I was quite keen to complete the current Hidden Creatures souvenir challenge and so I thought that I would focus my attention on this series. So I came down from Auckland to begin just as the sun was coming up. I was in absolutely no hurry at all and just enjoyed the experience. Over all I found most of the caches with only three DNF’s. I also met Team BOPnJAM in the process which was cool. It was quite adventurous at times with the traffic and trying to find places to park… but I got there safely in the end. Some of the log books were also too mushy to sign. So thank you McCutchan Cache Clan for taking the time to set up this series. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so ?
We had some extra time today and thought this power series would be a nice trip down memory lane for us. Thanks for some easy to find caches, but you do need to watch the traffic on a Sunday afternoon.
This one was also NQR - was beside white sign, but could not fit behind. Was also 9 m out and a more accommodation white sign was at where my gps told me it should be. Left where found. Thanks for the cache MCC
With Hidden Creature souvenirs up for grabs. A plan was hatched with our Westie buddies. We were all ready for a stormy rainy day but the weather gods were good to us today with no rain until getting home at 10pm. A great numbers trail with many of these caches needing maintenance, we will definitely have to restock caching kits as many log sheets were mush and unsignable!!. Still a fun day was had by all and many thanks McC for giving us a reason to come here. Please excuse my cut and paste logs in advance due to numbers. Cheers
Out with friends today collecting caches for the hidden creatures souvenirs this power trail was a good option to get half the souvenirs. Looks like it was a busy day on the trail with alot of people having the same idea.
Thanks MC Clan .
Thanks MC Clan .
Another big trip planned this time in an effort to obtain all the Hidden Creature Souvenirs. Team BOP (Davidson clan, McJandals, Frogybecaching, TNXPro & myself) joined with a couple of Westies (Jag50&Merlot58) to fill up the van and finish this series... and most of Huntly as well! We signed the logs as BOPnJAM for expedience and to save on log space.
I've always thought this was a really good idea for a power trail but getting motivated to do it was an issue. Today we've got a good team on and were able to knock this off in a couple of hours. 95% of these were found quickly with accurate coords and a good hint. Some logs were mush, some containers were broken and at least 1 was missing entirely. All of our cache repair kits will need restocking when we get home but we're all stoked to have *'picked up 52'* caches.
A big thank you to the McCutchan Cache Clan, we had a good day

Out with team BOPnJAM today to knock off the long anticipated 52.
This series didnt quite win our hearts, but we aced it and managed to score the full deck with a little maintenance on the way. It sure was a good way to clock up a large number of caches in quick succession and were were glad to have completed it.
Thanks for the series MCCC.
I see this has been archived at the request of the resident. This is disappointing, as the cache is clearly in the Road Reserve and not on private land, especially as it wasnt even hidden when we found it - it was just lying on the ground on the road side of the boundary fence.

We made up a team BOPnJAM with a group of cachers from the BOP (McJandals, TNxPro, Philip Perry, FrogyBeCaching and Davidson Clan) and Merlot58 to complete this 52 cache pickup series and to earn some some of the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. Great weather and great company and a lot of fun - TFTS
Out for a day's caching with Team BOPnJam. Most were quick easy finds and a little bit of maintenance. This was a card game I never found enjoyable, but this was a better way to play the game. Thanks for bringing us over this way.
Sunday trip on the bikes to complete 52 Cache Pickup - Waikato's power trail. Great company of Janno216. We just had one DNF today. Plesant day - great wetaher for cycling and joy! Thanks for placements. We had great time along Waikato river.
Some time ago tramyard and me already thought about doing this 52 Cache Pickup Trail. Today we both were free and it didn't rain so we made our way to Ngaruawahia (what a name !), prepered our bikes and started our journey.
All the Caches were fairly hidden and very easy to find. A couple of them were really wet so we were not able to sign the logbook. We only had one DNF, so we were done after three hours and made our way to the Bonus Cache after a nice lunch breake.
After this tour we had still time to find some local Caches.
We had great fun finding all These Caches!
Thank you McCutchan for hiding all of These!

