Logs
ItchyFeet2020, hadyn.seek, a selection of my sprogs, and I are on a post-event expedition to claim some more smilies. *(two new caches had been published at the conclusion of the Meet&Greet event held at a caf in town, which I think was a strategic move from the EventCO to clear the venue of attendees?* )Now we're pottering around Levin picking up odd ones for me or H.S or IF.As the driver, I was open to being given directions, but I followed my own nose when no navigation was supplied - like to this one!We all throughly searched the hosts along the fence line, agreeing on the one that the compass suggested which was the one that had a perfectly sized cavity. Alas, said cavity was empty with no sign of the container on the ground or over the fence Regretfully, I'm adding my DnF to the others...
Out exploring with Ethermiss, Etherlord (our driver today) and haydn.seek. After leaving an event and finding some newly released caches we all had a couple of other ones we wanted as well. This was one of those. But unfortuately our combined efforts could not conjure up this one. We had a good idea of where we think it was based on prior logs but to no avail.
First Cache for 2024...Bit short to reach for it but with phone torch i got it in the end. TFTC
I set off today with Big Sis to find this row of caches as the crow flies. The intermediate school opened when I started standard 6 or form 2. So I didn't get to go, as they only took the standard 5 pupils. Goodness gracious, was that 52 years ago?! (1971). Needless to say I am not familiar with this part of Levin . Thankfully Big Sis knew where we were heading. Thank you Card7ff*boy for this cache.
Excellent hide. Was wondering if it was there or not and checked the vicinity first as there were signs of a guardian. In the end, I just braved it out before pulling it out.FP for the use of the hidey place.Cheers.Sleepy was here!
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.This was day 4 of our trip and we headed South from our accommodation caching down SH 1 to Levin and back through the towns to Himatangi.A nice quick find here by Keylev, retrieval by Mr HeMaLuDy
Luckily there were no golfers present here....apparently not a suitable sport for this centre.....Day 4 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
Day #4 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend. It's called sport for all but it seemed funny to me that it excluded golf although this seems to be a new thing....so not for all then....but why would they exclude golf only???Anyway back to the cache....I found the spot but was not keen to put my arm in so Mr HeMaLuDy did the honours here. Thanks for the cache
Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. This was day 3 of our trip. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Went for a caching trip today because I was bored. Concerning that I'm the third finder. Anyway funny find because the horses were staring at me. Please do maintainace. There are TONS of spider webs and creepy crawles in there and I felt some of them.ewww
Once we got brave enough to reach thru the cobwebs - Cool spot for a cache, left a treasure.
We are on a school holiday mission around Levin, trying to see if we can crack 100 finds for the month. In total we had 19 today, with 3 DNF’s.
Junior wasn’t have a bar of reaching in, so the big guy had to - my hand was fast!
Thanks!

No problems here although there were quite a few people around playing sports but they didn’t seem to notice us. TFTC
Summer Geocaching Road Trip - Day 2 - Picton to Wellington to Palmerston North - witha slight detour to Levin. It's been a while since I've been off on a road trip and this one has been on the cards for quite a while. I plan to visit some parts of the country where I've done very little caching before and hope to complete the qualification for a challenge cache in Nelson. A perfect day for a short walk to the cache. Took a bit of a search to find it. Found in the first place I checked but not the first time I checked it. TFTC, Biggles.
Thanks for hiding that it was really cool it was a Black plastic bottle with paper and there was a sticker thingy it's in a hole of the tree
Wow i found it wuth my firends befor school started lol i was fun we realy enjoyd funding it
No muggles about today to be worried about, although there is plenty of mud. After initially looking too low, I spotted the likely target and convinced to do the retrieval. Cool cache - something a bit different. KTG
Out with collecting a few caches in Levin. Found this one with a bit of thought process and a quick search. Log signed and placed back where found. Log was nice and dry. TFTC
Very cool! Like we have squirrels! Thanks for the cache! I left something and took something
Levin had a tornado this weekend, and pn a bright, sunny day I was worried I would not find this cache - after all, workers were tirelessly cleaning up fronds from the grounds. However, I can safely say it is still there
On my way from Wellington up to Wanganui on a lovely Friday evening. Stopped in Levin for a few caches along the way. This was one of them.
Had been here before but as a Yeti my hands were a little too big to retrieve the cache. Back today with some tools to help and was finally able to sign the log. TFTC

Nice little one for the kids. Mr 6yo helped get this one out. Found with sweatyyetinz. Tftc
Staying the night in Levin at the adventure park. Decided to get the bike out and explore some walkway / cycle paths. Great to stretch the legs and collect some smileys at the same time. Enjoyed the hint. Soon had the cache and signing the log. Then off to watch some hockey that was taking place. Thanks for the smiley.
Finding a random set of caches as I take the opportunity to do some caching while GAR is attending a tracking seminar with one of our dogs (well, his dog more than mine) not far out of Levin today. Stopped nearby and walked around a bit. Found this cache in good order. Watched the horses mentioned in another log a bit too while here. Thanks for placing card7ff*boy!
Good thing my geo buddy was here as while I tried to make friends with the nearby horses she looked for the cache.
My geo buddy was distracted by the horses in the next paddock. Lucky for her I am the master of finding geocaching
I was wondering about a Saturday morning being suitable for a visit here, but all the action was happening elsewhere. TFTC!!
Nice quick find. Somewhere throughout the day we've lost our pen. So off to bookshop to buy another one so we can keep going. Vinaka
A straight forward find, but the inside of the cache was wet, and with a small hole in the plastic bag the log paper was very damp. Managed to write on it, but put a completely erroneous date! I am actually not that keen to race into 2020 without a break. I sat in the sun and did my best to dry out the cache, bag and log before replacing as found. Otherwise a delightful cache.
Nice quick find in a good spot, log paper has seen better days, it is very fragile and starting to fall apart, I just managed to sign it but really needs replacing, TFTC
A quick stroll and find after our fuel stop. Heading home to Nelson today after a night at Foxton Beach. Thanks card7ff*boy for the cache.
Straight to this one,a nice little hide.Wrote the log and re-concealed carefully.TFTC!
A quick find here this afternoon. It was pretty wet inside the cache I'm afraid.
Thanks for the cache.
