I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

With this clue we think it should of been pretty easy to find but we couldnt see it today.

In the area today and had a good look before heading to the beach. Checked as per hint and the hole was empty. Got a potential replacement ready but there were people at/near GZ the whole time so not possible to help out unfortunately. Will try again next time near if possible.

With some spare time and on a celebration day I headed to this very special place with a muggle friend. I caught some good waves and before going back home I searched for this one, it was an easy find, but the muggles parked right in front the GZ having made it as D5, luckily one of the Muggles didn't take too much to leave the place and the other one, well my Muggle friend helped me distracting the man doing some juggles with tênis balls.

Karekare is less crowded than Piha. Of course, it is sunday afternoon. Lovely Day. So people spent time outdoors. Even with lots of muggles *on* the beach, this one couldn't hide very long.

Needed to be in Auckland tonight and decided to arrive early so that I had time to detour out here for a walk up the cliff & then back along the beach. So glad I made the effort to get out to the coast. Lucky to have great weather today with barely a muggle in sight, apart from those out in the waves showing off their board skills. Really enjoyed my walk and enjoyed picking up a few caches along the way too. Grabbed this one just before getting back to the car. Cache quickly found with the helpful hint. The log was full so I added another one, signed and replaced, thanks for the incentive to visit here, TFTC

An early morning walk along Piha beach so we stopped in to grab this cache. Nobody around so made a nice quick find. TFTC

What an amazing beach!

We're on a full day tour of Auckland today, with a fabulous guide! She had a magnet with her and was able to show us the huge amounts of magnetite on the beach. She dug down in the sand with the magnet and when she pulled it up, you could see what looked like tons of iron filings clinging to the magnet! Wow! Now that was a bit of show and tell I've never seen before! Favorite point! tftc!

Out and about with the elder Future Finder for some fun activities and, of course, a spot of cache detection. The tricky thing here was getting a park as the beach was rather busy. But we got lucky, nabbing one close to GZ as someone left. At GZ there was one obvious spot. A quick check and the goods were in hand. Nice to execute a super quick find. Cheers for the hide!

Its a rare opportunity to hunt for this cache and the cache at the ither car park, nice overcast day keeps the peeps away and allows me to hunt unimpeded. Eyeballed this a few times but always been busy, today was a snatch grab sign and replace. Yas. TFTC

Found it. Along with some sarcastic kiwis. - I had to explain to the Mrs what sarcasm was and how to detect it. Which turned out to be challenging.

TFTC. Today’s holiday plan was to head to a few Western beaches for a look. I visited and dipped my toes at Muriwai, Bethells Beach and Piha.
Fantastic fun, I also managed a few caches to put dots on my “NZ travelled map”.
Piha looks as amazing it does in the tv show!!

This one was fairly quickly picked up on the way out of Piha. There weren’t too many muggles around to bother me as it was getting close to dinner time, and after following the hint, the cache was spotted and I signed in. TFTC!

I was a bit confused because of the discription.
I think it isn't a magnetic keyholder anymore.
But the hint was helpful.
I was here to turn the white beach into a black one by letting it touch my soul
Weather wasn't that nice but there were bot many muggles around.

With a full carpark even on a Monday afternoon, it took some careful timing to be able to bend down discretely and make the find here. Thanks.

Came here today with a view to walk about a bit and let Albert the geohound enjoy Piha. The black sand in summer was going to be too hot for his sensitive paws so after getting this one we retreated to the car and decided to and go and look for the multi near here instead (good decision).

Lucky for us we got to find the replacement cache, which being new is in good condition and all as it should be. Thanks for the cache.

After a stormy night, it was pretty quiet at the beach. Nice easy early morning find. TFTC

Just out exploring before it's back to work so only attempted this one cache today in Piha, parked up right in front of it so only meters away. Looking for a magnetic container, instead I found small screw tip container with black tape that could only be described as interesting. Once opened back in the car, it revealed a replacement log that was placed yesterday! How lucky for us! Signed the new cache and happy to tick off one out this way today.

Second time I've looked for this one with no luck

Searched and dug around for this one. Even inspected some tacky chewing gum stuff. But no cache to be found.

I found lots of good spots where I'd expect to find a cache, but no luck. Could it have been removed/moved? Based on activity log, I would've expected this to be a quick find.

Awesome hide. Love the container.

Found this one together with looki on our way down from the north with our campervan. A really nice and interesting location. We stayed the night near the beach. And in the morning we walked to the cache. Great view!
