Hi rednuam6
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

This cache is definitely GONE. DO NOT COME SEARCHING. Electric fence is LIVE. Do come if you don't have an AED at home and St.John's is busy.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
I'm on a week's annual leave, choosing to spend time traveling north to visit and reconnect with a few friends up here, and naturally that also gives me an opportunity to do some caching up this way again. Today is day 3, which involves driving from Kaiwaka to Whangarei and back.
I was now making my leisurely way back towards Kaiwaka, which meant going off at tangents on back roads to look for caches such as this one. Found GZ. Didn't find a cache.
Given that it's supposed to be an easy find, and the last such find was 3.5 years ago, and that the CO appears to be inactive, I'm going to skip the NM phase and go straight to NA.

The Elder Future Finder and myself are making the trip to my parents, North of Dargaville, collecting a few hides along the way. We decided to make the short detour from SH1 to have a look for this one. We parked up and I crossed the road and I sprung up the bank to find the cache. Unfortunately, after a decent look I wasn't able to find the hide. Its a bit concerning since others describe a quick find of a good sized container. With no finds in 10 months I am worried this one may be missing.
Lots of bee's today. And also not really dressed for caching, so almost gave this one a miss. Should be ok I thought before stepping in the mud. Ah well. Got the cache. TFTC
A bit of a scramble. The kid I borrowed fell in the drain. I laughed, she not so much. TFTC.
Yay....finally got this one thanks !
So many times I have whizzed past BaldRock Rd..
So today I did a U turn !
Nearly thought I couldn't pass as there was roadworks being done near here and " Stop / Go " people !

Quick find by miss 10. But different story putting it back when a large bull comes over to the fence. TFTC
Made a quick detour when passing here today to hopefully grab my one cache for the day. Grass was certainly longer than expected, but cache was a quick find as it was out in the open on the ground. Signed log and replaced the cache container back in accordance with the hint. TFTC
It's not Summer today and there is no humming this morning but it was a nice quick PnG for another cache in my 36 Degree Challenge. TFTC
I was taking my son down for his first year at Auckland Uni today. Took the chance to grab some caches along the way. I wanted this for my 36° challenge. A lovely day and an easy find, TFTC
Exploring this back road and enjoying the sights. Plenty of bees around the hives but not near the cache. TFTC
Time to head back down the line after my week in Whangarei. Was originally planning to stay in Hamilton, but didn't realise the All Blacks were playing there tonight, so then looked at Taupo, but all accommodation is booked out there too, so Rotorua ended up being my target for the day, caching on the way. Another quick detour off the highway, if I keep this up it will take me all day to get to Auckland. Easy find here. Tftc
Found with ease, husband found out that it's not such a good idea to balance yourself using an electric fence. Lol TFTC
I'd just picked up some honey from my favourite bee keeper in Ruakaka so why not pop in and watch where some of the hard work is done on my way home. Thanks for the nice dry tidy cache
We parked next to the bee hives, so its certainly humming today! Loved the well stocked cache, thanks for the hide, and bringing us here
Found it! After not finding so many it's good to finally find one! Easy to find. Will be a good one for the kids.
Out and about with Miss Davieland collecting some local caches. Nice quick find. TFTC.
Had three more caches on my list for this mini expedition, but ran out of time so this was my last one. It's officially summer, but the stormy weather today meant I didn't hear any of our buzzy friends. Made a quick find after the big step and scramble. That long grass really soaks your shoes through after a downpour! Picked up a cute TB. Thanks for the cache, even though it wasn't buzzy today!
I got a real buzz from doing this cache.
First, the bees, then the electric fence near GZ.
Word to the unwise, don't relieve yourself here. You will not enjoy the .... **** ARGH $#**¥ ***
Dropped a TB hoping to get some more love for the cache.
Thanks!

A nice quick find in hopefully a quiet area... not! Just as I run up the bank and make the find a van full of people drive past.. Just my luck! No issues though.
It was quiet today, so everyone must be taking a nap. TFTC.
Why does a bee hum? It doesn't know the words.

