No luck with this one. Had a very through search for it but no luck today. Hopefully will have better luck on the next island as it's a long paddle in the kayak. Thanks anyway.
Found the likely nesting hole, but no cache to be found. Will have to revisit another time.
This one got me stumped.Found the nest and the egg but no catch. Still it was a nice paddle and an interesting island.
Looked for this one in December and couldn't find it (sorry for late log). Heading back to the Opua area later in March and hoping the CO can check on it at let us all know if it's still operational. I want to find this one!
We were little muggles when we found this wonderful cache and this is the one that started our adventure! TFTC
Took the dinghy from the anchorage to the Island found the cache and log it. Thanks for the beautiful wiev from the top.
Found while taking our new kayaks out for a first paddle. Father inlaw and hubby couldn't find it, but I had a proper look and spotted it. Found a little rat/big mouse under a foam mattress at the top of the island, vavr hubby a fright!
The cache is fixed. No oyster catchers, new box (200ml Systema), new logbook, old place.

There is an oyster catcher nesting at the cache, so I will disable the cache for a while.
Found my VERY FIRST cache. I live close by on a yacht, so now I know what the occasional 'tourist' was probably doing!! Thanks for placing it there.
Returned accross the ferry from Russell and enjoyed calmer waters from Opua accross to Pine Tree Island. A return visit, this time on my Kayak with revised co-ords ready for a find. No problems this time and took my time to take in the views. Some amazing vessels at anchor and moored at the marina! T4TC!
Calling in to Opua to pick up the kids for the weekend, nice quick find while waiting at anchor near by. Thanks again RS.

Had to move it, as the last location was not safe! Think it may have washed away. This place should be safer!

After our earlier find and a couple of fish we were looking forward to completing the day with a 5/5. We landed on the West beach and managed to get within 4m on the beach before we spotted the path leading up on top of the island. then got to within 3m of GZ on the GPS. Started scouring the area but was nervous of the cliff edge. Widened the search area to all trees and bushes but still nothing. Heaps of great hiding places but none contained a cache. Would be keen to know if it's still there.
Over in opua on our 29th wedding anv, so before dinner had time to have a nice little paddle to a cute little Island. Yay a FTF too. Most enjoyable and quick find thanks.
