Logs
With sadness, I am Archiving this cache as I have been unwell this year and it's not likely I will get to reinstate it in the next few months. I am told by posts that there is no container there anymore. I hope that someone can eventually put something good here, so the spot continues to be found and appreciated.
Beut of a spot and a good walk too it. However after spending some time looking and finding the spot I believe it was in after looking at prior logs it seems that this log has unfortunately been taken or lost. Judging by prior logs it seems that the owner has not maintained this cache in a while. But still TFTC
Found the spot it should be and it was not along with searching the general area for it with no luck. If it is there and I haven’t found it according to prior logs it needs a new log as people have described it as being waterlogged and unreadable.
Hi. Temporarily disabling this cache site as it has needed maintenance for a while and Covid restrictions have not allowed my to get to it to fix it. I'm hoping to have it back up by the end of 2022 or early 2023. In the meantime, i hope you enjoy the view from this spot.
Nice views. Thanks for the cache. The log is mush. Don't have any paper with me so signed the best I could and carried on.
Walked up from Church Bay Rd and it was definitely worth the effort as the views over Waiheke are incredible! Nice, quick find in the logical spot and found it with Henbot_66. TFTC
Found the cache but it’s gotten wet at some stage so couldn’t write on the damaged paper.
Took us a while as it was our first geo cache attempt, relaised we were looking too hard and found it in the end.
Thanks for bringing us to this cool spot. A nice uphill walk just before sunset. TFTC from SHC
Found it on a windy day. Beautiful views. The log book in a poor state. Thank you!
Wow... That was a quick find of the hint, cache and then a quick log... Might need a new waterproof log though...
Thank you for the cache

At a wedding just a 100m away. Had to head up and have a look for it. Great spot with a great view. TFTC
That hill was an endurance test, some fitness work needed ! Windy but a lovely day and cache was quick find. TFTC!
Visiting NZ from Australia to meet up with relations and do a bit of sight seeing and a few geocaches of course. Our base is in Hobsonville. Many thanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining these geocaches for our and others enjoyment. A different view of the island from this vantage spot.

What a beautiful spot! It is a hard slog up the hill .We have been so lucky with the weather. Unfortunately no sign of the horses. TFTC
Cache # 4,812 - Beautiful views, as CelloJoss and I had a first visit to Waiheke Island. Did this on the walk to the Mudbrick vineyard. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found today with The Wandering Dragons. Quite the slog up the hill, and a bit muddy, but well worth the views there. Thanks!
This I think is my favourite so far, cleverly hidden with awesome views, thank you
I had two full days in New Zealand and Auckland, and after spending one day in Auckland, I wanted to see some NZ nature as well. Took the hop on hop off bus, and got off at stop one and spent an hour on this beautiful trail that I'd never find without caching. Thanks from a Norwegian very far from home.
Pas de stylo, aussi une photo indiquera que j’ai bien trouvé la Géocache,
Superbe vue panoramique.
Merci pour la cache.

Waiheke Island on the bike. Left my bike at the beginning of trail and off you go. Bit of climbing. And there you go. Views are ok. But I had extra visitors at GZ! And enjoyed tasty grapes .... Just don`t tell anyone!
A bit of a relentless uphill walk to get to this one !
( After the Blackpool one )
Very sunny today.....
At least it was an easy find....and lovely views....
Thanks .

Aloha from Hawaii! We enjoyed our time in Wellington for WENZ and are finally catching up on our logs. Got this one while exploring the town. The tour of the winery brought us practically to GZ! SL. TFTC.
Wow, the views! Came and grabbed this after visiting the Mudbrick Winery, which was lovely. Tftc!
Arrived on the island on the ferry and walked around the coast track. Stop off at Mudbrick winery for lunch then on the way to town up to get this cache. What a very nice spot
Somehow missed the islands when I was doing my pocket query so was only able to copy from the Ipad to a piece of paper and then find it.
A nice walk up the hill here. Weather was iffy but great views TFTC

