Replaced for long arms as somebody cheated (!) thanks I had heard about and seen the Woodlands series whenever I came near the airport- but havent actually come to find any. Today, after a drop official, early- I decided to try some. It turned out to be almost 4 hour time covering 16 km of terrain. Just over 40 caches were found, with a few inaccessible due to the new fence. Thanks Team_Woodlands for a great trail. All but 2 ,I found today had useable sharpened pencils. Terrific - I was carrying a pen. Generic log but small comments each cache.
Out for a morning walk with Team_Roberts1 finishing up the last few of this series today which had us walking to the south eastern corner of this park plus picking up a couple of previous DNFs.Well this one certainly needed a good stretch to get to, I could just reach it to retrieve but putting it back with its camo required the use of a stick! Nice one. Thanks heaps to Team Woodlands again
Checked on this one today.Changed the log.Sharpened the pencil. All good to go.
Out with Geobro and up from the Bellarine for the day attempting to complete this seriesTFTC
Today was my third visit to this park in an attempt to find the Woodlands 100 Series. I was hoping I would complete the series today, but unfortunately that would not turn out to be the case. This was certainly not helped by the fact I didnt arrive at the park till very close to 12pm. I arrived at the park at a different entrance compared to my previous visits, beginning my geocaching day in an area I hadnt quite explored during my previous journeys out here. I then began my route which I had planned for this visit, hoping I would find plenty of caches throughout the remainder of the day. This was my third find of the day. Happy to have another relatively quick find under my belt. All was in good condition with this hide and the views from GZ were great.TFTC
Theres sun forecast and I need to finish the woodland series. This is our 4th visit to complete the 100. Today we rode for 2.5hrs, shed some blood and finished with a 1.5km walk to grab a previous DNF and turn it into a smiley. Thanks for this wonderful series
Small update,
The paper we found was the old log, the new log is still there. We've put the old log back into the cache.

Found the old paper and chucked it back. Thank you iteem for replacing log
This morning I had to drop a group at the airport for an early flight, so took the opportunity to pack my MTB in the bus and go caching.
With a family member to collect, and a caching event to attend, my time in the park was now growing short.
I climbed the hill to this one, but initially drew a blank. I noted the previous log about the missing lid.
Shortly after, I located the lid, then noticed the pencil on a rock. A further search revealed the empty container wedged between two rocks, and containing some water.
The water removed and the container dried, I added a replacement log sheet from my bag and returned the pencil and lid to their proper places.
I placed the cache in a likely spot to match the hint, and added natural camouflage so it hopefully isn't tampered with again.
A good view from here indeed.

I was in the area after dropping my partner and daughter off at the airport. This was my third visit and I'm slowly plugging my way through the entire series. I walked a little over 13km on this cool June day.
I found doing these today was much better compared to the summer months as there really isn't a lot of tree over. All these were found easily using the hints provided. Thanks for the series, I'll probably finish it on the next run -
This was prob not where it was meant to be.

Out and about with Team T.A.C.K.T including Jaamc, Kpatt and tag along cazzajane07. We had a goal to tackle this series to help cover milestones for some of our members, 69 caches down, 20km of park explored and we had a blast, there was laughter, tears, the occasional swear as we took on the long hike and we all had a fantastic day out with the team :3
A huge day out with a total of 69 caches found for the day (including #100 for me and #1000 for jaamc_3335). A big thank you to team TACKT for inviting me along for the adventure and Team Woodlands for placing and maintaining all the logs!
On a beautiful sunny winters day Team TACKT + C set off for on our mission, Nyochi found this a cracker and we decided to stop here for lunch, nearly half way around, better keep moving before we can’t get up. thanks for placing this series
Loaded up the deadly treadly and headed off for another few hours at Woodlands.
Completed a small loop starting at the southern car park, and doing several eastern caches.
I recognized the rock formation, but not the cubby house built here.
Although I do have long arms, no cache could I reach here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded our bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.

Well this has been a long time coming, to do the Woodlands caches. Many a plan has fallen through due to health and pandemic and work issues. But finally all was on our side for a cracker geocaching day to end 2022.
With bikes loaded up we were off, left St.Arnaud just before 6am and had the first cache signed at 8.55am. Then it was just one by one, following the GPSr.
From flowing trails to bush bashing (with and without tall grass) and even a bit of water, we had a lot. All the while the sounds of planes going overhead, birds around and the odd 100 roos thumping the ground when we disturbed them.
We managed to make good time and accomplish all we set out to do. Despite the heat and a couple of hills I had to walk up.
We believe luck was on our side with the back paddock being opened, after seeing so many had commented on it being shut.
All in All, personally, it was great to finally get this series done with a couple others thrown in that are in the park.
Oh and by the way, we got back home just after 9.30pm. A big days outing.

When I look every where but that one spot had to stop sit on rock PAF. Had a plane fly very low over me that sure got my heart rate sky high.
Having dropped mum off at the airport, catnap777 and I made the most of our day by cycling the Woodlands in such perfect weather.
On this our 2nd visit to the park together, we managed to pick up every last available cache in the Woodlands leaving only those behind the catproof fence for us to find on another day when Parks Victoria eventually unlock the double gates to the Back Paddock. [^]
All caches were found or returned in good condition with dry logs and sharp pencils.

About and about with biggles1024 trying to see how many of the Woodlands 100 we can find.
This series has been on the to do list since it was published and for one reason or another we just haven’t made it out here, today we finally did.
Cache was found and log stamped or signed.
**Thanks to Team_Woodlands for placing this cache.**

Climbed to the top to get the best vantage point. Love the little fort built here too!
Today I finished the last of the Woodland historic series. 26 in total to complete the 100 in the series. Oh my feet are sore. But I must say what a great location and a great time I had here this week. TFTC.
Found with team milljrh as we tackled the next installment of the Woodlands 100 series. Enjoyed our afternoon in this gorgeous park. No DNFs (huzzah) but still some left for next time. I love this park. Thanks for such a great series and hours of covid safe entertainment.
One more at this end of Aeroplane (Jelly Brand) N thought he was clever but then we found the cache. HN
Sixth cache of the day. I am really enjoying this series. There is so much animal and bird life everywhere. A slice of bush in suburbia.
BIt of a search but enjoyed the challenge and the great views from up here. Nice hide TFTC

The sun was shining, and I was bored, so decided to go for a walk. Woodlands is mostly within my circle now that our range has been increased to ten klicks, and it's been a while.
Now, my normal parking spot west of the cemetery is (just) too far away, so I headed for the track east of the radar tower. Not particularly surprisingly, I wasn't the only one with this idea, so my car joined a dozen others and a gelati van.
Noting that the caretaker of the Woodlands cache series (which I was fortunate to log in my first couple of months of Geocaching, way back in 2012) was raring to get out as soon as possible for a maintenance run, I figured I could check out the hides on my way around, so I could at least provide feedback... And, hilariously, collect clues to the location of the final cache, which has moved from its original hiding spot.
And it is great to see that a visit to start the process was made yesterday. Quickly spotted.
Thanks, Team_Woodlands
