Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Xaibagh-fam,
The Ammo can has been nicked by some unscrupulous members of the public. The contents remain on site but the container is long gone.
Vale Ammo can, you served us well.

K.T.B said it was my choice of where to hike today, And I've long since had my eye on the cache in Bungabee state forest. To make a bit of a day of it though, we decided to do a bit of a circle up through Jiggi and Kyogle on the way grabbing a couple more caches before doing the bigger walk. This cache had also taken my interest which may have guided that decision. It doesn't seem to be found all that often and gives up some unloved every other year.... time to give it some more love.
This was our first cache of three today, and it turned out far easier than I expected from previous logs. I'm not sure if the quarry has been filled in and graded since the cache was hidden but the easiest option here was to definitely follow the arrow, it was rather flat for the 100 metres before GZ, if a little soft underfoot, and only required a wee scramble at the final approach. I couldn't find the cache at first, and became concerned as nothing matched the description or hint at 0m. Had the cache been buried by a bulldozer?? hope not... I expanded my search area and soon found... something.. not what I'm meant to find, well, not how I'm meant to find it... you see, the ammo can seems to have been nicked. The swag was there, the baggy containing a logbook and pen was there, there was even some loose change in it. perhaps the thieves weren't interested in the shrapnel, or, perhaps they thought that the change was an appropriate swap? It most certainly is not. This is a caching crime most foul. I gathered up what I could find in the area and popped them in an indentation where I assume the box had previously been, covered with a few sticks. unfortunately, I had nothing in the way of a temporary replacement box, and certainly no ammo can to keep the logbook dry and warm, though at least at the time of my visit, the logbook was dry and ok inside the baggy still.
This one will definitely require maintenance I'm afraid.
Regardless, we don't hold this against the CO, I was glad to be brought here by the cache owners Xaibagh-fam. I also enjoy seeing a musical theme twisted into listings. Good fun, despite discovering such a dastardly crime! cheer!

Having an overnight stop at a nice Air BnB and attended a Christening service in Tweed, we began caching our way towards Lismore where we have a couple of our own caches to check out. But some caches needed converting to yellow simleys along the way.
Your cache, Xaibagh-fam, was one of the ones we found. We entered via the Tower (which we suspect may have interfered with out GPSrs signals a bit), and soon Mr RoddyC discovered the meaning of the hint.

Out on a weekend caching run in the area with RoddyC, Hatzofff & Snickersallan.
Quite a long way to get a cache but we did it. No one got hurt and we found it.!!!
SL then returned as found. Yippee!

Found on day 2 of my trip in the NSW countryside with geo friends RoddyC, hatzofff and patrol14. We certainly had our work cut out for us here in the mid afternoon heat but it was well worth the scramble up to GZ to find the old ammo tin. Probably was an easier way to get there but we were in a mad rush.

I did a big loop today from Kingscliff to Nimbin then to Lismore, then back along the highway to Kingscliff and had a great day of caching in this scenic part of the world.
This cache was my main target of the day as I've been wanting to get a 2/4 for a long time to fit a spot in the grid. I was a little apprehensive given the warnings of crawling beasts around here and long grass, and the cache hadn't been found for some time.
I parked by the old quarry and took the ridge line to GZ. There was a clear trail and no long grass, and the cache was found after a short search. No sign of any snakes either!

Started off walking up from the bottom following the arrow but acl suggestion from Herbz put me on the ridge instead. The dogs enjoyed leading the way to the cache. All in goodbnick. TFTC
Climbed up along the ridge and got to within 5 meters of it but didnt locate it. Saw an echidna though!
Heading towards Lismore today.
A few little detours along the way to find a few caches.
A little searching before spotting this one after walking in along the ridge.
Thanks for the cache.

Took us 10 minutes to decide if we would attemp the 100metre walk and risk snakes. Decided to go it beating everything with a stick to hopefulky scare away any snakes, after all we drove all the way out here.
We found it nice and dry. Lovely big ammo box.
Thank for the hide!

Nice walk, I used to live just up the road from here. Cache is still in good condition 10 months since the last find.TFTC
We parked at the quarry entrance and walked along the ridge to this bad boy. Mrs Herbz spotted the rather unusual rectangular vegetation after a bit of a hunt. The real Beatles were not evident but we did spot a small black Beetle of some sort walking about near the cache. Maybe he wanted to joint the band. TFTC.
During our holiday in wonderfull Australia we found this cache.
We want to thanks the owner for placing this cache.

