Just spending a couple of days at Katoomba and enjoying finding some caches around this magnificent area. It is especially beautiful in spring time. There were no problems finding this one. TFTC.
Visiting Australia for the first time from Minnesota, USA. Thoroughly enjoyed the views and caching while walking sections of the cliff trail. Found after a brief search. Dropped a TB. TNSL - TFTC. (3922)
And so again I feel I can do nothing else than putting a favorite for an Australian cache... The caches here are sometimes hard to find but they sure do brought us to some amazing spots!
Here in the Blue Mountains I was very proud of my girl Miss Bij, who is scared of heights, but did some of the trails very bravely. On the search for the Elysian Rock cache, she let me do most of the work and she also didn't dare to stand on the far end of the lookouts and the bridge over the deep gap here. I have to admit that I really understand why, the wind was fierce out here and I really had to grab hold of the fence to keep standing. If I was only a bit lighter, I would have feared the wind would've blown me right over the edge...
So a big favorite for this cache and many thanks!!!

Beautiful and quiet view from this place. After a tsunami of tourists in Scenic World we needed this!! TFTCGL!
We found this one during our camper-van holiday in Australia.
Thank you for the Cache and greetings from Germany.

Lots of tourist around today! Luckily this one was a little of the detour track. There are still massive works going on to repair the lookout after the fires.

Came over from New Zealand for 6 days for a visit and some caching, plenty of walking and an opera at the Opera House in Sydney (my first time caching outside NZ). I'm staying in Katoomba and today mostly walking around Katoomba and Leura. I too noticed all the burnt trees, they look quite sad. The new bridge is almost finished I'd say. Cache was soon found, but being a Kiwi in a land of no snakes I was anxious about snakes here! I take my walking pole with me and use that to poke around not my hands!
Walking along the rim we searched also this cache. Thanks to very accurate coordinates we found it quickly. Thank you for this cache at this very nice location.
Driving from Dubbo & Sydney stopped at the Toy Musuem. Lovely place for a cache. Thank you
Found with Jimmy, Joni, Jo and Arid as the mist rolled in through the valleys. Great view TFTC
The cache is outside the fenced off work zone. It can still be accessed.
The cache needs a new logbook, the current one is full.

Arrived at this one just as some workman were completing some fencing. I suggest this cache may need to be archived as it may well be 10m behind a fence for quite a long period of time as the track has maintenance done upon it.
I had to walk the long way around from the neighbouring cache due to track works. An old couple were sitting at the lookout while I hunted this one out. I think they were hard of hearing as they didn't notice I was there.
I crossed path with a blue-tongue lizard on the return trip.
Thanks for the cache.

Found on a family holiday in the Blue Mountains. Breathtaking views from the lookout near GZ. 22nd find for the trip. TFTC.
A great spot. We've done a few caches in this area before & only a couple of months ago found the neighbouring cache. We would have continued on to this one then had the track restrictions not been there.
As we signed the cache a gyrocopter flew past which was at about the same altitude as us, probably even lower. Looked like fun!
Cheers,
The Hancock Clan

Despite major construction work at the lookout, the cache is intact and able to be accessed without going anywhere you shouldn't.

I don't do heights! So as I was coming down to the lookout, the Magellan was indicating 40m to the right. I said to myself, "Nope. Not doing it." As I was walking back up, and came across and father and son with a similar hobby. After a quick chat, I decided that it was worth a go. Lucky I did, as the trail from the lookout had nothing to be afraid of. Still don't do heights though. Got it!
Wish I had read the previous logs of this cache before I set off from the car, I had a spare logbook I could have brought with me. I didn't even have a receipt I could leave. Another top spot for a cache. a bit windy to sit for to long buy the sound of the frogs in the background was peaceful. Tftc
Really struggled with this one. I walked down the trail toward the lookout and realised that the cache was a little way into the overgrowth. Although my phone's GPS was directing me to a certain spot, I wasn't seeing anything cache-ey. No idea whether this was because of the rubbish weather today, or if it was due to the coordinates. After about half an hour of scouring the area I was getting frustrated. I decided to take in the view one last time before heading back, when I realised nature was calling... I walked into the bush to find a spot, looked down... and there the cache sat. Man, good thing I'm not completely terrible at this. Signed the bottom of a receipt a past finder put in. Definitely in need of a new log. TFTC, thanks for taking me here.
Took a little searching but we had the place to ourselves until it came to replacement time. We could hear frogs chirping nearby!
The Little Green Man-TB, the Kiwi Stormtrooper-TB and THE RACKETEER-GC visited this place on 08/10/2014. Sorry for logging so late. Cheers lausitzhexen / Germany
had to go cross country.. shame lookout and walk to olympian rock was temporarily closed. new log needed!
Beautiful afternoon, great view, frogs croaking in the background. Track has suffered some significant damage which is a real shame - such a beautiful spot. Tftc.
We looked everywhere for this one. The compass was of no use so we went to GZ on the map. Couldn't find a thing. Oh well. Shame.
After rain in the evening, the moon was my only companion logging this Cache in the windy darkness.
I needed a second look because the GPS was pointing the opposite way but then found it very easily.
Found a few empty spots in the logbook and used one.
Interesting to see the bushland growing back.
Thank you!

