Sadly, it's well gone. No hint it was ever there. If I'm honest, it was a fairly optimistic hide to begin with so it won't be replaced. The park is now free for others to find a better hide

Mum and I are coming over to ChCh in December [1st-3rd] to geocache in this area and was wondering if this cache is going to be back in place by then. I will put it on my watchlist and if it is done we will call in and try to find it. Thanks:)

Sounds like justanurse is right, sadly. My daughter checked on it this afternoon and no joy.

Nice quick find whilst touring around the base of the Port Hills. Cache was quickly noticed as it was exposed. Endeavoured to hide it a bit better. Thanks Emma, say goodday to Dad from me.

a slight detour to stop off and get this one, a handy park for three of the 4 kids with us today to play in. Only one asleep in the car (oh and my geopom wife!) TFTC

Had to go back for this one as a cricket game was underway and the participants had their cars and picnics under the trees - right where GZ was. My permanent home looks over this park - although not so permanent after last February!!!

Muggles and us arrived together,they headed off to the Playground,and us to GZ,and found quickly.Good hide Emma,will we see more from you.Cheers W-BBT

Found while out for a long cycle on a beautiful afternoon. The coordinates were a bit off, but that was no matter since the cache was in plain sight. :0 Hid the container where it looked like it belonged. Cheers for the cache!

Tried without the clue - GPS sent us a bit away but found it eventually.

A lovely sunny day in Christchurch; all day at work I was itching to get outside - so it was time to find some caches at the end of the day. This time in 2011 I would have headed to the Port Hills, not quite so safe now!
Emma was on my way to Lyttelton and beyond; quick find, a few muggles happily occupied in the playground. TFTC

Merry Christmas Emma and family. Found today while taking my sister and nephew on a trip around the damaged parts of ChCh but needed to find this one as I passed on it after the event last week. Well placed and quickly found. Kiwicampnut

Been super busy and distracted of late so have been out-of-caching-action for a bit. Was nice to go out and about with the family for a wee afternoons adventure to the nearby playground for a wee play & to burn off some energy. Quick find by the wee dude (whilst wee wee dude had a snooze). Thanks. Hopefully this is the first of many for the holiday break.

Had to use a bit of extra stealth this morning and a couple of distraction tactics to avoid the attention of nearby cricketers. I am sure they were more interested in bat and ball than me. No problems with the cache. All good here. TFTC, Biggles.

Left lights on at a function - AA got it started but insisted to have 45 min run - caching was only option Thanks for the cache - thought the camo that had been left on cache was a little obvious - possibily worth changing it for something that blends in a little better . Dont want your cache to go missing as we have had that happen plenty of time Best wishes LGM

Just remembered (Jan 2012) to log this on-line, so I had to go back and see what date I wrote in the paper log.

The park was very quiet today, only a dog being exercised. Thanks for the cache and the walk in the park.

Our quake smashed house looks down on here so this used to be our local park.

3918. We were out with the grandchildren today and this was a great place to visit. There was a cricket match in action but we might as well have been invisible as noone took any notice of what we were doing. The children loved the playground and so we were there for quite some time.
An enjoyable afternoon.

FTF! A very cold blustery night, but any night is good for a FTF! My iPhone 4 (what I use to geocache) is out of action at the moment so I had to use my girlfriend's iPhone 3G which has pathetic GPS (like 150m out), but given the terrain rating and clue I decided to go for it anyway. It paid off, wish I had worn a jersey though. Took FTF GC. TFTC (411)
