A nice long walk to the cache. Unfortunately the car park was full of rubbish and graffiti
Took the long walk & we were glad that the cache was safely tucked in. Took short route back. Tftc
Took us a little bit to find, practically climbing in for a good look. Spotted a few bunnies on our walk and apparantly a magpie wasn't happy with us on our walk back to the car. Needless to say it was a faster crouched walk back to the car
We had been near here recently, and so we were happy to return to get another beautiful smiling face on our map! This walk is so beautiful - we loved the trees and birdlife - but it's a pity that the carpark appears to be a bit of a dumping ground for rubbish. That aside, though, the walk was enough to give us some exercise, but not so intense that we needed to pack scroggin! TFTC
Cool little find, unfortunately the parking area looked like a dumping ground so we did a bit of a rubbish collection while there. TYFTC
New Zealand entered Level 2 (Covid-19) on Thursday 15 May 2020, and it is now considered safe to resume geocaching in New Zealand. Wishing you all happy & safe geocaching.
Covid-19: have decided to disable our caches until it is safe to resume geocaching.
Didn’t know any of this way out here. Nice little wander around the kiwi fruit and an easy find for miss 5!
Weird little place this is. 2nd time I've been here but the furthest we have been in. Seems to have been neglected a bit. Can see a board walk down below at one point but not sure how you get to it. Cache was an easy find. Tb picked up. Tftc
A bit of a tricky find for the young ones but after seeing who found it last I wasn't going to walk away. Had a poke around with a stick and uncovered it. 6yr old made his first trade. Thanks.
No luck with this one today. Seemed like an easy hunting spot but all we found was a dead animal smell.
Teamed up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 to form team JAM. In the area to pick up another cache and saw this on our units. So swung past the orchard to pick this up.
(# 4348). Was in the area grabbing some caches. After a brisk walk along the track I quickly located the container. Everything in order. TFTC
Headed to Tauranga for a long weekend of caching with Merlot58 and Jag50. We came for another cache and since we were so close we couldn't leave this unfound.
We were in the area to collect another cache and saw this one close by so continued on. The kiwifruit in the nearby vines looked so delicious but we ignored the temptation to sneak one or two. A nice quick find here
I had just found the nearby cache in the boggy marshlands so walked around the roadway to get to this one - thanks to SB20 who showed me that satellite views can be very helpful. A gorgeous day so it was a lovely walk in the sun alongside the lovely kiwifruit vines on the way to the cache. Went straight to the spot. Tftc.
Out and about today, driving through this area and decided to stop and grab the couple of caches that reside here. Had a go at the other one first , got very confused with my GPS and went for this one instead. Thankfully much more straightforward. A lovely walk around the orchard to GZ and a quick find. Lots of goodies inside. Took nothing and signed log. Thanks for the cache!
Checked on cache today - happily it was not missing. Sitting under one of the trees, nice and dry, exactly where we saw it last time. Happy caching everyone!
This one should have been very easy to find, so it is likely missing. We will check on it shortly, and replace if necessary.
Went around the long way but got there in the end... LOTS of muggles working there today!
Went the long way around the park but once at GZ found cache quickly lots of swaps inside. Thanks
Checked on cache this afternoon... gave it a tidy up; all good. Happy caching everyone.
Finally went to get this one too, decided to drop a TB. Took my new to caching niece out this afternoon
Had a lovely time walking around here with Pagenz and glad we had the foresight to wear gumboots. Lovely area and a nice place for a cache. Thanks
2673 A nice walk around the park. A number of birds were heard and seen, Cache quickly found and went different route back to the car.
I came out here after dark in the rain to see if I could find the 2 caches in this area.
I spent a lot of time looking for the other one but couldn't see it in the dark. So I moved on to this one. No trouble finding it.
Thank you
Cherrys Rule

Was getting cabin fever after all the rain the last few days so was really good to get out for a walk with the dog this morning. What a shame the support for this special environment seems to have declined - glad I got to see it before it deteriorates further, or worse gets swallowed up in the adjacent housing development. TFTC which was in good condition and full of goodies.
Finally took the walk out to this one which is a nice place to explore.
We found the board walk shown in the picture and it's now boarded by tall natives towering overhead creating a tunnel effect. Thanks for bringing me here.

Bit of a wander to this one. Quickly found and last for the day. Cheers.
Damn, picked up a cold somewhere. Not as focussed on caching as I could have been. Never mind, around The Mount and to Rotorua today.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Lovely walk!! Kids had a brilliant time going on an adventure into the unknown. Nice easy find made it all the more fun for them, and swapping treasures was the icing on the cake.
Pretty cool park! Thanks for inspiring my walk through it. Geo pup absolutely loved seeing the horses, pukekos and rabbits. Cache was in good nick. TFTC
#48 Out with LimmyB. and cam_777 on a caching trip to Tauranga. Thanks for bringing us to this sanctuary Lion Fish. Never knew it existed. Will be good to return in the future and see the growth and development of the plantings. TFTC
Find #50 Caching trip with camlia and cam_777 to Tauranga today. Little bit of a walk but nice and easy. Nice and peaceful out here, no other sounds but nature.TFTC
Out for a Sunday walk and to find a few caches....this is an unusual wilderness with its knee high wet paspalum grass, board walks overgrown with trees and flax plants and hidden boggy marshes. Enjoyable cache hunting though and it was pleasing to find this cache with accurate co-ords on my GPS
Yay. Very overgrown track but cool walk. Never knew it existed. Thanks for bringing us here.
Thank you, brought us to a place we would otherwise not had known existed. Phew, it was so hot down this gully today, tbh we couldn't wait to get out of here! TFTC
Came here to get the puzzle cache we solved on the day it was published but guess what we didn't save the Co ordinates so couldn't get the find on that one will have to solve again and cone back another day. Oh well lucky we haven't got this one until now so the trip wasn't wasted.
Continuing the loop around Sanctuary Park on the way back to the car. Cache quickly spotted and log signed. Never even knew this area existed and such a lovely peaceful place, TFTC!
Checked on cache today - no trackables were in the cache, so have marked 'The Lost Lamb' as missing - all going well, it will turn up again soon.
Was just getting ready to go out to get my daily cache when Kiwibabys Nana called and asked if I wanted to drop baby off with them for the arvo, This opened up a few more options for my cache so thought would come out here and go for a little walk. Nice afternoon and really nice park never been out here before, went off track a little at the end and started to go back around the boardwalk corrected myself and decided to head straight up the hill threw the trees, (cant take the child out of me) Got to GZ and started hunting this took longer than it should but cache was well buried in leaves very good hide, and really nice park I never knew was here. Took out a horse TB and replaced with a Sheep TB one animal for the other. Thanks Lion Fish for another awesome cache in a wicked spot
Took the whip into this lovely spot. Easy find. Nice spot for love in the orchard.

