Cover of cache broken only half there, log wet and in tatters, needs fixing, TFTC
Found with Barny and family on a stroll along the beach while we were waiting for a table in the local cafe. What a lovely day today. The Pohutikawa trees were all in full bloom now.
We got a little wet as we walked back along the beach to the cafe... The tide was on its way in.
Find #1085. Thank you very much for the cache. 27/12/2014 12:50

From memory think we've tried to find this previously, although can't see the DNF log. Anyway tonight we seemed to look in a different place from last and found it quite quickly. Lots of action on the beach tonight with the wind and surf up around here. SL. TFTC.
On a day out caching along the coast with Butchie Bum, stunning weather and area, enjoyed caching along here, lovely spot on the beach, we found an interesting object and we were happy to find a little log hiden, great hide, TFTC
Took a bit of looking, but found it after a couple of minutes. The log book is sodden, needs replacing, along with a replacement plastic bag ( which is torn). Thanks!
Result though I did hit my hit on an overhanging tree trying to locate it. Ouch

Lots of seaweed around following the stormy weather and lots of flies near GZ thanks to something foul washed up, but an easy find using the hint. Good hide, TFTC.
A wonderfully wild and windy day. Wind surfers out in force, flying over the waves and through the air. Clever camo. TFTC
Sail on clive! With a launching point like this, how could you go wrong? Amazing place for a boat ride. Wind was up today in the channel, so you would have had to pass out of the land's wind shadow before making the cranking winds. Great camo on the cache. The wee plastic baggie has seen better days, but the log sheet is still fine. Cheers for the cache.
Final find out caching with alpenmilch80 today. Located after a brief search following a headlamp lit wander down the beach from the previous cache. The locals probably thought we were a bit odd!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Quick find after sunset with slieschke on our way back to auckland city. Niceee... Gets a fav. TFTC
Quick stroll with a coffee before the office options, such a beautiful day after the last horrid week of rain.great little cache and nice hide, TFTC
Looked for a while and actually picked up and discarded, rookie move by Mrs NZT, luckily Miss NZT returned to the well camoed cache and voila, done! TFTC
We grabbed this cache on a short walk along the beach after lunch. No problems grabbing the cache at GZ. TFTC!
At a birthday do at the sailing club so couldn't resist. Flipdags did the honours. Tftc
Located by ferret boy whilst the rest if us were looking at something else that looked like a cache
Couldn't attempt this one almost a year ago due to sunbathing muggles, but made a quick find today. Excellent camo!
Woke up early this morning and went for a walk on the nearby beach. Already Saw the 'spot' yestersay but it was way too busy to have a go. Now at 6.40 it was surprisingly busy but managed to grab the cache. Love the cammo. Very nice.

Continuing our great kiwi adventure honeymoon all the way from England! Last weekend of the holiday and we met here at Takapuna Beach for a BBQ with our Kiwi family. After the BBQ some went home, some went for a swim, I went caching. I looked surreptitiously for a while here but two men were sitting just where I wanted to search so I couldn't be thorough.
This took a few minutes, trying not to be noticed as we searched. Very nicely camouflaged thanks Glyn.
Super nice camoed cache out in the open that put a smile on our face teehee. Lots of muggles, but they dont really pay attention to us as most of them busy sunbathing or playing with the sands and water. However extreme stealth needed. TFTC!!
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See rebel98 log, even though the life guard was just down the road, and muggles were everywhere, we still had success with the find. Thanks again for the hide.

