Logs
On Saturday we checked on the cache and the area has been completely trimmed. It used to be unwalkable there and only 1 or 2 spots you could access the cache - now the area is all open.
Since it is prone to getting muggled we are going to archive this cache. We may place another one in the park but we might not as well. We'll see.
Thanks to everyone who found the cache over it's lifetime and who gave positive feedback - it's appreciated.

Sounds like it's missing.. a shame because no one has found it since we replaced it... we're overseas now so will replace when we're back...
DNF, and there may be a problem, there were council workmen at the site and a massive prune of bushes has happened, I will send a photo to the Zargfinder team and see what they say. Still a nice spot to visit, we had a good look around the Wall of Remembrance and looked at all the plaques. I reckon it is important to visit places like this.

Went to replace the damp log today and discovered that not only was the log worse for the wear, but the camo had also deteriorated. Took home to rebuild and will also try to find a new location at the park, as this one is becoming less desirable.
Stopped by this afternoon after checking on a cache of mine in the area. A few people picnicking but nobody near GZ, and after a think about the hint I spotted something that turned out to be correct and quickly had CIH. Log is somewhat the worse for wear these days and could do with replacing, but managed to make my mark on the back. Thanks zargfinders and piggypigsoo.
Well hidden, Thanks zargfinders

This was our first cache for the day and we found it surprisingly quickly. Admittedly, we did read through the logs before hand and got a couple of hints that made it easier. Great cache location though... as we have come to expect from zargfinders. TFTC
Took us a while, but reading through the posts gave us the extra hints we needed. Had to do some slight repositioning and some maintenance work on the cache itself. Log is quite wet and might need some replacing. But as usual neat little cache, TFTC
Had a quick look but didn't linger as the lady in the nearby house was pottering in her garden and my gps was pointing to her side of the fence!
Finally found it, think the co-ords had us looking in the wrong area today and previously. But when on the correct target it was easy with the cunning clue.

Find #1336 - 1 for today. Found on 21/01/13 11:01 AM
Eventually found it after a search around. The lady of the house came out to ask if I was looking for something. Told her I found it and she said she has noticed other people searching. Cache may need to be moved as she was concerned about all these people wandering close to her fence. TNSLLN

This was our first geocaching attempt and despite an hour of searching and a good idea of what the camo might be we couldn't find it. We'll be back though!

Popped in to Jacka Park on the way to the beach with Mrs T and the geodude. Mrs T was reminiscing about how much better the park is now compared to when she was little and went to primary school across the road. In those days it was quite barren and didn't have the play equipment it has today.
Cute camo. TFTC.

Once I spotted it, I had to look for this one, a place with my name.
Came here last week but no luck so went home and read some logs. Decoded Supasmiles log and the penny dropped. So today back in the area for a Chrissy get together and a quick detour and soon had CIH.
Very clever camo! Did you make it or is it a recycled model? I know from having had the task to make one of these in my school days that it's VERY HARD.
TFTC I really enjoyed this one.

Took me quite a while. Very well hidden, but there were muggles everywhere so it was somewhat of a challenge.
I've passed by here a couple of times before, once when GZ was crawling with workers and another time when lots of small kiddies were having a game running around all the trees. Today's overcast weather seemed to keep everyone away, so I had time to look about. The GPS said "down there, no over there, no over the wall" and nothing looked promising. But then it settled down to somewhere it hadn't been before and I saw something worth checking. Closer and from the other side, there was the cache, out in plain view. I made the necessary inscriptions and returned it to where it surely should be, safely covered. A nice idea, glad I've finally seen it. Thanks again zargfinders.
Don't search low! Porko2003 found it whilst I was looking at the ground. Use your imagination think of breakfast not your usual cereal and milk.
We got some helpful warmer/colder assistance from the friendly woman in the house next to the GZ. She said she sees people here all the time - it's a tricky one to find, so they probably spend a long time here!
We had mugggles literally a few metres away as we searched, grrrr. This was a hard cache, until we used the hint again and something finally jelled, very clever zargfinders, another favourites point from me.
The eleventh attempt of fifteen for today's Northern Beaches trip with Rainbow Spirit. The day featured 12 finds, two DNFs and one could not attempt.
This one took forever till I spotted what I thought I needed and soon had the cache in hand.

DNF. spent 20 minutes looking but we needed to get home and builders were in the house looking at us.

Couldn't help but have a chuckle at the cache description...I have lost count of the number of bison tubes I've found over the years...but nice to see you've added one to this area! Whilst there were plenty of muggles in the vicinity, there were none close by to GZ, so it didn't take long to spot the cache. Enjoyed the hide. Fits in very nicely here.
Gratias zargfinders.

2 of 11 in this arvo's hunting trip.
Just a visit for me this time. Still one of the funniest ones I've come across. Camo does indeed need replacing.
Can I suggest coating the inside with a runny-ish mix of Araldite, and/or mostly filling it with putty or Polyfilla? I'll delete this line once I know you've seen it

Will check on the cache ASAP.
I think I know what's wrong so I'll probably bring what I need.

Very accurate coords basically led us exactly to the GZ, BUT we did not recognize the hiding place. We cannot write down what hindered us to analyze closer the GZ, because that would be a spoiler. Fortunately the owner by chance passed by and encouraged us to inspect the hiding place that we had realized, however, that we did not dare to touch (again, explanation would be a spoiler). Many regards to the owner and thanks for this special hiding place, which we will honour by a favourite point!