Probably one the most unknown parks in the Tauranga area. An interesting walk to get here and a nice big fat cache at the end of it.
Finally a cache big enough for us to drop off The Horse TB. Nice afternoon walk. TFTC.
Not a bad walk around the tree line and down into the bush. Just arrived at GZ with my phone on 1% and went about looking for this.
Wow, I made that much more difficult than it should have been.
Eventually laid hands on the container. Signed log and wandered back to the car, still had 1% left too.
TFTC.

I had some time to fill in and this looked a nice walk and the cache was found all OK Thanks
for bringing me here.
for bringing me here.
#351 - Brought my 2 year old nephew with me, we had the Buggy not sure if that was a good idea lol! haha but we got round and it was a good adventure! track was really good only a few rough patches and little hills (next time he can walk lol) great lil place though.
We are over in Tauranga to do a few caches for the numbers, because the Geocaching 15th Birthday Event we are attending later this morning is going to be our 2000th cache.
We walked along the path from the other cache nearby and found it easy going now the grass has been mown. Soon arrived at GZ and quickly found the tidy cache.
We like any community project like this, they always represent a heap of work for those involved.
We snuck out the back door and got back to the car quickly. No one saw us!

Cache found quickly and in good condition. Not exactly a difficult wander but due to the weather conditions, it was hot and muggy as hell and the sweat was pouring off us. None of the mushrooms were edible which was a shame This area could definitely use some more exploring but not today, tnlnsl cheers Lion Fish
We checked on the cache today ... a mulching mower's been through fairly recently and tidied up the walking tracks - which are now looking tidier than we've seen in quite some time.
Over in Tauranga for work today and I was fortunate that a customer is literally just around about two corners so it would have been a shame not to collect this one.
Have noted that this is here for quite sometime but never had the chance to stop on by. Had a little bit of time before my final appointment of the day and as it wasn't too hot decided that I would collect this one.
Cache in great condition
Thanks for the placement

Decided earlier in the week that a mission to clean up some caches between Rotorua and Tauranga. Also took a new Geocacher with me Sakura7, to show her the ropes and show her what geocaching is all about. A great day was had and with some fantastic locations visited, even if the weather was average to poor at best, still at least it wasn't cold. And as a bonus no DNF's thou it was close on a few.
Thanks to everyone for the placements.
With the long grass and all the rain, meant wet feet for the walk to the cache. Lots of pukeko's and bunnies out today. Easy find once at GZ, cache in good order.

Took awhike but happy to find as grass so over grown. Master three was happy with the find...Time to trek back through the jungle
First find for 2015
Walkway needs a bit of TLC (grass was really long) but otherwise a nice place. TFTC

All the H.Hunters caching together today, thanks for bringing us to this park, we had no idea it was here at all. Enjoyed the sound of birds in the trees, a sign of things to come as this area regenerates. The cache took a little hunting for, we were nervous as some vehicle has recently taken out a gatepost and we wondered if the cache may have been muggled...... but MidiK to the rescue as usual!
The walkway is lovely but harder than it needs to be with all the hedge cuttings! Still fun, TFTC
Difficult walk on trimmings. Nice walk around. Windy and cloudy. Cache wet inside. Tftc

Found with nzkites, Frewilys and Jess 88. I enjoyed walking around this park. TFTC!
Enjoying an afternoon's caching with Frewilys, Jess_88 and The Brown Treasures.
We've had this one on the to-do list for ages too, so it was great to finally tick it off.
A nice area, thanks for bringing us here. Found by Mrs Frewilys after wandering around the tracks admiring the views, and then managed to get safely back to the car without losing anyone. TFTC!

Visited today to check on cache. Yes, it is still there, at the base of a big tree; a 1 litre sistema. Left TB... 'Aussie Racer 1'
Spent a long time looking , went 10m either side but GPS kept taking me back to the same spot If it was there it was well hidden.
Was enjoying my walk but a phone-call reminded me I'd totally lost track of time: oh so tempted to take a short-cut thro' the orchard as I ran back to the car (but didn't!). Great spot, TFTC
Second day of a trip up north finding some geocaches.
Another nice sunny day.
Good find on another fun walkway. SL TFTC

Thanks for bringing us to this lovely park - we didnt know it existed! TFTC!
A nice little cache. Thought that it would be a great place for a little frog travel bug.