We are still walking, the car is parked further down the beach, pay and display parking everywhere At last we are on Takapuna beach. Its been a great quest, almost coming to an end, the sun came out, and the rain clouds went away. Clever hide, and to read about the local history. We want to move into the area! now we have to find the $$$, maybe lotto will help?
Looking to knock off a few post Christmas caches and started here with this one today. Busy place but easy enough to become inconspicuous - nice quick find and off to the next. TFTC
Nice quick one Still in the sun at this point - sure that a lot of the nearby residents could see us but we stealthed as much as possible. TFTC!
After a couple of DNF's this morning on the way to a family event nearby, I really needed a find. Headed over after the event and with a few muggles around didn't think I'd be able to have a decent search. Lucky for me the cache turned up in the first place I looked. Great camo!!!!
Shocked to read of mr. Roberts untimely death. Well hidden away from the Beach. loved the camo. Tftc
Had a bit of time in Takapuna before a movie, so wandered down to the beach for a bit of caching. The first of the day. Found it straight away, but that was because we knew it was a Glyn cache. Good camo as usual. TFTC.
Tough hide! It took about six or seven minutes for my wife to make the find while I entertained the kids on the beech. She was pretty chuffed with herself! Another great camo effort-earns a fav from us.
Could see where it should be, but it wasn't. Lovely spot this morning, though!
Really couldn't find this today. GZ was at rock wall, near the memorial. No loose spots, and it made sense for the cache to be higher placed.
Checked holes in the wooden boundary fence.
Checked the wooden retaining walls.
widened the search, but came up empty handed.

Yes sure it's gone. Found a metal plate lying around that cache was probably attached to.
Our second visit here, still with no luck. Part of the wall has given way so maybe the cachce has been lost or buried by the dirt
This was for us a DNF...We have looked everywhere behind the rock....but nope no cache.
During our visit in New Zealand we visited a lot of nice places, great caches and met so many nice people. Thank you very much to all those hid the caches, wrote the nice listings and dragged us to so many very interesting places. It was a nice experience during the whole trip and I am looking forward to coming back one day as there are so many places still uncovered, which I would like to visit .

Another day at the beach after the arrival, wich was good for getting used to the different time zone. So we took the time to spot another nice piece of craftswork.

No GPS needed, straight to GZ and only on look - bingo. Brilliant camo worth a favorite.

Easy find from memory no gps necessary. The gz is a dead give away with the memorial and all.TFTC
A nice quick find after our weekly State Beach Series event down at Takapuna Beach. As I'm down here weekly on a Tuesday I thought I had better grab this little guy. Thanks for the nice little hide
On our way on the beach, we found this one. Another great idea for a hiding place... a favorite!
Found it today, on a great day down the beach with friends, off to the pub, then off for a swim in Lake Pupuke. Before going home for drinks and movies. In all this busy time I only had time to grab one cache, so I chose this one. Sneaky hide, with a friend who knows a few Geocachers and will now be signing up soon. TFTC #26
The surf lifeguards were having an easy time as the misty rain was keeping everyone from the water! Just a few fitness freaks exercising along the low tide shoreline. Anoth great camo job from the master of disguise. Thanks G-2.
While attending a function at the boat club, my main objective was to get this particular cache. Thanks Todd for turning 40
Hi a simple find in a great position. GC needs a new log book. The Italian Job was here....!
Headed over to Takapuna this evening to find some of these beach caches with minimal concern for Muggles. Poked and prodded around GZ and soon found the camoed cached. Nice effort! Remembered the pen this time. Cheers for the cache!
A very fitting tribute and cache page. Our son raced optimists for a few years before he grew too tall and lanky then other interests took over, but I'd never heard the story of how the optimist dinghy came about so this was cool reading!
Parked the car nearby and waltzed down to the beach. Left the kids playing in the sand while we made a quick retrieval of the cache. Mr red inspected the handy work of your cache yet again so I'm sure there are going to be some new ones come out of the shed when we get home. Signed the log and replaced the cache without been spotted. Mr Red walked the kids around to the cache in the next bay while I drove the car around. TFTC

I've attempted this one a few times and have been unsuccessul due to muggles being in the vacinity and/or just not being able to locate it.
However, today proved to be a nice quick and straightforward find. The beach was busy but most were watching the water activity taking place.
The cache is nicely camo'd but something in my head made me grab for the right item and the cache was quickly in hand.

Nice quick find, loved the camo. Gets a favourite for the container. Oh and the full tide today was pretty good too. TFTC.

An awesome piece of camo once again, took the usual 5 minutes where as most non Glynn caches take less...
Peaceful find at 7 in the morning.

Too many muggles to sign log so will be back. Nice routering skills on cache.
