I was out west again for work and went to pick up a cache for my 150th straight day of caching. However GC.com went down on the stroke of 2pm for maintenance and I realised how much I use the phone these days. I pulled out the Garmin and checked what I still had in there. I did have a few caches out this way that I'd loaded ages ago but I wasn't sure which ones were still active. I thought this one was and I found how hard it is to navigate using only the pointer! Am used to Google Maps taking me to GZ.
Anyway after a few adventures I finally pulled up at a spot close to GZ. The grass was really long and the lack of a track through it made me think that it had been archived. I found a couple of possible locales but did a PAF to check if it was still active. Of course they couldn't check either with GC down! Anyway I got in the right spot and thought I saw something but no way to remove it. Got my tool from the car and soon had cache in hand. I think it had been put back in the opposite way to intended which made it a little tricky. Signed while still on the phone and replaced. Nice to chalk up 150 days of consecutive caching. That's another milestone for morley196 to place!
Thanks!

Our 6592nd overall find. Found with FarmerFrentzen on our tour around the area today. 79 finds in total for the day in temperatures up to 38 degrees
I had tried for this one twelve months ago and missed it as my PQ's were not up to date. Today this was a much quicker find.
Thanks Blundo Busters for the cache.

Cant believe it took me so long to see this one. As usual with a BB cache its all about viewing angle
The horses are back!
Due to the old barbed wire fence being loose, the owners on the neighbouring property have installed an electric fence. It is set 2 foot off their side of the old fence.
Please we wary of this as you conduct your searching.

Came by here with TeamSenz on a full day of caching...and by the time I had turned the car around to park...TesmSenz already had the cache in hand. Very thankful for a speedy find on a hot day.

Was in the area With MV, so we decided to grab a few caches. quick find with no muggles around
Spotted eventually after a bit of looking arround. Signed new log with J+J.au. TFTC
This area and the surroundings are developing so fast, when we were young all these areas were paddock for miles, now houses are poping up like mushrooms, log was full so we put a new log in it and it's ready for the next finder. TFTC
Nice easy find even in the dark. I have kept horses here over the years. A bit sad to see what's happening to the land. There was a pair of wedge-tailed eagles not far from here, and a pair of black swans were annual visitors to a dam in the newest area in this section to be over-run by humans.
Late in the day when we pulled up in the nearby street. Wandered over to GZ and managed to find this one pretty quickly with the help of the clue.
Great Sunday afternoon activity with the kids. There was no room to write on the paper inside:)
We were looking for a nice cache to fill one of our requirements for the GCA Geosportz game and this fit the bill perfectly. My GZ was a bit ambiguous so we had a good look around a few possible spots with no luck. We're not so good at micros at the best of times! A few of the neighbours across the road seemed to be keeping an eye on us and we were getting a bit worried that we ought to leave it go.
Then one of them came across and asked if we were looking for something. Yes we said! Turned out it was the CO and he assured us it was indeed still there. With this encouragement, I found the cache quickly . Turns out there are now 3 generations of fences here as a brand new shiny one was built only last week.
Great to meet Blundo Blusters and thanks for the help!

Found with blossom* and the CO It's amazing how quickly the old horse paddocks are being overtaken by suburbia.
Quite a trick hide but found it in a few mins. TFTH SL

Easy find, had it nailed in 2 minutes, but enjoyed the lengths Geocache hiders are going to these days, Thanks for bringing us here.
2nd attempt at this one, which was now easier as the grass has been cut. Clever little hide BB. TFTC
Had my “local knowledge gps” charligirl along on today’s blitz so finding my way around the estates made easier. Clue and log about carpet nails (lucky I had a tetanus shot only 3 weeks ago as I ended up needing it) narrowed down a quick determination of GZ and the sneaky hide.
Tricky little cache, I can see this one giving some people grief.

Wow the un mown grass looked worse than it actually was! Quick find by Geodaughter. I had horses near here. Thanks for the memories.
Someone has dropped some carpet nailing strips at GZ I knelt on one accidentally. Ouch

This was a sneaky hide - one thing of note is that there is a risk of getting cut so be careful at GZ. Not one for the very small. But a satisfying find TFTC
certainly sneaky. Had to get the HID or 'canned sun' out for this one. Will admit to taking a little longer than wanted. TFTC Blundo Busters
First look for the day, no luck for us. Looking at it now it looks like it was made unavailable. It must have been after I ran my PQ's last night...
Thanks anyway Blundo Busters.

