Such an obvious spot but no cache in sight….looked for other likely spots but nothing
No luck here today at an obvious natural feature. Looks as though the cache may have resided on the up valley, lower side of this feature. Looked to see if a micro had replaced the original larger container but no luck. Didn't see anything obvious scattered around.
Headed down here to grab a few caches. Very sad to see the village after its recent fire. Glad nobody was hurt. Cache all good here. TFTC thegingermoose
Today we biked along the bottom of Lake Ohau around to the weir.
Great bike ride on a lovely day. Caches were mostly easy to find .
sorry for all the copy and paste but need to get these finds logged.
TFTC and making this ride even more interesting with caches placed often enough for a break from riding. And a chance to take some photos of some amazing views.

Parked the bikes on the side of the road and headed across for a view of the lake. TFTC
A windy day but a nice walk along side the lake led me here for a qef. Lid was off the container but contents all in good shape.
No people around, huh, how about that. Level 4, day 11. I've placed the paper log pages into nearly chronological order. Please maintain. The back page is the owners setting page. Thx.
An enjoyable weekend enjoying the scenic McKenzie area, and finding some great caches along the way. TFTC
It took a few minutes to find despite our insistence that it was here. Another great view! What a great country we live in!
Nearly at our accommodation for the night but always good to stop. Thanks for the cache thegingermoose
One can only imagine exactly what the name means, but it is a cool track with a great view of the lake. Extremely windy today. Thanks for placing.
We found a number of caches on this trip - thanks to all the hiders for there hides. Trying to get these all logged.

A bit wet today, so onto plan C biking and driving A nice quick find. Cheers.
KiwiLegend was looking for a partner in crime to find a few caches around Omarama, so I volunteered to join in on the adventure. Had a great weekend, some biking, some canoeing, some FTF, some lonely and a very lonely cache. Thanks KL

A quick find today while out exploring in the district. Dropped TB here so it can continue its journey. TFTC [^]
Found while strolling the area after settling in to our accommodation for the evening. We are cycling A2O and logging the odd geocache as circumstance allows.
Phew - it’s a bit blustery down here this morning! Not too good for a swim today! TFTC
Amazing day again. This is proper wild NZ, not like the tourist traps and tat of Tekapo.
Supporting a group doing the A2O so while they rested this afternoon, I'm doing some exercise! Warm but windy but what an awesome view. Tftc
Log in great condition with original book. Fin might have liked a swim today, warmest spring on record.
Our vacation or road trip through New Zealand led here.
Great view over a silent lake
Thank thegingermoose for showing this spot and maintain the cache.

We wandered rather than frolicked along to GZ as we returned from a trip alongside Lake Ohau. We had a spare log with us having read a previous log, but it was not needed. The cache is fine and the log perfectly dry. We think the cacher may have confused this with another cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It's a lazy day for me today and after sleeping in, I step in the car to go to Lake Ohau. I've been around the lake and on my way back I passed this one again, of which I didn't have a clue how to park my car and get here. Then I saw a place to park my car without annoying everybody else and walked to the cache, which was found quickly. Thanks for hiding!
Second cache, today. We make the cycling tour A20 to the coast. It's a pitty, that it's a bit hazy today. The best light is an hour before sunset. Greetings from Germany.
Found with MrandMrsChosen1978 on our Waitangi Weekend road trip, Thanks for the placement. Enjoyed the views out over the lake.
Found by mrandmrschosen1978, with Granville86a, while on a road trip over Waitangi Weekend. We started off traveling through Central Otago and on up to the McKenzie Basin exploring Lake Ohau to Mt Cook one day, then we spent another day by heading down the Waitati Valley before heading back down south. As we explored these areas we found this cache along the way. Thank you for the placement
Fefe.adrien and I went to the lake Ohau for visiting. Despite some showers we enjoyed the view on the lake and mountains around.
So quiet in winter...
Easy found for all boxes.
We signed on the logbook with our team name : Lekiprokos

The weather is not perfect, but Ninalila and I choose to visit this side of the lake and enjoy some caches.
We discovered nice places and views and liked walking around.

nice quick find after a long days tramping in over from the maitland hut , a nice park and grab for my sore feet tftc
Heading to the Temple to go tramping, and had to stop for a cache or two on the way. Found with Aoraki Sheep
Found fairly easily. As with every spot around Lake Ohau it is beautiful here, a great place for a cache. We had an extra bit of adventure when I opened the little case that contained the logbook & the first two pages blew away. We were caching with friends & one of them was brave enough & quick enough to chase down the escaped pages so that we could return them to the cache. TFTC.
This was motivation number two for a beautiful evening walk, the first having already been signed further up the hill. Here for just one night on way south from Blenheim.
After riding the Twizel to Ohau part of the cycleway it was time to pick up one by cachemobile instead of bike.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
It was a really stormy day, and the lake was really rough. We had to hurry up logging, as the wind was cooling us down.... brrrr.... TFTC
