Day 2 of our little 3 day gettaway in the beautiful Swan Valley. Caching in Caversham and Guildford A DNF from us - GZ is where the bees are in the tree
Sad face today. DNF had the geo dog with me, bees still very active and the smell of honey is wonderful. do i'll leave this one for the bees and revisit later
Beehive made this a huge nope for me. Area is also fenced off for dieback control.
After several tries at this one, I give up. Without accurate coords it is a search for the proverbial needle in a haystack.
too dangerous with the bees having made their home at the gz. Hundreds of bees!!!
Was about to give up when I thought I'd give it one more go using Everlastings coords as per previous logs. Easy find from there. It is NOT in the group of trees with the beehive. TFTC daz89.
Gps had us too close to the beehive that smelt divine. Nice to see this type of bush land being preserved. Had a nice walk anyway. TFTC!
Headed to Hillary's boat harbour & noticed these group of caches not far away, so decided to make a stop here... This was the first cache I headed for & after half an hour of searching, Master 4 made the discovery of this one buried in the sand? I'm guessing that this was not where it was meant to be, but we added our names & placed it back close to where it was found
TFTC daz89 I have added the co-ords of where the cache is located.

My GZ took me straight to the bee hive, it is in the base of the northern most tree in this small cluster. Luckily for me it was very early and very cold so they were docile, it didn't stop some crawling onto me though. I resorted to looking at previous logs after searching the likely spots and followed Everlasting's lead. TFTC
easy find, 5th for the day in this great piece of bush. found before i got near any bee hives. Thanks
Finally. Having more losses then wins today.
Calm down about the bees. Its not near them, and they're just peacful Aussie batlers trying to make their way in this world.

Nice quick find here with m4yb on our first caching run since my return form Bali and hers form Europe.
No bees that we saw, thankfully, thanks for this daz89

Not say it's not there but we disturbed the bees, I got stung and the boys got hysterical. Will have to return - maybe with a smoker!
Was lucky enough to find this one fairly quickly. The cache is much more guarded by ants then by bees. TFTC!
Headed to Noranda this afternoon to get my daily caching fix, had a go at 4 in the short time I had and found 3.
Had a read of some logs before making my way here and thought it was going to be harder than it was. Found it in the first place I checked once at GZ. And no bees to be seen at all which I was very thankful for.
SLTFTC
I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers in Busselton at the 'WA GOES BIG IN 2015' event. Registrations now open.

Out for some bush walking on this Saturday morning.
When I arrived to GZ I heard the bees, so did not try to look for this one.

Second attempt at this one after being frightened off by the very active bees nearby last year. Still took 15 mins to locate this one, had to disregard the hint and use previously suggested coords. Not in an obvious spot. Glad to have this one in the pocket, now just to find Water Wise! TFTC
Attempted this cache today but did not want to take the risk too keep looking as the bees seemed hungry, and with by bee allergie I would be dialling 000 fast. My poor Hemi (dog) was bitten on the foot by an ant and he didn't seam to happy about that either so I will leave this one for another day.
Lucky find! Navigation system was taking us all over the place. Cachie is guarded by army of ants.
Saw the bees. Hunted for the cache but bees we very very active today so no dice.
After a second attempt and with bees very active, I finally found it. It only took me 45 minutes.
As the weather is cooler the bees were really active today so I didn't want to take the chance. Not to mention that unusual wet substance starting to fall from the sky, I decided to call it a day and log a DNF I will try again another day and take the geo family with me.
It is the day for the junior Geo's today! Their young eyes and fast feet are on fire! TFTC!
Wasn't going to go too close as the bees have taken up residence in the tree in that location.
The bees were very active and I was not going to take the risk of a comprehensive search. He who runs away lives to cache another day
We had been chased away from this hunt last year by bees swarming at nearby tree. Returned today and with the GPS behaving itself and largely ignoring the hint we fairly quickly made the find of this sneaky hide.
Thanks for the cache daz89

Searched this afternoon for this cache with the GeoChildren but couldn't find it
Out with the geohubby picking up some more of the caches in the area. Not bad going we found 30 by 2pm with only 1 DNF. Most caches were easy finds and a few took a bit of searching and a couple were very sneaky hides....Found quickly TFTC daz89
A micro in bushland? That's just cruel. Didn't want to spend too much time here due to the bee activity. A cursory look failed to find the goods on this occasion.
GZ now seems to be in a recently created rehab zone. Fence looks very new and but is easy to circumvent. Found the bees, but no cache.
Second Daz89 cache find to be logged for today. Missed it previously but with a bit of help from 'Everlasting' managed to log it this time. Makes 2 finds and 2 DNF's for the afternoon.