A Bit of buzzing going on near the bushline, quick scramble up the bank and signed the log nestled under the tree.TFTC.
A massive day ahead... Today's adventure requires 50 caches with at least a kilometre of separation. It's also a Dot Day for me... And we are interested in finding any caches that were published within a week of today... No problem! Out with Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We have a planned route that will take us as far north as Waipu (Northland).
Not a buzzing, humming bee in sight... The view across the road was impressive though. A quick find here, but we did have to perch and balance, or risk slipping down into the waterlogged drain below. TFTC.

Frost at home this morning and 2 degrees and today is going to be a biggie for us. Planned to attempt our challenge of 50 caches a kilometre or more apart, problem is we have almost cleaned out all caches within 100km's of home so arranged with Hemi (Squirrel Nutcase) to pick up at 6am and head north. For some reason I was up at 3.15am, so this just added more time to my day. Caching was a little sparse until we got to about Silverdale. State Highway 1 was very busy and with caches on both sides of road, watchful eyes were very important.
3.55pm - All quiet here today, perhaps it is the cold weather. Great rock. SLTFTC

Todays plan was for a further attempt to increase my unique Minutes for the 400 Minute Challenge in Manawatu. I only needed an extra dozen or so to tip me o=ver the magic mark and, with a plan to head further North than before (whilst a cacher), there was a good chance of success. Built the plan aroubnd the barrier caches spread evenly along the upper S H 1 and also another couple of Letterbox hybrids and an Earth cache at Hikurangi. The hope to also fit in Waipu Cove and Mangawhai Head was a step to far. Settled for 53 caches all up, 23 new minutes so mission accomplished and I can now claim another D/T for my grid. Many thanks to all the C Os whose caches I found today. Got to see some cool sights of lower Northland and help my little missions along. Got all the North ones on the way up and the South ones on the way back down. Yay

Lucky last cache of the day, another nice placement and a decent sized container

A road we've never been on & enjoying the exploration on the way to my parents new place. Tftc
Accompanied by the Cache-Help Ingrid
Bernd found it after a little climbing-tour.

Called in on the way to drop off my bike for the Top of the Rock event....the spot is already starting to hum & will be a hive of muggle activity later in the day!! Added some swag. TFTC!

Out for a drive and caching with Reveurs. A quick find after a bit of a scramble. The grass is indeed deeper than it looks, there are some hollows hidden in the grass. TFTC.
On a road trip back from the Hokianga, trying to secure some more caches for our GIO Licence.
Getting to GZ proved to be a bit of a challenge but once there, the cache was soon in hand.
Last cache for the day.

Wicked! easy find, I weirded out my mates when I ran out out the car and came back with a little sheep toy haha
Found it a couple of weeks ago (24/8/14) but didn't get around to logging it. TFTC
A different viewpoint was needed to find this, my 3rd cache. I wouldn't recommend wearing jandals after heavy rain
Today we headed from Mangawhai Heads to Kaiwaka finding caches along the way. We enjoyed our drive around the lush green countryside.
Todays trip was with a new geocacher TuiMarie.
Thanks for placing this cache rednuam6
The branch that formed part of the V the cache was wedged in had broken off at lid height. When the farmer comes to repair his fence he will first have to remove the branch and would likely discover the cache. With that in mind I relocated the cache about a metre away, the clue still fits, so hopefully all will be well.

YEAY Finally I got to get this, I've been meaning to get it for months now .
Yes the grass is thick and some of it is cutty grass too so mind which humps you grab hold of.
I plonked my butt on the top and found cache pretty much straigh away. The camo is peeling off so white plastic is starting to show through.
Bees were working, just as you said they would be!!
TFTC. I have left my little round number disc 115 along with the TB
Cheers

There was no humming this wet winter's morning, but there was a cache to find. Thanks.
A nice quiet rural hide. Couldn't see any behives but it is late autumn so perhaps they will be back in the summer.
Many thanks
Many thanks
#924 Not a lot of humming going on today but thankfully the cache was found without any hassle. TFTC!
Out caching around parts of Northland with Tufty. I was glad I was here in late Autumn as the temperature was keeping the local inhabitants quiet. Not a sound was heard. The cache was a quick find. Thanks.
With BaldEd staying with me for a couple of days it was a joint decision to go North to pick off a few caches in the S36 degree bracket.
I was very glad the cache is on the other side of the road. It was even humming today.
Cheers for the cache.

