After vist to Nugget point we made our way back to Dunedin stopping for caches. Thank goodness cache has safe spot we nearly blew away. Thanks for the cache Muzzer
Easy find on the way back to Dunedin after a fantastic day out including Nugget point. TFTC
Well now thats a brave hide in plain sight.. guess it all depends if you stay standing on the road or find reason to approach..when the contrast is like a search light... added a little appriopate cover from the surroundings unclear if its position was intended to be so balsey lol.. thanks
I looked in the obvious spot and there it was; signed the yellow bit of paper. Loved the apology from the arborists for cutting down the tree. Also the wonderful views , walking down to GZ, I could see the sea.
Stopped here after a snack lunch in Balclutha. Just time for 2 caches before we are due in Dunedin and a simple one with parking and a view attracted us. Mrs S needed Sobads longer arms here. Thanks to CO and to previous cacher for new log.
A deep reach for this one! Nice rural views. Container wet and logbook sodden so added and signed a strip of waterproof paper. TFTC Muzzer.
My 100th find!! On my way home from doing a first aid refresher in Balclutha today and decided to grab some caches while in the area. Overshot the mark on this one so parked up and took a stroll and admired the view. Logbook is soggy and almost un-signable, managed with my good pen though. Left a little treasure - AA. Tftc.
Cool little find just off the road. The Log book was water damaged so didnt log my name.
Thanks
Thanks
Great day to find this cache. Views as promised. Quick find though the logbooks are damp.
Thanks for the cache, Muzzer

A quick stop on our way home from an afternoon of caches. Appreciate the new log paper. TFTC
Found during a day exploring the Clutha area with my family, the log was soaked so removed and added a piece of paper but it will need attention. TFTC
I suggested to Mr P it was his turn to find a cache as this one was super easy he could knock himself out - done and dusted in no time.
We are heading back to Lawrence the scenic way. A lovely view from up here.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Today I was heading to the north and east of Balclutha trying to locate and sign off a few caches.
Nive views.
Cheers for the cache.

Cache 514 Had to stop here on the way home for the sunset view ️ stunning, cache quick easy find though a bit damp, log is damp but not wet. Other than that cache is in ok shape T4TC
One of those serendipitous places to hide a geocache. Thanks for placing this- found with Debsnz, (who'd found it some years ago).
Left my calling card here. Cheers.
Wednesday 11 November. Its Balclutha, Stirling, Tokomairiro, Waitahuna, Mt Stewart windfarm and back to Balclutha today. Lets get exploring.
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Day 13 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
I woke up this morning having spent the night beside a lovely beach near Heywards Point on the outskirts of Dunedin. Today's plan was to drive from Dunedin down to the Catlins, although I had no real idea of how far I'd get today. I have been so lucky to have dry conditions my whole trip so far, with the sun really putting in an effort to convince me it wasn't winter!
This was effectively a quick park n grab for me. I was happy to see that there was no-one else around to bother me as I conducted my search, and I found the cache with little fuss. There were no issues with the container, but there was no log inside. I happened to have a spare log and baggie with me, so signed it and placed it in the cache and I was back on my way again.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Found on way to Dunedin. Enjoying the caches in the area. Hopefully my back is better tomorrow
Eleventh day of a two week motorhome excursion, heading via the Coast to the lower South Island, picking up a few caches along the way – 14 today. Travelling from The Catlins to Moeraki today. A reasonably quick find. Yes, good views from this point! #3389. TFTC.
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #522.
17 January 2020 10:14. Tftc. A very nice view indeed although a little hazy today. Tftc
Found this one on our way to Dunedin

A nice view of clutha and surrounding area. A nice dry log. Would have topped up with some swaps but was only planning to get the FTF micro so didn't bother bringing any.

Road trip to Dunedin with Saethwr. Caching not a priority (for a change) , but picking up a few as we go.
Had to stop here for the greay views - just a little bit of cloud on the horizon, the pic doesn't to it justice.
Thanks for the smilie Muzzer.

Headed out today to pick off a bunch of caches alongside the mighty Clutha, as part of a last-minute effort to grab the final souvenir for the Museum challenge. Approaching from the Dunedin end was probably not the smartest way, but I got to the cache and found no issues with it. Cheers!
We are gallivanting around the countryside in search of the elusive clues as part of the Mystery at the Museum challenge. A chilly day today, however finding this cache made the cold worth it
In the area getting the first to find at Lake Tuakitoto (in attached pic). Now to find the required Fingerprint. Quick find, even picked up a TB.
Found on a sunny ANZAC day cruise. Probably 30 years since we last went down this road.
Everything is becoming a blur as to how I found the cache but I thank you for placing and maintaining this one for us all to find.

During our holiday in New Zealand we have visited both the North and the South Island. We saw a lot of highlights of this beautiful country, but there is so much more to see. So many highlights, so many caches! The geocaches showed us a lot of special and interesting places. Sometimes a quick find, sometimes we had to search longer. A few DNF's, but that doesn't matter. We loved New Zealand and we hope to come back some day!
Today we have found the cache "Hillend Views (Otago)".
Muzzer, thanks for creating and maintaining this cache!
Greetings from the Netherlands,

Last weekend before high school goes back... so any excuse is a good one, to head off the main road into the wilderness to find us some caches.
Have replaced logbook and dried out the container as much as possible. Perhaps a new container needed?

We are on our summer holiday driving around the South Island with no real idea of where we will end up each day. We are often drawn to an area that has the potential to give us a few geocaching smilies and somewhere we have not spent time exploring before. In some cases we are revisiting placed that we have been before but liked so much we are going there again.
Unfortunately the views were not what we had hoped to see when we were here, there was low cloud blocking the view and a strong wind making us want to retreat to the campervan as quickly as possible. The cache was soon spotted and the log signed and we returned it as we found it.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Water was running out the box when we found it. Everything is soaked. Needs maintenance.
