The steep drop down to this one was no good for my knees so Andy went down alone. Found a log in a bag but no container so placed a new container, replaced plastic bag and added an additional ritr log sheet. Should be all good to go now for a while. tftc#9896
Found it! Definitely didnt mean to take this path, but one of us took this trail by mistake and I came down to find her. Since I was hereCache could use some care.
Headed over to Picton for a long evening of caching around Victoria Domain and Snout track. Managed 14 finds, 1 DNF, and a few hours of walking. This was the perfect spot for a swim and some food. Found the hint item but no cache. Continued to dig down and found an old log in a plastic bag but no container as mentioned by Turk 404 in April 2023. His was the last signature. Not sure what the last 3 finders found or logged! Replaced as found as had no container. Thanks for the smiley

Nice little beach i have all to myself. Cache was an easy find. No container just log in bag. Did not have anything on me I could use for a container. Tftc.
Found it. Beautiful beach on a lovely calm day. Cache could use new container TFTC
Found as per the hint, but there is just the log in a plastic bag. Needs maintenance.
Our beach for Valentine's Day! Amazing spot, wish we brought our togs. Thanks for showing it to us, would love to come back later. TFTC
Currently cache is in a shell, log in a water tight bag. Hopefully can be maintained soon as the area looks overgrown and could get lost.
Was doing the walk to the Snout while on a caching holiday to Blenheim and Picton with nette1234 .
Took a side track down to this beach specially for this cache.
Sorry I didn't have a magnetic container ...as I see this one has been in a bag only for several years.
It is a good place to bring people so I hope it can be maintained.

Should have bought a spare container down, darn, needs one but otherwise findable and not too damp. A magnetic mint tin would do the trick here.
Prickly descent. Easy find. No container just a Ziploc.
Saw a dead rat in a trap. Best kind.

Great place thanks for showing. No container there, just the log sheet in a plastic zip bag. This one needs some love from it's owner. TFTC
Tramyard had arranged a camper relocation and asked me if I wanted to join him and locate some of the geotour caches on the way back from Christchurch to Auckland. I readily agreed and took Friday off work, so we could spend 4 days travelling over 1600kms from Christchurch to Greymouth to Kaikoura, Blenheim and Picton, across the ferry to Wellington, up through Taranaki back to Auckland finding over 80 caches, 43 of which were part of the geotour.
We arrived early in Picton to find some caches before our ferry crossing. It was a gorgeous sunny morning and I enjoyed our walk around the waterfront. We then headed to this domain for one of the geotour caches. Since we had plenty of time before the ferry, we took advantage of the sunshine for a bit of a walk.
Since this wasn't too far from another cache we decided to venture on to this hidden beach. Thankfully the path was dry as it was very off trail. Quickly located the cache in the right spot. Thanks for bringing us to this wonderful hidden gem.

On another 1/2 day Wednesday sports day, 2 runners, 1 biker and us 3 walkers. Just the walkers ventured down here on this well marked but overgrown track. Found the hint item a metre deep in overgrowth but digging all round found no container, just a small magnet attached to the hint. So, we used the magnet to attach another log in a plastic bag. If the container gets located at a later stage I guess I'll change my log.
@ 1415 discovered this beautiful beach, unfortunately the water for bathing was too cold...

A dinghy ride around caches in the area turned into a late night row after the motor stopped. Rowed from here to Waikawa. Long night. Got the smilie however. Tftc
I opted for the T5 Boat access route to this today, after checking on my nearby Mabel Island cache. The hint item was soon located. It is a little covered in Gorse at the moment. I added a magnetic assistance to keep the cache in place. Beautiful beach. T C T C
So excited to find this cache at my favourite beach! We call this catseye beach as there are many to be found. This is where I get all mine that I use as my signature gift in caches that are big enough. Have left one in this cache tftc!
Thank you for placing this cache and thereby bringing my family and I to this secluded spot
Found with NZDi. After seeing a dozen new caches published in the Awatere Valley this morning by someone called W.A.S.P, we decided to head in the opposite direction to avoid the gridlock caused be the FTF rush. There are still a few Greenies lurking in and around Picton that need converting to Smiley faces and today we targeted four of them. This was the final of the four and one tha we had always intended to approach from the seaward side, not on a kayak as suggested but on our SeaDoo which we have found is awesome for getting to Sounds caches rather quickly. Unfortunately due to the frost (and to a lesser extent a flat battery) the SeaDoo was left behind today, but in retrospect it would have been a beautiful day to take it out. So we made for the cache on foot. The cache description was fairly accurate in saying the track is not maintained. However it is also accurate when it says it is used often by the locals, is slippery when wet and has a steep climb out of the bay on the return journey. Additionally, an accurate hint made for a QEF at GZ.