Tried the alternative co-ordinates but still no luck. Bees were happy, so were all the fogs as the swamp is full.
Certainly an easier cache than the previous "water wise" that I DNF.
This was a quick find. TFTC.

the clue put us off a little but knew we were in the right place as the bees were pritty close took us about 10mins TFTC
Confusing clues - eyes down but not on the ground. Looked...and looked...and looked but nothing leapt out at me. I know that my new Montana 650T brought me right to the spot 'cos I was chased off by the honey bees [B)] Time to go home I think - I'll try again some other time.
Clue did not lead me to the cache, but other logs did. But ended up with the Smiley Face somehow. Thanks daz89
Should have brought the geo head light - my bad. Had to put this one on hold for tonight, could not see a darn thing. Back to the car. I will be back. [B)]
I wasn't planning to look for this cache today, but I had parked so close to it, I just couldn't resist. So I headed towards the GZ, noting the sign about snakes, and I was glad to spot the cache in the second place I looked. TFTC
Found this cache with Chooke. This was NOT found on the ground and you may need an extraction to to get it. TFTC
What a tiny cache gave us some headache to retrieve and got a bit mislead by the hint. TFTC daz89!
While over in Perth visiting my daughter and new grandson, Oscar I found I had this Sunday morning off while they went to church. Having access to some wheels (2) I cycled off. This was my second trip to this park but my first attempt at this cache.
Really bad news that bee hive and would recommend this cache to be moved
Followed some hints from others but still no joy

A micro in the bush - can't say we were looking forward to this one. However once at gz I found it while geo-hubby was looking elsewhere. Can't even say why I looked there but needed an extraction tool which fortunately was found quite close to gz.
This was the fifth of a number in the park as one of the caches had a month year combo we needed for our chart and the walk and chance to do a few caches around the bush is always good. We saw a few roos on route sheltering from the sun. A few of the banksia where out in bloom which is always a favourite native of ours. Arrived near GZ and the GPSr was not quiet settled. Saw a possible cachy spot and then heard an odd noise only to see a swarm of bees and I think we could see the bush honey. Time to back away and look else where of DNF. On backing away we spied something a touch out of place and in a shot we had the cache in hand ( co-ords are out a little. We had it a little more to the west). Signed the log and replaced and set off for another. TFTC
After stopping for picnic lunch in Morley the better half and I continued over to this cache on our day out. It took a while to find but I did in the end.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
'What is that buzzing sound' I though as I approached GZ. Oh, just a swam of bees at GZ site making a hive. Cache then hospital, or DNF. No contest.
[:(!] Went for a late afternoon of caching with the geograndson before they head back to Geelong the following day, arrived at GZ and we had the cache in hand in a matter of minutes. TNLNSL TFTC
Was here last a while back to check out a munzee thing and thiscache was off line. Was back in Perth today so decided to bowl over the remaining LQ series (have one already under my belt) and gawd it was hot. Not used to this weather. Anyway, located a baby snake near the cache and after a phonecall the cache was obvious, thankfully, thats the third joe blake in a week.

No luck for me on this cache for me today. Hadn't seen logs about bees. Saw some in one spot so avoided it but stirred up some other whilst probing about.
Saw a cool lizard during the search. Luke (7) found this one after a little searching. TFTC
With help - find it - 6m away from orginal coordinate. Try use S31° 52.287 E115° 54.720... Another good hide spot - good hint too... Signed the log. Thanks daz89.
Thunder, lightening and heavy rain.... And I'm still out Geocaching!!!
First find of the day.... And bees all quiet.
TFTC.

Could not find. We looked everywhere except where the bees where... thanks any way.
Out with Keego and Chil to do some Lightning caches we wernt fast on this one saw many possible places but no cache. Decided to give Lightning caches a miss for today and head to our next destination.
Out and about with AmstradKid and Jazl for a caching run in the Whiteman Park/Noranda/Ellenbrook areas. After an extensive hunt of the area we came up empty handed. Saw the bees, stuck our hands in places that we should probably should not have, but no cache. We will have to come in the new year and try again... TFTH
Second DNF of the morning for me. Did spot 3 blue tongue lizards at the GZ though.
I came back to the park tonight as there is a GCA gnome lurking nearby. It was too dark last night by the time I finished here to look for him.
Tonight I tried to look on my way to work around 6.30pm. Unfortunately as I parked my car a neighbour was in the street chasing a snake!
Ohh my why was I here last night grovelling in the sand in the dark.
The snake was not happy and it made me so nervous I couldn't search properly for the little gnome! Just posting the note, for searchers to be wary.

Well after speaking to the CO at the 11-11-11 event this was supposed to be a quick find. Hmmm well it might be in daylight, but I left work after 7pm and by the time I got here the twilight was also disappearing.
I looked where I thought the cache should be but could not see it. Getting nervous in the dark, out with the head torch and still not finding it. On the phone to a friend who decided he should make me more nervous? But stayed on the phone to make sure I was safe till I was okay. (Thanks mate)
Still not seeing the cache I resorted to feeling where I couldn't quite see in the dark and sure enough I had my hand on the recognisable cache! Surely can't recommend trying to find this tricky devil in the dark.
TFTC daz89, keep em coming!

Came out to have a look for this one since it had been replaced. A quick and easy find for me, after first looking in the original hiding spot, I soon spotted the cache nearby.
Thanks for replacing it daz, good hide!

On my way out this morning to find a puzzle that I solved, when we realised we were going near to this cache and it was back in play.
Well yet another fruitless search I am afraid. The bees are still there and very active as are the ants. I'm sure we have searched every inch of that tree now!
Another Daz89 cache that is too good for Mrs FelixII [B)]

I hadnt read the previous logs until right now, glad i didnt as i would have been even more frustrated..LOL
My GZ repeatedly had me near a particular bush that i searched high..AND..Low.
I widened my search area bit by bit until i spooked myself by peering down into a Bees Nest..LOL
Went back to my origional area but still no joy..ah well another time......"If" i decide to try again, not my favorite type of cache.....micro's in bushland, but it was my choice to try today.
