken dead tree, hint needs updated (tree was probably alive at time of publishing) log was soaking wet managed to get my name on it though will add a NM post to cache. T4TC
Hint needs updated as it’s now at GL at base of a dead tree and the log book needs replaced as it’s soaking wet
Searched the two trees there and the fallen tree is gone now so that's annoying
Managed to find the csche after reading some previous logs and checking out some photos. Cache now at GZ and the tree it’s hidden at is quite dead! Logbook completely soaked but my pen is capable of writing on wet paper. Will try to swing by to replace the logbook on another trip soon.

Took me a wee while but managed to locate the cache in the end. Did not have a pen on me so could not sign the log. TFTC
We never stopped at the sign heading to the outlaw in another life years ago, always near the centre of town or traveling out to Outram from the other direction. Caches in Mosgiel were usually disabled or missing warranting not plotting any dots north of the line while wiping the Straith Taieri clear of of the closest listings years ago. More time hunting in my closest saturation areas seen a stop at a road I didn't know existed on the way to a subdivision I didn't know existed either, Mosgiel is growing! with shiny new properties and not the tired dated abodes in the township. The cache was reached at a spot somewhat fitting the hint but more GL and cache was sodden. I changed the munted baggies for a clean dry one and wrapped the ok logbook in a tissue. SL and returned how found. TFTC

Loved getting closer to the sign - couple of keen scramblers went closer!

Finishing up the modern wonders of the world today. The cache was more like litter in appearance and plenty of that to go around but we repackaged. The previous logs hunt was helpful in determining where to start our search. Must be nearly time to end the nap now. TFTC #339
A roadie as part of the Southern Raiders. Hunting up Wonders, hoping for FTFs on some, and to Dunedin to attend an event. Didn't take too long to find tftc
Signed as Southern Raiders

A group of Southerners have travelled up to Dunedin for the day to attend our first Creation Celebration event and to knock off the latest challenge "Wonders of the World". We overshot the mark initially, stopped and waited for the GPS to settle before zeroing in on the cache. Due to the number of people in our convoy we've signed the log as Southern Raiders or SR for short. TFTC
We were confident we had been here before but obviously we we Mollywooding it! Signed as SR.
HocksRock!! Took us a bit as so many trees have been removed but it’s to the left of a giant tree that remains xx
No luck finding this one in this roadside forest. I feel like I tried every possible tree but the cache eluded me. Very unsuccessful day for caching.
TFTC- looked at lots of trees before I grabbed the smile
Not sure how I overlooked this tree initially
Was leaving and thought one more look
Yah
Thanks for the smile

Nice easy find. No traffic around today due to major roadworks at the motorway on ramp.
Another place we had driven past numerous times but never stopped at. Took a bit of looking for but no problems once we looked in the right tree.

I was certainly relieved when I got close enough to realize that I didn't have to climb the cliff to the sign to be able to get this one. Found after quite a lot of fossicking around (The clue was specific and spot on, but that didn't stop me trying a great number of trees). I tried to dry the container out as best I could, log book was pretty much unwrite-able though, so I popped in an extra bit of paper, which no doubt is also wet by now. Thanks so much for placing the cache, but I'm afraid it really needs a bit of TLC now.
Easy find! Needs serious attention tho! Log book soaked and container was open
Out in the dark looking for this one. Couldn't find the fallen tree but the co-ordinates were pretty good. Tipped the water out of the container. Log was too wet to write on but found some fresh paper in the car.
can the next person to find this let me know if the tb is still there I think it might have gone AWOL cheers
Quick and easy find thanks! Never been that close to the Mosgiel sign! I did spend about 10 minutes trying to put whatever was in the cache back in it...very very tight squeeze!
A quick park and grab on way home from work. Well it was a bit of detour to get here in the heavy rain but a cache a day keeps the.... Well I'm not sure what it keeps away but it keeps me happy . TFTC
Quick easy find, good clues, maybe an new container as this one is all wet inside and even tho log book is in a bag, it too is very wet, fun find tho
On a mission for #2000 , out with KJR. I'm a back seat cacher today with a leg in a brace while k does all the finding. Quick find tftc
Had to get out and help the newbie with this one

Out on a mission with BCD. Nice quick find but not by me. I was still going around in circles. TFTC
Ok so I got mixed up between "By Glum" and "Mollywood" and had Eve07 and wee Eve walk up the path and over the top and down again but at least I did find this one.
Hot day on the Taieri today. Pleased to have a bit of shade while logging my last find of the day. TFTC
found it, cache was too wet to sign so will return tomorrow with new notebook and snap lock bag TFTC
Geo caching day with the girls, lots of fun hunting for this one took awhile but girls found it!
The kids loved looking for this one. We weren't sure where to go and spent a while walking in circles. But found it in the end.
I have set myself a mission to find 5 diverse and 20 caches in total before I have to be back in Balclutha to pick the kids up from school at 1500. This is find number 14 on my attempt. This sign is one of those lasting memories I have from when I arrived 20 years ago from England. I have never been this close before so thanks for the chance. It is a nice little area considering it is so close to the motorway. The cache was found without too much trouble, a good thing as I am running out of time. Logbook was a little damp, added a new sheet. Signed, photographed and on to the next one. Thanks, R-H
Today I have been granted a caching day by my lovely wife. (I’ll pay for it later I’m sure) so T-R-B and Roaming - Hayward will be completing 20 in a day and hopefully 5 diverse.
This is find number 14/20. What a cool sign and a cool cache to go with it. I have never been so close so it was good to get the photos. The cache was found without any problems, good news as the clock was running out. Logbook was a little damp, added a new sheet. Logbook signed and the photo taken.
Thanks for the cache. T-R-B

There's certainly some memories that I have about this sign too - one of my earliest memories of coming to this country was being driven past this sign at 6pm-ish in the middle of winter. Not likely to forget the view that hit me very shortly afterwards either. As for the cache, an easy find. Cheers!
Will come back when my new gps arrives as my phone was a bit indecisive on where I should be looking. Nice area though!
Was in Dunedin for a work thing for a day, so after that was done decided to do some caching on the way to the airport. Stopped in Mosgiel for a few caches, was a lovely spring day so was a nice way to spend a couple of hours! Parked across the road and walked to GZ, GPS was a little off but the hint made sense and quickly had the cache in hand. The log was mush but managed to find a spot to write on. Sorry didn't have any spares with me for running maintenance. TFTC
Not where I was expecting it to be I envisioned that I would be climbing on the other side of road towards the sign. Found on an early morning trip to Duners. TFTC Log too wet to sign.
Yeah! This was our first cache! Tricky uf you have night idea what you are looking for!
At last!, I have had several unsuccessful attempts in the past, today as Bitsprayer parked up I said I will go for a wee walk and boy did that walk pay off!
Thanks

Out on a maintenance run this evening and taking the TB's for some fresh air as well as my brain or what is left of it. Fresh new logbook installed! Please screw the lid on full and place right side up, not sideways, to avoid chance of future leaks.