Went looking for this one with my brother, after traipsing through the up's and down's in the old quarry were very disappointed that we didn't find it. Only one we didn't find all day. Found a different way out much easier, also got a leech.
After helping place this cache the last time I was down here, I thought I would go back and log a find and drop off some TB's.
Went looking for this today with the rest of the Cachers that attended the BBQ and Froghop lunch. Great walk around the quarry with a great bunch of people. TFTC
Not sure what that truck driver thought when he passed the convoy on the road to this cache!
Enjoyed finding it with all the other people from the Frog Hop.

Having to re-log my finds with my new name, as the Choc side of Choc n Chips wants to be at the finds too. Bless her little cotton socks
It’s lucky that the Quarry isn’t a small country, or they’d have mistaken today’s onslaught as an invasion. During the nearby event at Blakebrook an assault on this cache and the others in the Jiggi valley was planned. The convoy, led by myself, left silently after lunch. However there was a small guidance malfunction, in which I missed the turnoff to the cache, and led the others up the road a couple of hundred meters. After a bit of vehicular ballet, all the cars were pointed in the right direction – and we were soon parked at the cache site.
Continuing on foot we followed a trail that took us on an easier route toward the cache than I was expecting and after 5 minutes or so the container had been ousted by our small army of cachers.
The log was signed, and some swaps done – we took a magnifying glass and a whistle, and left a LED Throwie and a fairy wand. Yes, our platoon carries a fairy wand.
We made the trip back to the cars without major incident, and claimed victory on this one.
I’ve never cached with such a large group before, but I had an absolute blast! Nice one, eskibagh!

Found while attending the Frog Hop event just down the road. A bit tricky and slippery getting to GZ but we all managed to survive. The snake skin near GZ was a concern.

Well, from the Frog Hop event cache today there was a convoy of 5 vehicles all full of cachers from all over the countryside. They were lead off by MattyRX but even with local knowledge and a GPS he managed to miss the turn. What a sight to be seen..First my little red mobile turning on the narrow country road to go back to the turnoff. Griffo's mobile did the same... The ones at the back just reversed down the road till they got to the turn off. Off again up the hill with MattyRX in the BACK this time. Poor lorry driver who would have expected a quiet trip down the dirt road hill... 5 cars heading up. Parking spots found. GPS activated x who know how many... Renroc had to put shoes and sox on too. Off we set in a conga line. Helpful people assisted others over and across narrow slippy paths and it was a real team effort. We arrived in the general location.. MY GPS said 4m this way, someone else had 9m in another direction. Then we heard a call.. "could it be an XXXX" and that person was holding up the cache... She was about 4m in the opposite direction to where my GPS was indicating GZ was!! So the log was handed around and swaps made by the children. A couple of TB were added (I think) and we all headed back the way we had come. Off to other local caches next.
An interesting walk and a good cache. Thanks Xaibagh-fam

Half way through the event today a convoy of cars including us set off to find the cache. The path we went today was much easier than straight through the piles of dirt and through the old quarry. With a group of geocachers looking, the cache was found quickly.

We were down at Coffs Harbour for four days for my husband for work. I saw this new cache come on line on Sunday afternoon. How tense has it been waiting to see if someone would get it before we got back up this way? (We drove within a few kilometres of this cache last Friday on our way south.) We arrived at an area where we could park the car and had a look at the way between us and GZ. We decided it would be best to change into our wellies. We went up and down, up and down, up and down, over all the piles of dirt heading in the right direction. Up and down, up and down. Finally we were pretty close. Hmmmm. Now where could it be???? We'd spotted signs of someone else coming through here and by now had pretty much decided that we would not be FTF. I couldn't see anything that quite fit the clue, but geohubby did and found the container. Phew - now let's look at that log...........Yay! We were FTF at 4:52pm/5:52pm depending on whether you are on Qld time or NSW time. Wow! We didn't think that would be possible.
Thank you Xaibagh-fam for the new cache. Thanks too, for bringing us home through this magnificent countryside. What a pleasure it has been admiring the lush green pastures and the beautiful scenery. An absolute delight. The FTF was a bonus.
Took: TB to move along