There was a bit of discussion about which forkin' tree the cache might be in, and slieschke went off to check another tree, but it was in the (obvious) forkin' tree all along. Silhouetted by the moonlight, I reckon that hill should be called boob rock, not bald rock. And that was just the start of the conversation... TFTC!!!
Discussion took a turn for the worse as funkymunkyzone cracked out his forkin' Irish accent and inappropriately named the local rock, despite only being offered a teasing silhouette of it at night. Somehow despite all this we managed to find the cache.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Found after dodging many bees and enjoying the long grass.. not. Great source of bees nearby; )

I only took this road because a friend told me about the bald rock. It's just above the beehives and walkable takes about 1 hr. Tftc.
Had to Be quiet as we didn’t want to disturb the workers, glad to sign this one off quickly with Yeetrees before the swarms arrived….. am sure the place would Be a hive of activity later on, TFTC.
This was the next cache that was on my list of caches that I was doing on my trip around Northland to pick up a few caches.
The name of the cache made me wonder what it was about initially and then once I read this hint it stated to make some sense. Know the issues that we are currently experiencing with Varroa Mites, I think that we need to support our bee industry as much as possible, as most of the food that are on our tables in some form or sort require the bees to pollinate something and with this it starts the cycle of life, from a small grain of pollen to a fruit that is in a market place, a flower that changes and drops seeds to produce something outstanding. I just cant imagine what it will be like if we don't have any bees pollinating our plants.
Arriving at GZ there was no signs of any humming, and it only to a few seconds to narrow down the hiding spot after initially looking at the wrong spot and missing the cache initially. Signed the cache and then replaced and we were soon on our way to the next cache in the list.
Thanks for placing the cache here and thanks for bringing me to another spot that I havent being down before, as I use to just stay on SH1 when I used to travel to Kerikeri for work before I took up Geocaching. Them's were the days that when you left home you could basically work out approximately how long it would take you to get from point A to B as there was no need to stop at an intermediate point and have to search for a container in a tree or something else. Decided to do a bit of a day tour of Northland and grab some easy drive-bys in the process. Thanks.
Had a huge day planned today to gather at least 50 caches which were at least 1km apart from the last, for part of the geo-licence series. We started out earlier with the first cache found just after sun rise, and the last log being signed about 15 hours and near 500kms later.
We had an epic time on this trip and saw some great places along the way, through an area we had both travelled through many a time but never stopped. Thanks for everyone who had placed a cache along our route so we could finally stop and see the sights.
#2. a little too early for the bees this morning as it was nice and quite as we found the cache. A little search and we soon had it in out hands. Took TB.

Stopped to adjust kids car seats and change them into PJs on way home. Well, after the cache that is. TFTC!
#1658, Found container in the long grass, replaced back in tree, hopefully it will stay in place. TFTC
Great description, grass was awesome, young cacher felt the "hum" of the electric fence lol tftc
I was heading to Mangawhai to met Sue and did a slight detour to pick up a couple of caches. No worries here and there was a bit of a hum in the air
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We headed North for the weekend and decided to take our time and tour some of the back roads on our way up. A nice quick find here, while the busy bees kept working across the road. TFTC!

Coming south on our way down to Leigh for a weekend and decided this would be a nice stop for my 1st cache on the 31 days challenge. Nice and quiet at GZ, no humming. A wee scramble up the bank avoiding the cutty grass and cache was soon in hand. Nice hide. TFTC
1.50pm. All quiet today. Good place to park and soon found the cache.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Heading to Whangarei for work to see our rep so thought it was time that I did what was right and collect the odd cache, Made for a nice diversion while heading north.
Luckily the weather meant that the hum was contained in its proper place and didn't stray towards myself

Oh for kikuya grass, so springy. Another quick find while having a wee detour while homeward bound today. Signed the new empty log . Tucked back and enjoyed the spring in the grass back to the car. Not many bees out as far to cold here today.