I teamed up with Powerplayx2 today to find some caches around the Hills District. This was a quick find today, and the log sheet is a little damp, thanks.

Sadly no horses just want looks like developers signs.
Didnt have a detailed map so ended up on the wrong side of the old horse paddock but soon worked out the street address and parked near GZ
A quick search and CIH, SL and replaced
The cache body seems to be stuck in the host hiding thingy which is proably way the log was a bit damp

The grass was starting to get quite damp so after finding this one it was off with the thongs and on with the hike boots.

We had to detour around to get this one, as the Quakers Hill nursing home fire had happened this morning, so sad. Thanks BB.

It looks like local muggles have left their mark on the log. The cache was exposed... Its been tightened-up and put back into place.

A quick drive after finding Enigmatic and I pulled up close to GZ. Walked up and went straight for the hint, as I didn't want to hang out there too long. I then searched and saw cache. SL and replaced. Thanx BB, TFTC.

Out caching for the morning with "AMGSARI". This little blighter did not give up without a struggle however, "AMGSARI" spotted it first, we signed the log and replaced the cache as it was found.

The clue gives this one away. Had it in hand quickly. lid on cache may need some maintenance to prevent weather damage
Stop by for this on my way home from a couple in the area. With no one around it was very quiet @ 1:30pm. so I had the place to my self.
With limited places to hide it was just a matter of the letting your eyes do the work and there it was. SL and Rntd safe.Great hide guys.

Having just dropped geoson off at local cricket match, we went in search for horses and found it in no time at all. We had more problems with the pen not working very well but mangage to get the first 3 letters of our username down on log paper before ink run out. TFTC

"Is it here?" I asked the horse.
"Neigh!" he replied.
"It's here," the WaywardWoman called to me.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked my equine partner as the WaywardWoman signed.
"I'm under contract with Blundo Busters," the horse said. "No eating at all or the whole thing is pointless. My legs are wobbly and my eyesight's failing. Call the RSPCA. Call my cousin Trigger. I want to see my lawyer."
I left him standing next to the cache as we returned to the car.
"What's his problem?" the WaywardWoman asked.
"He wanted to be fed," I said, "But it's more than that hors-desoeuvres."
Thanks

A nice quick easy find while passing through the area. No sign of any one watching us check out the fence today.

Thanks for the cache.
Stopped by this semi-rural/semi-suburban roadside on my way back to work from the Blue Mountains -- this time in broad daylight and in the middle of the day.
A older middle-aged couple were sitting on the veranda of their house opposite, but I went about my 'business' in an official fashion, wearing my hat and fluoro vest.
After completing the logging formalities, I walked nearer to them as I went returned to the GeoBuru2, said hello, and had a short and friendly conversation with them. They thought I was with the Council and I didn't try to dissuade them. They didn't seem to be worried at all, although the woman said that she'd seen others 'checking the fence' lately! I told them that there was indeed a kind of 'survey marker' there.
My suggestion to future geocachers is to give them a smile and a cheery wave if they're watching you from across the street. They're not young people, probably retired, and seem unlikely to go checking up on the cache or bothering it in any way.
All was in good order except that I couldn't actually remove the little cache container from its 'place' -- and didn't try -- so I just unscrewed the top and easily removed the log scroll that way. And the log was nice and dry. TNLNSL.
Nice little hide! Very good use of the old existing 'structure' for a hiding place.
Many thanks to Blundo Busters.

Nice quick find at night, although found it very strange that the house directly opposite the road from GZ has all its blinds open and at one point there was someone having a sneaky look. Put it back while they weren't looking out the window. TFTC
The boys each checked a different spot, with the eldest having a great day!

Been here a few times over the years. How long before she gets built out? Maintenance shouldn't be a problem til then. Anyway, happy birthday geobuster#2. TFTC.
Woohoo my 1st 1st to find nice and within 15 min of getting email TFTC, was just about to walk out the door to do some stuff and it popped up in the direction I was going. with the competition in this area being so fearsome for FTF I thought there may be a crowd.

I saw this one pop up while I was cooking dinner and low and behold it was within 150m of my house.
A short walk to GZ a little later and it was found without too much trouble.
Thanks Blundo Busters for the cache.