Fun day out, thankfully with little rain, with cragger, laval and Dragon.Griffin collecting this series. We found all except 2, a few were quite wet so we dried as best as we could. I think we did them back to front but found ok parking in most spots so was no issue. Loved the document that you uploaded which we ticked off as we went.
Thanks for the caches.
Thanks for the caches.
I was out on a fabulous day caching with Keylev, Laval & Dragon.Griffin.
Thanks for the cache McCutchan Cache Clan.
Thanks for the cache McCutchan Cache Clan.
This was a series that myself and Keylev had wanted to do for a while. As it was the school holidays we made a plan to complete it today with Cragger and Laval as well. We did the series back to front which meant some parking spots were a little tight, especially with the amount of big trucks steaming along that road but we completed the series with two only DNFs. Unfortunately it was those two that had the codes we needed for the Joker Bonus. After a few tries with different coordinate scenarios we settled on one that was plausible and made our way there and soon had the cache in hand.
This was cache number 15 and a quick find , TFTC!

Nahkins and I set off to find the Pack of Cards caches. 53 in total. As Nahkins wasn't feeling a 100% she did the driving and I did the hunting. There were times we both did the hunting. Very busy road and not many places to park it was drop me then find a park. I found 42, Nahkins 9 and 2 DNF. While we had a cuppa we solved the Joker cache. #38. Another "All Good" find. TFTC
NZPatoto and I set off to find the Pack of Cards caches. 53 in total. We were going to bike but as I wasn't feeling 100% I offered to drive and NZPatoto did the finding. There were times we both did the hunting. Our road was very busy, with a cop car travelling south with lights flashing. SH1 heading south was at a crawl until lunchtime. Parking was interesting, would have been better in a 4x4. A few times I would drop NZPatoto and then find a park. I did manage to find 8 and there was 2 DNF. While we had lunch and a coffee we solved the Joker cache. #38 of 53 Found by NZPatoto. All good. TFTC
Stopped at every cache along the trail, replaced log sheets and containers as needed, relocated 2 of them to better places. Trail is now 100% ready, happy cache hunting.
Check the drop box link in Ace of Hearts GC34EG3 for an updated spreadsheet that contains updated information for each cache.

#5032. Had a short but enjoyable stay in Auckland. Now its time to head home to Wellington for Christmas. But first another mission. My DGSC bulk find challenge concludes on Boxing Day and by then I will be trying to find up to 200 caches to bring up 1500 qualifying finds this year. So have three full on days of caching ahead of me before I get back home. Today I am tackling some Waikato power trails and staying overnight in Te Aroha so I can visit the old timer cache 101 tomorrow morning. Time to do the 52 cache pick up series. Quite a lot seem to be missing unfortunately. After a while I got pretty picky about the pick-ups and only stopped for those with recent finds or not in the direct gaze of muggle houses. Still a good series to get the numbers up quickly. Managed to find 28 between 3pm and 7pm then time to head off to Te Aroha. Thanks for the caches McCutchan Cache Clan. Nice quick find here.
nice easy park and find on an early monday morning..... the showers are ruining it a bit but must be getting close to my target.
The farm is flying the Korean flag, there's something pleasing about the fact that a Korean family are farming here, I don't know why. Found the cache no problem, but the container is badly broken and needs replacing - have logged a NM. TFTC.
Having an enjoyable trip along the river bank. Thanks for another one. Log is full. Lid broken.
I was in Hamilton for the weekend for the Dahlia Show. Today I planned to find 120+ caches - the pack of cards series was the first to attack. A lot of the logs were full, and I just stamped where I could. I replaced some with paper where the containers weren't too wet. I just found 41 of this series - 7 DNF, & 4 didn't stop to look as they had had some DNF's. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for this series.
I set out today to find the caches on the 52 Cache Pickup power trail. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for placing the caches.
Having a flight home from Auckland this evening I took my mum out for a nice lunch, said my farewell and slowly cached my way north along the river. TNLN, TFTC McCutchan Cache Clan
NB: the container is broken