Another caching Sunday with jojo and today's focus was 'the Snout' at Picton. Have to admit have never walked this before so thanks to all the COs for tempting us this way.
What a cool spot. Would never have known to head here if it wasn't for the cache. We will be back tftc.

Wow what a place.
This was an escape from working from home whilst entertaining Miss 5 on school holidays!! I would probably never of made it here if not for geocaching and that would of been a real shame. Thank you so much for introducing us to such a beautiful spot.
The track down wasn't as bad as anticipated and I was even lead by Miss 5 most of the way and we had a quick find once there!

Not looking forward to the walk up the hill but the beach is well worth the trip down.... So peaceful a d a great place to sit a d relax for a while .... Lost my pen on the way down but took a pix of the cache .... Thanx for bringing me here in the name of caching TFTC
Would not have found this delightful beach without the lure of a geocach. Easy find. TFTC
Today on a short trip with a MTB I enjoyed the tracks very much and obviously I had to do some geocaching.
Cool beach.
Was not so easy with my MTB especially the way up.
Thank you for the cache.

With mrs capperz trapped at work for the morning it falls to me to entertain our 2 daughters nightowl19 and We are wallies. They do actually possess real names but it amuses me to use their geocaching monickers. Tally the dog is showing signs of overcoming her bad paw incident and temperature promises to be mid-20s (although it ended up topping 31 degrees today, phew)
Having grabbed the 4 newer caches out this way earlier in the week I'd left the other 2 stayonmytail caches for another day. Today was that other day.
Hit the trail head at 0945 and we were back in the car at 12.15 so no too bad a return trip for the 2 caches. Lovely walks both of them and spotted a young weka at the end of the track, though heard signs of others along the way, and spotted possum fur on the track too.
Missed the trailhead to this on the way past and backtracked when we realised. A nie walk down to the water and Tally enjoyed a swim. Took the resident TB and moved it to Spring Creek TB hotel. Found a knurled screw for a fishing reel in the grass so added that to the cache

Teamed up with The Seagnoid for a walk to the Snout with caching on the way. We tried to find the track on our way but missed it but The Seagnoid found it on the way back. The track a bit steep in places so a slow return to the top. Lovely place to visit and a real treasure box. Thanks for bringing me here.- this is why I started geocaching. Cheers.
[green] I was bored. I'm building a couple of caches, but they need resources from work so I am at a loose end today. Rang TaybeeNZ and asked him if he wanted to go for a walk. Alas he can't come, but TaybeeDragon can, so off we went. It was a cool morning and I forgot to change, so I am doing this in jeans and skivvy. It soon got to be a hot day, and I dumped the skivvy in favour of shirtless.
Hunted for this track but missed the turnoff , so gave up and headed off to the Pig's Nose instead. On the way back I had an idea and so we came down for another look. Yep, I was right. A jaunt down to a wonderful beach and a cache big enough for treasure! It already had some, so I dropped in one of the many trackables that are burning a hole in my pocket since the mega. Photo. I mapped the track and will add it to OpenStreet map (leaflet) shortly.
[red]Thanks for supporting the [green]G[blue]e[orange]o[red]K[orange]i[blue]d[green]s[red] program - placing caches large enough to have treasure, makes them fun for kids to find!