This one is closest to home. Must have walked right by it a hundred times taking the kids to the park. Finally looked at the hint and got a clue where to look. Very good!
We originally set out only to get Freshwater Beach cache, but when we took only 5 minutes on that one, we came in search of this cache. After 10 minutes of wandering around, we got a shock as the owner of the house we were next to called out 'You want some help? You're looking for a small thing aren't you?' We got a pointer as to which direction to look, and we found the cache quite easily after that.
First to sign logbook #2, and the 45th cache for Smartypants45!

Apparently log is damp and unsignable but we're on holiday at the moment. Will replace when we get back, but if anyone visits this cache before then we'd appreciate if you could replace it. Thanks so much
found it after ages
thanks to zargfinders for some additional hints
clever idea and hint
very close to someones house but acceptable

well today luckily I didn't have maths so not too much homework
So biked down after doing some and fixed it as well as I could though there was a worker about 10m away with his van. But not sure he saw me
All is good now.

great place, i think it was kinda close to the person's fence, but who cares, it was well made. the person who found it before us had left the bison tube hanging down from it, so it was more obvious.
very clever cache Zargfinders had discribed it to me before but the cache was still cleverly hidden
P.s. you might need to check on it there is only half left. will discribe to you tommorrow

Zargfinders you're awesome! Nessisary and i found it this arvo on the way home from finding 4 other caches today. What a great end to a great geo day. We love your creativity!
Finally found after several attempts with Ang_g and with several clues from CO. Thanks for a great cache.
Might need a clue with this one ,second attempt even though it was pouring rain we still had a good look but to no avail. I think if i hang around this park much longer i might end up on a watch list....Cheers
Having just had a delightful massage down the road thought id give this cache a try. Such clever camouflage! Enjoyed a good laugh.
Driving to Manly to have a look for 'The Golden Egg', I saw the Jacka Park sign flash past ... just a sec, wasn't a cache somewhat recently placed there?
Stopped, had a look, and there was. Pondered the hint whilst walking to GZ, and reckon I had it worked out, and I was right
Very creative! Perhaps terrain is too high though?

changed terrain level to 1.5. I'd forgotten to change it after we changed the cache! Thanks chudles for reporting the need for the terrain to be changed.
Went to Jacka park with piggypigsoo today and made the cache perfect. Come and find it!
Went to the geozone and fixed up the cache.
Jacka is backa
but without one thing
the littlest one,
it did not sing
another will return
when the time is right
and jacka will be back in sight
the cache is still findable,
one just fell
but it will come back
with a ring of a bell
soon.
sorry about the bad poetry!
The cache is still findable but just need to fix a bit to make it better.

An owl was guarding the cache, but it fortunately flew off nervously and we stuggled through to snatch our first
A bit wierd poking around under the neighbour's windows. But we did it quietly and were ready to chuck it in when something caught our eye. Turned out to be a mystery of nature. Last finder dicky_v called himself a goose. Wonder if he was responsible for this unnatural phenomenon. Nice hide, zargfinders. SL TFTC Cheers.... Gaztek
Haha I'm a goose, wasn't looking hard enough. I finally cracked it this arvo.
Cheers!
Cheers!
No luck today, though there is a starpicket / bunting fence around what appears to be GZ, can't help but wonder if a wayward council worker has picked it up...?

Just finished making the new cache today. Will hopefully hide it today or tomorrow. Sorry about the delay!
This is really disappointing. The new coordinates were too far away from the old ones so I cannot change them on the site yet. I have emailed the cache reviewer (i,riblit) to see if they can solve this problem. If you are really keen on finding this cache I can send you the new coordinates because you'll find nothing if you look where the old ones send you to.

Just rode to the geozone and hid the cache. It is ready to be found. I AM ABOUT TO CHANGE THE COORDINATES. Please don't look for the cache with the old ones because it is on the other side of the park.

We went to the geozone today and it turns out the cache has gone. I guess more time is for a better cache! We will replace the cache with a better conatainer ASAP.
We searched both high and low, in the most obvious tree, and a few others, but to no avail. We only found a 'red herring' but no cache. We will have to come back
After getting home after cricket today, I saw this new cache and no logs so I thought why not make our 100th find a FTF. So I grabbed Kara and off we headed into the darkness. Upon reaching GZ, walked straight up to tree and found cache, well so we thought. Kara quickly scaled tree and located the cache, while doing so dropped the FTF prize (which we spent more time looking for than the actual cache).TFTC. 100 finds, think it may be time for us to start hiding some caches of our own.
Two kids.
Two bikes.
One backpack.
One tree.
One GPS.
One Moose.
One day.
One cache.
Ok we set off today and decided it was a cache building day. So we found the location, rode there, and found a nice tree which wasn't too easy to climb. We fiddled around up there for around half an hour or so and finally came up with an idea for the cache. We rode home, and on the way were stalked by two annoying muggles from school. Once we had lost them and got home, we started making the cache. We collected some supplies, made the cache, and then rode back to Jacka Park after lunch. After getting co-ordinates, making sure the cache looked nice and taking the picture of Moose, we rode back home.
I hope everyone likes the cache!