We're going to have to get on our way again soon. We still have a long way to go tonight. Thanks for the series
On a mission today to find 120 + as a team of 4. All logs signed Naki 4
Team is Blenheim Bear Thatsneat Tmninjaturtle and 2 Bulbars.
It was a fun filled day finding many sorts of different caches and visiting many interesting places.
Many thanks to all who placed these caches to help make it such an enjoyable day
Found this with the team "Naki 4" (Blenheim Bear, 2Bulbars, TMNinjaTurtle and myself) on our mission from Huntly to Hamilton on our hunt to 120. Was a long day but pleased to have it completed! Thank you for the cache.
The white post ones are easy to find! Another quick grab, TFTC

On my way up the line for a week of r&r and stopped for a couple of nights in Hamilton to pick up some caches. Decided to do this power trail to up my numbers. Another quick stop. Nice drive along the river. Have travelled the other side many a time but never this road. Lovely views of river. 90% of these caches need some sort of maintenance.
With Miss Davieland safely dropped off in Huntly at her grandparent it seemed a good time to try this power trail. Nice quick find. Log is wet but could get my name on it. TFTC. On to the next one. Lid is broken.
Found this series a couple of months ago...not sure of the date. Have just found all the details of this picturesque trip up the river. Have not traveled on this road before. Thank you for the placement of all the caches.
On a brief road trip with tmann421 today collecting the 52 Cache Pickup Series. A few DNFs along the way, but managed to collect most of them. A nice quick find at this one The lid was broken. A lovely drive along the river. TFTC and the series McCutchan Cache Clan.
After doing the 101 in Auckland this one was second on the list, after spending the day at rainbows end with the boys we headed down here to get the rest, added our card and all done with a twisted ankle, and one loving husband who has been my driver, only had a couple of dnf so a great day and and now to rest the body and have a well need beer, thanks for taking the time to place the caches. (Sorry for the copy and paste logs)
With rustynz finding a few more caches from the "52 Pickup Series"
Just a little behind with the logging, the PA discovered I had not logged these.
Tricky parking, a busy road, a bit of a cut thru, so cops about.
Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan for the series, maybe one day will get them all.

Broken box for this hide! water tipped out (hmm they get a lot of rain out here - luckily waterproof paper)
Thanks for the hide
Thanks for the hide
The good thing is - by now I know what this clue means, so I'm able to leave the phone in the car charging. It's gone a bit flat with todays efforts. TFTC.
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

Second day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards south. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka.
This day we started to head towards south and to Christchurch Mega event. We cached also this nice little power trail on our way to Hamilton. Nice views and easy containers.

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
We had enough time to get this series before the event in Hamilton. TFTC!

On a north island road trip with my father who I am introducing to Geocaching. Started in Napier and are heading right up to Cape Reinga! Thank you for placing this cache.
We had a few days to spare so decided to head over from Whangamata to Huntly to check out the local walks and of cause grab some of the caches in the area. TFTC
Night caching. Quite hard too do along here without bring attention to yourself. It had its moments but all in all wasn't too bad an experience. Most of the containers had water in them but the waterproof logsheets were hanging in there. TFTC
Our first attempt at a power trail - and we loved it - GPS was bang on every time - and the clues are great
Heading home from the long weekend and thought we'd try to do as many on this trail as we can before we join back into the traffic. I think we have done our dash today, one more of this power trail. Will have to complete it another day. Tftc
Picking them all up today with All about that cache, Biartch79 & Newlynfam. Tftc.
Decided to tackle this today and split into two cars to divide and CONQUER!!
That which we did with Gonna Cache Em All and Biartch79 and Newlynfam.
Thanks for all the great hides, a few stumped us but we got there in the end
Tftc and the adventure!!