This track has had a major upgrade since the placement as its now well defined and even has a bike track marker. At about 300m from the cache it returns to its natural state. A lovely walk and was enjoying the beach too until the Interislander chugged along spoiling the peace. TFTC #6853
Was too close to this not to come - just finished the snout track and found this skinny track heading down to the beach. QEF and then I sat on a large log on the beach for a while.... nice peaceful spot with just boats cruising past.

Wow, half a year without a 'Found it'. If I had known this, before heading off... What a nice spot near a beautifull small beach. I went here after a morning boatcruise in the sounds. The afternoon I walked up the Snout track, geocaching and enjoying the amazing views. The beginning of this short detour was a bit hard to find, but the track down to the beach was well worth the search! Cache was easy to find and in good condition. Enjoyed my cherries on the beach TFTC!
A quick easy find at the bottom of another steep slippery track. The Interislander ferry Kaitaki, on which we were travelling later today, passed close by as were approaching this cache. TFTC

Would the next finder please take our coin and place it in another cache. It really wants to travel home.
Starting along the Snout Track and took a detour down to this "secret" beach. The coordinates were spot on and it was quickly found without the hint. Thanks for bringing me here on a pleasant, warm afternoon.
What an interesting trail down to this beach. We were on the wrong trail at first, but corrected ourselves before going too far out of our way. Got down to GZ and wandered, thinking we would be all alone and then a man appeared. Dang.
Track a bit overgrown and rustic, but great wee beach. On our own there this afternoon.
Beautiful day! ! Track was abit rough for the young family but worth the trip once you arrive at ÿour beach"which is definitely appropriately named. We had the whole beach to ourselves. Great for the kids!!
Out caching with our friends the marlb trekkers today and this was the main event. The kids over-ran the turn and were half way up the hill before we managed to catch up and turn them in the right direction. Track a bit muddy and slippery at the bottom but well worth it to have the beach all to ourselves. Stayed and enjoyed it for quite some time before making the trek back up to the car. Great cache location. Thanks.
After an enjoyable lunch, we found a nice central motel to base ourselves in for the night. Mrs Biggles had had enough of caching for the day so she stayed in to rest while I wandered off to find a few more caches in and around Picton. This was a good warm up walk for me. Doesn't seem to have had many visits recently but its a beaut spot. TFTC, Biggles.
A Sunday morning 'wake-up' stroll while my wife woke up slower and less energetically. I'm also curious about the new/old track being worked on. It will be nice to have more options on The Snout. All is well at GZ
You made that sound a lot worse than it was! That's the trifecta for this morning.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Successfully completed the two caches that we have been putting off now and they turn out to be really great spots to bring us to. Thanks so much. Did this one early in the morning before the sun got to warm thank goodness. TFTC
Found by a mixture of headlamp and moonlight, on my way back from a picnic dinner at the tip of the Snout. As others have noted the track is overgrown, but luckily little of the growth is gorse - phew! I must have gone straight by the hint object in the dark, and consequently had a futile search at a second one further up the beach; was pleased to spot the correct one a little later, and doubly pleased when it not only yielded the cache, but also solved the problem of finding the track again. That could have been awkward! In all it took me a little under half an hour round trip from the track junction. Thanks for the cache.
Found with Cacherriley.
Great beach all to ourselves.
A bit overgrown on the route in!

took wrong track 1st then came back and found, very extreme walk but well worth it lovely view TFTC did with one of my friends
Hello hello,
Took an hours time for myself to grab this geocache. What a beautyfull day to go on a little stroll and enjoy a moment at the beach. I had it all to myself. I was wandering where the new track at the beginning of the track to the beach goes to. A shortcut to Bob's bay? I didn't have any time to investigate. Maybe another day. TFTC

Diverted to here today on a walk to the Snout and back to pick up the caches around here. Nice little bay, had it all to myself. Cache was found within seconds - signed log, TFTC!
A beaut start in what turned later in to an eventful day. Great spot for a cache. Morning stroll meant wet grass (doesn't C.O. own a weed eater!)and we returned very wet knees down to toes ! All part of the fun. Thanks stayonmytail team for this enjoyable cache.
Wow, nice beach, and just for myself I took the chance and have been swimming down there
beautiful day. Out for the day with "wolfpack", we both loved the quite beach. TFTC