Like a previous cacher we walked past this at first; our GPS had GZ at S 33° 43.566, E 150° 19.796. Log book was full, very full. Good to see the ground cover starting to grow back.
On our way from the camping in Katoomba to Sydney, we found some caches with some favourites. This was one of them. An easy find for my daughter, while I was still busy with the gps on the tablet... TFTC from the Netherlands.
Another nice lookout that I have never visited before. Thank you for bringing us here. It's too bad about the fire that went through here and took out the track. GZ certainly was rather 'exposed'. TFTC!
As you say, it wasn't too hard to find. Actually we walked past it at first with our GPS's taking us a little further on, but, on looking around. there it was! TFTC jonnosan and for bringing us to this lovely spot.
Found this one on my roadtrip through Australia, while exploring Katoomba & surrounds. I really enjoyed the views along my walk. Another quick find on my travels.

We had very nice trip to Blue Mountains. The weather was beautiful. On the way were takebreathing views. We found 19 caches. Thank you all owners fot them. Greetings from the Czech Republic.
Found this one by accident while bushwalking, and introduced me to the world of geocaching. Somebody by the name of "Elizabeth Evatt" stole the dollar coin so I put a glass marble inside. The log is completely full.
Well, this was a funny experience!
Headed off on the walk, with caches with 'amazing views', only to discover the whole area was white with mist!! Our views were completely white and it was quite an intriguing adventure. The cache itself took way too long to find, and I don't know why. The GPSr was a little out, I think, but when we found it it was oh so obvious!!!
Thanks jonnosan for the walk, cache and "view".

A bit of head scratching as the iphone played silly buggers but found it in the end. Tftc
This was my first visit to the Blue Mountains and the views were far more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. I parked my car on the roadside and took a walk to the three caches here in Leura. Thanks for poiinting this beautiflu spot and thanks for the cache! Greetings from Finland.
Found on a geo trip with tmann421, great area with lots of scenery to visit.
Thanks to all the geocachers in the area for bringing us to some great spots.
Sorry for the late & repeat logs, just so many to catch up on.

This a second cache that we found on the trip to the leura and We are having a nice lunch and coffee.
30/09/13. 8:47 AM. Cache #938. After finding Stairway to Heaven, time to head back to base in Leura to pick up the geofamily and head for Jenolan. On the way back to Leura; more caches along the way.
I had a DNF at the nearby Gordon Falls cache, my next plan was to follow this track from there to Leura Beautiful View and then get this on the way back to the car. But the track was closed beyond this point, so I started looking for this one and found it pretty quickly. Headed up Elysian Pl to the toy & railway museum to see if I could tackle Leura Beatiful View from a different angle but I didn't have $2 on me to get through the gate, so left this cache as my last find of the day. TFTC }:)

Awesome view! Would not have found this lookout otherwise, thanks for the adventure. Tftc
This was such a great spot to view the Blue Mountains. It literally took our breath away as we were so scared as we felt like we were on the edge of the earth! We were worried that the cache was beyond our reach with the temporary council fencing that had been put in, but we were able to access it no probs. Thank you for the great stop!
I remember the cache that once lived around here. Much more exposed since the fire went through.
Another great viewing point on my introduction to the Blue Mountains, in the great company of Spindoc Bob.
We managed to find it while chatting with muggles as they passed by.

Easy find when you notice something a little different about the ground. Tftc. No sign of the travel bug in there tho.
One of the best views you'll find in the blue mountains area. Thanks for bringing me to this spot.