Another easy find on a sunny day. The last of this series to be found today as I have many kilometres to travel. I'll be back to get the rest -no worries about that. TFTC.
Out today in all the types of weather possible, to try and find as many of these series as we could - ended up finding 46 which is a new record TFTC and adventure
Had a visit with the alpacas. Quick find with Cremasteel1, TGHawkey, Frizred, ethey783 and CaellumS2002
The alpacas are really cute. Woohoo, with firizred, tghawkeye , caellums2002, chuckles12, ethey783 for our second get together to finish off pick up 52. Great find, tftgc:)
I hadn't done a power trail before and being in New Zealand with the goal of reaching 2,000 finds while here, this looked good. Unfortunately we didn't find them all, but definitely had a good go at it. We had a Campervan to deal with and geokiddies. All the family (5) had fun leapfrogging cache to cache.
The ones we didn't find was Queen of diamonds, I had a good look but couldn't find it
The next one was Jack of Diamonds and this was only because it was hard to drop me off this time (rare time that I was in the van). We also missed five of spades because of the electric fence and the last one because of the darkness and not being a good parking spot. We loved the waterproof log paper. We also loved the friendly farm animals on the way: pig, horse and chickens were the friendliest. Loved the hints that lead as to them pretty quickly too (except for one). Majority was done on foot.
A favourite for this series

Beautiful day for a bike ride, so we decided to come all this way from Tauranga and see how far we got.
Quite a long way as it turned out, but we got too hot in the afternoon sun and decided to finish the rest another day. Interesting to read the logs now to see how cachers have enjoyed your hard work setting the trail McCutchan Clan. Thanks from us. A lovely day out.

Organised a day out with WEEO while he was over from OZ. Just the incentive we needed to do this trail which has been on our list for a long time. We met at Huntly, left the rental car there and headed to Ngaruawahia in the Geomobile for a team assault on the trail.
Another great team effort by WEEO and Mr S.
Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan. Another smilie face.

I had a great day out with Spiderhouse doing this trail. Thanks so much McCutchan Cache Clan for your work in putting it together TNLN SL [^]
A lovely day to tackle this line of caches, was a nice easy find - the hint and the co-ordinates led us right to it
Decided it was time to nail this series (before my annual leave is over!) so we took off this morning. Five hours later we (shellabellabee and myself) had finished them all bar one DNF. Woohoo - a great series, just a shame that it's such a busy road with the trucks from the quarry. TFTC - appreciate that it would have been time consuming to produce
A great day out with Team Rembrandt63. (see Ace of Hearts). I did a fair bit of running between the caches and had my fair share of finds by myself although usually an adult wasn't too far behind. Think I found over 90% of them with someone, and definitely more than my sister, LOL. Good fun also with dad, grandpa, and a friend. TFTC ,and series. What else were us males suppose to do, with Flossey63 and Kittycat432 reactions?
Found as Team Rembrandt63 (Godfreyh Doandhopers Flossy63 Kittycat 432 and Cartec53). Conquering the series today. TFTC and series
Nice find with Team Rembrandt 63. Thanks for the cache and series. Had lots of fun with grandpa, dad, a friend and my brother.
Found as part of team Rembrandt63, with Godfreyh, doandhopers, Kittycat432 and Cartec53, got more than I bargained on this one, pulled it out then realized I had just stuck my hand in a earwig nest, jumped back throwing the cache, and shaking them off me while kittykat432 cracked up in laughter, the other 3 ( typical males ) stood wondering what all the shrieking was about Lol !, ( ok I hate earwigs eww ! ) TFTC and series,
Not only found the cache behind the hint, but also a cockroach nest. It was higher up and the cockroaches fell on to cache while retrieving, eeeew! TFTC
On our trip to New Zealand we walked this power trail on a very sunny day. TFTC.
Found ... Mrs McMike2012 decided that we would head down towards Hamilton & try a couple of cycling/mountain biking trails/tracks ... starting at Horotiu & heading towards Te Rapa & Pukete ... and doing some caching on the way ... had a good time doing those caches ... we had previously done about half of the '52 Cache Pick-Up' series & decided we'd do a few more of these on the way home .. this one was easily found & replaced ... we deliberately left both the 5 & 4 of Diamonds alone as there were 'muggles' in driveways, which we decided we're just a little bit too close for comfort ... we'll come back another day for those two missing from the 'run of cards' ... all in all a good time had by us. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #769 for us.
A day starting with picking up 52 close to Hamilton and then meandering down to National Park Village via Waitomo. Really enjoying this NI sojourn and managing to find a few caches too. Thanks.