Nice hide and glorious views. The horses weren't home today, so they weren't disappointed we didn't bring an apple with us. TFTC.
Two days in Auckland, and today we hired electric bikes and toured the island: after a visit to the Mudbrick Winery, this was my chance for a cache on the island . I don’t do horses after some charged me, so I was relieved they weren’t too close ; great cache- made a dash down hill and the horses started to follow me- I blame people who give them apples TFTC!
Stunning views. Pretty much every cache on Waiheke is an incredible place. Thanks for bringing us here!
A bit of a hike up but nice views. Easy find. Pen was broken so couldn't sign this very well. Tftc
Took my partner over to Waiheke for a surprise couple of nights away and managed to convince him to let me do a wee but of caching while on the island. We had a bit of bad luck with many caches on Waiheke showing lots of DNFs with no CO activity. Luckily we found this one after the big walk up the hill! We said hello to the beautiful horses hanging around GZ and were surprised to see a helicopter parked up next to GZ also. Considered taking it for a ride but thought better not. cache had no log so just ripped off a bit of paper from my notebook and placed inside. Watch out for horse poop on the path TFTC
Found this but contents was absolutely saturated. Amazing location, world class view!
We were wondering if we would have a chance at any cache on Waiheke Island then we visited Mudbrick Winery and there it was. Now how do we get up to the corner of the vineyard? As luck would have it our tour took us right to that corner and with the help of our new geocaching friend (our driver for the day) we were able to make the find.

WHAT A VIEW! Favorite Point! Did not have time to wine taste, but I saw this viewpoint! Grand. Thank you.
After a long period of travelling and work commitments, MrNZT and I finally had some time together, so as a treat we decided to head to Waiheke and have lunch at the Mudbrick vineyard. After a wonderful 3 hour lunch, delicious wines and stunning views we finished lunch and headed up to the helipad behind the vineyard to walk to this cache, luckily it wasn't too far as we were both full from lunch. Found the cache after talking to the horses and waiting for a tour group to depart, wonderful views from up here and a perfect finish to a great day, a fav point from us as we had the best time on the island today and finding this cache was the cherry on top! TFTC!
Nice wall with stunning views and friendly pony to greet us at the destination. Oviously used to expecting a food offering. TFTC
A nice quick find here after a play with the horses Stunning views and thanks for bringing is here. TFTC
In Auckland for a couple of nights to see our daughter-in-law off on the Spirit of New Zealand tall ship. Came over to the island to spend the day on a recce as it's possible some of the family may want to come here for a week later this year or next year. Got the Island Hopper round it's full route with stop-offs here and there. Eventually got off at the Mudbrick Winery stop and walked through the Te Uri Karaka reserve ending on top of the hill. Then it was a quick find following the obligatory photo shoot.
Walked down to Blackpool bay and saw the Bar-tailed Godwits and a couple of the uncommon endemic New Zealand Dotterels, quite a special place.

Wandering around Waiheke grabbing caches as we go. parked up on the generous road edge and followed the signs. Did not need to feed the horses as they were to busy keeping out of the high winds by staying near the shelter belt. Some pics on the way up and at the top and the cache was soon found. Sat here a while and enjoyed the huge views than back down gain. Thanks for the placement Bikergrannie, and of course the exercise getting up that wee hill.
Hi, on a tour of the island and found this cache. Beautiful views, fantastic spot, TFTC! Favourite point as such a magnificent spot.
Ps some water has got into canister and log was damp so I didn't extract log to sign

TFTC. Walked around to complete a remaining part of the Te Ara Hura track. Nice views from there.
Giving it a favourite point for the cache container (much better than the usual Tupperware container). Logbook has plenty of space but pages are withering, I would suggest replacing. TFTC
Found it but logbook too soggy to remove from the container. Beautiful view in the rain.
Went to Waiheke Island with KirsTim to tackle some of the caches there. A beautiful view at the top, but definitely a steeper climb than we were anticipating! Our legs were feeling it at the end of the day, but we were glad that the weather was better than originally forecast. Thanks for the hide.
Took a long way round, but finally found the right paddock. Nice steep hill climb to wake ourselves up, little did we realise that most of Waiheke's caches were up similar hills. Still beautiful view from the top and a cache find....signed as KKKT, thanks
What views!!!! Nice easy find but the log paper was very damp and difficult to extract, although there is a handy piece of wire attached to hook it out. TFTC.
